thought it was just going to be another average story and it has Bad episodes but overall parts of it I really think it does go above and beyond with what you think from such an average story this story has been told a million times but they do it in a very unique and interesting way I really hope that it gets another season but I might end up reading the light novel I normally give anime like this a 7 out of 10 but this one really deserves an eighth a seven means a good and this is really Good definitely watch it if you are looking for something

I really wanted to like this one more, such a fantastic MC. Ray tries his very best to carry this show. Pretty much anytime he’s on screen, the show hits a sweet spot of humor and feels. He’s such a genuine character and pretty much completely developed from the first episode. His writing and VC portray him in such a way I keep wanting to compare him to Clark Kent. The combination of directness, confidence, humility, and compassion is so rare for a Japanese character and really makes him stand out. The show’s charm mostly comes from his interactions with the friends and enemies he makes upon starting magic school. Another thing I really like about the show is the MC steps back and lets other people around him take the spotlight. For example, there is a fighting tournament and he doesn’t ev…

Great potential, but there's no excuse for the wasted time in earlier episodes for that rushed of an ending. If you made a mess in your pants after Game of Throne edged you for years, then let them punch you straight in the balls on the final episode, and can't wait to have that feeling again, by all means start this show.
If my sarcasm wasn't apparent, then I'll plainly say it as well. I was teased into thinking that this show might actually go somewhere.
The first episode felt like the intro to a visual novel game where you're forced to meet all the characters and they have the "first impression" moment where they establish the characters cheaply and you can tell there won't be much if any character development.
The best parts of the show were the opening, the visuals, the magic syste…

I keep it short and simple, as I am sick.
Don`t really understand the hate for the anime. It is mediocre and just a bit bland, but there is not much to make people hate it.
The story and mc are decent (but nothing innovative), but the execution is lacking. Relationships develop fast, so it feels rushed, but somehow the makers still put a bit too many common cliches inside. For a non-harem anime it feels a bit too "haremy", but at least there is some logic behind it.
It is a simple and somewhat entertaining anime that you can watch with your brain turned off.

"Grandiosely generic and fantastically fair" is the one sentence I would use to describe The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu). Its a high-school slice-of-life infused with harem and bits of romcom in front of a fantasy backdrop. Except when the backdrop becomes the main story and turns everything into a menacing fantasy world based on magic-as-science which forces its inhabitants to grow and improve to survive.
The show successfully blends enjoyable parts of different genres together without overdoing it and as such is a very welcome breath of fresh air.
However: die-hard genre purists that are either into fantasy/isekai with constant level-ups and epic boss battles or are of the high-school slice-of-life/romcom type expecting lots of shy em…

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World, it's a really cool anime, it has a really good story, the characters in the series are incredible, especially Amelia, who is my favorite in the anime, who for the love of God is super well written, the protagonist is also well developed, the other characters are less developed than Amelia and Ray, but they are really cool too, the fights, the animation and the visual aesthetics are really beautiful, seriously, this anime is way above average, I didn't give it anything and it gave me everything, especially the opening of the anime is really good, Sizuk did a great job with the lyrics and especially with the choruses of the music, it's an anime that's worth it, and I really like magic/isekai anime, I would really like this one. It's a great anime,…

The opening is a hidden gem and one of my all time favorites. It was unskipable. The anime overall was very enjoyable somehow.
Did not expect him turning into a girl randomly, but it was not bad. (He looked fine as hell).
Maybe its just another isekai trash, but its not the worst. If you enjoy this type of anime its a must watch.
The animation is alright, the plot is somewhat interesting, and the character development is basic, but its not bad.
Hoping for a season 2, but sadly it will never come.
Deserves a good 7/10 for me. May be worse for others.

TL;DR at bottom
I love sloppy little garbage ass isekai's, I love garbage anime in general because they can be so accidently funny. But through all the shit if sifted through this anime is surely something that got wrongly tossed into the gutter.
For an anime a cut above the common isekai/fantasy anime there's truly been a lot of shade thrown at it and a lot people fuming at it for some reason. But having said that, short little review time.
The main difference between this anime and many others like it is its less horny and the story, while not the most revolutionary, is actually pretty well put together. I was truly surprised by the show because of my preconceived notions caused by its mal score which indicated "sloppy little garbage isekai" despite the fact that it definitely was not…

In a world ruled by Sorcery, a concept of Magic that uses logarithmic and precise mental calculations to create powerful spells, there are 7 titled sorcerers that stand above all – The Iceblade Sorcerer being one of them. This series follows Ray White, a commoner boy regarded as ‘ordinary’ who attends a Magic Academy for aristocrat children. Ray’s time at the Academy starts out rough since the aristocrat children treat him unfairly for being a commoner but this doesn’t stop Ray from indulging in the academy’s bustling lifestyle as he joins many clubs and faculties. Will Ray’s new lifestyle in the Magic Academy be peaceful or will his past come back to haunt him?
Story & Character: 5/10

