Back when I first watched this in like, Idk, 2012 or 2013? I regarded this show peak comedy because it had naughty words and mostly relied on nonsense and otaku humor.
Now that I have grown older and seen/read other raunchy comedy focused series I realized just how generic and annoying this series really is.
Despite the ridiculous premise, ridiculous episode scripts and overall ridiculous humor it seems that either the author and/or the studio behind it did not realize they were writing something ridiculous and have the fucking gall to try and have some seriousness mixed into it.
Now I originally wanted to put my ranking down to 5 or 6 for the few jokes I liked (as well the good(although generic) animation and art direction) but there are two problems that really made question how tf I…

MM! is outstanding. It's a terrific series, really. It is an universally aknowledged fact, or it should be. But it is already, since who you are today is not the same as who you were yesterday. Life is Becoming. Nietzsche knew this, Hegel knew this although in a different way since it was finalized somewhere, inscripted in the Spirit. . . and this series, MM! tells you this pretty well. Allow me to explain, commoner! (Citation needed).
The story sure looks lame. A boy has mental problems, on the verge of retardation, and so do his fellow partners. Specifically, this boy here likes it when you kick him in the balls. But as said, he's not the only feller quite on the slow side. For example, his best friend is gay, a classmate of his (exploited for some free fanservice) has been raped and a…

Sadly a typical pile of trash anime, making light of mental health and fetishes, for a poor attempt at humour. Most episodes don't really change much with the same repeated way of treating our MC, and it gets boring very quickly.
I am guessing is designed for people who love cut girls especially the pedo-ish, loli lovers out there. It's not quite a harem but has harem-ish elements with only 1 person really loving him for who he is, and that's the genius nerd girl.
It's your typical women beat MC for a cheap laugh like familiar of zero and other animes. So no originality, no great writing, and a horrible message for anyone with a kink, fetish, or interest sexually that's not the norm.
The writing is poor, the story could of been an interesting idea and the MC would of been dead in the re…

The only reason I decided to watch MM! in the first place was because of the fan service; I wasn’t expecting the series to actually be good at all. I’m not saying that it turned out to be a masterpiece or anything, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. The show is about a boy named Sado Tarou who has extreme masochism, and therefore attends this club that’s supposed to help people with their problems or “grant them a wish” so to speak. The club is run by Mio Isurugi (best girl), and Arashiko Yuuno also attends that club. Yuuno has androphobia, and usually ends up beating on males when coming into contact with them. The basic plot of the show is Mio trying to fix Tarou’s masochism using the most absurd methods you can think of, but Mio is often very harsh, and ends up turning on Tarou…

Another showdown on my series of cleaning out my on-hold list. This was probably on my list as back in my early days of watching anime anything that had a DBZ reference was neat. That said coming back after nearly a decade this is a real pain to watch and I am not just talking about the show's masochism.
If you are a masochist or maybe want to know more this is an excellent show but for everyone else, it's some flaming garbage. We follow some bland boy through his journey to cure his super masochism and the main girl is a sadist inflicting pain to cure it. Of course, there is a bevy of girls after the main guy's heart that each has their own fetish.
Of course, if you were hoping for any resolution to the romance like most of these kinds of shows it does not happen.
Of course, this al…

This one was surprising. Such a lewd expectation I had for it and I wasn't disappointed, yet the characters were great - there was also an unexpected amount of emotion in this anime. Definitely worth watching from start to finish!
The two main heroines are both equally likeable for their own reasons, and a masochistic protagonist isn't done nearly enough - Tarou is one of the more likeable Harem MCs I've seen in a long time.
If you're a masochist and enjoy women being perversely violent towards you, I think you'll love this in a non-sexual, purely comical way. Even if you're not, it's hilarious and emotional regardless.

