The classic romance anime that defined its era.
For a long time, Nisekoi was a major name in the romance anime world. When it was first released, it was practically impossible to discuss popular romance series without someone mentioning *Nisekoi*. While it has since been overshadowed by other titles that garnered more attention, that doesn't erase the series' significance or the affection many fans still hold for it.
Nisekoi is the quintessential romance anime: the characters are painfully shy about admitting their feelings, there is an absurd number of misunderstandings, and the romantic progression takes an eternity to unfold. It follows a classic style within the genre, especially in romantic comedies and harem series, and this show is no exception. The second season sticks to the est…

[Not marked as spoiler since nothing is explicitly revealed, but I do complain about the ending and the general vague direction of the series which could maybe be taken as a spoiler, so read at your own discretion]
The first season was pretty good, nothing special but it was a good watch. There were issues with lack of balanced character development and the plot felt like it was just staying stagnant, but I could for the most part overlook those issues given that the comedy was decent and it was nonetheless fun to watch. And besides, there was a second season, surely they would tie up the stagnant plot and bring it all to a fitting end, right?
Nope. Nuh uh. Nooo.
The plot in the second season isn't just stagnant, its practically non existent. Nothing happens, and I mean that literally…

I don't know what to say exactly season 1st was a treat but 2nd season dissapointed a lot .
Interactions b/w characters turned into a awkward comedy which i usally dislike . Cringe and confysuing comedy is good for a while but if it continues whole season it's not worth it . Author really ruined a good genric comedy into a donekey ass .
If you watching with hopes like it will be a banger same like season 1st then , sorry to say you will be dissapointed 90% ( 10 % still like this and recommend ) .
In my opinion you should avoid watching this season atleast you won't curse nisekoi . Sometimes whole show get hates because of some bad eps or a bad sequeal and i have mix feelings so, it's up to you wheather to watch or not .

If you enjoyed season one great you probably won’t enjoy this honestly after all the praise I gave season one this was such a letdown
this season is completely different to the first there is no mention of the Lockett story. It’s just a high school romcom with hardly any plot with the same character in season one. I would’ve liked to have seen who had the key, but it doesn’t tell you you’re gonna have to google it.
That being said, keep a bit of the comedy the characters are still as good as season one it’s just the story never got the conclusion and I don’t know why honestly the only reason I kept watching was because I’d liked the characters and I liked season one
Overall personally, I only watched it because I liked the characters in the first season, but if you’re expecting season o…

While I think the phrase "fell off" is somewhat overused, it unfortunately does perfectly describe Nisekoi.
Season 1 of Nisekoi, while not particularly original, did everything right: establish the premise, introduce all relevant characters, throw them into the typical rom-com situations, and explore the main plot mystery a bit while advancing the relationships, with a big shift in the grand finale. lots of well-timed humor, lots of doki-doki moments. and while nothing stood out as particularly interesting, the manga executed it all more than competently, and Shaft's anime adaption only futher elevates it into solid 8/10 territory.
Unfortunaley, the material for Season 1 was the best the manga had to offer, and that's where the "fell off" part comes into play. after the big Romeo and Jul…

It's such powerful punch to pass trough the ep 12 and hit next and.. wow! surprisingly there is nothing more there... that was the END?
It's totally truncated, knowing that probably was an ongoing source at the moment, and difficult to work with, i mean, it's shonen jump, but... that was really bad.
I don't know what to do with this score honestly, because, the adaptation, what shaft did with this, it was actually good, period.
It's a power shortage kind of ending.
Oh almost forgot about this, if you notice the oddity of Kosaki's imouto just spawning out of nothing into the show, it's because of the rolling waifu release of the source material. That gives you an appropriate snapshot of.... you know...

I can't believe a season was so bad it made me read the manga
Comparing this season to the first season, it just doesn't matchup at all
It feels like a 12 episode filler with barely any regards to continuity, and although some scenes were enjoyable, most of it felt off and it wasn't any better than the first season, which was ok I guess.
However one positive thing I can remember at least is that depending on which character you want to win, this season gave them all lots of screen time in random-ish plots but then again there wasn't that much development behind it.
Watch it if you want, but it was kinda mediocre to say the least.

