The second season of Ajin, or Ajin Part 2, falls short of the expectations set by its predecessor. While the animation and visuals remain polarizing, there are instances where they seem to have regressed in quality. Though bursts of fast-paced action from the first season are present in some episodes, the overall pacing of the season is notably slower. While certain episodes delve into character development, exploring their backgrounds and motivations, the series is weighed down by the introduction of several story-lines that fail to advance the plot, resulting in a bloated and unevenly paced narrative. Moreover, the conclusion feels underwhelming, appearing rushed and lacking in coherence, especially considering the buildup throughout the season. Ajin Part 2 ultimately falls short of surp…

REVIEW (for the 2 seasons): An anime with a very interesting proposal and story and a captivating villain.
What gets in the way a little is the 3D animation, which was still emerging as a new animation technique, causing some initial strangeness, but there is fluidity in the movement.
The characters and the story develop well, with development in the characters and deepening in the antagonists. Dealing with more serious matters, with a good Seinen. The action happens in a good measure, in a well-choreographed way and with several heavy scenes.

REVIEW (para as 2 temporadas): Um anime com uma premissa e uma história muito interessantes e com um vilão cativante.
O que atrapalha um pouco é a animação em 3D, que ainda estava surgindo como uma tecnica nova de animação, causando uma…

For an anime that started so strong in its first season, the second season really is a letdown.
In season 1, the Ajin had a bit of mystery, and even the characters were somewhat mysterious. You were given the time and scenes to figure them out. What are their reasons for doing what they do? What are their ideas, philosophies? And with this supernatural phenomena of immortality and the ability to call upon a very potent companion, how should it be treated? None of this is further expanded upon the second season.
The CGI animation is still pretty good, for CGI, but the emotional performances are carried by the voice actors rather than by the visuals. The style and color palette are also quite basic, but with CGI I get that they went on this route. It is packed with action though, and the a…

I'm fine with 3D CGI, but getting used to it is hard. Despite the impressive action sequences and special effects, the close-up facial animations and emotional performances leave much to be desired. It's a shame to see such an engrossing story suffer from such lackluster animation. While the voice actors do a commendable job of carrying the emotional weight, it's still a reminder that more progress needs to be made in this area. Overall, I'm left with the same feeling I had all this time that there's still much work to be done in the realm of 3D CGI animation for anime.
Nonetheless, Ajin's story is undeniably impressive. The characters are captivating and brilliantly written, the action is exhilarating, and the plot is well-paced. The twists and turns come thick and fast but never too rap…

This review is for Part 2 of the anime, Ajin: Demi-Human.
Summary:
Ajin: Demi-Human is an anime based on Gaimon Sakurai’s manga of the same name. This review is for Part 2 of the series, which strays completely from the source material and is far inferior to the original contentl. Ajin: Demi-Human takes place in modern society, except some people have the power to regenerate after they die. The story is intense and posits many questions about persecution and social challenges. Overall, the anime is an excellent sci-fi story. This story is definitely dark, so it may not be suitable for younger anime fans or anyone looking to try anime for the first time.
Story: 4/10
The plot of the story is unique and intriguing: It takes elements of sci-fi and modern society to illustrate a…

I finally watched this anime and it was a whirlwind. I wish I'd watched it sooner and I would recommend it to others.
Housekeeping: I rated season 1 as a 9 and season 2 as an 8. Season 1 had far better soundtrack and both seasons have pretty terrible animation. Personally, I suffered through the animation for the pretty awesome story.
I do appreciate that season 1 felt so... complete. Season 2 I was hoping for us to finally see Sato captured and subdued for at least a little while. At the end of season 2 I found myself really annoyed with his character.

Second season of Ajin is an expected improvement. I say expected because first season was almost completely just character building and preparation for the second one, so this one should naturally be better as things will start happening here. Animation is still weird, but passable, story is still trying too hard and characters are constantly bordering over being interesting and being too much. Our main character finally gets some redeemable qualities, but it's too late. Basically, whole running time of season two you are looking forward to it's finale which promises a cool confrontation between Sato and our protagonists and it's a long way to it. But, when it finally arrives, it's over pretty quickly, it's not all that spectacular and the series ends with a cliffhanger. Season does have i…

You should just read the manga to continue the story honestly. The anime adaptation is good and all, but the story and choices in the anime is wonky. The ending was quite rushed and it feels like the characters were watered down. You should just read the manga to continue the story honestly. The manga will feel a lot more grounded and expands on the characters a bit more. Especially on one of the characters the anime felt was leading up to something, or to just do nothing with it. The anime was made before the manga chapters were made though, so you get pretty much 2 stories.

Quick Impression:
A season well loaded with action, despite having a mostly original script (filler), still carried tension and action in the right measure. Satou remains a great villain of the kind who just wants to see chaos (to his own fun) happen. Seems kinda a Christopher Nolan joker from the anime genera. The plot did not go far from the basics, but supporting a good narrative.
The good:
- It manages to maintain interest in the narrative built last season. -well developed in terms of script (despite being mostly filler).
-3D animation doesn't bother so much.
- Good sound design and soundtrack.
The bad:
- Static Ajin phatom fights
- slow pace
- gives the impression that the end is the middle of a season. (again, but this time a good cliff hanger tho)…

My only complaints as of far, are the art style which I rated high contrary to my actual feelings because I think what they were going for was an anime that was 3d at the same frame rate as a 2d anime, and the mystery surrounding sato, regardless of what branch and background. Im only on episode 10 of season 2 but I can say that I believe that sato, even with his name that has irish origins, would've been an American , based of the trend of the show. and judging by fighting style and composure, he must have been an Air Force Paratrooper. I was originally thinking navy seal until I remembered that he kept a crew member based off their familiarity with fire arms. a seal wouldn't have need that, however a paratrooper is the only AFSC that would've had less weapon familiarity and more hand to…

An Anime where the greatest strengths are found in the action component and in the charismatic Satou-Kun: with regard to the action scenes, although not accompanied by a dynamic direction, they are still pleasant to look at and presenting in some cases interesting plot twists. I consider Satou-kun's character an exceptional villain: cynical, crazy, unpredictable and nihilistic. Apart from him, the writing of the rest of the characters is quite disappointing (especially the protagonist who changes his mind too quickly resulting excessively inconsistent). Another negative point is found in the animation in CGI, which outside of the action scenes is annoying, unlike the soundtrack that is always spot on.

