2 Reviews In English And Turkish: English: Each episode is made by a different anime studio, and it's enjoyable to see new stories, characters, animation styles in every episode. It adapts innovative and absurd ideas into the SW universe in an interesting way. It's worth watching. Loved Ronin episode so much I wish we get to see it gets a series just like Ninth Jedi 7/10 Türkçe: Her bölümü farklı bir anime stüdyosu yapıyor ve her bölüm yeni hikayeler, yeni karakterler, yeni anime stilleri görmek çok keyifli. Yenilikçi ve absürt fikirleri Star Wars'a uyarlıyor, izlenilebilir. Özellikle Ronin bölümü çok iyiydi keşke Ninth Jedi gibi onun da kendi serisini görebilsek 7/10

Lowk has the potential to be a 10/10 or 9/10 show, but they keep switching the story around, like most individual stories have potential but are either very rushed or need to be continued. I wish it could be higher, too, because so many of the characters are interesting but unexplored. I do like how the art style changes, and it seems like it could be really good, but the fact that they only get 20 minutes makes it so much worse. I feel like I get attached to the characters and then they disappear. I watched it a long time ago, so it might not be as good as I'm saying, but I remember a lot of the stories being interesting, and it was so infuriating when I would have to watch a new episode because I wouldn't even see a refrence of the previous episode.

I Have A Good 🎇Feeling About This °7.5 VG° some minor spoilers Japan, the world leader in animation, partners with Star Wars, the world's largest fantasy franchise. Visions consists of 9 stand alone animation shorts produced by 7 Japanese studios. It's professional fan fiction, pretty much. Visions multiplies the franchise's coefficient of expansion. Most of the plot lines and varied animation styles are exotic: Anime fans should be the most pleased by the series. It is definitely in the ether with its imaginative plots and artwork. They did a smash-up job. Disney/Lucasfilm is slowly gaining momentum on its crawl back to competence. Visions broadens the Lucasverse. It opens the hatch to allow us a clear perspective regarding the limitless courses that can be plotted in exploration of…

You can't just take any art style and slap it onto Star Wars, it doesnt work like that. About half of the episodes look like Anime made for children. Very questionable voice actor choices in some episodes aswell. Grandpa voice on a 45yo man doesnt fit. One episode isnt enough to tell a very intriguing story or flesh out characters so filling it with 90% dialogue isnt exactly a good way of making it entertaining. Some characters react completely illogical which doesnt help. Some episodes were very enjoyable while others were unwatchable. Just goes to show that just because a well known big studio makes something doesnt guarantee it's going to be good.

Okay, Star Wars: Visions. An interesting experiment for Disney, and one that seems to have paid off. This features shorts from many of anime’s most exciting current studios, including Studio Colorido, Studio Trigger, and Science Saru. They also tapped some lesser, but still interesting studios like Geno Studio and Kamikaze Douga (the people behind the CG Jojo’s OPs and also that abysmal anime Batman movie). Production I.G. and Kinema Citrus also animated one short a piece. I’m not a big Star Wars guy. I’ve seen the original trilogy twice, the prequels once, and the sequels never. I am a weird nerd, but I’m not the type of weird nerd that’s weird about Star Wars. I’m writing mostly to give myself a platform to write: The Phantom Menace is an unbelievable piece of dogshit and the people w…

Visions only gets a 7.10 on MAL however I really enjoyed it. Sure, not all episodes were great (cough Tatooine rhapsody cough) but it was still very enjoyable. The series is really just a collection of individual stand alone stories. Most were good, some were brilliant and a few were bland. However it provided a new and interesting perspective on the star wars universe with the traditional Japanese take on the force and the star wars universe working surprisingly well. I also found that the characters were surprisingly well developed for the screen time they received and the stories too were interesting and surprisingly complex yet without overwhelming the viewer. Surprisingly, the villains as well as the heroes are developed. The Sith In Ninth Jedi for example feel friendship and camarade…

