Season 2 of One-Punch Man is noticeably not as fun as the first, primarily for it being a slow part of the story. The animation and voice acting are still consistently cool, though Hikaru Midorikawa's voice for Garou is exemplary. The comedy is there, though not quite as much as Season 1. The action however, is definitely awesome (whenever it's actually happening). Especially episode 11! That episode really is amazing.
The Martial Arts Tournament has subpar pacing. This is the primary reason for this season's weaker score. But Garou, King, Genos, and of course, Saitama, are all great. The Monster Association arc is certainly of interest. Shoutout Gyaro Gyaro. Love that pink fuck. 7/10

Season 2 didn’t have the same wow factor as Season 1, but I still had a good time watching it.
The story focuses more on Garou and the growing threat of the Monster Association, which gives the series a more serious side. I actually liked Garou because he isn’t just a typical villain his beliefs and obsession with becoming a “monster” make him interesting.
Saitama is still hilarious, especially because he remains completely disconnected from how serious everyone else thinks the situation is. Genos also gets some good moments, while the growing group of heroes gives the world more depth.
The biggest issue for me was the animation. Season 1 looked incredible, while Season 2 feels noticeably less polished, especially during some fights. The story is also slower and doesn't give Saitama as…

I don't think I've ever been this bored watching One Punch Man. I spent most of Season 2 with my eyes half closed, fighting to stay awake as I couldn't care less about the hero politics and drama. Garou was the one exception, as he's actually pretty cool and gets some badass moments toward the end, although his backstory, intentions, and motivations aren't explained well enough until far too late. Saitama is also nowhere to be found this season, only showing up at the last desperate second while the focus shifts to characters I never found particularly interesting. Everything else is a significant downgrade from Madhouse's Season 1: the action animation is weaker, the art is bland, the comedy didn't make me laugh once, and the pacing is all over the place. Still, Garou's storyline and a fe…

A sequel that promised much and delivered far less than it should have.
The second season of One Punch Man had an extremely difficult mission: to follow up one of the most impressive anime of the decade. The first season was a success not only because of its comedy or different premise, but also because of its absurd technical quality, especially in the action scenes. Unfortunately, this sequel is far from reaching the same level and ends up being one of the biggest drops in quality I've ever seen between two seasons of an anime.
The most frustrating thing is that the problem isn't the story. In fact, the narrative remains one of the work's greatest strengths. One Punch Man has always functioned as a satire of superheroes, playing with clichés while still building an interesting world fu…

This 2nd season follows the great story of Saitama and his road to define what is a hero, or maybe his purpose is just to find a way to escape boredom? There's also a few backstories, we meet important new heroes, and we're introduced to both the monster association and Garou, a human who wishes to be a monster.
The biggest selling point for me is the the story, the writing is still as excellent as in s1, but now it can shift to a different focus after stablishing the cast, there's still a lot of exposition for old and new characters though. The pacing is good but in contrast to s1, but this adaptation isn't as faithful to the manga in the sense that it cuts a lot of important scenes and shortens fights, in general this whole season is lower production, with less attention to the directio…

Coming into One Punch Man Season 2 after hearing all the backlash and criticism, I was prepared for a disappointment, but while many of the critiques are understandable, especially when comparing it to the iconic first season, I found the second season to be far from terrible. It’s a noticeable downgrade, yes, but it still has its merits and does a decent job of continuing the story, albeit in a different tone.
One reason this season faced such heavy criticism lies partly in the story direction itself. Season 1 was a high-energy, comedic twist on the traditional hero’s journey: Lighthearted, self-aware, and packed with crisp, thrilling action that made it instantly memorable. Season 2, on the other hand, shifts to a more conventional shonen format, focusing on hero rankings, organizationa…

