Iroduku: The World in Colors

Iroduku: The World in Colors

Introduction

Despite the kaleidoscopic magic ingrained in everyday life, Hitomi Tsukishiro's monochrome world is deprived of emotion and feeling. On a night as black and white as any other, amidst the fireworks spreading across the sky, Hitomi's grandmother Kohaku conjures a spell, for which she has been harnessing the moon's light for 60 years, to send Hitomi back in time to the year 2018 when Kohaku was in high school. Hitomi's mission seems unclear, but her grandmother assures her that she will know when she gets there. Following a trip through time aboard a train driven by a strange yellow creature, Hitomi finds herself in stoic artist Yuito Aoi's room, and his drawings flood her world with color. What is Hitomi's purpose there, and why do Yuito's drawings return such breathtaking color to her drab world? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I don't know whats with me but I somehow always end up enjoying dramas, philosophical, or shows that just hit me right in the feels maybe I just like stories that make me sit there after the credits wondering what I just watched. If you don't want those then you can skip this anime. Iroduku ended up being one of those. If there's one thing Iroduku does exceptionally well, it's its themes. The plot itself is fairly simple, and the romance is subtle, but what makes the anime memorable is what it's trying to say beneath all beautiful visuals. I will be speaking with light spoilers If you're okay with that then proceed. - STORY/PREMISE I thought Iroduku was going to be mainly about time travel. A girl from the future gets sent back to the past, meets her younger grandmother, and somehow cha…

feels like they shortened the story from whatever this was adapted from. story is not unique. characters are okay but there's a dime a dozen of these slice of life high school anime and this isn't interesting or special art style is whatever. characters are well designed tho i can't give you any opinions about the characters because i don't know much about them. they could've atleast completed each character's arc. sometimes funny? can't give you a reason to watch this over literally any other anime. felt like the plot didn't really develop. like it was there in the background but it only unfolds in the last 2 episodes. whole story felt rushed.

This isn't your typical high school romance, but if you are here just for these, you will get what you want and a lot more. At first, I thought it was just a typical romance, and the writer completely forgot about the time travel aspect. But then the second half hits, and you are more and more engaged with each episode until the culmination and amazing cinematography of the last three episodes. Not to say the drama aspect isn't done well, in fact, it's done very, very well in my opinion. Keeping you in suspense half of the time, making you love each of the characters with every episode, the other half, while also throwing in fun and probably very relatable moments. It makes for a perfect mix of tension, excitement and fun. - Story 8/10, could have been a bit better by throwing a bit mor…

Found this anime when searching for a new romance one to watch. I thought it would be the typical school romance kind of anime (which I do also watch and am not totally against), but it isn't at all. At first, I wasn't a fan of the fantasy/magic aspect of the show, with fantasy/isekai (this is not isekai) being my least favorite, but it works for this show. I've not felt such strong emotions when watching an anime in a long time. I can't reconcile the bittersweet feelings - so so sad that the ending is pretty much conclusive, and there won't be more. It's a little slower, but give this one a chance!

I usually drop such animes because high school rom are not my type and I dont want to be critical on something i genuinely am not interested on. But this anime... I thought it is something deep than your typical hs rom.. boy I was wrong The 1st half of the series was okayish at the least but the 2nd half is just rushed cliche plot points without much development. as for other aspects of this anime, the one that actually bought me were the visuals but, apart from the 1st episode and Yuito's art adaptations the animation is pretty standard, actually it tends to get goody at times too, the characters look crazy bad music is not as memorable I highly recommend on skipping this one, 4 rating because of the innocent bunny girl

The World in Colours has a great depiction of a sad & self-isolated or depressed individual however she overstays her welcome with repetitive dialogue and conversations that consist of the word colours alongside grunts & gasps. These dialogue decisions make sense given her personality & circumstances but entertainment wise, it flops & stagnates until arond episode 9. If you’re looking for romance, I don’t think that I can recommend this title as it is not the main focus & only a contributing factor to the story of the main character’s growth much like the magic system. The actual romance segments can also be contrived or simply lacking follow up or reasoning. The story is kick-started by time travel without much setup or prior information and while the experiences shown throughout the…