Star Wars: Visions is an anime anthology series created for the American streaming service Disney+. Produced by Lucasfilm Animation, the series consists of nine short films created by seven Japanese animation studios, each telling their own original stories based on and set within the Star Wars universe. The participating animation studios are Kamikaze Douga, Studio Colorido, Geno Studio, Trigger, Kinema Citrus, Production I.G, and Science SARU. The creators at each studio were given free rein to re-envision the ideas of Star Wars as they saw fit, while receiving guidance from Lucasfilm's executive team. The anthology was released worldwide on September 22, 2021. Naturally, the critic community acclaimed it, but Rotten Tomatoes’ scoring has more than proven how out of touch critics are fr…

I have mixed feelings on Star Wars: Visions. Some episodes were definitely better than others, with the stand outs being episodes 4 and 5. And as off-putting as the whole furry thing can be, episode eight really does stands out story-wise. Though Visions could definitely benefit from more build up towards the climax in each of its stories, especially in regards to the characters, it still manages to be a fun watch most of the time. But enough thought rambling, here’s a breakdown by episode: Episode 1: 7.5/10 For a one episode short, this was simple and effective. Very entertaining, but certainly not groundbreaking. A good intro for the show. Episode 2: 5/10 This one was OK. It had its moments - like a certain fan-favorite character chasing down the protagonists - but everything outside o…

This was such an exhilarating watch for me as it was the perfect union of two of my favorite things: Star Wars & Anime. The original storytelling and the compelling immersive vision. This put Star Wars through a new lens and I was here for it! The visuals, voice performances, and overall narratives of each episode were such unique stories, it was hard to choose one to be a favorite, but ultimately it came down to two episodes: The Village Bride and The Ninth Jedi. I wrote an entire article about how "The Ninth Jedi" would make the perfect Star Wars Anime. Check it out here: https://www.cbr.com/9th-jedi-star-wars-visions-anime/ I can't wait to see more Star Wars stories being told through the anime medium!

So yeah, this exists. Why, you may ask? Cuz it’s an easy way for Disney to make a cash grab and popularize Star Wars in the anime community. And let me just get started: this anime is awful. First off, gotta explain the concept: 9 episodes, 9 studios making each one of those episodes. Got it? Now this could work, but in the short time each episode has they can only develop so much and the stories do not connect throughout the episodes. The first episode was… not bad. It felt like Vagabond with lightsabers, the art style was fun and the plot was decent with the run time of the episode. Then it all went downhill, with episode 2. The episode was trash, the story was downright awful, the characters were annoying, the art took a major step back. But this wasn’t the worst episode. No, no, no,…

Star Wars Vision has definitely warmed me up to the Star Wars setting as a medium for interesting storytelling. I overall enjoyed this more than I thought I would as I'm generally apathic to Star Wars, feeling that it's been done-to-death and too kiddy (that sentiment is still largely true for the Hollywood movies though). Visions is not 1:1 to the canon mythos. There are a bunch of liberties taken (episode 3 taking the cake of out of the bunch). Visions is in many ways a creative exercise for the various studios involved, where they can bring unqiue ideas to the table that wouldn't necesarilly fly for any mainline productions. Every episode is something new. It's quiet difficult however to containt an entire arc within a 10-20 minute episode, so many of the stories feel sort of rushed…

For the purposes of agility, I'll review each episode separately, since it's from the same world, but entirely different studios for each one. The Duel (Ep. 1) 9/10 The animation style of this one, my god. It's a short watch of a small scale little conflict. Of course, breaking rules of the Jedi universe; but that doesn't really matter. You can look at this little bubble and stare in awe as this small animated project pertains an elegant dogfight between two siths. The combat resembles a fight in the amazing game "Furi" as counters fly, strategies pertain a certain flare of elegance while being dirty. The use of intelligence in an unlikely manner and the samurai themes. It all worked perfectly well, only I didn't care for the characters, sometimes in a short you can't have a goal or an…

This is one of those shows that I was looking forward to when the trailer came but forgot it existed. As an experimental anthology series, the show is pretty ok. With any anthology series, there were a couple episodes that I really liked but the rest were either okay or just bad (I'm looking at you episode 2). It was interesting to see how each episode tried doing their own thing with the universe of Star Wars and attempts to capture the Star Wars spirit. Honestly, each episode can be a hit or miss depending on your preferences. So, I suggest that all episodes should be watched. If it helps, I really enjoyed episode 5-9. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the Studio Trigger episode. I was really expecting to like it. I'm a fan of their works but there was just this one part that br…

