The core idea of this entire show is that if you sexually harass your colleague hard enough, they'll be interested in you again.
There is precious little in this show for anyone, really. Even the most ardent fujoshi should be able to look at this show and understand just how well it models a hostile working environment. Sure, the main pair has some history together. That history was a decade prior. It's totally inappropriate for Takano to be behaving in this manner, especially given their workplace dynamic as team leader and individual contributor.
The characters are just barely 2-dimensional, possessing just enough individual personality that you can tell them apart.
If you choose to watch this show despite this review, understand that this is not in any way how a gay person should…

Cute story, messy episode build and decent drawing. The 3 first episode contain "naughty" content, but rest of the serie they always fades it away.
They add past story, then jumps to different characters, then the present time, then jumps to a different characters which makes it very messy. I would personally prefer the other to be Saquels instead of being part of the Main anime..i only feels like "here is the Office Staff and their backstory, and they are all secretly gay for each other.. "
I do recommand this anime tho if youre into bl, but do look up the recommanded episode order.
The drawing started out weird the first 3 episodes but then it gets better.. or i got used to it haha..
Music is fine, I love how the created the intro and outtro but not so much fan of the music..

this was my first yaoi ever and I am forever fan of this serie, maybe story is not something special but come on, I mean I do appreciate interesting motives and uncommon themes but this was just pure enjoyment for my young gay ass and even after 10 years I still like to go back to watch this or read manga because story of ritsu and takano-san is just adorable and intense. I like all other couples also, theirs stories are well driven and I enjoyed them as well.
Even after reading many mores bl mangas and watching yaois I still consider it for my personal masterpiece and good 9 overall because it's just damn enjoyable to watch and rewatch and after all, that is art about.

yayyyyyyyyyy Just watched it and I am feeling so much of emotions lol.
I really adore this anime. Its extremely passionate and the main character is pretty funny and I feel like their chemistry is really good.. even if there are some flaws in the mc's love interest, I did like it prollly because its my first BL lol so yea do giuve this a chance, Its heartwarming, kinda school but because this show was really enjoyable for me, I am giving it a 10 lol
and since it has a good plot that really just makes u invested in the show I d like to say that it could made better for example, natural romance instead of the guy forcing himself on okudera, That is sth I really didnt like.. but yea dont let this one flaw destroy the whole show, there are some good elements too :D

I thought this would be a typical yaoi but wow I was wrong. This had genuine heart to it. There was an actual plot and it was going somewhere other than the bedroom. I was shocked and pleased every single episode by how real this show was. I seriously think every yaoi lover needs to watch th is.
I thought it would be the same as Junju. Again, I was super wrong. This show is leagues beyond what Junju could ever be. I'm talking better characters, more entertaining plot, more realistic relationships, and funnier dialogue. I was laughing so hard constantly but also tearing up. My heart would not stop pounding at the angst. This is a show to remember.
I am so sad there isn't another season coming soon, but there are tons of OVAs and the manga is still ongoing. This show is everything!!!!

This is my first review so please don't end me ;-;
I am purely basing this on watching the FIRST season of the anime alone, NOT the manga. I haven't read the manga, so I was pretty much "going into it blindly". Also this is my opinion, so don't think you shouldn't watch the show purely on this. You should watch the show to form your own opinion on it, maybe you will even enjoy it.
I will try to not spoil the story TOO much, but just in case, read at your own risk!
Im just gonna cut it to the chase and say that the series completely frustrated me. The beginning and the set-up of the story was completely fine, it was even fun. Though the more I watched the show, the less it began entertaining to watch, and it became like a chore to reach the end. When I did reach the end, I got completel…

