Attack on Titan Season 3

Attack on Titan Season 3

Introduction

Still threatened by the "Titans" that rob them of their freedom, mankind remains caged inside the two remaining walls. Efforts to eradicate these monsters continue; however, threats arise not only from the Titans beyond the walls, but from the humans within them as well. After being rescued from the Colossal and Armored Titans, Eren Yaeger devotes himself to improving his Titan form. Krista Lenz struggles to accept the loss of her friend, Captain Levi chooses Eren and his friends to form his new personal squad, and Commander Erwin Smith recovers from his injuries. All seems well for the soldiers, until the government suddenly demands custody of Eren and Krista. The Survey Corps' recent successes have drawn attention, and a familiar face from Levi's past is sent to collect the wanted soldiers. Sought after by the government, Levi and his new squad must evade their adversaries in hopes of keeping Eren and Krista safe. Eren and his fellow soldiers are not only fighting for their survival against the terrifying Titans, but also against the terror of a far more conniving foe: their fellow humans. I didn’t expect *Attack on Titan* to suddenly become a political thriller, but somehow it worked really well for me. This part moves away from the usual Titan battles and focuses more on the government, the Scouts and the secrets surrounding the walls. At first, I wasn’t sure about the change, but the mystery slowly pulled me in. The story feels more complicated here, but it also gives the world much more depth. I especially liked seeing Levi, Historia and Erwin get more focus. The characters aren't perfect, and their choices are often shaped by fear, pressure and their past experiences. Even Eren and Mikasa feel more vulnerable than before. The animation and action are still great, but I actually enjoyed the tense conversations and mystery just as much. The whole season feels like it's…

If you've made it this far & seen my reviews for AOT, prepared to feel my rage of season 3! lol (IMO!!!) - This is by far the absolute WORST season ever! of the entire series! Season 3 PMO, so badly, I started to drift off because I wanted to check out. ATP I could honestly care less, these charcters DRAINED ME, & their decisions further pushed me to eye roll at what they were talking about! (Except for LEVI and Hange) I personally could not wait couldn't wait for season 3 to END, it really irked my soul that season 2 did all that work just for season 3 to crumble and shatter as hard as it does! I have never regretted watching an anime, especially RE-WATCHING. I am going through the emotions all over again. I also have never hated an anime and was concluded, "This was not a good. watch."…

Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 1 features the Royal government arc, a nice break from the titan-slayer carnage. The season mostly focuses on human vs humans. It shows the dark side of the government, which reflects the greed of the ones in power. Kenny Ackerman is one of the most badass characters in the show, and the intro, Red Swan, is good as it reflects the more calming nature of the season. The animation was incredible, with the Levi and Kenny squad chase scene being some of the best animation I’ve seen. Historia also has massive character development, and her story changes the entire trajectory of the show. It also shows us the backstories of fan favourites like Erwin and Levi, and is overall on of the best seasons.

So the best way I could describe this season would be like this: 40% Human vs Human Political Conspiracy 16% Convoluted story about some royal bloodline and magic titan powers 16% Cool Titan battle (highlight of the season) 12% Boring backstory about some cowboy filler character, and some Naruto ahh narrative about how the Uchiha clan were persecuted. 16% Hype ending and proper sendoff I'll try to keep things as vague as possible so as to avoid spoiling anything. But personally, I think the whole bloodline narrative completely changed the way I view Attack on Titan. This show is supposed to be about this power-struggle between humanity and an overwhelming force. The whole appeal about the first two seasons is that humanity is at a disadvantage, and Eren's titan powers is the only hope t…

(Spoiler Free) Attack On Titan Season 3 Part 1 was the first time an anime genuinely moved me. It consists of 12 incredible episodes that you can't help but binge watch. Though the opening few episodes may not be for all, as they veer from the main directive of the story, they still pack a punch with impressive animation, tense action, and interesting conflicts between the characters -as well as the addition of new characters which succeed in driving the plot to a higher state, building the world and expoditing lore. This season is the reason AOT began to be recognised as one of the greatest anime in history. This season particularally has impeccable storytelling as it utilises the culmination of the previous two seasons to finally exhibit notable worldbuilding and leaves us in awe at the…

