Great art and animation, I myself saw no flaws with it.
It's full of cute, funny and wholesome moments.
Some itty-bitty sad and teary too.
The story isn't hard to follow.
More than anything though, it's a story about the values of family, helping family, for the family.
Although we didn't really get much on Sauvel's wife and daughter which saddens me.
More than family though it's like a feud between nobles and royalty because royalty wants something the nobles have.
I found it alright personally, the balance of cute and funny made it bearable and even though I wished it had something else, it didn't bore me.

Abstract:
Immoral MC, the plot is weak - no good arcs, no good story development, some random BS just to fill up episodes
More details:
Noone should be punished for actions they're not responsible to, it's unjust. If something like curse shown in the series happened to anyone, only moral thing to do is try to help them. What did MC? Of course victim blamed current royal family members who don't even know why they were cursed. Wow! Just wow! My applause... (ㆆ_ㆆ)
The plot conteins some random set of events just to put MC in different not connected situations, forcing a square peg into a round hole. Some arcs are not completed or just blunt and stale...

Could've been better.
Art-wise... I like it! I approve.
On the other hand, the plot is there and it's great! The execution, however, is not.
I enjoyed the story, but I got frustrated and disappointed with how the pacing went. I usually love and appreciate anime where the story covers its loopholes as it progresses; therefore, I was intrigued when I started this anime. However, as it goes on, I feel like some parts of its pacing were too slow. So, I was thinking, "maybe they could've just simplified some parts". Nevertheless, I tried giving it more benefit of the doubt-- thinking it'll get better, and thus, continued watching because of the storyline and its plot. However, the thing that frustrated me the most was the final phase, especially its ending. It was rushed! I just feel sad about…

Forgot how much fatphobia and racism was not so subtly mixed into the character designs + plot.
Stunning, beautiful, powerful, and popular? White, pale, blond, skinny, etc etc etc
The villainous cheating wife in the first arc? fat, large nose, short, etc etc etc
If you can get past that, then maybe this is worth a watch?
It was really disappointing to see that much fatphobia cooked into a story that's supposed to be wholesome. I remember the rest of the story being pretty good after that, but all I can really remember is how they visually portrayed the cheating wife. Villainize cheating? agreed. Villainize being fat, having a large nose, etc? keep that in the past where it belongs.

I'll be honest, the start of the anime is the worst part. If you can get through the first 3-4 episodes, it gets better. However, the pacing and some of the characters are very lacking or just an eyesore, so it really ruins the show quite a bit.
For my part, it was rough to get through the first part of the show with the uncle's wife. It felt like the character was just a caricature made to shock viewer, but it felt exaggerated and flat to me. It was an annoyance and an eyesore. I almost dropped the show and took a few months to come back hoping it got better.
This show is being carried by Ellen mostly, though her family still has a huge part in it, including her parents relationship that can be funny at times. If you like politics and domain building, there's a little here, but it felt…

The animation quality is solid, although the art style itself is a separate discussion. The reincarnator character is especially charming, and her presence adds a lot of appeal to the story.
What stood out to me most is how the narrative feels like a continuation rather than a beginning. It gives the impression that major events—especially involving the hero and the spirit queen—have already taken place. Because of this, it almost feels like an adaptation of a larger story, possibly from a novel, where only the “aftermath” has been shown.
However, not everything works for me. Prince Gadiel, the first prince, is particularly frustrating as a character. His personality and behavior make him difficult to like, and I personally hope he doesn’t become the female lead’s partner or form a contrac…

A Promising Isekai That Falls Short of Its Potential
In the ever-crowded world of isekai anime, Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha arrives with a premise that I found interesting, I liked the manga so had high hopes for the show. It's not just another overpowered protagonist dumped into a fantasy realm, but a story centred around familial bonds, reincarnation with a twist, and the interplay between legendary parents and their determined child. I approached it with cautious optimism, hoping for something that could shine amid the sea of similar tales, and whilst I do not regret investing the time to watch it, it doesn't really manage that. It's decent enough though that if the creators announce another season, I would likely give it a go. I was just hoping for…

I might be the odd one out here, but I truly enjoyed Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator. Even with its many flaws and problems, I still found this anime to be a very fun watch throughout its 12 episode season.
That said, there are definitely a lot of issues, and I can absolutely see some of them stopping people from liking it. I can also see some people going in with the wrong expectations. A lot of the themes this anime focuses on aren’t really made clear in the synopsis, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some viewers felt misled about what this show is actually trying to be.
Let me elaborate (starting with the themes, then the bad and the good).
Theme:
This show is kind of a rollercoaster. At first glance, you might think it’s going to be about fighting evildoers or evil s…

" A very fast paced avg isekai "
This had potential at first but things gone downhill very fast due to fast pacing and a aimless story . They literally added too many tropes without completing them e.g political , romance , fantasy etc tropes . This anime has nothing much too offer except some fairy fantasy cliche .
Some characters are likable but doesn't improve your watching experience overall . Ending is very fast paced and poorly executed , they literally introduced too many characters at end just within 2 min without much explaination . Anime shows some political tension between mc family and royal family , despite of getting harmed again and again by royal family tricks our mc never went to last end by punishing them instead of it mc tried to fix everything after seeing her enemies…

This anime is trash and at very best below average, it started good with father’s MC point of view and story but over the episodes the MC started to take point and her personality shifts very often to her pre-reincarnation and to a child.
Also the story is very shallow and leads to nowhere, after the first three or four episodes everything is resolved by the MC with her powers and modern world knowledge, the MC starts acting like the family boss and her father treated like a goon, tbh the story would have been so much better with Rovel and Origin as the MCs instead of the woman-child that Elen is.