The Iceblade Sorcerer...
is in short, well, a trash action-fantasy anime... It has the same recycled plot with an overpowered MC, magic school academy, Noble-Commoner discrimination BS, and cute girl harem... I mean, I expected this before I watched but I don't mind this repeated plot (I like it)... It will still be fun and can entertain me if it has some good storytelling, execution, and quality...
The story:
I would say it has potential, the magic concept is good, MC's abilities are cool, and the overall characters are interesting... However, these are all good things I can say about it (well, girls are cute too)... The execution and pacing are very bad, it's just too flat and rushed. There is no preamble, connection, peak romance, or climax drama, story events just happen here and the…

After watching, overall 6/10, not good and not bad, just normal.
1.This anime adds a little fan service to certain episodes and especially in the ending, but in my opinion, instead of fan service, it's better to focus on the storyline to make it more interesting.
2.The character who is too excited about her dry comedy is called Caroline Carol, which I think is just ordinary.
3.For the MC's background, it is also absurd that war victims continue to live peacefully and there is absolutely no further information about the results of the war.
4.The MC's voice when he was little and his pseudonym character was Kugimiya Rie and I'm already bored of hearing his voice.
5.It was said that the MC could rule the world but when he fought the last enemy he was overwhelmed.
6.The last episode…

I watched the first episode because I saw it in a TikTok. I watched the other 11 because I wanted to see if anything wasn't a trope in the entire show (everything was a trope XD). The main character was a trope/bland, the harem of girls he had around him were all tropes/bland, the plot was bland, the backstory was bland, but the opener was decent. The animation didn't even deserve to call itself animation, it was more of a slideshow than anything else. This show is a shaky 2/10 (1/10 if the intro wasn't so good) don't watch unless you want to enjoy a show for its blandness.

“The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World” is what happens when You have a bunch of cliche ideas and stitch them together with duct tape made of banality.
We follow the escapades of one Ray White - a war orphan trained to become the most powerful sorcerer in the world. During battle he lost control of his powers and was injured. As part of his recuperation he enrols in a school for sorcerers. Basically the same shit You can see in all modern school fantasy animes. He makes friends. Tells them about his past like an idiot. They don’t care about it… like morons. He even gets a harem without a really good reason. All the not-bitchy girls at school seem to just flock to him.
He lacks anything that could be mistaken for personality (another curse of modern anime) and is just polite, nice a…

Alright let me just say this outright
This anime got me into working out just by watching it
I know how that sounds but holy hell idk what happened
Should I say it's actually a good anime? Nope. Can I say it made my life better? Yep.
Ignore all harem stuff as MC does and you can actually enjoy it.
Actual plot is decent, fantasy stuff is beliavable-ish, villians are dorks, harm stuff is annoying as always, pacing is fine, mandatory beach episode is present.
Overall I can recommend watching it but it does require some mental strength to pull through first episode.

Actual garbage.
There's not one thing I found done well in this battle-harem-fantasy-piece-of-ass.
The story didn't flow smoothly forward. It took unnecessary detours and there were too many sub-plots that didn't need to be there. I don't who the writers were writing for, because the dialogue between the characters made no sense. The MC says something vaguely coherent and smart (as if) and the other characters act like he's the wisest person alive.
The characters were annoying as hell. Everyone of them. The MC akwardly flatters everyone and they get swayd by him like they haven't heard a compliment in their lives. The MC is the most vanilla guy you could ask for.
The animation quality worsened to the end, and it wasn't even that great to begin with. At times it looked like a diasho…

The anime adaptation was a huge disappointment. I don't understand for what reason they changed the story, characters, and art style in the adaptation. They might as well call it a separate anime. And if you for a split second thought that they improved the bad sides of the manga, making it easier to follow or making female characters more deeply written, you are wrong. They have made from a decently written story with a fair amount of cliche moments another "op mc" mess.
The story became more cliche and predictable, with every scene spelt out to an embarrassing amount, and the same setup feeling completely different in the worst way possible. The art style was also one of the most disappointing aspects, with the heroes' designs completely changed and the animation feeling stiff and the a…

Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu (2023)
Kenja no Mago in 2019 is basically this show. The story is about the usual guy who seems like he is a normal guy but suddenly is so unbelievably overpowered that he even wins other people that hate him through the power of friendship.
The show is a very linear school show with bad people that want to attack it. Adults have an actual role here which is great since it is usually kids fighting the wars in shows like this solely.
The art for me is pathetic, it is not clean and lacks detail. Even in top-quality resolution, it feels like base-level animation. You get better quality for fan-made stuff. It feels and looks clunky and whilst it does improve as the show gets on it doesn't excuse how it started.
The sound is bog standard.
The cha…

You can really feel the quality and let me tell you I wish you couldn't, because at least then I wouldn't have been in constant pain the entire time. Animation almost always looked bad except sometimes in the last episode. Voice acting was annoying, music was average, although sort of hard to tell given the wack mixing. Battle theme(s) was good though. Story, borderline nonexistent. Characters were walking cliches, couple maybe kinda had some depth, maybe? At least it wasn't an iskeai where the plot doesn't really talk about it except at the beginning. Other than that, real seasonal isekai kind of feel. 4.4/10