This is honestly one of the most emotionally overwhelming anime I’ve ever watched. From the very beginning, it hits you with this heavy, powerful atmosphere that never really lets go. I was probably the most emotional watching this compared to anything else. Every twist, every loss, every reveal felt like a punch straight to the heart. There were moments where I just had to pause because the emotions were too much, yet I still couldn’t stop watching. What makes it so incredible is how perfectly everything fits together: the storytelling, the world‑building, the characters, the music, the tension. It’s dark, intense, and heartbreaking, but also unbelievably captivating. Even when it hurt, I loved every second of it. For me, Attack on Titan is a true masterpiece. The kind of series that stay…

By the time I reached the last episodes of Season 2, I had this weird gut feeling that Season 3 would stop swinging swords for a bit and instead poke at something deeper. You know that feeling when you sense the air is about to change even before the storm hits? That was me. And wow, Season 3 Part 1 proved me right in a way I wasn’t fully prepared for. If you’ve watched Season 1 and Season 2, you kind of get used to this rhythm where every other episode throws you into a chaotic battlefield. Titans charging, humans screaming, blades flying. But Season 3 Part 1 takes a sharp turn and says, “Hold on, let’s talk about the real monsters.” And suddenly the walls start feeling smaller, colder, and way more suffocating than any Titan ever did. These 12 episodes don’t rely on flashy action at al…

The 3rd season of Attack on Titan focuses mainly on the history and the lore behind the Titans' origins and motives. The lead characters can finally breathe and show their personalities and skills. The art style remains on point and is as mesmerizing to see. Levi is probably one of my favorite characters of the series, and his whole arc is picking up on a beautiful pace. The only issue with this season is that the antagonists frequently "get away" from the battle, making it easy to predict. But overall, a pretty solid and entertaining season to watch, and I can't wait to witness everything coming together in the final chapter of the series.

The season has three arcs, each with vastly different levels of quality. The first arc is, honestly, quite good by the series' standards. It follows a plotline that, for once, develops more or less naturally on its own. Most characters behave logically based on what they know, and their actions show a basic level of human competence. It’s still fairly predictable, which cheapens the impact of character deaths—you can see them coming from a mile away. (As soon as a new character was introduced in Episode 1, I jokingly asked out loud, 'How are you going to die this episode?'—and sure enough, I got my answer by the end of that episode.) While there are some interactions driven by plot convenience, they don't pull the audience out of the experience. The main character remains a rare positive…

Watching AOT for the first time in middle school was an experience, it changed a lot of how I saw anime and would put choices on top 10 lists. I always rewatch it every December to remember how good it really it because there's always details that get skimmed over and forgotten about. Love how well it was made and have enjoyed it since 2017. I recommend this to literally anyone who wants to start watching more or is interested in watching anime. It's a good first anime or even if it's not your first it'll definitely make you remember it.

Alright to be honest this might be my least favorite part of season 3 or attack on titan period. I will say all the information was necessary, but this season was content heavy and if your not an experienced anime goer like me you could get lost in the sauce. Not much to be said here though if you made it this far you might as well go all the way. I feel like its because im not really a fan of Historias role. Especially going into the later seasons I feel like they poured so much into historia just for her not to really be relevant in the next few seasons.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3 Part 1 continues to showcase the series' signature blend of fast-paced action and intriguing characters, yet it grapples with some noticeable drawbacks. The first part of the third season of Shingeki no Kyojin delivers the same fast-paced action and compelling characters the series is known for. The animation continues to improve, with action scenes featuring greater clarity and motion. The series maintains its strong focus on character development, delving deeper into how characters respond to the evolving story-lines around them. The overarching mystery remains central, introducing new plot points that challenge the characters. However, the season is not without flaws. While the overall pacing is well-executed, there are instances where scenes drag on unnece…

Attack on titan’s third season puts the humanity vs titan story back and places humanity vs humanity to the forefront. As someone who’s already seen the series finish and is rewatching the episodes, I think this was an important part of the series for developing the world and finally setting the politics within the walls to a rest. Plot/Characters: The plot here might be slower as compared to the previous two seasons which had an intense amount of action. The action is still there but the story takes its time to develop the world and the politics within the walls. The story is good for what it is and what it's trying to achieve. Art/Animation: The series has some amazing animation sequences, though there aren’t any Titans in this season. We get very well-choreographed human on human acti…

