I've watched more than 70 romcoms but this is my first time writing a review because holy peak what a perfectly written ending goddamm.
I've never felt so satisfied with an ending.
I've rooted for Megumi since the beginning.
Apart from that the whole set-up still the end was great i think they could've made two more seasons even if they didn't made the movie but yeah they did a great job.
A lot of anime ends right after the final confession but they showed more than we expected and it was a blessing to my eyes i was grinning like a creep in the end I can't describe it with words.
I'll absolutely rewatching it again next year i want to witness this peak again

This anime left me with very mixed feelings, especially after the midpoint of the second season. From that point on, I feel that the plot’s progression and the characters didn’t develop the way I would have liked.
As for the movie, while it’s visually stunning from an artistic standpoint, I still have the same issue I had with the second season. I would have preferred a different ending for both the second season and the movie.
I also think the characters could have fought a bit harder for what each of them wanted — especially when it comes to the romantic side of the story

Absolutely phenomenal.
This anime is a complete story - 2 seasons and a movie (and some specials).
This review pertains to the full show - 2 seasons + movie + specials.
You have to watch all of it for the payoff, but trust me the payoff is absolutely fantastic, and it comes in this movie after season two.
The movie is without a doubt the best romantic anime I have ever watched. (or on par with Kaguya-sama)
It is quite original in my opinion, compared to other romance anime.
How so? Well it actually has plot/focus.
The characters have GOALS - and I mean real goals, whereas in other anime the romance is the goal itself, here is different.
While there are some tropes, with the 2 main girls especially - they will perhaps appear like a thousand other anime girls you have seen before. HOWEVER…

The movie on its own was very enjoyable for me. (excluding the LNs). I feel it tied up the buildup of S1 and S2 very well.
I did feel that the character growth in a few cases was accerated (possibly due to the movie being a condensation of 6 LN volumes).
The coclusion of the romance between the main couple was presented nicely IMO but I am partial to happy endings and clear conlusions.
I was apprehensive when there was "haren" listed under themes. I find those harem animes where the MC doesn't make a choice at the end very unsatisfying for me, but thats personal preference.
While the whole story including S1 and S2 would be a rom-com, the movie is more Rom than com, which is not entirely a bad thing considering it's tying up the loose ends which it does well enough.

All I want to say is that I waited for the events of this movie to happen ever since I saw episode 9 from the first season.
Everything was possible, until that episode 9. What happened in that episode destroyed my favorite couple and made me make 3 predictions, using all the clues I had so far.
All 3 predictions came true in this movie. One of the predictions though didn't actually happen, it was a joke the author pulled at the end, but I'm glad he know how his audience would think and made that segment.
That being said, screw this author in particular for hating the childhood friend trope. Like god damn man, he cracked down hard on the trope for the entire story. Like what anime hurt you that you had to take revenge in your story on the trope so much.
Good movie, delivers on the b…

At first, when I watched the first season of Saekano, I didn’t find anything special about the series, so I thought it was boring and decided to put it off for later. Years went by, and when I decided to give it another try, I finally found the hook that made this series so unique, and that’s when I got interested in watching it. By the time I reached the movie, I ended up loving this series. For example, Megumi Kato initially seemed like just an ordinary heroine, almost like a background character. But she completely stole my heart.
I highly recommend this series. I truly enjoyed the story's progression, the development of the heroine, and especially Megumi Kato, who transformed from being plain to absolutely adorable.
As I followed this series, I noticed how Megumi acted almost like a…

For more intense fans and talented people may find this anime somewhat undermining and incomplete. The swift from seasons to the movie could be seen as rushed for a lot of people. But after watching the whole series for more than 15 time. I still cry and get emotion during the " Tomoya is mine" part. Some people say that there was no romantic development between Tomoya and Magumi before this movie but when you truly know Magumi, You can see the work or somthing like that that she was putting from as back as season 1.
This kind of feeling is totally due to me being an introverted nerd who will always dream to have a life like Tomoya but I think that was what the creator wanted. To make lazy, boring nerds like us to skip a heartbeat.
I read a review that said the other two girls were far m…

