It was a hard watch, until I told myself to separate me from the media, “I am not the arts I am consuming, I shall not project, to only observe as a by-stander”. And it become easier to take it.
This part 2 is definitely a step-up in term of story-telling, environment building, characters development. The world is much more vast, the stakes are higher, and you faced moral questions which it tried to make you join one side and flip it to the other perspective and pull you to the other. I love that it explored other races and their traits, alongside with their lore into great details. I am now very interested in this magical world and how it will become.
It’s hard to give you reasons why I like it without spoilers, but few key moments I like is:
1. There were this “gambler” that was conve…

This is not as good of a show as some people seem to hype it as. Let's get the good out of the way. Yes, the first season has some decent world building, some interesting drama between Rudeus and his father, and is brought to life with great animation. In the first season he also is challenged quite a bit and doesn't yet feel like "cheat power isekai" slop. The girls other than Eris mostly feel like ensemble casting and not serious love interests at this point.
Now the criticism. Ultimately it is a story about a pedophile that whacked off to his own niece, was loathsome and disgusting in life, and after he dies he is given an undeserved second chance via isekai. Second chance to do what, you ask? Become a better person? Nope! A second chance to, for no good reason, be prodigiously special…

The 2nd part of the 1st season of Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu shows us more about of the already well-known adventurer party called “Dead End”, formed by Rudeus Greyrat, Eris Boreas and Ruijerd Superdia after the catastrophe named as "Teleporting Incident". This cour has improved a lot and is better done than the first part, but it still makes the same mistakes. Curious? Read my review for more.
Audiovisual: 9
The animation and scenario are impeccable as always and we got more OSTs than the previous cour (more of Yuiko Oohara's ethereal voice, amazing!), though I noticed more jaw-dropping scenes with some action packed here.
However, I will give it an 9 because there are even more unnecessary ecchi scenes when characters like Elinalise were introduced in the anime and becau…

Compared to the first season, this season made me completely fall in love with the anime and pushed me straight to read the light novel even before season 2 came out. Honestly, Mushoku Tensei is a step ahead of the vast majority of anime I've seen in terms of its word-building and character development. I also want to clarify something: there's a lot of criticism regarding the protagonist, and I can understand them... but you have to understand that Mushoku Tensei is a work that speaks to us about the imperfection of making mistakes and knowing how to get back up and live your life to the fullest. Rudeus is the perfect protagonist for a work that speaks to imperfection precisely because he himself knows he makes mistakes, he knows he's not the best model of a human being, but he demonstrat…

This anime skipped one beat (besides the bad title which stemmed my watching of this show initially). There was ONE single moment in this anime that I didn't like and besides that moment - this is a masterpiece. Score: 10 - 1 = 9
This show spans many years in just 23 episodes and yet the pacing felt absolutely perfect. All the arcs were tightly woven to form a single elegant piece of material with but one momentary fault/skipped stitch. Never to fast, never too slow - packed with beautiful action (the fighting is really good - there is not a lot of it which is always better but when they do fight it's proper) and terrifying romance. It's real, raw, heart felt, well written and kept me up until four in the morning with an 8am alarm looming.
The main character? Loathsome. He's a piece of…

Mushoku Tensei works with the concept of a hero reincarnating into a fantasy world, which is not exactly new in the anime genre, but it often works, and here it even works great! Why? The reason is simple, the series doesn't have a single weak episode in the entire series, the main plot is still moving, interesting ideas are coming up, remarkable characters diversify the journey, the whole story has a solid foundation, the action scenes also work, and overall, the show is magical with the skill of telling an impressive story. The work also doesn't hold back completely when it comes to brutality or more chaste themes - there are still clear boundaries, it never goes to extremes, it just sets the limit a little further than a regular "harmless" series - at the same time, it doesn't overdo an…