I just finished watching the first two seasons of One Punch Man, and I can say it’s definitely worth checking out! 🤩 The anime does a fantastic job of developing not just the main hero, but also the supporting characters. Each of them gets enough screen time and depth, which makes the overall story feel even richer and more engaging.
The comedic moments are absolutely brilliant — I found myself laughing out loud more than once! 🤣 Beyond the jokes and epic battles, there are also intriguing subplots involving the side characters, and following their growth and motivations was really interesting. 🤔
However, there’s not much suspense regarding the main hero, Saitama, because of his overwhelming strength. We always know he’ll come out on top, so there’s no real tension in his fights. 😅 S…

It's way too much of a downgrade from a season before, especially the graphics and the storyboard. It's too much "cartoonish" than it is supposed to be. Unnecessary shading makes it like a cheap animation, the inconsistency of the characterization is too visible making it hard to watch. I get it, it's very hard to make a perfect animation, but there is way too many mistakes that make it hard to enjoy it and remove the meaning and feelings that should be felt from the animation. The story from the manga it's supposed to get delivered, but because the storyboard way too sucks, they lose the meaning or don't feel like they should. It's such a shame that this Manga getting messed up by this season. I hope the new season just using the formula like the season 1 not like this season.

It wasn't bad. I was about to give it a 5 (average) because it feels a bit like just one more of many BUT there is something inexplicable about it that makes it entertaining. Besides, it still makes you laugh.
The thing is, it's story isn't that interesting. It was characterized a lot by its action and comedy, but the action in this season is not that good either. I don't know... I think the first season is better, although not by that much, that's why I leave them both at a 6. In general, I didn't get bored watching it, but I don't think it's anything extraordinary either, that's why I leave it at a 6/10, which means "fine".
Also, Garou's motivations seem very stupid to me. I mean, I understand that this anime is, above all, a…

Short Review:
I don't understand the hate this season got. Probably because I haven't read the manga. In a vacuum, this season was hilarious and very exhilarating, making me want to know what happens next, in a way superior to the first season. I think this is for one main reason, which leads to a hot take I have: Saitama wasn't featured that heavily. In my opinion, based on the little of it that I have watched/read, OPM excels when Saitama isn't featured too heavily. And so, when you introduce a much more compelling, interesting, and funny character than Saitama in Garou, then you see that the show would actually fare much better if said new character was the real main character. That's right: if Garou was the main character, then I think OPM would be even better than it is now. Focusing…

seeing a lot of people suggest the manga over the anime, but i don't think OPM season 2 is bad - it's rather fun to watch and makes for an interesting follow up to the original. we get to see the continuation of saitama and genos' adventures, but with a bit more gravitas this time around, showing (similar to Boku no Hero Academia) the reality of a world where superheroes have become commonplace, and how that gets embedded into the capitalistic nature of society. even though OPM 2 tackles some serious themes, it still manages to stay lighthearted and keep the same pace as the original, introducing new characters and (potentially) stronger villains for saitama to test his mettle against (and for genos to become modern art in his attempt to defeat aforementioned villains), and despite being t…

Season 2 of One Punch Man is a mixed bag. On the one hand, the storytelling is much deeper than Season 1, introducing a compelling new anti-hero in Garou, expanding the world, and exploring the darker layers of the hero association. It’s a major step up in terms of narrative stakes and character development.
But where it falls flat is the animation. After the studio switched from Madhouse to J.C. Staff, the visual quality noticeably declined. The action scenes lack the crisp impact and fluidity that made Season 1 iconic. While the plot keeps you engaged, the lackluster animation drags it down, making what could have been an incredible season feel disappointing in execution.
In short: a great story trapped in a mediocre presentation.

the saga of One Punch Man continues, beckoning us to dive deeper into the whimsical world of Saitama and his comical cohorts.
Having savored the delightful concoction that was the first season, I embarked upon Season 2 with eager anticipation, brimming with hopes of laughter and mirth.
And yet, as the episodes unfurled before me like the petals of a wilting flower, I found myself grappling with a sense of disquiet—a nagging suspicion that all was not as it seemed.
Ah, but let us delve into the heart of the matter, shall we?
Firstly, the character development of our ensemble cast proved to be a beacon of light amidst the murky waters of disappointment. With each passing episode, we gleaned new insights into the lives and quirks of our beloved heroes, their idiosyncrasies adding layers o…