The romance is felt here, the ecchi and harem are reduced, yes because it's the end of the story when the heroine has no development, but I feel that there is something missing from this anime, because yes, in season 1 and season 2 there is mostly fan service according to me, but at the end of season two and in the movie it has been corrected a little, I don't want to be naive but the author is realistic bro, he knows the market demand and he fulfills it, maybe because it will be crowded and get a sequel quickly,And yeah, it's true that the gap from season 1 & 2 is only about 2 years and that's relatively fast, especially since there are many anime that don't even get adaptations quickly, but what I like about this anime is only comedy, there's very little romance even only at the end, the…

Lord, it ended, it finally ended! the long journey of my 7 years waiting for this anime to end, holy hell, this feels like a dream. My used to be favorite romance and my first romance anime i've discovered to be wholesome that is mature and full of context and out of placed jokes that is not even that funny but light that gives the show some light scene, also to mention that this show has its unnecessary fan service? hell yeah! Like what aki said its "fulfilling its otaku dream" as myself was a VN enjoyer, Manga enjoyer, and ofc, oh you guess it right, ANIME ENJOYER! as a saenai heroine no sodatekatta fan or saekano to be flatted (heh) I'm really enjoying this last bit of its arc, of course who doesnt? because this is the long awaited finally ended series is now getting its pro…

The series wraps up beautifully, delivering an enjoyable experience with its charismatic characters, engaging interactions, and captivating drama. The epilogue was particularly entertaining—I was nearly fooled by the first part
The story picks up seamlessly from where the second season left off, neatly tying up all loose ends. While not an epic conclusion, it aligns well with the series' tone and narrative trajectory.
Despite its age, the franchise boasts solid artistry across character design, backgrounds, and music, maintaining a timeless quality.
While character depth may not be overly intricate, emotional resonance is palpable throughout, from lighthearted moments to gripping drama.
In summary, fans of the first and second seasons will likely find satisfaction in the series' conclu…

Not bad so far
Overall I can say:
Character developments are huge explained and shown in this MV.
Arts improved compare to series and OVA.
Storyline improved and there's wow-factor included.
Every characters, especially the male and female main protagonists, in these series, OVA & MV have the huge rollercoasters (up & down), especially Katao Megumi, which I acknowledge her the real female protagonist especially the finale version.
The love sacrifices between the characters are showing great which can make the viewer teared especially those shippers.. I would like to say, this is the best rom-con finale so far..
Very recommended to watch!!!

The best romance anime I've ever seen. I don't care if anyone disagree with me but I really enjoyed everything from this anime and this movie made me tear up a bit and that's why I make my first review here
Though I gotta say the story in this movie is rushed and doesn't hit hard enough like season 1 and 2 do, but the ending is very satisfying. The visual and arts in this movie is great as usual thanks to Cloverworks Studio for animating this beautiful movie.
Overall, I can't thank Fumiaki Maruto enough for making this exceptional story!
Very recommended to watch!!!

THIS IS A SPOILER-FREE REVIEW
After the mildly enjoyable first season and the surprisingly mature second season, this movie marks the end to the story of Tomoya, Kato and their development circle. Ending a show with a movie has been a trend for anime in the 2010s and sometimes it can really work. But did it here to?
Story – 7/10
The first thing i have to say is that… i really don´t think this should have been a movie at all. I´d preferred it to be season 3. The storytelling still retains the strong and emotional vibe from the second season but the movie fails to build up the emotions correctly over a long time. There were some standout scenes but it was really a hit or miss for me whether they hit accordingly or not.
The main idea of this movie was good but the execution was a bit off.…

