Nodame Cantabile

Nodame Cantabile

Introduction

Shinichi Chiaki is a first class musician whose dream is to play among the elites in Europe. Coming from a distinguished family, he is an infamous perfectionist—not only is he highly critical of himself, but of others as well. The only thing stopping Shinichi from leaving for Europe is his fear of flying. As a result, he's grounded in Japan. During his fourth year at Japan's top music university, Shinichi happens to meet Megumi Noda or, as she refers to herself, Nodame. On the surface, she seems to be an unkempt girl with no direction in life. However, when Shinichi hears Nodame play the piano for the first time, he is in awe of the kind of music she creates. Nevertheless, Shinichi is dismayed to discover that Nodame is his neighbor, and worse, she ends up falling head over heels in love with him. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Straightforward: The characters are fun and written good they feel like actual human beings besides their funny sides to nail comedy part, story is very good, theme is classic music and yes its a sports anime but its better than newer examples the pacing is so much better it really felt like the story and characters were moving forward with their lifes. But theres big problem that really brings it down to 8/10. Their budget was not enough to make it perfect but if they had the right budget Im sure it would've been a masterpiece even better than shigatsu wa kimi no uso well they are diffrent this anime is longer and its only the first season yet it felt better than shigatsu wa kimi no uso in every way besides the music and visuals/art End: I think everybody that likes classic music should…

Classical music is often associated with discipline, structure, and technical perfection. Nodame Cantabile begins by completely dismantling that image. The series starts in a place that feels almost chaotic. A messy apartment, strange noises from a piano played with reckless enthusiasm, and a girl who seems to live completely outside the rules of order and discipline. At first sight, the series looks like it might simply be a quirky comedy about eccentric music students. But as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that beneath the absurd humor lies a thoughtful exploration of talent, fear, ambition, and the complicated ways people grow when they encounter someone completely different from themselves. The story centers on Shinichi Chiaki, a perfectionist aspiring conductor who dreams of stud…

Nodame Cantabile is ultimately a story about what it means to dedicate yourself to something - and what that dedication actually costs. At its core, the series is obsessed with personal development. No matter how talented you are, someone else is always better, more disciplined, more technically refined. The anime doesn’t romanticize genius as effortless. Improvement comes from repetition, frustration, and the slow humiliation of realizing your limits. Talent might get you noticed, but dedication is what decides how far you go. This theme plays out most clearly through each character’s contrasting approaches to music. For some, classical performance is rigid and hierarchical, a constant comparison against peers and predecessors. For others, it’s intuitive, emotional, even messy. Nodame C…

Nodame Cantabile is a musical slice-of-life comedy that completely hooked me. I ended up binge-watching the whole thing in about a week without even meaning to. The music is easily one of the best parts of the show. The OST, openings, and endings all fit perfectly and always left me feeling satisfied after each episode. Since music is such a huge focus of the series, it’s great that it’s handled so well overall. The characters also have amazing chemistry, and everyone has their own distinct personality. Nodame herself is especially likable—she’s goofy, funny, and adorable without ever crossing into being annoying, which is honestly impressive. The only character I really couldn’t stand was Stresemann. His over-the-top, obnoxious behavior often dragged things down for me, and I genuinely…

It is a lovely story. The main theme is that through the anime is that through the power of love, we can conquer all. The love that Shinichi and Nodame have for each other helps them grow as people and in their craft, and this is truly heartwarming to see. They both have their flaws, but they fall for each other, and this leads to many positive changes in their lives. They slowly overcome their flaws through help from each other and become better people. Apart from this, there is the running theme of trying to realize one's ambition. There is an entire array of interesting side-characters who have their own stories and goals, which are interesting to follow and add more depth to the story. Even though a lot of the events are unrealistic and their stories and development are pretty honest a…

hmph here we go,, imma write my first ever review on anime here. Nodame Cantabille is not ur typical Romance, Drama, Comedy anime that u can ever witnessed in ur daily life as an anime enjoyer. Personally overall this anime is up there with Clannad After Story, Fruit Basket Series, Oregairu, and a lot of top-tier romance anime out there. The story, the characterisation, soundtrack, life lesson, and ofc joyness of this anime is indescribable,, it had been a long long time for me to enjoy a Drama/Romance/Comedy anime in malife. Because i liked more manly genre like action, pshychological and etc. But for just a second i get to watch this BEAUTIFUL anime,, i started to LOVE it. Especially with the characters,, Noda Megumi easily become my top waifu list hahaha. Her recklessness, her weird…

