I've never seen a team so poorly managed that it makes me wanna cry. The players aren't bad. They're franchise players. Generational. But their coach is some pure HOT, ASS.
Integra has to be one of the worst leaders I have ever watched. She is NOT built for this shit. You send your best player (THE STRONGEST CREATURE IN THE VERSE) to a boat that a JV PLAYER controlled. That's like putting Kobe up against a bunch of elementary kids. HE'S SCORING 300! Her father most likely knew both his brother and daughter were a whole bunch of ASS. He picked integra with the hope that she'd improve over time, making one of the biggest gambles. That's like betting on the Dallas Cowboys to make it to the Super Bowl, or like the Brooklyn Nets making it to the Conference Finals.
She's a DISGRACE to the Hells…

Ok, so this Is my first review in this site, since I havent read the original source, ill try to judge the series as an independent product
Hellsing ultimate is an gore and blood parade with no much deep, it has all the cool and edgy visuals and sequences that keep your attention almost like shaking keys infront of a baby, of course is one of the reasons I loved it, madhouse works in visuals never fail to amaze me, but I still have this love hate with the series as a story
I dont like to say that it "dissapointed me", because thats a very harsh word, but still I cant deny that I espected a more interesting lore from Hellsing, all potential deep and exploration of the characters, theyr relationships and backstorys is overshadowed by the epic super gorey rights that fill the series

Enfim, achei chato.

The cast has hardly any proper characterization; we essentially know nothing about them. Instead of the show adequately developing the characters, we'll get several episodes straight of explosions and shootout scenes that get stale pretty quickly. The show clearly prioritizes action, which itself is fine; however, most of the action is very samey after episode 3. Every fight sequence with Alucard, the protagonist, comprises him getting pelted with bullets, and then he regenerates himself and just shoots everyone. The action sequences don't even have any sort of good choreography; it's mostly just characters' aura farming and shit. Whenever the show does try and have drama it will just be scene of a character getting raped or molested for cheap shock value because he couldn't come up with a…

Hellsing Ultimate is a proper class masterpiece.
The soundtrack was genuinely Allah's gift. Every track fits the scenes perfectly and makes the action even more enjoyable.
The story was also really interesting and never felt generic, which is surprising because there are so many vampire shows out there. It always felt fresh, and a big part of that was the villains. As a fan of Wolfenstein, seeing that kind of retro-sci-fi Nazi villain theme made the conflict way more intense and kept me constantly hooked, rather than it just being a standard vampire story.
Seras ended up being my favourite character. Her voice actor did a really good job, and her massive weapons were class. (And I actually mean her actual guns, this isn’t a sexual innuendo).
I also loved how much attention they gave to…

Hellsing is about a collection of bigger than life characters, in a deadlock and eternal struggle of ideals, with each of the main players fully devoted to their conviction. These opposing worldviews are in fact at constant odds, and have been at odds for decades (and even centuries). The most endearing part of the series (for me) is how far is each of these people willing to go to prove their view is the right one, while everyone else is all wrong.
Sometimes these characters seem outlandish, cartoonish or caricatures of the profiles they are representing, but in the end there is something very real and human about each of them. And the most human thing about them is this exact determination to subdue, conquer, and in the end be the last one standing. But the series very much touches on t…

This is that rarest of cases where form so utterly dominates substance that it literally violates every boundary of logic just to squeeze the maximum possible "edge" and pathos out of every scene. The author’s approach to storytelling is quite bizarre, as they waste time on the drama of even the most brainless and seemingly useless characters, occasionally turning the plot into a "pleasant" farce.
To answer the million-dollar question: "Did it manage to critique ultra-radical ideologies?" Hell no. It came off as lazy, overblown, and flat-out ridiculous. The theme of Nazism here is nothing more than a cheap, hollow aesthetic—one that fans of this series unfortunately love to brag about. Instead, the "Man vs. Monster" thread is much more prominent, and for me, the only real points of interes…