Seakaiichi Hatsukoi world of sexual assault and abuse
No means no? No, we haven't heard
The most important problem of this show is the fact that "romantic relationships" are not romantic, they are hysterical, built on blackmail and manipulation of the partner.
Story? What plot? No, it's just a regular slice of life. Chewing the same problems, character thoughts, experiences, and words over and over again. Sometimes office work and sexual assaults. That's the whole story.
Ritsu Onodera and Takano - this is one of the biggest problems. Takano is a man to be called an abuser. Yes Yes. Onodera tells him a thousand times that she loves him no more and I don't want anything to do with him. But Takano doesn't care. She harassed him sexually in most episodes. Onodera says no, but Takano doesn't ca…

Overall not bad but so many times the characters made me absolutely livid by being completely wish washy. I understand they have to act like they dont have feeling for one another but how can you drag it on for so long. Onodera start making me so mad everytime he was on screen. I started watching cause the premise seemed really good but the characters are really lacking. If they had little more depth or just a tiny more common sense i wouldve really felt like this couldve been big. There has to be a limit on how long you can drag on the situation.

i'm gonna skip the first few reviews since the people below me have already given a good description. now, what i'm gonna write is both a personal opinion- and a warning.
the author of sekaiichi hatsukoi has a tendency of multiple things; stereotypical tops and bottoms, for example. semes have big yaoi hands(literal fūcking snakes) and a weird chin, while ukes are small and dainty with awkwardly big irises. this is a problem from the artist. the stereotypes cause a bad view on the lgbt community, like bottoms are girly or tops are manly.
next is romanticised rape; my biggest enemy. it's pretty hard to find a bl series without rape. the seme, who is in love with the uke for some reason, thinks the way to make the bottom fall in love with him is to sexually assault him. he does this multip…

Though I thoroughly enjoyed this series even on the rewatch, I cannot say it is better than Junjou Romantica. Mainly this is because there’s so little progress in the story compared to the previous series. It’s disappointing even though I very much love the cuteness of the series. Especially considering tsundere characters are my weakness. Initially I thought it was better than Junjou Romantica however since rewatching both and continuing into the manga now years later, I just cannot believe that anymore. Even just looking at s1ep12 of Junjou there was more progress made than in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. The misunderstandings upon misunderstandings also get to me since the series takes so long to actually do something about them. Ultimately, this series is adorable fanservice and I greatly appre…

So, I'm a little conflicted on how to review this anime properly because I did enjoy it to the fullest extent. I'm gonna try to give criticisms here so I'm not so biased, but it really is a fun anime to watch regardless of its imperfections.
I'm not the biggest fan of the art style. The character designs aren't exactly the nicest to look at all the time because of the facial proportions, but I guess that's down to taste. Additionally, the characters are all very similar in appearance, so I actually had a difficult differentiating between them initially. As far as scenery and stuff goes, it isn't really all that spectacular. So, I guess you could say the art is average. The music is also average, though the voice acting is pretty awesome. It sets the tone for comedic scenes really well.…

It's been a while since I finished the anime, meaning all Junjou and Sekaiichi seasons.
So I'm gonna write a review of Sekaiichi as I feel like giving a shoutout to a specific thing from the anime that I'll be mentioning in a bit.
Let me quickly add to this that it was amazing to watch Junjou and Sekaiichi crossover moments, it was awesome and a great idea.
Anyway let's get into it!
The story:
The story itself is great and super cute in so many ways, and there's a lot of drama and like JJR, the characters in this anime always tend to overthink everything that happens, which sometimes gets on my nerves but yeah.
I like how this is all based on real artistic manga editing, speaking of the characters daily jobs in the story, or so I think.
The art is super great and the face expressions…

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.

A very generic BL story, which I would describe as a waste of time.
Unlike other BL anime this anime goes no further than a kiss, let me remind you all character are 18+ but nothing more than that developed.
As usual the younger boy in 2 of the 3 cases was basically the same character, both being unaware of their own feelings and looking and sounding exactly the same.
Would rather this focused on 1 couple instead of 3, as this got very confusing with the character all looking alike.
How much more generic could you get than a BL story being based around literature/manga
Studio Deen seems to copy and paste all their BL stories, so if you've seen one you've seen them all.
Waste of time, DONT WATCH! Have no idea how this anime is rated so high

