Introduction
Shaped by experiences that left him weary of human relationships, Rei Hitoma openly dislikes people. Seeking a quiet, uneventful life, he accepts a teaching position at a secluded school in the mountains, only to discover that his classroom is anything but ordinary. The students under his care are demi-humans who have gathered there with a singular goal: to learn what it means to become human.
Despite his disillusionment, Rei finds himself responsible for explaining human behavior and social norms to mermaids, bunnies, werewolves, and the like. As his students earnestly struggle to understand humanity, their questions and aspirations gradually expose the contradictions in Rei's own beliefs.

If you are a student or a person who is struggling with specific academic or emotional problems during adolescence when important decisions in life begin, I recommend this anime.
Although this story dealt with Demi-Humans, it was able to understand the painful or complicated feelings and situations of the students in the school well and express an accurate and appropriate solution for each of them with the same person!
(As you said = if you are a busy student and cannot make the right decision in your life; this anime is fantastic and will express decisions that are similar to yours and accurately express a suitable solution!)
You may think that this story is giving a little too much importance to the students' teacher and showing the female students' love and affection for him a little…

I randomly decided to watch this show since I recall some few previous titles in the same genre?
This is a MID Anime, it's not good or bad, it's just another title delegated to remain average.
The MC is a decent regular dude whose career lies in teaching. He just randomly got thrown into some sort of false accusations by trying to help a student. Which somehow turned him into a hater of his own race. Weirdly enough, he doesn't do anything like he says, so I feel like this kind of setting is half baked?
So he becomes a teacher of non-human people who want to become humans for various reasons. That's the whole show, and to be blunt, it's not possible to get attached to the series? Sure I get all of the interactions are...normal, like this is still part of the school genre. What doesn't mak…

I will be brief with this one as there is not much to say, which is a really sad thing for anime that had potential like this one.
Animation and music: average at best. Animation is standard and the music is generally fulfilling it's purpose. I did like character designs for demi-humans and intro and outro songs. But other than that this anime is quite average in this category.
Overall - animation and music are getting the job done and that's about it.
Characters: The first issue with the show. Hitoma is the one that get's most spotlight and his development did not progress that much from the 1st episode. He remains as he is, only slightly more happier becasue the work with his students fulfills him. Usami is the second most developed character and I really liked her entire story arc ov…

Not gonna lie.
This had potential to be close to what "Interview with Demi-Chan" was, but it took none of what that show did, and none of what Monster Musume taught us about monster girls in anime.
Characters are mid, plotline is eh. The artstyle was bland. There was no focus on the "Monster" part of the different characters a whole lot either. To be honest, I would rather have the show they did show in the Ending. Unique artstyle, more energy, more character with the characters.
This is such an mediocre show that just does a whole lot that matters not.
There was 1 Episode I would give a 7/10 of, because it had a good moment in it that hit me in the feels, but honestly, It was a bland experience and I WILL NOT recommend this show to anyone.

A very good (demi-)human drama that's sadly (to me) been mixed with sprinkles of harem slop. The first two episodes are the worst in the season, but the following third and fourth are the best, and it doesn't really let up the flow it obtained for most of 13 episodes.
There's some great characterization and arcs for the main characters, but as they end their journey and depart, the ones that take their place fail to deliver the same depth as the first ones. In particular, one character's entire personality is just thirsting for the MC, for no earned reason, and isn't treated with great interest either. There's no depth or romance to it, it starts from the midpoint and never reaches a conclusion. The good characters are treated with great care and have proper depth, but those who didn't g…

Another "not recommended" for this season, even though I like what I watch. Let's just get into the review.
How did I find this?
Masayoshi Ooishi.
He announced that he would be the opening singer for this anime. As a fan of his, I decided to watch the anime he's in.
Appealing (Why did I get into the anime?)
Even after knowing it's Masayoshi, I also get into the anime because of the massive cast of girls. Like I always said, "I'm a simple man. I see a woman, I watch."
Platform It's only available on Crunchyroll.

A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans is a delightful hidden gem. The premise—a cynical teacher named Rei Hitoma stuck with a class of demi-humans eager to learn what it means to be human—starts simple but grows into a charming mix of cozy school life, gentle comedy, and genuine emotional depth.
Rei’s gradual change feels earned, and the students each shine with their unique personalities and backstories. The show balances lighthearted moments with touching explorations of connection, kindness, and personal growth without ever feeling preachy.
Visually, the adorable character designs and solid animation fit the tone perfectly, while the voice acting brings real warmth to the cast.
Special mention goes to Usami, the rabbit demi-human—she stands out as the best character in both cut…