Nisekoi: sadly did not live up to my expectations after a fantastic first season. Season 1 was really special in terms of character moments and development, but sadly this season really did not have a lot of that outside of the Chitoge focused episodes which I absolutely adored and definitely lived up to my hype. Frankly most of this season felt like filler, there was essentially no progression throughout the whole thing and at times I found myself a bit bored due to nothing of any real substance taking place, which is very disappointing. The Nisekoi charm is definitely still there but that can only do so much when the insanely interesting relationships and characters introduced in season 1 don't have any time to shine or any real focus applied to them, which is a shame as I was really rea…

*This is a review of both seasons
Nisekoi is the most “harem anime” ever. Other than the really ecchi troupes, you can find 90% of all shounen romance troupes in this show. They have just about every stock romance you can have other than incest, and the characters develop in the most expected way possible. Despite that, this anime isn’t actually that bad. Despite being predictable and including all the cliche, they somehow do it in a way that is entertaining and enjoyable. Onodera and Chitoge are developed just enough for me to care about them, and Ichijou Raku is an actual decent protagonist that I liked for like the first time ever in any harem anime I have watched. It is really stupid at points with super unrealistic situations, but that helps some of the humor come through as it remin…

What a wack season. I sunk way to much time into this series to have zero resolution. Honestly I was super stoked to see it wrap up or progress in some way, but this felt like the middle setup book in a trilogy. How you gonna make the locket, the key focus, not even a focus. Not even side character level involvement.
Oh word MAL wants more written here? Alright cool cool. The lead was denser than Tokyo. Anymore blushies from people and the whole screen would be red. We get Onodera's little sister. Cool I guess? The tall chick with blue hair is present but adds little to nothing to the show. Shu has an episode around him, revealing that his not a cat role playing a human.
I am a dude and get we can be dense around hints from crushes or whatever. But cmon now. I cannot believe this season.…

From what I heard Niskeoi: is just filler of a season but I did quite enjoy it. The animation was really smooth and you could notice the polished feel when compared to the first season.
Chitoge and Onodera really steal the show as always but I think they really gave good development to some of the other girls in the group. I especially felt more background on Tsugumi was needed and she became a favorite of mine.
The story really isn't groundbreaking or extremely innovative because of the episodic nature of the second season. That being said, after getting all the classic slice of life tropes out of the way there was a resounding improvement in pace and linear character development. The edition of Onodera's little sister Haru was also a good grounding in the reality of Raku's situation.…

This was a amazing romcom anime to watch. Not the best but it is up there. For this review I will discuss both seasons for Nisekoi. First and foremost it is an Harem anime at first but it does not feel like a generic. To be honest the amount of romance excitement I get from this anime is absurd. I felt a really good nostalgic feeling of what is was like watching a simple down to earth romcom anime where it was all about choosing one girl. It didn't feel generic, I got doki doki feelings from it, and all the characters in the story were so cute and wholesome. Watching this anime made me feel alive again.
The plot in this anime was ok. In the first season it had a really unique and intriguing basis. It is just after that things started to slow down and that the plot wasn't really progressin…

"Nisekoi:" is the second season of Nisekoi, a romcom produced by Shaft, the same studio of other series as 3-Gatsu no lion and the acclaimed Monogatari series, what does that mean? We'll look into it. Spoilers ahead!
Nisekoi: follows the steps of its first season showing us the development of our main love triangle relationship between Ichijou, Kirisaki and Onodera, or that's what we'd expect after first season's overall great ending. But, contrary to what we'd expect, in this season, everything looks stagnant and some episodes even looks like filler ones, the pace is weird and introduction of new characters totally ruin the mood.
Shaft's excellent storytelling and visual narrative that excels in Nisekoi first season almost as much as it does in Monogatari series it's nowhere to be seen…