This anime being a successor of the original Hellsing, for its succession, it fits, starting from the ending of hellsing anime, to the ending of this anime, with new characters and feuds. Returns of old feuds and characters too also add to the new mix and also combining higher production quality, new character dynamics, and new means of sorcery to make the series of Hellsing not fall on its knees at the ending of the first premiered series.
Overall, this edition to the franchise of hellsing is one to be respected and it is even more gorey.
The major grain of salt to be taken is that it repeats a lot of the clips from Hellsings, its predeccessor anime. However that grain of salt can be swallowed down since it sets as a recall to prepare for the next clips, new events. Still gets the sam…

I absolutely love this anime and plan to get it tattooed on my back soon. I rewatch it all the time. A lot of people say it's boring and objectively I can see why they think that. The episodes are long, it has some nazi war stuff that happens, and you're kind of left wanting to see Alucard go insane more often, but you don't get much of that. Regardless, I think the anime delivers in a lot. Aesthetically it's beautiful. It has that dark, gory, vampiric feel that you can only get from old anime. The plot is decent, but it feels like a subplot compared to what it could be, if that makes sense. Like I feel like this anime feels like "a day in the life of alucard" instead of an actual complete plot, but honestly I don't mind. I love the characters, I love the aesthetic, and it'll forever be in…

To start off, I believe the main highlight here is the overall production quality — considering the music, storyboard, and those massive angles that make everything more elaborate, along with the intense scenes and, of course, the voice acting. I usually watch anime in Japanese without subtitles, so I’ll talk specifically about the Japanese dub — and it was simply spectacular. It’s the kind of voice acting that truly gives life to the characters.
As I mentioned above, everything works together to ultimately complement the voice acting. Much like Death Note, for example, this anime has more realistic character designs, darker tones, and heavier shadows. Shows like this are rare, so it’s really amazing to experience something like this — especially if you enjoy powerful vampires, brutal fig…

Studio MadHouse was right when they decided to take their sweet time with this anime, it looks insane, is well written, the pacing is fast but that's ok, since we're all here for the action and the blood (like vampires), and when it gets too serious the comic relief is there to fulfil its function, and even makes fun of itself, which I also like, the soundtrack is epic too!
There is a lot of religious and political elements taking part in the plot, something I'm not accustomed in this type of media, however, this adds a layer of pseudo-realism that allows us to empathise better with these fucked-up societies, and of course, the internal conflicts of each protagonist. Anyway, this was all possible thanks to the excellent villain that the story introduces us with anticipation, if I probably…

Hellsing Ultimate unfolds as a dark supernatural war story where gothic horror, historical revenge, and extreme violence collide. The series builds a world in which humanity’s greatest threats do not come only from monsters in the shadows, but also from the ideologies and obsessions carried by humans themselves. Beneath the brutal battles and stylized bloodshed lies a narrative about power, control, and the unsettling question of whether humanity can truly claim moral superiority over the monsters it fears. The story centers on the secretive British organization known as Hellsing, an agency tasked with protecting England from supernatural threats such as vampires, ghouls, and other creatures of the night. Operating outside the authority of ordinary law enforcement, the Hellsing Organizatio…

Hellsing Ultimate is a badass series that nails both the plot and the visuals. The story is dark and intense - a war between Nazi vampires, religious zealots and the most badass vampire.
Alucard is the ultimate anti-hero — terrifying, cool and unstoppable. Seras goes from being the sidekick to an absolute savage and Integra's iron fist leadership adds real weight to the cast. The villains aren't just 'bad guys' - they’re fanatics fueled by ruthless ideology, yet beneath their monstrous actions lies a disturbingly human conviction. Take for example the Major who is a terrifyingly charismatic villain not driven by power or survival but by an obsessive love for war itself.
The animation? Wildly intense and violent action scenes that feel like boss fights every episode also don't forget abou…