(I have added all seasons to my personal anime list, and each season will get the same review from me, so I apologize if you have seen this more than once or are about to see this more than once.) When watching a lot of other anime as a new watcher, I had a really hard time getting into a lot of them because for me it was so incredibly easy to predict the plot. For some reason I was always able to tell just how an anime was going to end or in which direction it was headed. That was not the case for this show. Every plot twist caught me almost completely off guard. All questions that got answered as the series lead on only lead to more questions that sucked me even deeper into the show. Every aspect of this story was extremely well written from the very beginning to the very end. Going al…

Shingeki no Kijin Season 3 Part 1 is a brain explosion, compared to season 2 if it's a flame, then Season 3 is a fire. Such a number of plot twists IN 12 EPISODES!!! People love spectacles. Get it!!!! All the characters have matured, gained experience, which is the most interesting anime in whose name there is the word titans, these very titans appear only at the end. In fact, they reveal to us the ent of the people of the "land of three walls", but they also tell us a little about the Titans, intriguing us to watch part 2 of season 3 and the OVA. Well, let's continue the marathon...

Attack on Titan's third season (part 1) is an intense and dramatic journey that just keeps getting more mysterious and more exciting as it progresses. This season probably wasn't as mysterious as season 2 was, but in Season 3 part 1, we are getting a lot of our questions answered while still diving deep into unknown territory, and having a blast along the way. One of my favorite things about anime is character development. I think the winner here in that department would be Christa. It's great to watch her go from someone who achieves very little to being one of the most important characters in the series. Levi also comes off as really cool too... until the ending sequence of episode 12! What in the world was that? I guess we'll find out in part 2! One thing I struggle with in anime is…

In the third season's first part of Attack on Titan, Isayama delves into the world's power dynamics and politics, marking my initial disappointment with the work. However, this doesn't overly concern me. Every anime benefits from a political narrative, especially when the government is introduced. What intrigues me about this portion scripted by Isayama is that the strength of his work lies in its impactful and unexpected nature, particularly in its mystery. Despite this, he struggles to develop a political storyline that surpasses some less intricately written shounen anime. While Isayama handles the third season's first part competently, it appears that political intrigue is not his forte. Fortunately, this weakness is only apparent in a few scenes and episodes. Despite that, he manages…

This particular cour was the worst by far in what is otherwise a fantastically done anime. Misstep after misstep. It wasn't unwatchable by any means, but it was oftentimes painfully boring. The characters and the relationships they had with each other were put on the wayside in favor of drawn out battles. The political intrigue plot was so poorly done it was almost embarrassing. Also, was the long Levi backstory really necessary (I'll admit I never was particularly fond of Levi as a character [sacrilege, I know!], so considering the prevailing attitudes towards him I assume most people will enjoy it)? Though I did appreciate the departure from the mess that was the main plot. There were enough exciting, gripping scenes that kept me watching, but I can't give it higher than a 4 overall. Thi…

This season finally provided progress for our heroes, but it also felt more like a promise for BIGGER things to come. The tone on Season 3 Part 1 has shifted more towards political thriller, which I find not to be the show's strength. However, it did make up for subpar governmental storyline by providing some much needed answers (followed by more questions) and questioning the moral dilemma for the squad. Action set piece on this part also provide a refreshing energy, as it break away from the usual dread we are used to. The characters also show more depth and much needed growth. I have to admit that Eren was not an easy character to root for as he usually came off as whining and screaming, but this season finally punch some sense into his face. Still, the best part about AOT has to be it…

Since I binged seasons 1 to 3 my experience and my enjoyment of the series are all conjoined and I doubt I'll even be able to score all three seasons separately because of the way I've decided to experience this show. I like this show a ton and season three is just the cherry on top. I love all three of these seasons and the climax of the first half of the series. It's the climax within the walls before it all comes crashing down next season. If this was simply a storm, then season 4 is a fucking hurricane. I enjoyed this a lot!
