Generic Otome Isekai slop? Sign me up! There is a simple twist, that this plot is split and focuses more heavily on the perspective of the prince being targeted and the shared relationship between the villainess and target, instead of being solely from the perspective of the villainess. Aside from this, the story gives both characters equal weight and operates mostly like any other of these plot lines, where the story slowly unravels away from what the original game had as its optional endings.
There are two interesting twists, and one of them seems to go unrecognized by the characters for quite some time. It becomes clear early on, and there's even an explicit recognition of this aloud with the way two of the characters use a unique dialogue to speak about the situation of the story uniq…

I am not familiar with the otome subgenre of isekai-esque stories. However, I absolutely loved this series. It was well paced, knew when to end and utilized its tropes well. The premise is essentially "Savant gifted child with no interests meets a lovable ball of easily flustered extroverted sweetness and decides to become a wife guy." The Isekai elements are relatively light, while still driving the plot forward. It was an excellent decision to make the point of view character the male lead that is native to this world. Despite having been born there, the Prince is somehow more alienated by the world than the girl who was reincarnated into a visual novel she loved dearly. A lovely, lighthearted Romcom adventure with good character moments, more than suitable drama and a satisfying ending.

A female villainess otome anime story with a twist in it: the story is told from the POV of the male character of interest, which is not the one reincarnated, but the FMC is.
The story is beautiful and will surely make you smile like crazy and laugh at times, especially with that twist, as the FMC is a free spirited person that does whatever she wants, first thing being confessing that she's the villainess to the MC directly, which is quite the bold move ngl. The MC is the perfect prince type that can do whatever he puts his mind to, actually mastering everything that he tries instantly, but this also is quite a problem as he became uninterested in most things in the world, so following him throughout the story feels unique, especially because he needs to deal with the antics of the FMC t…

Unlike most otome game anime, where the heroine is annoyingly stupid, what I find special about this one is, first of all, that when Tia realized she had reincarnated, she immediately told everyone about it. Cecil understood it and actually found it amusing.
Also, in this type of anime, there’s always some cheap drama caused by the original heroine, who is often reincarnated as well and treats the protagonist as the villain, even when our heroine isn’t following the original storyline. But in this anime, those situations were always handled smoothly, and the characters dealt with them in a mature and reasonable way.
And the best thing for me is that it actually ended with the two leads getting married in the end. It was genuinely good.

It is a good isekai, otome anime. I love the female lead (FML) and male lead (ML) characters because they both form the backbone of the story. The female lead is a tsundere, but she is very kawaii, so I love her just the way she is. I never felt she was annoying or taken to extremes. The male lead is a true protagonist because we see his thoughts in every scene, and he gets real character development.
The story was complete; it never felt rushed, nor did it feel like it had filler episodes. The supporting characters are decent and get a little development, but I felt the game's original heroine was flat (she is not the main female lead). She is supposed to be an antagonist, but I never felt she posed a real threat.
The music is good and sets the right mood, but the most impressive aspect…

Incredibly solid show of its kind, WONDERFUL artstyle that is just so sparkly and vibrant, writing this review especially to note how pretty the dresses, the designs of all the characters are. Obviously anime-fied but very detailed dress that gets much closer to historical accuracy than many other shows. Love the corkscrew curls!!! At the start the comedy and story really pulled me in, in the end it let some of that momentum go.. but it was a very wonderful watch. I apprechiated that it didnt leave any ends untied.
Due to the main characters sweetness you almost don't notice but the prince is genuinely kind of creepy and supposed to be (!) like that, they did that really well. I also liked that she doesn't get pretty and awesome after losing weight, but he sees her for her personality fro…

A good show! Cute and simple romance. The show follows similar tropes to others in the genre. Faster paced, not deep, and inoffensive. A good shut-your-brain off fluff kind of show.
-- In Depth --
The story was very stock, with the main hook of the show that it is viewed from the romantic interest's POV. It follows standard tropes for the "reincarnated into an otome game" type story, and it handles them well. The story is rather shallow, but not in a bad way. There are no hooks left hanging, or any terrible cliffhangers.
The characters were decently cute, and the art style is nice. Don't expect any flashy animations! The characters wear the same outfits for a majority of the story.
This is a good turn-your-brain-off kind of show. It is a cute, fluffy story that doesn't overstay its welcom…