This review will be also available in portuguese down below: Nodame Cantabile is so good that I even started to playing piano. I am not joking. This anime will make you laugh a lot (I mean a lot), and at same time, a lot of reflexions. The first one and most important: Ethic. What is "Ethic"? Well, It's nothing than a sequence of rules that establishes as an individual should behaviour himself in front of a social group or society. And Nodame contabile expose that with the main characters: Chiaki and Nodame. Chiaki is the principle of Ethic, almost an arquetype, he is a cultured person, of a high intelectual content, and very good behaviour (ethic) in front of the public (focus on "public", because this theme will be approached in another paragraph). Because of his culture, based in all…

Wished this anime was more popular!! (Spoilers) Similar to Your Lie In April this anime revolves around musicians and the classical music world which is amazing! I loved the playlist for this anime it’s what basically got me into the amazing world of classical music, anyway suffice it to say it’s a great introduction to classical music. The romance and the story for the this anime is also great and I enjoyed watching. I have no complaints and I just thoroughly enjoy this anime to the point I would rewatch this and that says a lot because personally a don’t really rewatch anything unless I really enjoyed it. I also love the characters like Nodame she like a hidden gem with the potential she has but doesn’t believe in herself all that much and really all she cares about in the begging is her…

If you like rom-com, feel-good, musical anime and anime where MCs pursue their goals and work hard,.. Then this is the perfect match. Just first episode has so much happening, while keeping up the humour and building towards a great music later. It doesn't keep it up all the way, however the enjoyment stays. There are better animes if you like sad stories, but for feel-happy work-hard this is one of the best. Would love to see more series like this. The characters are quite simple and don't change much, but still, my favourite musical anime. The stupidity of Nodame with combination of perfectionism of Chiaky is hilarious and feels nice.

Overall: This show was a huge letdown compared to its score. It is forgettable in every sense. Skip it. I have seen this show recommended as one of the better music animes, and it had a really impressive score here so I thought I would give it a chance. I've never been so disappointed. From start to finish it is entirely predictable, with one-dimensional characters that show almost no development whatsoever until the last few episodes. Its only redeeming quality is that it happens to be set in the world of classical music so the it has a great score. However, even that has its problems. Story (2/10) - Possibly the most predictable, unoriginal story I have ever experienced. Every single aspect of it is laid out in the first 10 minutes, and it never once deviates from that path. This isn't…

I watched Nodame Cantabile in about 3 days. I jumped into the show expecting to meet characters with dark pasts and a dramatic passion for instruments. And that is what I got, along with so much more! Nodame Cantabile is a comedic joyride, and not once in these 23 episodes did I feel bored or demotivated to keep watching. Our main protaganist, Chiaki, is a hard-nosed, good-looking, super talented musician that everyone seems to love. But from the beginning we can see that he has flaws just like the rest of us. His flaws, along with his dynamic with Nodame, make this show an absolute blast to watch. Story: Chiaki is an aspiring conductor who wants to go to Europe to perform, but cannot due to his fear of flying. But this baseline isn't really addressed (and when it is addressed it's muc…

In my opinion the best romance anime of all time, along with its sequels (sorry clananed). It focuses on the lives of our two protagonists Chiaki and Noda. One a structured perfectionist, the other a spontaneous creative, the story focuses on their romance while also making commentary on the dual often conflicting aspects of classical music, its rigid structure (embodied Shinichi Chiaki) and it's spontaneous and wild nature (embodied by Megumi Noda). Although the series can drag a tiny bit at times by the end of this, the Relationship Between the two characters is stronger than a simple Kiss and a promise that they hook up after it's over. They achieve an emotional intimacy that you don't see a lot of in romance anime and this is further developed in the sequels. overall I'd say give it…

Before watching Your Lie In April, I didn't ever have any interest in anime where the focal point was music. So, with how much I enjoyed that anime, I decided to give Nodame Cantabile a try. From the very first episode, I knew I was going to enjoy it. Story: As the story mostly revolves around Chiaki's amazing talent as a pianist, violinist, and ultimately his goal of becoming a conductor, I think it was really great to watch his development into the man he wants to become. Nodame, the woman with a wild style of playing the piano is the only person who seems capable of matching Chiaki, in her own way. The development of these two and the supporting characters in this story is very enjoyable. Art: The art is pretty good. There's nothing terrible about it, and the attention to detail on al…