I felt this was more like a small starting point for something bigger, like a step up from a season, it may be due to the fact that almost nothing relevant or interesting happens to see, here it is more like a season in between to to be able to see something better in the next one, all of the above seen and raised I think that here they do not develop as well as I expected not only because it is not as entertaining as the previous season, also because the animation shown shows that it gave a great bass of quality, the characters seem as if each one were in their roll, Saitama does not feel like a protagonist but as an extra in his own series, in truth I expected much more that they did not manage to satisfy me.

I had mixed feelings about the second season of One Punch Man. Although the first season ended with an exciting cliffhanger, not much happened in the second season. I was hoping to see more of the hero association fighting against the monster organization, for example, the whole organization versus Saitama and his companions. But all we got to see was Garou being rescued by the organization and Saitama defeating the monster Centipede with one punch, thanks to King's help.
Overall, I found the second season less thrilling than the first, as there was no exciting finale or opponent that could challenge Saitama. I was disappointed with the ending, as I expected more. However, the middle part of the season was quite entertaining, especially when Saitama participated in a martial arts tourname…

The second season of One Punch Man just got a bit unlucky honestly. It's not like the characters are unfun to watch because come on, it's One Punch Man. Personally, I was just disappointed immeasurably by the animation quality, it felt rushed and unpolished, because it was. We certainly don't need to speak about Genos' arms.
In the end I don't think J.C.Staff could've ever lived up to the massive expectations that were set by Madhouse in the first season, and I personally feel that reading the manga is a better experience for the part of the series that this adaptation covers.

One Punch Man, a series loved by many for bombastic animation and hilarious physical comedy has been viciously murdered by J.C. Staff.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last year, it’s known throughout the anime community that Madhouse handed the second season of OPM to J.C. Staff—a studio known for cutting corners in their animation. Our expectations were low, but JESUS CHRIST THIS IS GARBAGE.
The art is awful. It’s flat, the color pallete is dull, and the shading is messy dog shit. Character designs were changed from their clean cool style to jagged and hideous imitations of their former selves. Metal textures look especially awful; it doesn’t have a shiny effect anymore, it just looks pudgy and gray.
All of the animation is practically a stop motion slide show. When th…

Season 2 is good.
Non-stop action fighting. You can see many other heroes as well as old ones.
The animation was not bad at all [looks at berserk 3-d]. People caring about animation more than story is sad.
Season 2 made me think about the roles of heroes and villains in shows, and villains really are almost always ganged up on.
The only downside of season 2 is with so much action and fighting the season is more serious and has less comedy than season one.
There are still funny things here and there but it feels less.
Overall it is a good show.

I think a lot of the reviews on here are letting their disappointment over this season's animation get the better of them. Yes, it doesn't look nearly as good as season 1, but that was never going to happen. One Punch Man season 1's animation was a once in a generation feat that would be almost impossible to replicate. As it is, I think the animation of this season is passable - probably better than the average action anime, but it gets judged much more harshly due to being compared to its predecessor. What many of the other reviews seem to be forgetting is that the biggest draw of One Punch Man has never been the visuals. This is, after all, the same story whose plot, characters, and humor kept hundreds of thousands of people coming back when it looked like it was drawn by a 6th grader (n…

Lets just start this off by saying im not normally a fan of shonen and that I loved season 1, I really felt like the studio that made that season really hit it out of the park.
Then 2019 comes around and this stupid, ugly and pointless sequel comes along to not only majorly disappoint but completely disregard and throw away everything that made the first season great.
The animation is a major downgrade and everyone other than the S class heroes are completely useless this season. They all might as well be C class it seeing as it makes no difference at all. In every battle Saitama shows up and wins the fight with extreme ease because ofc he does, his fights are also very predictable and extremely underwhelming because he just shows up at the last second and its over before it can even be…