Every man can be a jerk like Tomoya, but not every girl can be the main heroine like Megumi
Its a great ending for the show, imma gonna give (8.81) for it.
A story that goes slowly but surely to produce a satisfying ending. An ending that is true to reality and acceptable even though it still feels like something is missing. In the end, the ending of the story was still able to steal my attention and to be honest it's almost the best movie. But it is what it is. Talking about characterizations, I dare say that Katou Megumi is the best written for the main heroine character. Her cunning in a good sense really surprised me, basically she is cunning in love but logically acting like that doesn't hurt. The characterization of the main character and main heroine is suitable and relatable beca…

Overall this was a great finale to Saekano. I loved the both previous seasons and this was such a great movie finale that I'm even going spend my first ever review on it.
Animation was great like before, romance was much better because they decided to have an even heavier focus on it during this movie and the story itself was really well executed.
My only real complain was the cut on the screentime for some of the characters in the previous two seasons. Utaha especially didn't really have any screentime during this movie and there wasn't really any development.
I absolutely loved the ending after the credits, it made me confused at first but then I got really happy and I see it as a perfect ending for this show.
If you liked the previous two seasons, you're most likely going to like/lo…

The end story is terrible. Believe the author is forcing the unrealistic loveline between MC and the boring GF while she was not the best girl out of 3 possible romance candidate.
The art style is decent.
Senpai is clearly the best girl and also carries the most influence on MC's character and career development.
MC and the boring GF had no romantic feeing towards one another for an entire 2 seasons. Somehow author force the romance towards the boring heroin in the last arc which is the major let down for its ending.
I believe most people would have love it more should the MC ends up with the Senpai.

Daymmm, that was one of the best romance anime series i've ever watch. So enjoyable from the start to the end. You should watch this movie if you really want to know a great ending of a romance series, a good character development, and a cute couple scenes.
Firstly, the character. I love an anime that has many characters. It makes the anime more joyful and interesting. From the first and second anime we know the MC kinda have harem circle with those talented girls. Each of them have their own uniqueness and personality. There are the senpai-ish one, the childhood one, and also the normal one. I like every character in this anime and also the main character is somehow realistic. A person that can't do everything and can made mistake. He's not like other edgy anime MC that can do anything a…

Great wrap up for the previous 2 seasons. This is the best and logical ending for the series.
If you are not happy with his kind of ending, I can only think of 2 reasons; either you are a masochist who seek anguish and despair storyline, or you are a heavy Eriri / Utaha simp.
From the very beginning we should have known who the main heroine was. Episode after episode goes by, flag after flag is being raised, we can see the route getting clearer and the movie completes it all with a satisfying ending.
I love how the series has evolved from the easy rom-com style of the first 2 seasons to more mature art and narrative in the movie as the characters get older. The sense of completion is very satisfying.

Saekano was one of the few harem shows that was actually interesting and well executed. I really loved the first two seasons and was hoping for a 3rd season but instead they decided to just wrap it up in a movie format.
I think the movie definitely delivers on providing a satisfying finale while wrapping up the romance aspect. The animation and art were fantastic, the music was great and the story was simple yet engaging. The post credit scene is also incredibly wild!
The limited runtime of a movie does result in some issues such as some characters, Michiru and Izumi, having minimal screen time and relevance to the plot. Due to the plot having more focus on the romanctic development, the game development process is brushed over quickly which might not be to everyone's liking. My one pers…

I will admit, I am a sucker for movie finishers. The amount that is able to go into a big budget film can be the perfect top off to a great series. However, I didn't expect to get that at all from this movie. Boy was I wrong. Instead I found a finisher film that rivals my love for the Working!!! movie and how it concluded it's story. Whereas the Working movie accurately portrayed its character growth and the development of romantic feelings much better than this films overall rushed romance (my only real issue with the film) How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend accurately portrayed the feelings of heartbreak. In a series where only one girl out of three can eventually win the heart of the protagonist, the reactions of the losing two aren't brushed off as they often are in other series, but rat…
