Imagine that you are an excited guy, and everytime you see something sexual, you become a horrible monster. Well, that's what "Call Me Tonight", a 1986 OVA, part of the "Pink Noise" series, is about.
While other parts of the series are more focused on action, psychology or horror, Call Me Tonight just wants you to enjoy a short episode about sexual excitement and monsters.
Rumi Natsumi, a high-school girl, works at Madonna, a phone sex line that sends girls to meet their costumers in person. One day, she recieves a call from a guy that tells her that he totally loses control when aroused. So, Rumi, as the manager of Madonna, decides that she's going to help this guy with his problem.
The only thing she doesn't know, is that what that guy meant by "losing control", is that he becomes a cr…

This short OVA summarises all of the low-effort romance movies currently in the world.
Girl meets boy, they fall in love, bunch of random things happen and they live happily ever after, but I have no complains with this one. The animation and art style is decent enough for its time though they could've put a little more effort. The voice acting is kinda choppy and feels as if it was not timed properly. The story is what you find in most romance movies these days but this one is a little bit unique. The characters are fine and all of them helped the story go forward but the OVA could've been a little more longer to explain what is happening to the guy and who are all the characters.
In conclusion, this OVA is worth watching if you have nothing to do and you wanna watch something retro…

Saw a recommendation of this anime on YT, concept sounded funny to me so had to give it a shot.
When I saw only one episode of 30 minutes long I did not expect a polished piece of art and I was right to do so.
I loved the little pieces of animation in between settings liike the short walking animation ladyMC has when she walks to the bar to meet dudeMC and their little scene in the park. Loved the animation in general because I have a weak spot for OVA's from this era.
I was absolutely in love with the music because I have a weak spot for music from this era as well.
The story made absolutely no sense which didn't matter because of the length of this OVA. The villains were hilarious to me and I do not get their reasons for being as they are.
Laughed my ass off, enjoyed watching it, y…

I gave it a high score not because it can be considered an awesome anime in todays taste and standarts but because it is so much fun in its own terms. That is 80s/90s OVAs!
There is not much of a story to follow to be honest. It just plays around the idea that people "change" when they are aroused sexually or otherwise.
What makes it a great anime is its style. If you are a fan of the late 80s early 90s anime, this is a must watch. It has a coherent story, a great style, adequate amount of gore and obscenity, and a catchy phrase to top it all: TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION MADONNA!! whatever that means.

answers the enduring question, "what if devilman was hornier?"
the animation and art were good (monster transformation scenes are a+), the city pop vibes of the opening sequence are impeccable, but this probably wasn't worth watching. it's not quite horror and not quite a romcom and ends up just sitting in a weird place in-between. it does a good job at leaning into a very silly premise, which i commend it for, and it has some cute moments, but i lost interest pretty close to the midway point. a fun novelty ova, but there are probably better things to spend your time on.

The first of many obscure anime OVAs I found on a big Youtube channel... only with Portugese (I think?) subtitles. My fading memory of Spanish, combined with the fact I do actually know Japanese, means that I can pay not-fully-attention to these OVAs if I truly wish.
Call Me Tonight is trashy and ultra fun, this disturbing body horror thing mixed with a teen romcom story, with great music and a great art style. It's a bit on the short side, just thirty minutes, but it makes the most of its extremely wacky premise-- this dude finds out that, if he gets turned on, he turns into a giant Cthulhu monster. The call girl he already hired is okay with that, though. I am a huge fan of this girl for sticking with him through all this. That's the mark of a true pro.
Too bad they had to introduce so…

It has erotic themes, but it's not really an erotic/hentai story.
It has elements of horror, but it's not really scary.
Basically it sort of walks between the two, sort of teasing along the way without falling on either side of the erotic/horror divide.
Cute character designs, and when the boy gets aroused he turns into all sorts of Lovecraftian beasts. In some places, the animation quality does get a little weak, but overall it's on the higher quality side of most eighties OVAs out there. Probably the weakest part of the whole show is the story itself, which pretty ridiculous and had an unsatisfying conclusion.

No spoilers and short review.
Call me tonight is your old cheesy somewhat "B movie" where you don´t even question the plot itself and the character´s choices because you know it is going to not make any sense at all, but it is bad in that lovely hilarious way where you have quite a fun time! :3
And it is only one episode so you aren´t going to invest a lot of time in it.
Recommended for people who love cheesy oldie anime with this b movie feel to it!
So yeah watch this one if you want to watch something for your dirty fantasies without needed to see an hentai, this gives plenty of interesting ideas and scenarios for that XD
I really don´t want to say anymore without spoiling :D Just go watch it :P

Call Me Tonight is an anime for adult public, very basic without innovation, her story is weak and simplistic,is a mixture of fiction with low-level hentai, ie without a defined context. (good hentai have good storys).
In the artistic part of the anime leaves much to be desired, even using old-school traits, a few details and simplistic scenarios too much even for the time.
Part of the soundtrack is good,I liked it, knew well choose the songs for a particular scene.
As for the characters they were very bad, the traits are not well defined, it is not that cute thing we're to seeing.
Obviously we can not expect much of an anime of 1986, but we have better animes that, but not a bad anime, as I said the soundtrack helps a lot to keep watch until of the end, although the story does not help much…

This work is about masturbation.
Do I have your attention? Good. Then, let us discuss Call Me Tonight, a campy satire and parody of hentai works.
This is a simple 30 minute 90s OVA with some nudity, dealing with Freudian themes. Think sexploitation films. The characters are intentionally, for the most part, one-sided characters that do nonsensical things in an absurd setting: Suguira Ryo has problems masturbating and his repressed sexual emotions turn him into a gigantic monster. Basically Dr. Jekyll and Hyde with sex. It is all up to Natsumi Rumi to save everybody, including him, from his perverted thoughts. The work parodies those old hentai flicks you see them on adult websites -- I have, ahem, seen some of them -- and satirizes Freudian sexual repression and the narrow-minded discuss…

So as soon as I saw a clip of this on Youtube and got over my initial "WTF" reaction, I pretty much had to see this OVA. I mean it's about a guy who turns into a giant monster when he gets aroused...how could I refuse? I couldn't, that's how. And neither can you.
This will be one of the weirder things you watch. At only one episode I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. The story was rushed, as to be expected. They probably could have stretched this out to at least 3 episodes. If only for the sake of giving the characters a bit more depth. With the 'villains' of the story, I couldn't for the life of me figure out why they did what they did, or how they imagined it would work out for them. There was just no logic behind it. It's like they just randomly decided, "Hey! Let's be idiotic jerks tod…

Just to avoid any kind of confusion, I would like to state that this anime is an 80’s style mix of Sci-fi and lite hentai themes. But is not in fact a hentai title. It just has similar content, but never reaches the border of one.
Its funny too, when I first saw "Call Me Tonight" on the MAL database, I was expecting some creepy guy to be calling this young women late at night, being a sort of "stalker" title. But no this OVA is far from that!
Story: 3/10
I can promise you one thing, the whole story will either confuse you, or make you laugh at its content. Basically this one girl that works for this phone service company (I believe its one of those places where lonely guys call hot women), receives a call from this guy that seems to turn into a monster when ever he is either masturbating…

Story: The most original thing I have ever seen. I don't know how somebody thought up this plot. The general run-down without spoiling is that there is this guy, and when he thinks of perverted things, gets a boner, or masturbates, he turns into a giant monster. Yes, a giant monster.
Art: Not really that great, but not all that bad for when it was made. The character designs are decent, but what really bowled me over was the monsters. Downright great - the mosters were generally creepy and were drawn great. Gave me the creeps. Also - the backdrop was great and detailed. Had a nice old feel to it.
Sound: Nothing really to say about the sound. The monsters sounded as convincing as they could, but the characters had horrible voice acting. Not that great.
Characters: Uh, nothing to say. The…
