Well, what better anime to look at, especially with how today's political climate has become, with anime called Cop Craft? Released before Funimation and Crunchyroll merged via their parent company, Sony. This is an interesting kind of buddy cop cliche but with a rather interesting concept. Yes, the old-fashioned buddy cop movie cliche that everyone either loves or hates since it has always been a thing since the 80s. I don't mind them too much, depending on how they're built up. Of course, I have a few favorites of my own. Cop Craft is more on the approach on humans coexisting with elves, fairies, and other fantastic creatures in both diplomatic and humane reasoning. Don't worry, it isn't as Isekai as you would think it is. I beg to differ. This is a reverse Isekai. Remember Inu Yasha and…

As i sit here attempting to craft a review for one of the worst cop shows I've ever had the misfortune of watching, I am tempted to abandon the endeavor entirely and never again think of this anime. This show makes me want to retroactively subtract 1 rating point from every anime I've seen as it singlehandedly has diminished the entire medium that is Japanese animation and can be used as supporting evidence to the argument "anime was a mistake".
The vast majority of the effort and investment into this series was likely spent on a collegiate language experts to create an entire fictional elvish language, as well as consultations with Tolkein and the writers of Miami Vice. They also threw in a bunch of impressively original but entirely out of place music that never once matched the settin…

I've watched this anime three times, and the likes for this anime are starting to drop.
This anime is quite interesting with its own storyline, although there is no initial story before the two parties reconcile.
I think this will be a story for the next season, I hope there is a continuation.
The downside is the fight scenes, they are not well done.
For example, never PAUSE this anime, then it will be clear that the picture will be strange. Lol.
The opening and ending songs are very good, I think they are very harmonious with the story of this anime.

Surprisingly, this is a good anime and deserve a (8.80) from me.
This story tells about the story of a policeman in a city with a high crime rate because the city is a city where not only humans live there, but there are also other races so that crimes can easily occur. In 12 episodes the story has been sufficiently conveyed and the development of the story was executed very well and I feel that I am really satisfied with the ending that was delivered because it did not raise question marks about the fate of the story because it really ended well. The two main characters that I easily consider as one of the best duos in the world of anime. Kei and Tilarna, a pair of partners who try to understand each other and remind themselves to be better and accept changes. Their symbolism and chemistr…

Don't mind the relatively low overall score because this anime is criminally underrated, which honestly put me off for a long time. I would have expected it to be at least a 7 or 7.5 and I regret not watching it sooner. Yes, some people comment on the quality but it's not hideous. It is on the contrary a diamond in the rough.
What's interesting in any story is not how people succeed but how they fail and *through* hardships succeed. We have flawed characters en masse who all have valid reasonings for their evil or unethical ways; bad cops, murdering soldiers, corrupt politicians etc. Some change, others do not. The writers could easily have chalked it up as a basic "good vs. evil" story but when you, the viewer, start sympathizing (but not necessarily agreeing) with the antagonists then y…

It's about time we get a buddy cop anime. This felt like if Netflix took that theme and put an anime spin on it. I'm very privy to police shows on TV, so this show piqued my interest. This is another show that I think suffers from the dreaded "too short" designation. The world is incredibly interesting. But they only had 12 episodes to build it out. This ultimately makes the story feel rushed, which takes away from it. If this show had been 24 episodes, they could've really done more to not only teach you more about the setting, but also flesh out the character relationships better.

Everything in this anime was presented half-heartedly and I mean everything story, characters, art, fight sequences, plot development everything. The story really had the potential to be a remarkable anime, but they just didn't do it right. I watched it and it was just mediocre in every department. The character's backstory had really good potential to be impactful but it sucked. The story was presented poorly only the last two or three episodes were done decently. Overall I was very disappointed to see such potential in a story gone to waste. I really wish the creators would would have done a good job.