I was expecting this anime to be a generic ok romantic comedy. But i was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it!
+I like how the MC is a masochist.
+The characters are fun and likable
+Solid wacky and zany humor that made me chuckle throughout
+Solid animation with pretty visual designs
+The emotions of the series are treated seriously
+Major props for Yuuno's backstory being treated with seriousness and respect
+A Tsundere main lead that isn't obnoxious -Sometimes the transitions to a dramatic scene then a comedic scene are pretty off
-Despite Mio being the main romantic interest- the series puts a lot more focus on the relationship with Sado and Yuuno.
Which I don't have too much of a problem with because Yuuno is my favorite of the girls and I rather have her end up wit…

Hey females and fella, first review I’m gonna attempt to write cause I’m bored and I need a reason to finish anime’s I keep delaying, and please don’t kill me over the grammar and chance’s of contradictions I’m honestly just typing this as I watch the show and jotting down the things I see and what not and in all honesty the grammar shit doesn’t matter as long as my point gets across thats all I honestly care about, so enjoy.
This anime is absolutely amazing as a comedy and strictly that, the girlies are cute as shit, art is beautifully bright but easy to look at and the whole super masochism thing I found myself laughing at more times than I can remember. But anything other than that it gets a meh score from me.
Story: There uh really isn’t one. It pretty much goes like this.
“Fix my pr…

this is so bad i had a mental breakdown at work while watching it because ive never seen something so awful. pathetic MC, terrible character development, the show is the living incarnation of failure. i hope you like DBZ jokes, yeah fucking DBZ jokes, TWICE, 2 different eps! holy moly, like amnesia episodes? WHO DOESNT? GREAT STORY!!!!!!!
the first 4 episodes were serviceable, then you get to episode 5, and oh boy i hope you are fucking ready. This show tries to be funny and fails miserably, and beyond episode 4 any shred meaningful character development is buried withing a mountain of stupid "jokes" that are shown E V E R Y E P I S O D E. SAME FUCKING JOKE, over and over again.....
nice meme
1/10 dont watch this garbage

MM! is the harrowing story of a man plagued by masochism who attempts to overcome his love of pain through the help of a girl two years older who runs a club that grants wishes. Together with this lovely female companion he embarks on an epic quest through the streets of Tokyo in an attempt to cure himself. Along the way he meets a girl who has a severe dislike for men and hits any man who touches her and they fall in love. It both touches your heart and warms your body with its realistic portrayals of masochism, androphobia, and human relationships.
No, I’m just screwing with you. You can only wish for an anime that good when watching this giant pile of mediocre donkey droppings. You may notice how lately I’ve been reviewing romantic comedies in the small hope I’ll find something with a…

So unforeseeable is the nature of life. Who would have thought this would be the show I'd write a review for? But here I am. There are some reasons for me doing this. First of all, this show is not well known compared to others in its genre. Secondly, I've finished it in such a short time that I think I just made a new record for myself. (Actually I still think I finished Hentai Ouji quicker but that show was meh). Thirdly, I like the characters in this one.
Well, let's get to the main part while we're on it. Why you may want to watch this show? The answer varies. There comes a night when you're supposed to do something but you cannot get your mind to it and find yourself looking for something interesting on the net instead. Unexpectedly, you come across a show that intrigues you because…

I have seen a fair share of harem anime, and I wonder why I still bother. They all follow a formula that barely would be entertaining if it was applied to just a single show, let alone a whole genre.
But this worn formula is what makes MM! so great. This anime follows the harem doctrine to the letter, but turns it up to eleven on all fronts. The whole cast sports some kind of perversion, the violence is out of control, the characters take the harem cliches to the extreme and the panty shots... oh, wait, there are none of those. Right.
Graphics are colourful, crisp and nice enough and the characters may look a bit too stereotypical with wild hairdos and -colours, but that's kind of the point. The music fits the hysterical theme of the show very well, even though it's far from good enough…

If you are reading this because you have not yet seen this anime and want to see if this is the right show for you then please keep in mind that this is my opinion which may be contrary to your's so please keep your own tastes in mind when reading this. If you have already seen this anime and are reading this then you are just along for the ride.
Also I don't normally like romantic comedy anime, so just I'm letting you know.
Story/Characters:
This anime starts out really strong, I mean it's interesting and it's really well written and has a compelling concept, if only it were all like that. A little more than half way through the series I feel like this anime kind of just gave up and stopped progressing and became a slice of life show that went fucking nowhere which is really sad conside…