As far as princess/villainess isekais go, this is a weird one.
What I liked about it:
- the main character is actually the prince, Cecil, and the story is basically told from his perspective; he also has quite an interesting albeit problematic personality, particularly for this genre
- the way they exploit the game isekai angle could have potentially been interesting if better executed
- the first five or so episodes in which they are still kids are absolutely adorable (then it goes downhill)
- I liked the end credit song
What I disliked about it:
- it started out well, but then the pacing became erratic; it felt like they were alternating between long fillers (basically trivial scenes) and then actually advancing the story in a rushed way, and some episodes were epically boring
- the fe…

This is another villain, where now for a change we have a view from the prince's side, how he enjoys his future future about being a villain from the game.
At first it was fun to watch how FMC tries at all costs to be the right villain from the game, which the prince really likes and thus finds meaning in life, but after a while it stops being so fun, especially when you realize that like every villain, the plot from the game is irrelevant as soon as she has any possibility and freedom to change it and is not limited by dialogue options, or predetermined plot twists, or secondary characters do not behave like NPCs and do not have predetermined dialogues.
Her later constant insistence that the prince choose the other one from the game so that he can be happy will later become unbearably a…

A weird show. Not particularly unique but well crafted. What really helps is that we follow the prince here, which actually livens up the traditional Villainess formula. I don't think this will convert anyone to the genre but it is definitely one to watch for fans of similar shows.
Bertia is a fun character and the observation log spin really helps make her actions seem fun and interesting rather than maddening. Unlike a lot of these villainesses she's clearly flawed, she has a bizarre idea of why things should go the way they should go but it makes you want to root for everyone all the more. It's a bit clever and has an excellent mix of comedy and drama.
On the whole I commend this show. The art isn't the best but it serves the story. I will say I had to go to the sub over the dub.

At first, its just coincidence i watched this, not expected too much, but in the end after watched it, it leaves quite empy feelings like some good anime back then. Feelin sad and empy but utmost of it of course happy for their story. Its quite a while since i feel that, but overall this is rare good story.
The conflict was light, but excecuted well. OP and ED match the vibe of this series. The art style was decent but quite good. The caracter that at first i thought was same like other similiar plot, but somehow quite fresh. Somehow with the heroine character and how she handle situation i'm can't hate it, just find it somehow funny and interesting.

Best romance anime since Ore Monogatari. There was a really beautiful sentiment in the anime that when you are negative to yourself and don't believe in your own kindness and goodness, it doesn't just hurt you, but it also hurts the people who love and care about you. You owe it to yourself to love yourself and be kind to yourself. Only then can you fully embrace and love your sweetheart and help others around you grow. Every female needs to watch this, you won't regret <3
This is not like the other otome game anime or light novels where the "villainess" is just perfect and everyone loves her no matter what she does. Bertia is emotional, energetic, and makes mistakes and doesn't have perfect judgement. She just like us frfr.
This is also different from those anime in that, the main char…

This is a nice twist on the usual villainess story. It's form the princes point of view instead of the villainess, which is just one of the ways this one shakes up the formula.
If you've watched any of these types of shows before, it still follows a lot of the tropes, and maybe assumes you are familiar with them. It does make it interesting enough to enjoy regardless though. There are some fun characters, especially the main ones. I'd say the plot can drag at some points, and a few plot points seem a bit convoluted/strange, but overly it's a nice story.
A big win for this show is it actually has a complete story, so no cliffhangers here. That bumped it up enough to be a recommend for me.