This is the 3rd time I watch Nodame Cantabile and I still really enjoy watch this one. Besides let us to hear amazing classical compositions from Mozart, Schubert and so one this anime also shows you a beautiful love story of Noda Megumi and Chiaki Shinichi. At first you'll think that Nodame loves Chiaki first but actually Chiaki itself already attracted to Nodame since their first meeting. He get attracted by Nodame's piano sound which is sound like a "CANTABILE". But then without he realized it he start to care to here since he cleans up Nodame's place and even wash her hair. I watch this anime for the first time when it was first time aired and because of this anime I get motivated to learn classical piano. Its encourages me to learn more and more. Whenever I feel tired or want to g…

Nodame Cantabile, Nodame Cantabile Paris Hen, Nodame Cantabile Finale. Anime that has a musical theme as the main story, but many also funny and silly scene, because the main character is very funny. * Gyabo the theme of music in this anime is told nicely, because the weakness of playing music Nodame the longer the better in music. and make the music in this anime more pronounced, because Nodame's exciting struggle. music themes are also getting stronger with the story of learning to get abroad, and also try directly to the world of music professionals. but unfortunately the theme of romance is not as good as the theme of music, the romance scene in this anime is actually quite a lot, but I do not feel the romance scene that touches at all. probably because the silly and funny Nodame ch…

"The indications of the maestro, should be subtle and at the same time great." - Chiaki Nodame Cantabile can be summed up in the above phrase: simple and great. In addition to a romantic comedy, it's a story about music and people. It´s how wonderful this art can act in someone's life. This is what the work is all about. A good story with good characters wrapped in classical music. Soundtracks go without saying. Do I need to quote the geniuses of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Chopin and other masters of music? Another point that deserves attention is the realism of the anime regarding the life of a musician. The difficulties, the study, the dream of a career. All very well addressed during the course of the story. Even cartoon comedy works well here. The discipline of Chiaki and the spontaneit…

First impression of the anime is an arrogant character with a monkey tailing him confessing her love all over but as you get past that the beautiful music comes to light with a nice story and outshines all the annoyance. The story is well made although in some ways it might feel like you have to go over the first wall and go through some episodes before you get the real feel for it. At least that was how i felt as i watched it. It has a good pace and doesn't try to drag something too long but at the same time it doesn't try to rush things that shouldn't be rushed. Combined with the rich musical story that comes through as you hear about different pieces it makes you enjoy it even more. The story makes you want to know how far everything can get and makes you want to listen to the next pi…

First of all, I never write reviews. I read them religiously though so that I can avoid animes that are a waste of time. Today I am writing because I am so upset with the high ratings of this anime. This may be biased, but honestly, I was on a romance spree and I happened to find this anime in that "category". After reading reviews - I decided to give it a try (though I did not like the art style right off the bat). I adored "Your lie in April" though I am not a huge fan of musical animes, I bawled my eyes out for that one. It opened my horizons to the possibilities of music based anime. Sadly, this anime ruined it for me. If I wanted to watch an Orchestra online, I would go and do so. This was listening to classical music and seemingly recycled freeze frames of them playing over it.…

Nodame Cantabile review (mild spoilers) The Plot: The plot is very weak because it's like picking up a comic where Batman is fighting the Joker and that's it, we know that Batman wants to stop the Joker and put him in Arkham but we don't know the full story and it's a little weak on it's own. What I Like: -The Animation, the animation is very good, I don't what to say other than "I like it" -The Use of Classical, sounds weird I know but hear me out, instead of making their own fully original soundtrack, they used classical music for setting the tone, wether for comedy or drama they use classical music which is good in an anime about classical music. -How it Revolves Around an Orchestra, it revolves around a whole orchestra and classical music as a whole not just one or two instruments. -…

How to describe the first season of this series? Well, if we go ahead and check my overall result, then it is a Good show. Now, normally, when pointed to make a review, anybody's initiative is to give the "essence" of the product. Somehow, trying to amuse the reader, without giving a full taste of it, or finding a strongly resourceful way to prove it is actually awful and, of course, during the whole experience, the reviewer didn't connect positively, so the same will happen to you. Still, the chance gets to anybody. Being said, there are reasons to love, like, or just show straight hate regarding this. Do you know the formula of most sports anime? Create interaction between characters, exhibiting how good the sport actually is by making it look complex through a series of challenges prese…