Amazing animation, fights, worldbuilding and even some of the characters however the main character IS A PEDOFILE Im not even joking or exaggerating it manages to be one of the best and worst shows of all time because how the writer goes about it. He borderline justifies it the reason my review is so high is because that is literally this shows only fault I can give it everything else is good but him being a literal pedofile just takes so much away from it I cant even feel bad for him anymore for anything that happens to him because he is a literal pedofile through and through I'm somewhat surprised it was even fully legal to make this because the children ARE sexualized and they are literally touched unconsentually by a 40 year old grown man, but instead of it being framed as insane or di…

I liked it, but something's bothering me. I'm writing about the entire first season.
The first four episodes are wonderful, fun, interesting, beautiful, and then, bam, everything goes off the rails and turns into total disaster. It's certainly original—to paint a picture of a wonderful village life and then flush it straight down the drain. But come on. if it's not one mess, it's another. First, noisy Eris, then the grand Magical Catastrophe, and after that, a long and agonizing journey, spiced with a certain predestination. Really? Like when Rudeus literally passes right by Roxy (beloved Roxy). Or when the Doldians show up during the beast-girls and the dog rescue. But oh, that was Gallus’s cunning plan. Only the timing was surprisingly precise—not a second too soon or too late. Yeah, su…

The second part of the first season completely captivated me. Everything I liked at the beginning is even better here—both narratively and visually.
Rudeus has ended up in an unreal part of the world with two companions. Together, the three try to return to their homeland. In the process, fate strikes again and again, sometimes mercilessly. The journey is not only physically challenging, but also emotionally intense – full of losses, surprises, and twists and turns.
I particularly liked the characters, their backstories, and the transformations they undergo. You can feel how they grow and change through their experiences. The emotional depth is much more noticeable than in the first part.
The animations and soundtrack continue to be of a high…

I have seen many isekai series over the years and most of them follow a pattern that makes them easy to forget. Mushoku Tensei Part 2 stands out because it does not just tell another fantasy adventure, it tells a deeply human story. After finishing all twelve episodes, I can honestly say this series has earned a permanent place in my heart.
What impressed me most is the growth of Rudeus. He begins as a broken person with a heavy past, yet by this stage of the story he feels transformed. The way he speaks, the determination in his actions, and even the look in his eyes show how much he has changed. Watching that evolution felt rewarding because it was not forced. It was gradual, believable, and emotional.
The relationship between Rudeus and Eris is another highlight. Their bond in this pa…

First Isekai anime I've watched.
I always enjoyed some casual anime, that is set in the modern times, and despised the idea of watching isekai. So after long time i decided to write this review while listening to the op music of this anime.
Pros:
After watching more and more of anime, i really got a feel that the animation quality went downhill and only most popular anime like Solo Leveling have top tier animation, but oh boy, it is so good that it gives me chills, i would mostly watch how animators take away some problems by hiding the peoples mouth as they speak or not show any motion, of course, it's not the animators fault, but this was a huge refresher. Next are the openings (and sometimes endings) of each episode is really really well made, I turned off the instantly skip Intro/Out…

I liked the second part of Mushoku Tensei.
There are many controversies surrounding this season or the anime as a whole, but I honestly don’t care. Yes, some people might take bad influences from it, but I don’t think I’ll be taking anything other than life lessons from any visual media, whether it’s an anime or a film.
The overall aesthetic of Mushoku Tensei is truly one of a kind. It somehow feels very soothing, like listening to a lo-fi beat. Sure, it occasionally gets a little cringe (and creepy), but overall, I have to say the writing is top notch.
We haven’t seen any major plot twists yet, but I’m satisfied with how the story is progressing. Not everything needs to be one-dimensional. Rudy and the rest of the cast are really fun to watch but for some reason, I like Ruijerd the mos…