I have always loved star wars even with the disappointment of the sequels. When I found out this was made I was really excited because it is a star wars anime. I enjoyed most of this show and found it cool that some parts were drawn for japanese culture. The art was really good in most of the episodes like 1, 3, 4, and 7 where they just worked so well for me. The soundtrack is really good with the battles having captured lightsaber fights perfectly with the sounds. The characters that really stood out to me were F from episode 4 and the dynamics between Tajin and Dan. My favorite episodes had to be 1,3, 4, 5, and 7 which I really enjoyed.

Fun Star Wars content in an experimental anime. It shows off things that newer anime studios can do. Studio Trigger's episodes "The Elder" and "The Twins" had the best action... Geno Studio's "Lop and Ocho" had the best story by far. Quality heavily varies each episode, so it is hard to rate, but an overall good time regardless. I would rather watch this again than the movies. I highly respect Star Wars for trying out new ways to express their stories and hope they do a full-fledged anime soon. This is also a good anime to get new anime watchers interested in the genre.

Star Wars Visions is one of the worst things I've ever watched, and episode 4 was the only half-decent episode in the entire series. I wasted half a day watching this garbage kills me, and I'll never get that time back. Story: The stories of each episode were forgettable. Art: Holy god, was the art horrendous to look at. Sound: The sound was meh. Nothing innovative to the series. Character: The characters were the absolute worst part of the series. Enjoyment: I hated myself while watching this. Overall: I hope Star Wars doesn't do something like this again. Must Avoid.

I think it's a bit my fault that I gave it such a low rating since I had too much hype at the time of the release of this anime series ( this is a review by a otaku and star wars fan ) STORY (6 fair) : well I can't say much about the story of a single chapter since they are all completely different but I must say that the chapters should have been longer since many of them didn't even manage to build a good idea of the story of the chapter or the world in which this was turned ART (10 outsanding) : Well this is disney and it has gigantic amounts of money so if we put that together with Japanese animation studios, a star wars license and an indefinite budget then this is what you have one of the most beautiful animes I have ever seen or well the most beautiful animes that I have seen, t…

Out of 100 Nobles watching… 80 were impressed! 10 would like some more from half the shorts narratives 10 would like the other halves shorts turned into series Star Wars: Visions is a pretty neat project Disney set up. It seems like they reached out to a number of iconic studios like Trigger, Studio I.G., and Saru with the prompt of just “make a Star Wars short”. The series is nine 15-minute shorts telling various stories loosely in the Star Wars universe. I think if there was anything to critique it would be that I just find it funny how many Feudal Japanese Village Planets there seem to be in the Star Wars galaxy. That said, yes, the setting IS essentially for a number of the shorts just an excuse to have a samurai movie setup though as the lightsabers origins lye in kendo I am not part…

Unfortunately, as a whole, Star Wars: Visions was just...fine. And there's a very clear reason for that. What this anime really is is a collaboration between animation studios. Meaning that each 23 minutes episodes were produced and written by different people, and I am very sad to say that MOST of the episodes were just terrible as far as their plotlines goes. In fact a lot of them just boils down to "good Jedi meets evil Sith and they fight", and its all rushed. That is pretty much what most of the studios did, and the only real difference being how they animated their own episodes. BUT then there is two or three episodes of the 9 that are actually pretty well done, and ABSOLUTELY deserved to have their own full length anime series. If you wanna save yourself some time, watch episodes 5…

As a Star Wars fan, I was really motivated to watch Star Wars in anime. In addition, George Lucas drew a lot of inspiration from Japanese culture for Star Wars so the anime could only be good. To be honest I was a little bit disappointed with the anime. Some episodes were really cool to me, but others weren't. But it's generally a pretty good anime. The first episode is one of my favorites. The animation is really special but the fights are really good and the characters believable and the ronin is charismatic. The second episode probably the one I like the least. Mixing Star Wars and rock was quite daring and the result didn't appeal to me at all. I really didn't like the characters and the story. The third episode surprised me and did not please me at first glance but the fight was re…