This anime takes a 6 exclusively for a reason of rationality and objectivity. Objectively this anime deserves a 5/6 because the writing of the dialogues, the management of the scenes and the lack of depth of the story do not lead me to consider Cop Craft a quality product.
However the enjoyment of this product is fantastic, the episodes entertained me, amused me and I was partly fond of the protagonists, I enjoyed this anime.
Especially Kei, the protagonist, is a type of character that I really like, a kind of "tsundere" that turns out to be considerate towards Telarna going to create a nice relationship between them.
Objectivity leads me to give this anime a 6, but with great affection.

I'm going to be honest this show would be masterpiece... If it wasn't rushed
but about that in a moment.
Story is outstanding 10/10
Personally i would love to see more realistic stories like this.
when i first checked this show and read summary i was quite thrown off
But after first episode i fallen in trap of watching one episode after another
without breaks. Story is told in awesome way but... ending is rushed
this show should be told in 24 episodes or 16 at least.
12 seams not enough so ending got rushed but it was still great. Art is outstanding i fallen in love with it
Sound is even better! opening and ending are great to listen to.
Characters are really interesting they are filled with personalities and
are not hollow... In short stories the characters often are blank and easily e…

Story:
The story in this anime have a concept like Outbreak Company and GATE. But it's more look likes in the earth. The story really makes us know what happen if our earth was combined with another world. And we has been showed it by Criminal eye.
Art:
The art is too simple but they did well at the city they succeeded make the night city in that anime. The action scenes seems good but not bad at all to.
Sound:
I really like the opening. The opening feels like you are in the crimes world. With the music feels so American, that's so cool.
After all, this is my opinion:
"one world is troublesome, let alone two"

I'm under the belief that Cop Craft might just be the perfect
buddy cop anime there is. I could be wrong though, however my enjoyment for the show is quite obvious with my scores. I just wish the anime studio that did Cop Craft gave it a little more respect, time and resources due to the fact that it lacked in some areas that ended up in most people giving it a low or an average score.
Story: 10/10
The story is fairly simplistic when talking about the show as a whole. It follows Kei Matoba- a former soldier turned police officer and Tilarna Exedilika- a noble from a far off kingdom. After Kei loses his longtime partner in action, Tilarna & Kei work together to solve the cases and mysteries that San Teresa has to offer them. I also quite like the political & philosophical subtexts it dro…

Quick take: Cop Craft makes me frustrated. Intriguing premise, mediocre storyline, and great characters makes my head spin on what to think. It's another one of those animes with great potential that was poorly executed. You’re watching Cop Craft for the character interactions and not much else. You’ll likely be roped into thinking the story line is incredibly intriguing over the first few episodes, just as I did. Had this rating been done then, I would’ve rated this show differently. Unfortunately, the plot suffers as the series goes on.
Look at my score to understand why this got an 7. Cop Craft gives me mixed feelings. How do I rate something where I enjoyed the concept but hated the execution?
The storyline is split into several arcs that span 3-5 episodes throughout the season. Us…

At first I was skeptical. In the first episode, there was so much to put into head. What is Semanian? What is Ratna? what is Dorini? And on top of that, the setting is so gritty and dark and made me think "ahh this is gonna be a boring one". The only thing I understood was there is a case about smuggling fairies. But as I watch longer episode after episode, I didn't even realize how far I've gotten into it.
Animation 10/10
Yes. Every episode feels like a movie. The attention in detail of the animation is just absolutely worth praising. Its so good I could even say it's level of detail is on par of Rick and Morty's.
Characters 10/10
You could totally tell Exedilika's (the female protagonist) character growth as the story progresses.
As for Matoba, he is a very clever protagonist. And co…

I thought I would hate this anime and it would be really boring but it surprised me.the animation is really beautiful and the character design is also amazing. The Story line is pretty cool but also not 10 of 10. I enjoyed the anime but I just wish they didn't have the lolicon shit in there. one thing I didn't really like in this anime is how the 18 year old girl is blushing for the 30 year old man, maybe some people are okay with it but it's just disturbing for me. I thought they would show them as a sibling relationship but you can tell she has feelings for him.overall the anime was very enjoyable,I know I'm focusing on the lolicon part and the relationship part but the anime does not focus on it that much and the plot is actually pretty interesting I really enjoyed it lot and the main an…