Started off as a simple reincarnated villainess story with a twist - - the FL is actually striving to be the best villainess!
The first few episodes were simply enjoyable if you turn your brain off. Just a funny rom com with a very energetic female lead and a genius male lead who is calculating and not in touch with his feelings... There's friendships and there's the heroine turned villain. It was all predictable and I didn't think too much or question why the male lead was a genius and how he managed to solve problems as a little kid. Just figured it was anime logic.
This anime went from a 7/10 to an 8/10 when they shed more light as to the reason why Cecil *had* to end up with the heroine and I was pleasantly surprised with how they explained Cecil being a genius (not anime logic) and…

An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess
A villainess isekai where the whole point isn't escaping the role, it's nailing it, told entirely from the fiancé's side of the engagement.
Every villainess reincarnation story runs on the same engine: some noblewoman wakes up in her favorite otome game, realizes she is cast as the antagonist, and spends twelve episodes frantically dodging every death flag and bad end the plot has waiting for her. An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess, adapted by Ashi Productions from Shiki and Wan Hachipisu's light novel, looks at that whole premise and does something genuinely rare with it. Bertia doesn't want out. She knows exactly which game she's living in, she knows exactly how doomed her engagement to Crown P…

I am positively impressed with this anime, i came in expecting slop and it ended up being quite fun!
The female lead is incredibly stupid, but not in a disney way, instead, she feels a lot more real and emotional, she makes mistakes that actually fuck with the male lead quite a lot, given, everything does end up going her way, but that just comes with the territory that 12 episode 1 season shows provide.
While the show did not break any new ground with any plot thread, I believe that they more than made up for it with overall pacing and the overarching story being told, never did it feel like the show was trying to be something it wasn't with a plot too big for its own good.
The art is also cute enough, I could say it is a bit lacking on character diversity, most girls look the same, an…

A villainess anime that isn’t centered all around the “villainess”, I’m here for this!
If you are looking for a typical villainess isekai anime, you’re at the right place, but better written and better done. We basically follow Prince Cecil, a genius bored protagonist that meets Berthia, her fiancée to become wife when they become adults. The twist is this is all originally an otome game and Berthia came from the real world. She wants to be the best villainess but is trash at it and blablabla you know the drill.
The aspect I enjoyed the most about the anime is Prince Cecil himself. As a character, he is very composed and not at all perturbed by Berthia’s weird announcements of the “future” as she knows what is supposed to happen next since it’s an otome game. It’s actually nice how Princ…

this anime is for those who want a wholesome villainess show with no drama and simple yet nice story which you can watch without putting too much thought behind it . this anime is basically a villainess story with a few changes, 1st this is from the guy's (mc) point of view , 2nd the villainess(female mc) is not dumb but she is definetly not smart and is very naive .
the story does use many of the usual villainess troupes but it uses them well and the guy's pov does add a meaningful dimension to it ,
I am dissapointed that by the end they left a plot point loose but it was a minor one so it is not that big of a deal .

I absolutely adored this anime, to the extent that this is by far my favorite villainess anime I’ve watched. It just had so much heart and emotion within it that I can’t help but love it.
Story and Characters
The premise is decently standard, the female lead isekais as the villainess, badabing badabom. However, when this anime starts to deviate from what’s typical is when we see that it’s actually from the male lead’s perspective. This leads to us seeing more development and emotion in him than most villainess anime have ever shown for either of their characters. Cecil is a character who, at the beginning is rather emotionless and only sees Bertia as entertainment. However, through her loving heart, he’s able to find his own and come to love her. He goes from just finding her entertainin…

Who knew an inversion of the otome genre could be so heartwarming?
This show is like catnip. Anyone who's ever had a love interest that's neurotic and exciting, bringing light to a boring, empty world will love this series. Bertia is so wonderful that there's an entire fan club for her in the show. Cecil is saved from psychopathic boredom and destruction by her dedication to him and to her "scenario", which he sacrifices everything to change. They truly save each other, and it's hard to imagine a world closer to Heaven than to be in their shoes. Of course, there's the typical otome tropes; the male interests follow the standard formula (meathead, super-effeminate, giga-nerd, consigliere), but they all have mini-arcs with girls that love them for who they are. The art style, the direction,…