For the most part I liked this series as it 'mostly' did something different within the Isekai genre, I say 'mostly' as we have familiar plot points and character archetypes, but the premise sets it apart and it is able to 'feel' different to the majority of the isekai that are out there.
The twist with the spirits and the spirit world are what allowed this to stand out, I just wish they explored that more and focused on it more than they did as that was the best aspect to all of this.
This anime however should have been titled 'Everyone Loves Ellen-chan' because that is what it is majority of the time, it overplays the card to the point that it is not so much humorous as it is obnoxious, and while I'm glad it would later lead to inevitable consequences, it doesn't make it less annoying.…

This anime failed completely to capture the mood and feel of the source material. So much of the nuance of these characters are gone; in the anime Ellen feels so much more like a typical OP isekai protagonist compared to the source material as the complexities of who and what she is get sanded off to simplify the series. And the rest of the cast are no better off (I'd say Gadiel gets the shortest end of the stick, he's already fairly bland in the novels so the anime's simplification of him is especially disappointing).
The series is also directed in a way that removes all of the tension and emotion from most scenes that do any sort of character building which leads to everyone just feeling bland and their emotions seemingly left out of the wider narrative. Comparing the visuals of this and…

This is the anime equivalent of what a Ubisoft game is. Just a ganerically average to good piece of media.
Don't get me wrong, it is fun! And very cute at points.
BUT, it is only as good to a certain point, after which it seems unable to reach its full potential.
I do believe part of this series is what feels like multiple cut up OVAs where there is no real long term storyline. That's fine, but it doesn't really bring any cohesiveness to the entire story.
There seems to be a dichotomy where the reincarnator is either super strict, or completely childish (which you wouldn't expect from someone who was reaching almost 40). There are a lot of situations where I think the reincarnator takes control, which is awesome, but is also contrasted by the situations where she feels hopeless, which is…

The first paragraph of the synopsis hooked me. I went in expecting something akin to other titles that frequently make use of the protagonist’s expertise, like Dr. Stone, Honzuki no Gekokujou, or Kenja no Mago. Sadly, this wasn’t the case for this one.
The MC’s abilities were barely explored. Despite being a scientist in her previous life and now having the power to manipulate matter and conjure anything from the periodic table, the MC only made coal, diamond, silver, gold, and medicine.
It also felt like it abandoned its hook. The MC’s scientific background was never maximized and the show became focused on medicine. It’s like it wanted to be Isekai Yakkyoku during the last arc.
Quite disappointed that the MC doesn’t apply her previous life’s knowledge as much as she can.

What an aimless series. I liked the political story, it was just so poorly parsed out. The story they were trying to tell could not be done it twelve episodes, and it shows. It starts out interesting, but it was clear early on they don't know what kind of story they were trying to tell. It feels like pick up and drop every piece without completing them.
Did we really need the isekai element in here too? I'm so sick of these elements shoehorned into every series. The purpose it served here was ultimately unnecessary with how they used it. She uses magic for Pete's sake. If she was a normal human tinkering with the actual tools from her trade in the other world, it would be a different story. That's not what happened, though. She just wills things into existence. I could have easily written…

Ellen is definitely one of the most annoying main characters of anime history, with "miss perfect" syndrome.
She has both parents that love her. Her IQ is over 8000. Her skills are unlimited. Everyone loves her, trusts her, and she's basically a God.
Now, for the other supporting characters: everyone fawns over her, and everyone is helpess without her - nevermind that she's literally a little child that talks like a grown adult and knows things that are impossible for a kid to know - everyone just worships her.
As for the villain characters: Their IQ is less than 80. They are impossibly dumb and none of their evil acts has real justification or objective, it's all shallow evil. Not only that, but some of the "villains" like the Royal Family aren't really evil, just wronged by the fact t…

This show has interesting premise and isekai character that is actually using her knowledge to bring good to herself and others. But this show has some problems, most notably how FMC and her father act. But I will get to that later in review.
Animation and music: both are good. Animation is fluent throughout the show and there were no quality drops. Some scenes like wedding light show were great watch. Music is good as well, it gets the job done but nothing more than that.
Overall: animation and music are both industry standard. Not good or bad, but they get the job done.
Characters: Ellen is FMC for this series and an interesting one to that. She is basically reincarnated 30 years old scientist from Japan and she can utilize her scientific knowledge in combination with magic, which mak…

this show is literally "generational guilt" propaganda, and the mc is objectively the villain in the last ep. the "royal family" is cursed for something they did so many generations ago that they dont even have records/memory of what actually happened. and the current king is an ass, sure, but i wouldnt really say a villain, and the kings son is DEFINITELY not a villain in any regard, but is treated as such until the very end, further reinforcing the "generational guilt" propaganda angle of "you can never make up for what your ancestors did". but since its a kids show and we need to have a happy ending they take the "fine i guess we'll help you after all" route, completely ignoring the fact the whole reason anyone needed help is completely the mc's fault. american politics propaganda in my…

Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator — If Isekai reincarnation can establish stories that are individually focused, why not make it family focused?
Isekai reincarnation. It's the double-edged sword of infamy, as seasonal shows are littered with quite a fair few stories out there. Even if you ever tried to see it from a different lens of view, for some reason, you will sometimes still not quite be able to wrap your head around why authors just love to hedge both genres together for stories that sound like they have potential but end up going nowhere. This may be a recurring problem everywhere, but for novelist Matsuura's lone work of Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha, a.k.a. Dad is a Hero, Mom is a Spirit, I'm a Reincarnator, it exposes something…