I don't think this anime was bad. However, I found myself not enjoying it nearly as much as I expected to. On paper this anime seemed like it was right up my street. I watched a few videos on TikTok about it and it seemed like something I would be highly interested in so I checked it out. Whilst I don't think there was anything bad about it. I did find myself finding it boring a good chunk of the time. Let me start with the positives: The visuals were absolutely beautiful - I don't think anyone can disagree with me when I say the visuals were beautiful. The way the animators beautifully captured the world that Hitomi was seeing the rare times she was able to see colors was nothing short of fantastic. To me, it seemed like they were trying to portray how Hitomi wants to see colors and I…

tl;dr: A film with a few interesting aspects and great art in some respects but overall really weak writing. Iroduku is an anime that has a very busy beginning. It’s starts out in the future so it has a bit of sci-fi going on. However, the protagonist Hitomi and her grandma are mages who can use magic, which her grandma suddenly uses to send Hitomi 60 years into the past. Hitomi suddenly appears in the middle of someone’s room and has to sneak out, leading to a strange misunderstanding in the process. And to top it all off, Hitomi is fully colorblind, meaning she sees in monochrome, as a result of some sort of emotional trauma. I really liked how it just threw so much at you all at once and thus I found the start of the anime to have quite a lot of promise. However, as it progresses it s…

Color not only makes the world more beautiful but also expresses one’s innermost emotions. As Henri Matisse stated- “Color helps to express light—not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists”, from which he clearly refers color as the mechanism through which abstract internal processes and emotions are realized. Such can also be said for a series named Iroduku: The World in Colors (いろずく せかい の あした から Or Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara) (2018). This series showed the story of Tsukishiro Hitomi, a young mage who lost her sense of colors despite being ingrained with kaleidoscopic magic. On a night as monochrome as usual, amidst the fireworks spreading across the sky, her grandmother Tsukishiro Kohaku sent her sixty years back in time in order to find her true purpose. This…

"You can cross it" Irodoku is a very good show followed by possibly a beautiful, conclusive, thematic masterpiece of an ending Storywise, a cool premise. Time travel never goes well but this show used it as a plot device very well. It made the bittersweet finale pack the punch it did seeing everyone (mostly) in the future Its Pa works, I expect greatness. The color palletes in particular are just excellent. The fish scenes which I assume to be a staple of the studio carry a large emotional weight The osts were alright, not too special. However, the ed and opening fit the tone very well. Im a massive sucker for when the show plays the second half of the opening in particular, so when that played; A virbrant cast of characters; all recieving at least one episode to shine. The side characters…

Not the best anime out there and in all honesty it's more of a girls drawn out slow romance which doesn't really have any romance until more than halfway through the anime making it more about memories made with the mc's grandmother from 60 years in the past. The love polygon theme there was very little of and wouldn't even consider it being in the anime or being even a small part of it. So if anything this anime didn't manage to keep me occupied due to the very slow pacing and how the majority of it was slice of boring everyday life for the mc being part of the photography club until life made her return to the future with the romance being very lackluster and pointless.

I don't understand why some people say there's no plot. The plot is simple: Hitomi was sent to the past. With an emphasis on " was sent". The anime revolves around why Hitomi was sent to the past and what was in the past at all. It's simple, yet beautifully executed through vibrant imagery, colorful slice of life scenes, emotional moments, bits of lore, and lukewarm romance. I'd say Episode 10 starts off as epic and really gave that strong goosebump. Episode 11 started with scenes that left me on the edge of my seat and ended in the most romantic way possible for the anime's theme and premise. The finale is definitely fantastic and emotionally powerful. It's also nice that the end isn't vague, giving you a sense of closure and satisfaction. I really hate it when an anime tries to give tha…

I really liked this one. For my tastes it is a solid 9, but i guess overall it is 7~8. Although it doesn't have anything that makes it a masterpiece, it is still a really solid story. I like how original it is, because of all "timetravel to the past" shows, this one isn't like " re-do your life". The story is really well paced, and even though it is a little previsible, it is still enjoyable. The main concepts are also really interesting, as i've never seen a character that deals with a problem like not seeing colors in an anime before. Character wise, it is good. Unfortunately, some characters stand out, and others are never developed. Hitomi and Yuito are boring in the beginning, but they grow a lot through the episodes. Overall there isn't anyone that is annoying, and every action fro…