it's a good experience, but not so unique for me.
you know, it's a technically good anime. the animation is good (it aged really well for a 2006 anime), the gore is entertaining, and some of the endings are good. i have few reservations; at most, i find some scenes disposable or longer than necessary. even so, it wasn't that striking to me; it was just good. if you're more of a fan of the genre and don't mind some uncomfortable scenes, or have never seen anything like it and are interested, you'll probably like it more than i did.
anyway, again, it's a good anime, or even better depending on your taste. the art style is beautiful, the story isn't too predictable, and the characters are charismatic. just don't go in expecting an epic or a very deep story. not that the anime doesn't have i…

one of the best and worst animes ive ever watched. the animation, style, designs, audio, and fights are all amazing and are entirely the reason i would recommend it to anyone, even if everything else was an absolute slog. the plot/writing is terrible, but what is really the worst thing about it is the antagonists, i don't know if i have ever seen or read anything with a more boring main antagonist... this is, for me, absolutely the worst anime everyone needs to watch. one thing that made this stand out from many other militaryesque anime is not having german themes for the main plot/characters which got really tiring. its cool to see how they portray different countries and parts of Christianity.

This is the Review for Hellsing Ultimate.
The story telling and pacing was a little wanky, but generally it was a very good watch! I almost wish it was longer, but I feel as if 10 episodes is the perfect length for an anime such as this.
My only real gripe is one that was brought up from watching the Abridged first. In the Abridged, the pacing of the story, the reveal of certain details, and the romance that happened are handled far better. It fails to be an unraveling story with reveals, and is instead a handfed plotline. There's no suspense, no questions. As soon as a question is asked, it's answered 5 minutes later.
All that to say, still an 8/10 because I recognize this is an old anime and for what it does, it does it very, very well. Give it a try if you haven't.

What can I say, Hellsing Ultimate was some of the first things I got around to, when I started watching anime, besides of course, shows like Naruto, which was running in the TV during evenings during my childhood. I always liked content with Third Reich themes, so this was easy watch for me, episodes just flew by.
It honestly says a lot, when Alucard is basically unbeatable, first thought would be, how can this be interesting? But it is, it is very much interesting, it has just the right amount of action, comedy, drama. Voices in Japanese are phenomenal, actors really put their soul into the show. Plot is fine, easy to follow and climax was, at least for me, quite unexpected. Animation is great too, they don't beat around the bush with anything, bodies are flying left and right, blood is…

In order to not start off extremely negative i will list off the things i did like about this show: the soundtrack is good and so is the action, the characters and their designs are cool (apart from seras), the overall premise is cool, the voice acting is good (again, apart from seras) specifically Alucard’s voice actor that guy really outdid himself. Now onto the actual review.
If you want to know about the story, to put it simply, there really is no story. The “story” only serves as a plot device for the gorefest and carnage to ensue. This show has nothing to say and you will have nothing to take away from it. It tries to at the end but it’s very superficial and you can clearly tell the author doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It’s pretty much a meathead narrative that was a chore t…

Something seems to be missing.
At the beginning, the anime introduced several "cool" things: violence, fear, sexual content. To be honest, I really like a good 18+ plot that covers explicit content. I was also interested with the ideological battle. All those different groups fighting to put their ideology above all. It could be fun, but it was quite disappointing.
The pace is so frustrating. I like some big dialogues when the characters just start explaining their big plan, but in this anime it sounds quite boring.
Futhermore, you could feel apprehensive during the first battles, but as you see them you start realize that every single battle has the same ending. So I wouldn't expect much of it. You will understand more if you watch.
To summarise, I think it is a fine anime. When I sta…

One of the biggest inspirations for Hellsing, cited by the mangaka, is Trigun—which can be seen clearly in how Alucard's design reflects that of Vash the Stampede. This puzzles me, because Trigun is about how we should always strive for peace in spite of how difficult it is, and Hellsing is about how cool it is to rip people in half and watch them bleed.
Seriously, that's what the characters in Hellsing spend 80% of the show doing. There is no downtime. You never get a break from the relentless blood and gore. Now, to be fair, I'm not the biggest fan of action scenes, but I also really like gore in anime, so it's saying something that I got bored by how much of it there was. In simple terms, it felt excessive and gratuitous. Gore is most effective if you take the time to build up to it, g…