Is the story unique?
Yes—more so than Part 1. The journey post-teleportation explores survival, trauma, and leadership in ways few isekai do.
Was it predictable, and did it still work?
It subverted expectations, especially with Eris’s farewell and the Orsted encounter. The emotional beats land even when the direction is guessable.
Art Style Fit?
Still stunning. Animation during battle and tense moments improves even more. The moodier palette reflects the darker arc.
Were the characters well-rounded? Even better than Part 1. Eris matures significantly. Rudeus’s suffering and moments of helplessness are powerful. New characters like Ruijerd bring strong morality themes.
Did they react realistically?
Yes. The trauma of being displaced, loss, and the breakup feel genuine. Rudeus’s depressi…

This anime EASILY peaks here, back to back adventure, action and wonder across different fantasy locales introducing all these characters etc etc. I would recommend just watching season 1, the first arc of season 2 (sara adventure) then dropping Mushoku Tensei altogether. After that, this series seems devolves into a depressingly drab wish fulfilment slice of life with meagre tidbits of adventure sprinkled throughout. I read up to like the Asura conflict and damn what a disappointment of an arc like Rudeus was just chilling getting carried through every threat no tension whatsoever.
As for Rudeus he’s good in season 1 but sadly becomes a Gary Stu who never struggles and is liked by everyone in the long run. Speaking of which, yes he’s a complete nonce. It is what it is who cares. And YIKE…

To keep this brief, I will not delve too much into the particulars of the actual show, rather just attempt to give an outline of both the problematic and positive aspects of the show. This review will additionally serve as a review for the first season since they are essentially a single split season.
The clear problem with this show is that it sexualizes the underage characters, and if you are uncomfortable with any scenes of such, which probably disqualifies this show for some people (reasonably), then you should steer clear. However it is important to delineate the difference between fictional stories and the problematic behaviors that some people in a fanbase may engage with, so if you do not have issue with looking away at the lolicon scenes then I recommend this show tentatively. De…

The best of the series so far. Controversial because of the MC however the story is about redemption, personal growth, regret, overcoming trauma, consequences of actions, identity, and purpose. Simply putting it down because the MC reflects the point of the show is stupid. Anything involving reincarnation has always been touchy due to the nature of it. Its a story of life and growth; is rudeus supposed to get with a 35 year-old when hes very clearly a child? no that is idiotic and would be even more weird. Is he supposed to have 0 love interests in a story about his life and personal growth? no that would make no sense.
Part 2 stand out as a 10 and above the rest as it excels in organic world-building, making its world feel alive through different cultures, languages, and historical confli…

God damn they are on a roll ! This anime keeps gettin better and better . Honestly, i'd prefer a tad more fighting, but even so, there's still plenty, and the plot's forming up real nice. Moving along multiple continents, at some point in this season Rudeus reunites with the worst character in this Anime, his father Paul. Also, to go on a bit of a rant , i've noticed something, maybe it's just me, but isn't it ironic how the people hating on rudeus resemble the people in his highschool years? Maybe i discovered a hidden message integrated in this amazingly well paced story. Or maybe i am looking too much into things.
Thing is, i never thought i'd feel really positive about Eris the first time they introduced her and all,but she's easily the best character around, and it's gonna be real har…

Here we begin with this adventure arc that is actually much more interesting than many others seen in the anime, they show us a beautiful world with different cities and also landscapes that are quite beautiful in my opinion, without a doubt I think they surpassed themselves by showing us all this and how the story progresses is very interesting.
The mysteries are solved little by little and the unknowns that were in the air that although they were not so relevant were also being solved.
Without a doubt it is a great continuation of this season that gives us the classic as an adventure with a dose of history that also makes us appreciate how everything progresses.
Another important point is the animation that progressed beautifully I feel that it was maintained and in some times i…

People talk about the perversion of this show like it actually matters, dude its a fantasy get over it, you wanna know what I care about? The story, the character development, the pacing, the growth, which all are non existent, if the writers spent half as much time invested in actually making Rudy grow and learn as they did with world development and other characters maybe this show would actually be as good as people make it out to be, Mushoku Tensei is super overrated and it is likely because of how ecchi it is and because so many people relate to how much of a perverted pessimist Rudy is.
