I didn't like it. The anime is about a new guy, Kakeru, who transfers to a school and makes a group of friends. They notice that he's troubled and constantly try to cheer him up and support him. The anime focuses so much on this that it eventually becomes exhausting. And honestly? Kakeru often feels like he just wants attention and takes advantage of his friends' goodwill because he likes being pampered. He's basically an emotional energy vampire.
The story itself is interesting enough, but I found the way the characters dealt with Kakeru's problems frustrating and often unrealistic. The other characters constantly revolve around him, while Kakeru rarely feels like he takes responsibility for how much emotional energy he demands from everyone around him. I can see why people might enjoy t…

There were times i really wanted to drop the series but i finished it. I gave it a 6 becuse of the ending i hated it. Naho and Suwa had such a happy life and a kid. yet they still change the time life no thats sucks. I say Kakeru was selfish for what he did and they had nothing to regret they should have left thing how they ere and just forgot about him. Stayed toget and just been happy together as a family. That ending just makes my blood boil. I will say the art was very good. the engish voice actors where good.

Orange – Review (6/10)
NGL, my hopes were high after the first few episodes the setup was emotional, mysterious, and really drew me in. But as the series went on, it started to lose its grip. It didn’t hit me emotionally the way I expected. I thought it was going to wreck me, but by the end, I didn’t even feel close to crying. Some episodes felt slow and dragged out, and I actually got bored at points.
🧠 Story & Concept
The premise is super interesting getting a letter from your future self to help prevent a tragedy is a really unique and emotional setup. It mixes slice-of-life with time travel and regret, which should be a strong combo. But while the concept is great, the execution starts to fall flat. The time-travel/parallel universe logic is very vague and underdeveloped. It’s not…

The show has a good premise and a good plot but you will beat your head against a wall with how stupid the main character is. It just seems like so many problems in the show could have just been avoided if the MC wasn't so dumb and awkward. It would be different if it was a comedy and she was just dense, but the whole point of the show is to not let their friend die and she does all the things she can to make him want to kill himself. That in its self is actually quite comical. Other than that its an original story that most people will probably enjoy. You understand everyones feelings from the start so its hard not to expect the characters to make the right choices.

Orange opens a story built on regret, memory, and the fragile hope that the future can still be changed. The narrative combines a quiet high school setting with a subtle element of science fiction, yet the emotional focus remains deeply human. Without presenting time travel as an adventurous device, the story treats it as a reflection of guilt and the desire to correct choices that once seemed insignificant. The story follows Naho Takamiya, a shy high school girl living in the quiet city of Matsumoto. One morning, Naho receives a letter written by a future version of herself. The message contains detailed descriptions of events that will happen throughout the day, along with warnings about decisions that future Naho deeply regrets. At first the letter feels impossible to believe, yet the p…

This anime is absolutely incredible. Romance, with a heart-murdering mental health struggle that would make the coldest person bawl. Similar to stories like A Silent Voice, so if you liked that, you will probably like this.
The biggest issue many people have with romance anime, is annoying character conflicts that could literally be solved if the characters weren't so dumb and stubborn. I am proud to say that Orange is nothing like that; every conflict is deep, nuanced, understandable, realistic, and easy to get invested into.
Every character is enjoyable to watch, with clear character motivations and reasons for their actions that were thoroughly explored, leaving no question as to why they did certain things.
The one flaw is the character of Kakeru. He is sometimes very repetitive, wit…

Anime is good, but manga is better. I could predict some of the events, the journey was still compelling because I enjoy character-driven dramas that explore friendship, grief, and redemption.
The art style suits the tone of the story well. It’s soft and delicate, which complements the emotional weight of the narrative. The backgrounds are beautiful and atmospheric, subtly reinforcing the mood of each scene. While it may not be the flashiest animation, it carries a quiet beauty that matches the gentle melancholy of the plot.
The characters are perhaps the strongest part of Orange. They are flawed and human. The pacing can be slow, and some emotional beats are repeated a little too often. Still, the emotional message and focus on mental health are important and well-delivered. It may not…

Oh my god wtf was this?
I really did not like the animation at some scenes it just became too funny like when he was crying but the story was kinda creative i kindof liked it but the guy was too annoying and was acting too much nonchalant i dont know why some animes just make the mcs too annoying, boring or dumb.
I am really not sure if anyone who is reading this review will agree with me or think the same.
It had too much overdramatic shit and was really something for what i was not looking for.
Below mid anime, creativity was top notch.

