Movie where main topic was supposed to be final clash between strongest good and strongest bad people turned out into flashbacks festival. I couldn't say that I'm even surprised much, due to similar things happening in previous seasons as well, but I kinda expected less, or not at all, due its a movie, but nope. 150 minutes, from which 140 are flashbacks, and 10 minutes of actual fight scenes, that I actually liked and are animated almost perfectly. And without those fight scenes, movie would be easily 1/10. Not sure if I'm ready to watch another 2 hours of flashbacks, but this time from Muzan...

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 — Spectacular Animation, Frustrating Execution
Score: 7/10
I genuinely believe Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 is overrated. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad movie. It has some incredible animation, a great soundtrack, and moments that are genuinely enjoyable. However, I feel that the praise it receives often overshadows some of its biggest flaws, particularly its pacing and editing.
My biggest issue with this movie is its atrocious pacing. There were several moments when I was completely invested in a fight, only for the movie to cut away to another character or interaction and kill the momentum. I understand the need to develop multiple characters and establish parallel conflicts, but the execution frequently felt disruptive. A hyp…

Movie was good. In Original Japanese it was nice to watch. The fights are awesome and the Emotions the Movie awoke in me were great. One Character was new for me and I didnt like it, but sometimes you need someone to hate. Something was disturbing me. On German Dub it was boring. They used the German Voices for Stars like Cilian Murphy, Ryan Reynolds and many more. You heard these Voices before and their color of expressions. It was not fitting really and made me think of many other Characters while watching. German Dub Scene seems to use the same Voices over and over, it is pretty boring.
Keep watching in Original Japanese!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle I is the first part of the three-part Demon Slayer movie coming. And finally, after a year, it was released on Crunchyroll. I'll assume you've seen the previous parts for the purposes of this review.
Story & Characters: I don't think there's any secret of what Demon Slayer's about at this point. Tanjiro is on his quest to both find a way to return his sister, Nezuko, into a human, and to slay the head of all demons, Muzan. Now, Tanjiro and company enter his Infinity Castle, where he, all the Hashira and several other members of the Demon Slayer Corps. are stuck, duking it out with any demon that heads their way. The three-part movie kind of comes down as a necessity, due to all the concurrent fights going on at the same time. We'll tackle the…

Yo DON'T listen to these bums saying this movie is mid, this is honestly the second best kimetsu no yaiba work after the second movie (tanjiro team and sound hashira Vs the twins). The animation is breathtaking as per usual and akaza's backstory is honestly the best backstory of the series up until now.
People need to stop hating on demon slayer at any chance they get,yes the seasons are mediocre in terms of story and character development, but one thing they do extremely well are the movies, three out of three bangers🔥Also it stops at the perfect moment hyping you up for the next movie.
OVERALL: I recommend watching it, especially if you are new into anime, this shi slaps yo

Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie 1: Mugenjou-hen - Akaza Sairai is mid
This movie the fans was hyping it so much that made me thing it will be generational movie that will come one in life time but in the end after more then year of waiting to it to be available in the internet it was very mid and all things showed up in the movie was normal not as the fans was hyping it. i was very disappointed due to the fans agreed in the time that this movie is better then chainsaw man one which is very far from truth chainsaw man movie was 100 times better then this. and the movie is very predictable you can easily know what the fights will end be like from the begging which is every boring to watch.
Overall, think it is my mistake to get hype at this, because i know Kimetsu very will i been watching it seas…

I wouldve given this a 9, but since this is not my favorite anime, i need to give it a 8.8 but its still freaking good.
For the animation, of course we dont need to describe things. But i do like the direction of the animation. The action choreography, the music, the pause/slowmo at important scene, the camera angle... It really bring out all the potential that the story brought. It give me thrill, make me sit upright, make me actually feel nervous despite the obvious outcome i already know. The movie pacing also give us audience time to pause and let those emotion or feeling shimmer under our skin, which i really appriciated instead of rushing things. Now i understand why a movie format is perfect decision for this arc, cause it need time to actually cook it well. And that's not somethin…

Mugen Train already showed what Akaza was capable of as a villain. This film shows what he was before that — and that reframing hits harder than any punch he ever threw.
The backstory is handled with genuine care. It doesn't excuse what Akaza became, but it makes him devastatingly human. Every moment of his past feels earned, and when the weight of it finally lands, it lands completely.
What makes this work is the balance. The emotional core never gets buried under spectacle, and the action never feels like filler between flashbacks. Both halves carry equal weight, and the film is better for it.
Akaza deserved this. A proper farewell for one of the most memorable antagonists the series produced — told not through defeat, but through understanding.
Some villains are feared. The best one…

The movie is fine to watch, got great visuals, though I believe the fights are too flashy and you don't really see great movements happen, how the blows connect, the dodges.....it's all flashes and speedy movement. But it's well packed with action, so if you want to see good fireworks, it's a good movie.
The problems I got, it's with the potential wasted of the whole series, it started great, but at some point, it became all rushed, entire plot points destroyed like half the moons, everything that happens seems forced, it's pretty bad.
The movie features this issues, from nowhere, new characters and plot lines surge from nothing and are resolved 5 minutes later. It feels cheap and I'm not invested in things and people I haven't seen or heard before, the author should've taken some time t…

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Flashback Castle I
Honestly, it was quite hard to watch this movie. It's 2.5 hour long movie that should have been a normal 12-13 episode show. The problem with this is that it's full of flashback for characters that are barely in the show. Yeah, I get it, Akaza is that villain from the season 2, but come on. He's merely a sidekick character that is barely in the show. Out of all seasons, he was in season 2 and barely appeared in season 4. And in this part 1 finale (gosh, how I hate those horrible "finale of grand finale, part 69, section nice") authors spent a half an hour telling a backstory of character who:
a) Never cared much to begin with.
b) Was already pretty much dead.
Take a look at season 3, where they took a whole season telling Tengen's story…

I loved it. I watched it today and just finished it. The OST is good. I'm not going to say it's fantastic, but it's very good. It fits every scene really well and helps build the emotions throughout the movie. Some tracks stood out more than others, especially during the emotional moments and the intense battles, and they definitely made those scenes even more memorable.
The animation is perfect, as always, and the choreography is incredible. Ufotable continues to set an unbelievably high standard for animation quality. Every fight feels smooth, dynamic, and easy to follow, with amazing camera movement and beautiful visual effects. The sword techniques, lighting, and overall presentation look stunning from beginning to end. Every frame feels like it was made with a lot of care and attenti…

It's demon slayer, you're going to watch it regardless of what reviews are saying about it but you should temper your expectations.
Without delving into spoilers the biggest problem is the characters. There's a lot of time wasted on useless flashbacks to people and scenes we've seen in just about every other arc but a non-insignificant portion of the movie is dedicated to one character's flashback. Their story was decent enough... but they were already dead when their motivation behind fighting was explained. Having flashbacks trying to build out a personality of someone that is already dead while you still have the cardboard cutouts of characters wandering around the infinity castle seems like a waste.
It feels like all the lack of building out characters beyond a 20 minute sad story e…

When words have first spread around that Demon Slayer would be adapting more of its arcs into movies instead of serialized seasonal releases, you can’t imagine how toxic and controversial it got to start a DS discussion. Fans were in shambles, the Mugen train arc was a resonance signal to the anime industry that theatrical releases for adapting canons material are huge money makers. And as you’d imagine, investors were not about to let that one pass.
Love it or hate it, the Mugen train was a marvel in terms of optimizing pacing for a canon arc adaptation. And the first Infinity Castle arc movie took that to new highs.
Pacing being one of the most commonly complained about aspects of a given show, this movie leaves no room for that. From start to finish, all scenes transition seamlessly w…

I’ll get to the point, this is the best thing I’ve seen out of Demon Slayer so far. This felt like the big “endgame” moment for many of these characters.
The animation and fights are at its best here in my opinion. Zenitsu had a great moment here too where he finally get to see him lock in. The fight between Shinobu and Dona was great too.
The biggest chunk of this movie is dedicated to Tanjiro and Giyu against Akaza and here’s where the action is at its peak here, some amazing action. The sound design here is also incredible, Akaza’s punches come too mind. The music is great as well, from a production standpoint, it’s pretty perfect.
We also get the backstory of Akaza as well and while it’s great, this is also my biggest complaint, that it goes on for too long for me. I don’t mind the…

Watched this with my bestie and it was AMAZING. The visuals are stunning, the voice acting is over the roof, and the fight scenes are incredible. My only complaint about Demon Slayer will always be the pacing though, since i am a bit irritated how fast everything happens. Fight scenes last like 10 seconds and then one of the characters die and that's it. Would've been nicer if they lasted a tad longer to give us a more realistic feel, but i think this is more of a personal issue... Also i kind of dislike how 90% of the movie is just flashbacks from the characters, and although the reasoning is valid, idk i still find it kind of dumb. However, that doesn't mean DS has a bad story. Far from it. It's a work of art and i highly reccomend.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Movie 1: Mugenjou-hen - Akaza Sairai is a movie. It did its job. It drags a bit at the end. The pacing is what sets Chainsaw Man movie apart from this movie. Where Chainsaw Man ramps up properly, Infinity Castle P1 does the opposite, where we see peaks and valleys, so it suffers from that.
Animation 10/10
- The detail is crazy, some moments are jaw dropping.
Sound 7/10
- It's fine, BGM needs some flare.
Story 4/10
- There is no story, but there's backgrounds that are fine, not as impactful as S2 backgrounds though.
Characters 7/10
- Its good, but Shinobu and Kanao Tsuyuri vs Douma should have had more screentime.
Enjoyment 8/10
- It's enjoyable.
As far as recommendations, for the animation alone, I'd tell everyone to watch.

I had high expectations for Infinity Castle Part 1, but what I saw was easily the weakest Demon Slayer adaptation I’ve seen so far. The pacing was painfully slow, to the point where I had to take multiple breaks just to shake off the boredom. Instead of building tension, the film dragged out scenes unnecessarily, making the experience feel more like a chore than entertainment.
The backstories of the demons were another major issue. Rather than adding depth or emotional weight, they felt long, repetitive, and uninteresting. These sequences killed the momentum and made me wish the story would just move forward.
The only saving grace was the fight against Upper Rank. That battle had the intensity, animation quality, and emotional punch that I expect from Demon Slayer. It reminded me of why…

Last year truly was a great year for anime movies with both Chainsaw Man: The Movie - Reze Arc and Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution releasing alongside this all within two months. While the movie is two hours and thirty five minutes long, I didn’t really feel it but that could be because I was engaged in the film the whole time. Ufotable never fails to impress me with their gorgeous animation. It’s impressive that they’re able to put out new Demon Slayer content so consistently almost on a yearly basis while still maintaining such great visuals. They seriously did outdid themselves with the animation here; the Infinity Castle feels so alive. There’s lots of flashbacks to characters and their backstories or things that happened previously but they all feel completely necessary to the plot. Not onl…

I love the movie. It had some nice sound work, and the infinite castle visuals were awesome. The fight scenes were awesome, though I think they could've put more focus on the fights instead of talk no-jutsu and flashbacks. It felt like the whole thing was a flashback with a hint of the main story or current events. Like how a pinch of salt is added for flavor; that's how it felt—the current story was just there for visuals and the rest was just backstory. To each their own, I think the movie was fantastic, but this flashback and talking to villains—making them remember they once had dreams of being the hokage and they should just give up being the villain and everything will be forgiven—is kinda the worst.
I hate this talk no-jutsu so much. Like, the villain chose to be the villain and the…

If I remember correctly, I watched this movie back in September 2025, and after months of reflection, my opinion remains unchanged.
The technical aspects of this film are genuinely great , the battle sequences, CGI, and visual effects are top tier, and that is where the praise largely ends for me. Unfortunately, the story pacing and overall narrative quality fall somewhere between mediocre and below average, which is a significant disappointment.
The series as a whole, from the episodes leading up to this movie, I can feel it's struggles to maintain meaningful momentum. It lacks significant hooks or memorable narrative beats that keep you invested to the story. The emotional scenes, rather than feeling earned and impactful, are so overwhelming and prolonged that they lose their effective…