I really like this kinda anime because i think its fun and enjoyable to watch.I thought the characters were pretty nice and i thought the pervyness on Taro Sado was funny. The story was pretty funny and suited my taste. But i wished there was more episodes to this anime.I really liked the relationship between mio and taro and i hoped they would be lovers and continue the episodes. When i watch an anime i eventually get connected to the characters and sometimes i hoped that i could be in that relationship.I get really disappointed if the show doesnt finish with a really good ending and i just get pissed like when i did in gurren lagann.I dont know why most animes are short and dont have a lot of episodes in it.

Sometimes an anime will get you by its title, such as the long titled ones like "Oreimo" (for short) or like the really short ones like MM!. Now if you ever read the synopsis and have seen the cover of this anime which is Mio in a maid uniform with a bat, then you know that this would be another typical harem genre anime with an annoying tsundere character. However if you stick around you might reconsider that conclusion like me.
Story: 7/10
The excuse plot of this anime is to cure Sado's masochism because it is starting to bother him. Thus he goes to ask his senior Mio for help and her brilliant idea is to torture him until he is cured which if you ask me, IS THE WORST IDEA EVER. The anime is divided by arc in which individual characters have a problem and they are solve by Mio and Sado…

This is my first review, so here goes.
MM! was a great anime. It had romance, tons of comedy and great characters. The main being a masochist, one being completely scared of men and a third thinking she's a god. What hilarity continues.
Story: 8/10
I found the story very fun and entertaining and since I am really into romance, that part of the anime makes it alot better in my eyes. It has great comedy and that is the main reason I really, really enjoyed this anime.
Art: 9/10 I love the art. Really nicely made and I find it really nice looking.
Sound: 9/10
I have no complaints about them. They fit very well and I didn't see anything wrong with them.
Characters: 9/10
I am not a real critic, so I can't really judge them that much. I found the characters fun and entertaining. I love…

~Multilingual review, English & Español: MM!~
Sadomasochism, Comedy and Romance are the keywords for this series. Considering the bad times I had with similar series featuring these same themes, I would actually say this was a show I should have definitely passed, even if everyone tells me that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover I'm not able to don’t give a first impression to something I haven't seen yet, I can't be helped. But since I'm a baka that doesn't learn from his previous errors I started this show anyway. Oh boy I did good...
In my opinion a successful romance doesn't resides only in its girls, since also the guy must be likeable, cool and funny. Many romances just focus on its girls leaving the guy with just a plain, lame and cliché setting, thinking that only the girls ar…

Having a problem is one thing and admitting it to people takes guts beyond what most people have. But to end up gaining friends also with problem but still treat you equally as everyone helps one another to get over their problem, is a whole new level of heartwarming life stories.
MM! is the story of one male Masochist character who decides he needs to get help for solving his masochism. The help he finds is certainly unexpected and what he learns about the other members of his newly joined club are just as unexpected as the plans they come up with to "help" one another. While nothing in terms of "curing" anyone really progresses, the story seems to be one of making good memories from school and attempt to solve the little issue in life before they never get a chance to later on.

The Story- MM! is a little anime that came out in 2010 by Studio Xebec that tells the story of a guy named Taro Sado trying to get rid of his masochistic ways so that he can confess to his love. His friend, Tatsukichi Hayama, recommends he goes to the second volunteer club so that they could cure his problem. When Taro visits the club, he meets Mio Isurugi, a very sweet girl too short for her size, at least that's what she seemed like at first. It was not only 5 seconds later that she showed her true colors, a blond hair tsundere who proclaims herself as god. Taro also meets Arashiko Yuno, a girl which has a phobia of men and is the reason Taro is a masochist in the first place.
The Review- Oh my f***ing god, this was the worst anime I ever watch this far. I mean the characters are one de…