Until then Jaane!

maybe i would have enjoyed this show if the person they were trying so desperately to save wasnt such a piece of garbage. i love how they make it seem okay to let sadness and a single unfortunate event in your life justify every shitty thing that you do. it would have been nice to have seen any level of self reflection and logical thinking from that dumbass and lets throw in the unconditional love and support from the female lead too who has no sense of autonomy and constantly gets pushed around like a mop, that will surely make things better right? the only reason why its not getting a lower score is because most of the side-cast is actually well written and enjoyable to watch. other than that what a letdown

Orange: A Heartfelt Story of Regret & Second Chances 🍊💫
Orange is a beautifully emotional anime and manga that blends romance, drama, and a touch of sci-fi. Written by Ichigo Takano, it tells the story of Naho Takamiya, a high school girl who receives a letter from her future self, warning her about the regrets she must avoid—especially when it comes to a new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse.
Story & Themes
The plot explores friendship, love, and the weight of regret, making it deeply relatable. The sci-fi element of time travel is subtle but effective, serving as a tool to amplify the emotional stakes rather than dominate the story. If you’ve ever wished you could change the past, Orange will hit you right in the heart.
Art Style & Atmosphere
The soft, warm color palette and gentle cha…

Watch it!
It took me about 10 years to get around to watching this. For a very stupid reason... Orange is my least favourite colour, so somehow I avoided looking it up or even reading the premise, although I knew it existed.
About 5 minutes into the first episode I realised two things: that I should have watched it sooner, and that it was going to be excruciating.
After finishing it I can say there's absolutely nothing I would change about it. I guess it's a trait that sometimes surprises me in mangas, how some authors manage to deal with difficult and painful topics with such consideration.

In short: Go for it, but watch it with romance theme in mind, not time-travel.
Being a Time-Travel anime (it's in the genre so I don't think it's a spoiler) this anime sure has many plot-holes but, if you are expecting too much out of a Shoujo manga whose main theme is romance and not time-travel, then it's on you. Nevertheless, there was enough explanation so that it doesn't leave you hanging on this aspect.
The concept was somewhat new for me, which is a breath of fresh air and there were many elements that you can't see coming. Though it is cliché in places, but that much is ok. It does its part of delivering the romantic drama feels perfectly. The characters are memorable, you won't forget them like other 13-episode-anime characters.

I've been watching this show, and honestly, I'm torn about how I feel. On one hand, the main character really frustrates me—she makes some pretty foolish decisions, and it's hard to connect with her. The only reason I stuck with it initially was because of Higata and Suwa. They are such compelling characters, and their presence kept me engaged.
At first glance, the plot seemed intriguing. The idea of dealing with regrets and trying to change the past is fascinating. But when you dig deeper, it feels quite messed up. Pushing the burden of your regrets onto another version of yourself is pretty selfish. It's a heavy load of pressure and responsibility, and it doesn't seem fair. The whole concept raises some serious ethical questions about personal accountability and the nature of regret.

honestly maybe it was my mistake to think this would be another 12-13 episode hit anime that you randomly watch on a Friday midnight. Especially as a big fan of erased I am very disappointed.
Story : our protagonist, Naho gets a letter from her future self in order to save her crush who she meets on the day, who attempted suicide in the universe her future self lived in.
Now as much as that sounds promising, the execution was horrid.
Story
I feel the story wasn't too bad. There definitely could have been more relevant points as some parts just felt irrelevant and stupid. But I mostly blame this on the awful characters. I feel just like erased they should have left the time traveling thing unexplained. They went into too much detail and made it sound insanely stupid and it makes quite…