So, I think the second season was just as good as the first, when it comes to the characters that is, and the amount of gore that this anime has made it all the well enjoyable for me, at least that is what I think, as for the art, I really don't like the cel-shading art style in anime, at first I will not lie, especially when it comes to anime, the art style actually made me not want to even watch the anime, but after the very first episode I actually got really into it despite the way it looked, I guess you really cannot judge a book by it's cover. The gore, action, and characters personality traits more then made up for the art style that was chosen for this particular anime.

I reviewed the first series of Ajin two years ago. It was okay but suffered from being under-developed in general and from having artwork that was bad enough to be detrimental. So, when we left off our antagonist, Satou, had gathered a group of Ajin in order to perform acts of terrorism under the guise of trying to win rights for their people. And our protagonist, Kei, had narrowly escaped capture along with another Ajin.
Story:
We open with a brief recap of what happened in the last series. You know, in case someone decides to watch the second series without having seen the first. Satou unveils his intention to assassinate a list of people who he accuses of being involved with experiments performed on Ajin. Meanwhile, Kei comes to the conclusion that he can't beat Satou on his own and d…

While this is just for Ajin s2, my opinions of Ajin overall apply here.
From the beginning, I was intrigued by it right away. The entire idea of it was very interesting to me. All the characters were likable for me (well, maybe except for Sato; the guy frustrated me to no end! Though I'm sure that's what he was supposed to do) and I was interested in what would happen to all of them. Kei, Kai, and Kou were the ones that interested me the most.
I was one of the people who wasn't turned off by the CGI Ajin provided. That said, I still rated the art an 8. It was good, but it wasn't anything that was especially fancy. I just believe that the CGI is definitely not a reason to dislike this anime especially with the story it provides.
The story is loosely about civil rights, war, and terrorism…

This second season was, like its predecessor, a mixed bag. We're still left with sub-par artwork and iffy characterization, but with that comes a (somewhat) competently-executed story and solid soundwork. Read on to see the Deets!
[Story - 7]
This continues from the last season - Sato's antics to get the government to pay attention to Ajin ramp up in scale, and Tosaki + co. find themselves working alongside Kei to stop him. I was genuinely surprised and pleased, as I thought it would be a three-sided battle - but seeing how the government can co-operate with the more 'pacifistic' type of Ajin was truly great.
While there weren't many genuinely shocking twists and turns, there was a lot of good suspense and personal drama mixed in. I'll cover this more below, but some characters actuall…

Well, guys, here's another review:
Story 10/10:
In my point of view, the history of this season is much better than before, since now we have a bigger dispute between the main character and Satou. The way they both think was more valued this season. In addition, characters like Tozaki had more participation than before.
Art 8/10
It is quite strange to classify the art of this anime, as it is quite different from the standard. However, as in the previous topic, the animation of this season is much more "smooth." Although the art is different, it has been well crafted, but, at least for me, it is still a little strange.
Sound 8/10
My God, I loved the sound of opening and ending, they were very well done, but the 2nd opening (still in the same season, of course) is very bad, they should…

Hmm....I'll just keep it short. Ajin Season 1 was one of my favorite shows with almost no logic holes. Everything felt real, realistic, gritty and most importantly made sense most of the time.
Season 2 was a huge letdown. A total change of mood. There were logic holes everywhere. It got worse as the show went on. There were only THREE major events/operations in the whole season. The government barely got any spotlight, and whenever they did, they failed most of the time. Plot conveniences everywhere.
Pacing, content and directing was horrible. I needed to watch it at double the speed..
Shounen Hero glorification left and right. It's mostly about Nagai Kei becoming a "SUPERHERO". If it's not glorifying Nagai, they were glorifying Satou, if not Satou, it's the Tosaki, if not him, it's the…

i watched the entire season the day it came out. meaning, i dedicated an entire day watching this season - that's how much anticipation i had built up for this season.
and it was worth it; for the most part, at least.
after i watched this season, i began reading the manga. and though i knew this season went in a completely different direction of the manga, i still found it enjoyable. not as good as the first season, but still enjoyable.
it still has those moments (there's no shortage- trust me) where you question kei's choices, so i'm glad they kept the same vibe.
i'm not giving this a higher score because one: it doesn't follow the manga *at all,* which at this point i really wish it had, because it would have just made more sense instead of adding a bunch of filler. and two: not lea…

I loved first season of ajin. However, second season for some reason didn't really "click" for me.
Basically, I pretty much finished the first season in one sitting, and it was an amazing non-stop adrenaline-fueled chase. 2nd season in comparison lookked much more bland, and something was amiss in it, even though the components of the story should've been here.
Detailed breakdown below:
Story. The season is pretty much an attempt to wrap up events of the 1st season involving the main antagonist. It is a continuous string of events, with no breaks, however, in comparison to the first season pacing feels really slow and the story lacks the same kind of punch. Most of the time things just kinda keep going in certain direction, story advances, but it rarely strongly surprises you.
Art:
