Holy crap even if this season is much shorter than the others this is easily my favourite season - going from the kintama arc to the to the courtesan of a nation the stakes just get so much higher and each arc just out does the previous - the courtesan arc is quite easily the best arc of the show up to this point - it was genuinely some of the best stuff I have ever seen - it’s just so gripping and learning more about gintokis past was the cherry on top - there’s a clear upgrade in the animation and the quality of everything this season from the openings to the endings to how genuinely serious it can get - the introduction of oboro and the tenshuin naruko was absolutely incredible - just a fantastic time

This season of Gintama is "a little more serious"... just kidding (but not really).
Gintama' Enchousen maintains exactly what makes the series so unique: a chaotic (and brilliant) balance between absurd humor and surprisingly profound moments. Right from the start, the anime shows what it's all about with the "substitute" Kintoki Sakata arc, which basically forces Gintoki Sakata to fight to reclaim his place. And of course, all this happens with an avalanche of jokes, ranging from blatant parodies to that nonsense humor that only Gintama can execute so well. It's the kind of arc that makes you laugh non-stop and at the same time establishes the unpredictable tone of the season.
But if there's something that truly elevates Enchousen to another level, it's the greater focus on Gintoki's pa…

The season itself doesn't last long; it's just three arcs with a good structure and incredible endings. The first one starts unexpectedly, touching very briefly on topics such as identity. The second one, in general, is even more incredible, giving us a glimpse into the old shogunate and Gintoki and Takasugi's past with Master Shouyou. The third one is the weakest for me, but that doesn't mean it isn't still good. Because it explores the relationship between Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Otae in a little more depth.
Despite everything, this season has moments of comedy that are a little out of place but are still great. Now more than anything, I'm excited for the next season and the "Shogun Assassination" and "Farewell Shinsengumi."

Title: Gintama: The Ultimate Anime That Redefines Shonen and Comedy
Score: 10/10
Review:
Gintama is a masterpiece that deserves its place at the pinnacle of anime. Created by Hideaki Sorachi, this series (and its multiple seasons, OVAs, and films) is a genre-defying rollercoaster that blends gut-busting comedy, heart-pounding action, and tear-jerking drama in a way no other anime can match. After watching all 367 episodes, Gintama: The Final movie, and revisiting arcs like Benizakura and Silver Soul, I can confidently say this is the most rewatchable, versatile, and emotionally resonant anime I’ve ever experienced.Story (9/10): Gintama’s premise—an alternate Edo Japan invaded by aliens, centered on the slacker samurai Gintoki Sakata and his odd-jobs crew—is deceptively simple. The series s…

Season 3
I'm writing this as apart of the definitive Gintama review (I made for the previous season so please go check that out for context for this) but I want to clarify for context that I have only seen this and the past seasons as of writing this
This as of writing has been the best season so far, The blonde Gintoki Imposter part was alright, The tragic love story bit with the shogun was again alright, I did love the Tsukuyo bits in that part I will add, They did a entire Star Wars parody, I never thought I'd be able to type out the words “Anime Yoda Terrorists” before but guess we live in a word where that's a thing, The final episode was actually my favorite of the season, I don't overwrite my thoughts but Sadaharu's episode might possibly be one of my favorite parts of this entire…

This is, in my opinion, the best Gintama offered up until now. There are 3 arcs and a standalone episode.
The first arc is surprisingly deep, with a very fun premise and a meaningful advancement on the core themes of this anime.
The second arc sees some of the pieces that were established so early on finally start to take their place in preparation for the last stretch within a very well-developed narrative within the arc and a touching conclusion.
The third arc is plain fun. It manages light-hearted jokes, well choreographed fights and reaching for seemingly forgotten aspects of the overall story.
If you've been liking Gintama, you won't stop now. If you were in the fence, this should tip you in a direction. If you don't like Gintama … 260 episodes in, I think you should have already…

Well, let me begin by saying that Gintama': Enchousen is an anime that truly deserves its reputation as one of the funniest and most entertaining series out there. The story follows the misadventures of Gintoki Sakata, a samurai who now works as a freelancer in a world where aliens have taken over Japan.
The series manages to blend comedy, action, and drama in a way that is truly unique, and the Enchousen arc is no exception. It's filled with hilarious gags, epic fight scenes, and heartwarming moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
One of the things that sets apart from other anime is its unique style. The series is known for its clever parodies of other popular anime and manga, as well as its irreverent humor and fourth-wall-breaking antics. It's a series that doesn't take…

Gintama: Enchousen was amazing no doubt about it. Everything from the epic fights to the humour to the super sad parts about it, everything was amazing. It was truly jaw-dropping to see all the past arcs come together, the Yoshiwara arc, the promises from the first few episodes of Gintama, and the Shogun arcs as well. All amazing.
The Story: This is quite different from the other Gintamas. THERE IS AN ACTUAL STORY HERE. and it's amazing! It was comprehensible and flowed amazingly. 10/10
Animation: Beautiful. 10/10
Music: Ok music is good but compared to the musical animes nothing special. 7/10.
Why you should watch it: If you watched the other Gintamas, this is a no brainer. Its #11 for a reason.
Final score: 10/10
Thanks!

Gintama': Enchoussen. Called as such because it's not a third season, but an extension of the second season. And because of that, I have practically nothing to say. As a whole, it's marginally better than the season it extends from, if only because they managed to pull up three longer arcs in a row and finish on a rather moving final.
First arc was just entertaining. It didn't carry much meaning despite having the potential to do just that, but at least it was entertaining. Second arc was great, it did introduce new power players that were dealt with immediately, some others that will become a re-ocurring threat. Third arc was really good, it got my boy Shinpachi some blood on his hands and some meaningful character development. The final episode was just moving, and you get to see how fa…

WOW!
Although I have rated everything related to Gintama I have watched out of 10 (note, it may seem the opposite, but I don't give 10/10s very easily. Gintama is just that good), but I can safely say, up till this point, this was the best Gintama got.
First, we have the Kintama arc, which is (apparently?) a serious arc, and sometimes it does feel that way, although it has its moments which are just bloody hilarious. Just having a serious arc almost entirely about breaking the 4th wall is genius in my opinion. It's a fantastic arc.
But the next arc. PHEW. It is really something. Called the "Courtesan of a Nation arc", in my opinion, this arc sent Gintama into another stratosphere, and is very important to build up to future arcs. And it is MINDBLOWING.
The basic premise, that I will say…

Gintama': Enchousen
Consisting of a few comedy episodes, followed by one of the most famous and popular "Serious" Arcs in Gintama and ending with another mid-Serious Arc. With this result, this season holds up as probably one of the best in all of Gintama. Solely due to the faster pacing and the least drawn-out arc in the anime.
[Story 6]
"The Courtesan of a Nation" arc is by far the second-best arc in Gintama and has the fastest pacing of all the arcs. Even though the "Shogun Assassination Arc" was the best in terms of content, it had much slower pacing, making this one just get to the point faster. This arc is followed by another hybrid between "comedy and serious". Of course, as expected with Gintama, there is no transition whatsoever between the humor and serious episodes. These jus…

I've never cried so much in 13 episodes. This short season is the most compact TV version of what makes Gintama so amazing: emphasis on relationships between the characters, stories of humans bound by their individual vows, gripping personal and political storylines, and a wide array of dirty jokes.
I will admit that the Baragaki arc at the end of the previous season undershot my expectations, so I was a little worried going into the meatiest arc of this season. The Courtesan of a Nation arc blew my expectations out of the water with its grit, action, and reveals. The arcs that came before and after were also great, focusing more on the bonds Odd Jobs have built between other characters.
I will admit that I missed the comedy focused episodes/arcs in between the heavy stories. I watched…

character=10- Now this is what seperates gintama from other shows. The characters are all useful and not dragging. They are all different and unique in their own way and that what makes it good
Enjoyment=10
Overall=INFINITE/10 SIMPLY PUT THIS SEASON WAS A LIVING MASTERPIECE I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS SHOW IS SO UNDERRATED WRYYYYYYYYY…

TL:DR AT END
Gintama:Enchousen is one of the highest ranking shows on MAL and for a very good reason, the Gintama franchise is a masterpiece and contains some of the funniest and most heartwarming moments in any anime I've ever seen. Now despite this anime getting such glowing reviews it is not without its flaws, the reason for writing this review is because of the large amount of 10 reviews for this particular season and I felt that I needed to write my first ever MAL review to show others the truth. Once again sorry if this review is not the best as it is my first but I hope you learn something from this and don't blast me for giving every Gintama medium a perfect 10.
Story: 8/10
The story of Gintama Enchousen is perhaps the most glaring issue and the reason why I'm giving this season…

“Show that you can stop the women that you sneer at! Show that you can defend the castle built on the tears of those women! Since you’ve forgotten about them, we’ll have to remind you! These women have come to topple a country.”
- Tsukuyo, Episode 259 (Gintama’: Enchōsen 7)
These 13 episodes are some of the best of Gintama, covering three arcs and a one-episode story, that demonstrates the balance of comedy, drama, and action that the series is known for. All the positives from Gintama’ remain, with the improvements in animation continuing on. Separating these short arcs from the rest of Gintama’ works well; especially for the first arc of the series.
Gintama’: Enchōsen stands out from the prior Gintama series’ due to the absence of multiple comedy episodes between the arcs. This chang…

One of the big Enchousen things is that it covers the Kintama and Courtesan of a Nation arcs, which is a turning point on the series, become more plot-oriented and entering the whole political concept of the story, since it's based on the Edo period.
Although you won't laugh as much (which is one of the major strong points in the show), you'll crave for more as you watch this one, proving that Gintama is not just your everyday comedy series, but also one of the greatest shounen anime of all time.
The OST is also a great feature here, which makes battles even more exciting and totally worth the wait.

This season is so interesting because it's entirely filled with episodes that carry a serious tone. Gintama is always funny, but everything from the three arcs in this season to the only episodic-type episode carried emotional content. And I loved it.
So, yes, you aren't getting as much straight comedy in this season. If that is the only part of Gintama you like (I don't know why you would be crazy enough to only love the comedy, though), then this season veers away from that. There's only one major story arc, but all the episodes are heavy in one way or another.
The theme of this season, for the most part, seemed to be how important and precious Gintoki is as a main character, as a friend, and as an ally. This season did remarkably well to show character development for most every sect…

This is my first review on an anime. I'll try to write my best and try to keep it simple.
Well, Gintama':Enchousen, at first i thought was a non-canon or filler arc. But the more i watched the more i became surprised and astonished. Alright, my first impression on this season on this season of Gintama will be , "I never thought an anime would question itself why the main character in the show is needed, what good does he and is he good enough for the show?" These were some questions answered by this Gintama season beautifully. WHY Gintoki is needed, what good is Gintoki and is he good enough for the show? These were answered in the first few episode of the season and I truly loved and was so beautiful.
Moving on, we all know Gintama can execute beautiful emotions from the simplest of story…

This was the shortest of the Gintama Arcs but it actually packs a lot in for 13 episodes. There are 3 main Arcs and few one-shot episodes.
Of the Arcs, the first is alright, the second was outstanding and the third decent. There's backstory and a lot of action. The downside is that the humour takes a bit of a backseat but it still made me chuckle and at least at one point cry which is pretty good for such a short arc. It also really benefits from having more budget than the original season.
Overall this is a really good addition to the Gintama series, and sets up the next Season nicely.