It was a good premise and I liked the first few episodes. So the premise here is there's this group of 2 guys & 3 girls and this new guy comes into class. Then our MC Naho gets a letter from her future self this new guy Kakeru is gonna turn down his own power button after a few months and she gets instructions on what to do to resolve the whole thing
So they build this up as a huge thing, but the execution was not that well. I enjoyed the first half of the anime, but they made some decisions midway through that made the anime kinda... boring I think. That's not a spoiler probably
I also really didn't like Kakeru he was such a whiny boy. And I get he's supposed to be that way and weak mentally, but it was just frustrating. Having said that I did like the way they kinda forced things to ha…

At the beginning it seemed like this would've been a bit too melodramatic for my taste, but man did how the story develope completely take me by surprise!
Intriguing, engaging, riveting, and last but not least emotional
What starts off as seemingly just another shoujo drama slowly builds up subtle layers going beyond the main themes of romance and loss. Pay close attention to these delicately placed details and you'll find an impeccable portrayal of psychological turmoil, the lasting effects a toxic relationship can have on one, and how having a good support system could potentially make all the difference
A must watch for anyone who is fascinated by the human mind and the human heart

I got interested in this anime because its manga is promising for Japanese learners. As of the 22nd of May 2023, its manga has a level 22 in difficulty in LearnNatively.com and this thread recommends it: https://www.reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese/comments/ij77ln/i_finally_finished_my_first_manga/
The anime covers 5 volumes, and perhaps the movie covers volumes 6 and 7. Considering this, I reckoned that this anime might have a decent enough pacing that other anime lack. Either they add fillers or they cut too much from the source material.
The question then is, is it worth watching the anime? I have mixed feelings.
The animation is mediocre and then deteriorates. I don't exactly mind this as the anime focuses on sensitive themes and the drama around it. But if you are too particular about…

in my opinion what makes an art good
It's either the emotion attachment or the story telling or the epic plot
Orange has mastered the emotion attachment for me of course the emotional attachment is relative it changes from a persona to another unlike the other 2
The emotions that was showed in this anime .. oh god the romance , the sadness , the confusion of choices , the guilt all of these makes the anime in my opinion a masterpiece that I won't experience such as. Truly remarkable anime one of its own
The charcters actions were just perfect to create that atmosphere which makes you more attached to the anime , you will feel what they feel , u will experience what they experienced its really reare to get a media like this
That art style was good I mean it's a shojo anime nothing fancy…

Such a wasted potential, it really had a good start, but unfortunately clichés were just overused. The story was promising, could've been amazing, but even as it was executed I'd still say it's good.
I'm not very pleased with the 2 main characters, I understand they have to be a bit oblivious so the story can happen, but when that's the only thing that moves things forward (or I should say just drags it all out) you feel disappointed given how good the plot was at the beginning. But I guess it's a shoujo afterall... Thankfully the side characters had more awareness and their storylines were a redeeming factor for me.
I really liked the art style, the characters were drawn really well.
--- LIGHT SPOILER ---
The main characters' love was really anticlimatic. As they were slowly getting c…

I enjoyed watching, but I would say it's probably not for everyone. So, overall:
- Good plot, it´s interesting, it makes you want to watch the next episode as soon as possible because you just can´t wait to see if the protagonist will be able to save her friend;
- It's a comforting show, in the way that it mixes sci-fi, through the time travelling thing, with school life and all the clichés that come along with it; however, it's not another cute high school romance, it talks about very deep and emotional topics, such as depression and suicide; plus, the animation is very pretty and it matches the atmosphere the anime exudes;
- The main message is very emotional and well portrayed, as we see how such minor things, that initially have no weight in one's life, can turn into huge reg…