TLDR; Even if it has BL, it doesn't excuse the show from poor writing and poorly written characters.
I like BL... which is something this show has. But I also like good writing... which is something this show DOESN'T have.
Story 3/10
As I mentioned before, this show's writing is pretty bad. The story is basically the characters going through the everyday issues they have at work (needing to meet a deadline, being overworked, ...being sexually harassed by their boss...) and a bunch of romantic melodrama that basically boils down to bad communication. A lot of decisions the characters make are questionable and usually made me go "WTF you doin m8". Oh, and apparently all the dudes that work at this shoujo department are gay. Makes sense.
Art 7/10
It's good. Many attractive bishies and st…

It's really too bad that only popular BL manga gets an anime, not actually quality BL manga. I am clearly getting too darn old for this.
But at least it isn't as bad as BL anime used to be, so that's progress. Nobody is actually getting outright raped! We just have to put up with the never ending dubcon and the obnoxious stereotypes. The stories are contrived, but at least hang together by a thread, so that's something else to be grateful for. I had trouble with the pacing -- we get 4 episodes with couple A, then 2 with couple B, back to couple A, then 2 episodes with couple C; I felt like story coitus interruptus every few episodes. I think this would have worked better as either distinct parts A, B, and C, or much more interwoven. The latter would have required a lot of authorial skill.…

I don't have much experience with shounen-ai, but it's a genre I'm interested in and enjoy. I've watched Nakamura Shungiku's other series, Junjou Romantica, and enjoyed it. I happened upon Sekaiichi Hatsukoi while checking out Junjou Romantica's anime page on MAL, and was pretty excited to find a new story in the same "world."
STORY → 9/10
I enjoyed the stories in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi because a lot of them were really entertaining to watch, even if I sometimes wanted to shake the characters because they were frustrating. The anime opens with Onodera, the son of a literary publishing house CEO. Frustrated that his coworkers think he's only a hotshot editor because of his name, he quits and goes to work for Marukawa Publishing - and ends up in their manga department, where his boss happens to…

Ah, my new favourite anime of all time. Where to start...
Story: 10
Just beautiful. I mean they had a romance already established relationship in high school and basically broke up for misunderstandings. And then they found each other again 10 years later! Also I enjoyed the other two romances a lot. I enjoyed them much more than the other 2 romances in Junjou Romantica. Not that they're bad, I just enjoyed these a lot better.
Art: 6
Sometimes the art could get very gorgeous. I also loved the constant use of the characters facial expressions. It made me laugh. Although the art could of been better, it didn't bother me a whole lot.
Sound: 8
There isn't much I can remember besides the opening themes song which are really catchy. The first theme song is my Jam.
Character: 10
Although som…

*this is my first review, so it's probably not going to be the most coherent thing, but I'll give it a go!
For what it's worth, I enjoyed this anime. The only things I knew about it before I began to watch it was that a) gayness, and b) manga. Trust me when I say that it delivered strongly on both of those points!
To start off with, the things that worked: (for me)
- I really enjoyed the environment. It reminds me of GSNK, but on a much larger scale, where there's various processes in manga production, and certain people specialise in certain areas. I dunno, I just found it interesting, and that it created some good moments for the characters.
- It's funny. It's light. It's fluffy. PLUS it's BL, and when all of that combines together... well, I'm just absolute trash for anything like t…

After finishing the first two seasons of Junjou Romantica and feeling kind of 'meh', I decided it was about time to check Sekaiichi Hatsukoi. I had heard many good things about it, and believed I should give it a shot.
I was extremely dissappointed.
The story itself actually does have some backbone, and the setting in general is interesting - the editing industry isn't often spoken of in anime or manga, and I think it captured the atmosphere really well.
But then...there's the art. To be fair, Nakamura-sensei has really improved over the years, and the anime looks clean. But in some places, it just seemed very unappealing and awkward. That's only because I'm very picky with the art, though - I may be a little harsh, here.
Now, if there is something I cannot forgive, however, it's the…