Cop Craft is a twelve episode anime series from last year based off of a series of light novels that have been going since '09. The anime was handled by Millepensee. A studio best known for the new Berserk anime and making a billion seasons of Teekyuu. Neither of which I've seen. So, this is my introduction to them.
Story:
In the world of Cop Craft, our world is connected to another with fairies and magic. We open with two undercover cops going to buy a fairy when one of their suspects seemingly goes into a trance, kills one of them and makes a break with the fairy. We cut to the survivor, Blandon McStandard, getting partnered with an alien, Blanda Actiongirl. The pair are going to have to find the faerie and then solve other cases caused by the intersection of their cultures.

When somebody says a show is bad or doesn't seem good at all, they're saying that based on their own interests. Whether you can trust that your interests align up to theirs or not is all up to you, but I guess what I'm getting at is a dumb way to say this show will vary in quality depending on who's watching it, and for me, it was an amazing experience.
Call me isekai trash, I don't care, it's true. I find that any kind of story that involves some element of a culture shock to be insanely interesting, and so far my favorite is seeing people of a weird fantasy world experience the moral dilemma, advanced, messed up world that we call home. This show is all that and so much more. By the end of the series you realize what this is all about, it's a story about morals, discerning what's right…

it's quite rare that I want to comment on an anime, in general when I like it I just put 7 or 9 and I'm looking for another one. but for this one I really don't know.
This anime is like a cheap detective series that we still like to watch for the humor, the investigations and the development of the characters. The thing is and i guess it's that, they really didn't have a big budget to make it or at least I hope that's what it is. Because this show is good but it kinda feel rushed in so many level. as for example the cutting of episodes might have been a good idea but as certain plot and development are accelerated.
we just feel like they ate half of the next episode to finish their plot or that they tried to do a forced cliffanger so the viewers would want to watch the next one.
but ev…

Guess ppl come to this anime expecting cheap comedy and combats that last for 100episodes or something... its the my only guess to why this anime has scored so low. [Spoilless Review]
It doesn't deserve it, this anime is quite good on its own, first of all its a Seinen anime, not a Shounen of course Battles aren't going to last long or be polished enough because it doesn't matter to the plot, they aren't the main focus of the anime anyway. Non-child friendly topics going to be discussed often(but they aren't filosofal or anything, just mature stuff), some might be tough for children to comprehend even though the female character looks like it came out of a Shounen manga or something. She does goes through a huge development in personality, and intelectual growth and for that alone is wort…

While I was watching the first episode I was sceptical about the principal lead. This police officer is a bastard, I just hate him - he's Dirty Harry with a sociopath complex that has no regard for the grief of other people and…
OMG OMG - or should I say: Oh My Goddess!!! She's C U T E ! ! !. And now I get it.
The story is a winner, the characters got to me, and the merger of the grimy police Dragnet drama and Fairy swordmaster Isekai is working really well. Until it all goes wrong, because this animation is NOT FINISHED!
It's as if the concept art was submitted to the studio that only completed 1/8 frames, and then rather than finishing and/or outsourcing the fillers - it's just sent back to broadcast as is - together with CGI that pays no attention to physics.
I might be spoiled for…

Tonight, I wanna talk about this weird ass show called Cop Craft that came out this past summer. Its kind of a blend of fantasy and crime drama which is something I don't mind.Hell, I was actually in favor of how fantasy is incorporated rather than just being something random in a weak excuse to make a magical world. But I'm not talking about Alderman rn, I'm talking about Cop Craft, a show where elves and humans live together but there are some tensions going on between races. So a cop named Kei Mataba has to team up with an elf girl called Exidilika or something and they craft some cops I guess.
Now to describe the actual story in forms of quality, it's like a waterfall. The actual start of the show was very promising but about two detective cases in, the show falls and plummets into the g…