To be honest it's hard to give this season of Nisekoi a bad rating - *SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON* - not much really changed from the first season which was pretty good in my opinion, so giving it a bad score seems unfair. But that's my issue, nothing changed.
It didn't progress the plot or characters, considering the first season's development for characters like Chitoge and how she by the end fell in love with Raku, the second was completely stagnant. Even the introduction of new character's like Chitoge's mum and the little assassin girl (cant remember her name cos she was in for like 2 episodes) was just used to emphasis already established idea's in the story, like how Raku is a really nice guy and Tsugumi secretly likes Raku.
Everything else was just the same as the first season -…

The anime disappointed me, I thought it was going to close the story, see who the protagonist was going to stay with but nothing like that happens. Instead we have 12 chapters that lengthen the series for nothing. The only good chapter is the first of the season, where it seems that they are going to change the narrative but they don't. That disappointed me a lot. The truth this second season is pure disappointment. The animation is maintained, new characters appear with good designs, the soundtrack accompanies. But there is nothing that makes me recommend you to watch this anime.
En español:
El anime me decepciono, pensaba que iba a cerra la historia, ver con quien se iba a quedar el protagonista pero no pasa nada de eso. En vez de eso tenemos 12 capitulos que alargan la serie para na…

I mean...WHAT CAN I SAY TO THIS?? What. Can I say. To this second season. After what was actually a quite good first season, Shaft just took a massive dump during the production of the second season and they left it at that. I guess that Monogatari franchise money was too good to pass up so they just didn't pull any admirable effort on this one. Now that the manga is long finished, they can't even capitalize on any salvagable hype if they ARE gonna make a third season. Good fucking luck with that.
Nisekoi: was a clear and concise 101 for any anime studios and directors out there on how not to do a second season, and it's not hard to see why. It all boils down to two main aspects...
Story - 3/10....Shaft took all the stories they managed to get from the first…

My biggest issue with the second season is that the story progresses absolutely nowhere. It's all of the in- between filler that's supposed to be cute and funny, but when the plot seemingly moves backwards.. Just get on with it. Please.
This show is pretty good all said and done, even if some of the tropes are off-putting like overreactions followed by violence. Art is pretty good, so is voice acting. The first season was much better with the overarching and episodic storytelling.
Characters are flushed out a bit more, but it doesn't really go anywhere; just more reinforcing the history and traits they already have.
Season 1 is dope. Season 2 is nope. Idk if there's a S3 in the works, but you could literally skip the 2nd season and miss absolutely nothing. This should have been a 6ep OV…

Nisekoi is getting worse and worse.
In the first season of Nisekoi, you were able to see how unoriginal anime can be, and like I already said, It's getting worse. Relationships between characters have zero progress as well as the story.
Story: 3/10
The plot in Nisekoi is actually very poor so I can't write much about it. In the show we can see zero story progress throughout the whole season. Nearly every episode felt like some side story OVA. lol.
Art: 7/10
The art is kinda nice, but nothing special. Sound: 5/10
Opening and ending were nothing memorable.

This will be a review of the series as a whole, as i've already watched the 2 seasons and the OVA's.
So... A LOT of cliche stuff. This ended up ruining a bit of the experience for me. Also, a lot of unnecessary girls around 1 guy only so you know what i mean... Harem bulls*** where almost all girls fall for 1 regular guy just because. Also, some of the most annoying conversations i've ever seen where you could just be honest and go directly to the point but no, they just drag it for episodes and even seasons, and end up never saying the truly important stuff hence progressing on the story, it gets really tiring after a while... Despite this, i still had some enjoyment and liked some of the characters (Go Honodera!). I was loving this series in the beginning, but the last season got kinda…

Nothing. Absolutely no plot development whatsoever. This entire season was like an OVA because you're expecting progression from the first season - but nope. You don't find anything out and somehow every single episode is a filler episode. Sure, it isn't necessarily a bad series, but this season was VERY disappointing and underwhelming, especially after that first season. Every episode felt dragged out too.
I can't tell if the first season was animated this badly or if they had a step down in quality. Honestly, if you pause an episode at any point with a character on screen, they were pulling a weird face or had an eye facing the wrong way. Accompanied by that, there is very rarely a scene with more than one character moving at a time, and it is like the characters are talking to statues…