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara is a pretty straight forward show, even if it doesn't looks like that at first impresion as it tells us the story of Hitomi Tsukishiro, a young wizard aprendice that has lost the ability to see the colors of the world due a traumatic event in his life, and therefore she's been in a depresive state for ages. That's what this show is about: how we can heal our hearts and mind and keep going, this shows is about Hitomi beating his depresion both on his own and thanks to the help of others. Although this review is thought mostly as a brief analisis of Hitomi's character development, from this point onwards this review can contain some minor spoilers to the argument, so if you haven't seen the show and wants to do it I reccommend to stop reading here. Getting back…

What can I say? I loved this series. Highly recommended! The story is so beautiful, the characters, the plot, full of sincere feelings. I honestly felt really comfortable throughout the series. I got as attached as if I were the main character, not many series achieve that. It makes you reflect on aspects of your own life that one neglects oneself. I always value the story, its outcome, the message it wants to convey… And this series met all my expectations. It's been so long since I haven't found a gem like this one. It touched my heart. It made me so happy. Thank you very much to all those who made this series possible. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Irozuku Sekai no Ashita Kara! or Iroduku: The World In Colors. [SPOILER FREE] An anime that would really touch hearts especially if you would give more attention to what is happening to the story. If you're someone who dwells with your problems I think you can relate yourself to the story. You might also enjoy it. At some part, you might find it annoying because of the characteristics that the characters have but what I can say is maybe most of us would relate to the feelings and the decision-making of the characters. Moreover, It would be difficult to recommend this anime for people who are not into slice-of-life or romantic genre. Also, some people who have watched or read a lot of anime/manga that contains romance and slice of life may not enjoy this anime because they may have see…

Nice one here. I love very much the story. Maybe this one will be my best anime ever. I will never forget this one. The graphics and characters are very good, have a good impression. Overall, this anime is the best for me. The opening and ending songs are pleasant to hear. At the time of the farewell between Hitomi and Yuito, the song playing in the background was really good. enhancing the quality of this anime. Thank you so much to all the staff and directors who worked for the success of this anime. Continue your P.A Works efforts for a good anime in the future. I am waiting for you for the beautiful anime with a good story, I can't wait :).

At the time my review is being written is 2:15 am and I just completed the show. This show has got me passionately writing this review right after finishing it with tears stained across my face. I believe that iroduku is a very underrated anime that needs to be seen by people and experienced the way I have. This anime was full of amazing scenes and taught me personally the meaning of friendship, memories, and how precious time is. It's safe to say I came out a changed person after watching this. I'd say the character development for the main characters is some of the best I have seen in most anime and the pace of this anime just felt so perfect. I know I am that guy that puts almost every anime at a score of 10 but I truly wanted to write about how I felt watching this anime and why it mea…

I hope for an anime I watch to come haunt me day and night, to make me tear up to the point where my snot comes out, to give me a sense of satisfaction which I cant describe even if I try, and from the bottom of my hearts I'm very sure that this anime gave me everything I hoped from an anime. Even though the genre was fantasy, this anime felt even more realistic than the slice of life anime. The character build up was outstanding. I don't think i can stop if i start writing about the story. Even the intro song still stays in My mind. Even if there is magic, there is no 'Action'. This makes it unique and provides a satisfaction one of those 'hero' anime would not give you... Its definitely a roller coaster ride and i wont say that everyone would love this anime, but for me this is masterp…

If you like the typical (extremely) dense female leads that are pretty enough to catch the class's attention and have droopy eyes, a breathless voice, and also likes to run away in serious moments; this anime series is for you. I feel like this anime had a lot of great potential because I really enjoyed the first couple of episodes. Even the first episode, with the typical scenario which leads to a misunderstanding. However, after about halfway, it felt like I was watching the same thing happen in each episode. After this, it felt like I was just watching it for the sake of finishing it. To be honest, I kinda played around with the skip button just to reach the seemingly never-ending episodes. However, I have to admit that the end message was portrayed beautifully in the last episode (…
