The second season of this great comedy 😂😂😂 Without further ado, the animation continues to maintain the same level of quality as the previous season. It's not fluid all the time (because it doesn't need to be), but it knows exactly when to deliver more dynamic moments. When the scene demands more consistent and meticulous animation, the studio delivers with vigor. Overall, we still have several visually beautiful and well-directed scenes that greatly enhance the experience. The sound design follows that "neither here nor there" standard: it's not something that stands out absurdly, but it's also far from bad. It fulfills its role well, fits the scenes, and helps with the timing of the jokes, which, in a comedy, is more than enough. Now, one of the points that evolves the most in this…

Honestly season 2 is where this show peaked for me. I love the whole series but s2 is definitely my favorite, i just kept rewatching it over and over again and still laughed like the first time. The comedy gets even more absurd and the new characters they added just fit perfectly with the rest of the idiots lol. Saiki is still the goat but seeing him deal with even more chaos in this season was just gold. Its so fast paced that u never get bored for a second. Its rare for a comedy to stay this good in the second season but they nailed it. If u want to just turn off ur brain and have a good time this is the best choice honestly. i still go back and watch random episodes whenever im feeling down. easy 9/10 for me, maybe even higher.

This season is exceptional, rivaling the brilliance of the first. It introduces several compelling new characters, such as Aiura, Akechi, and Saiko, who bring fresh energy and depth to the story. The scenarios and themes explored in these episodes surpass those of the first season, offering a richer and more engaging experience. The story arcs are particularly captivating, with one standout being the unforgettable stranded island arc, which is both thrilling and highly memorable. If you enjoyed the first season, I can confidently say you'll love the second even more. The anime not only excels at refining what it already did well but also enriches the narrative by adding new layers of complexity and excitement. It’s a masterful continuation that elevates the series to new heights.

The second season of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan sticks to its guns, delivering more of the same zany antics and expanding its already vast ensemble cast. Fans will find the humor familiar, with jokes that riff on both the events of the first season and broader Japanese and anime culture. Visually, it's business as usual, with the animation retaining its signature style, limitations and all. However, there's a subtle shift in pacing. Rather than quick-fire gags, many jokes now sprawl across multiple episodes, demanding a bit more patience from viewers. While this approach allows for deeper comedic exploration, it can also make the series feel a tad sluggish at times, especially if a particular gag isn't your cup of tea. Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan 2 maintains the essence of its predecessor, injecting…

I'll make this quick Saiki season 2 is literally more of the same. Did you like Saiki before? Good you'll like season 2. Expect more new wacky characters (including best girl sorry teruhashi) and more wacky situations. There's nothing at all different here except Saiki has to accept that he can't hide his powers from everybody. Still the same old Saiki and still comedy gold. There's nothing else to really add because my previous review of Saiki covered all the bases. I really liked season 2 its just a shame it wasn't as long as the first season. I hope someday we'll get a proper season 3 but its unlikely

This wont be a long one This one actually adds a story! No spoilers but it is a very very very loosely threaded story. Not much there it is back to the same slapstick comedy each episode with no story progression I loved it. it was amazing. just like nichijou or azumanga daioh. the op is okay the music in the background is okay maybe 4/10 for music in this show and artstyle is the same all in all amazing show if u liked nichijou or azumanga daioh. Saiki is a great character. Finished the specials and ONA's and will definitely miss Saiki Final Score: 8/10 a bit better than first season so good watch! Thanks! -CyanCheetah

You know, for a comedy series like Saiki K., I wasn't expecting to see any improvements season to season--you'd think the comedy's consistency would stay the same and, therefore, the series would be the same. And, the comedy did actually remain consistent, which is a big plus for this season because the comedy is what makes Saiki K.--but I actually saw some considerable steps forward with this season compared to the last. The first thing I noticed with this season was that it had a few longer storylines, which was something I was hoping to see more of after last season. I don't actually think Saiki K. needs to have a story that stretches over the entire series, but it was still nice to see certain "arcs," if you want to call them that, last for more than the typical 5 to 10 minutes--some…

Yare Yare, I have to do another Saiki K review? I guess I have no choice. I love the fast paced nature of this show, and this season has managed to keep it up despite switching to full length episodes rather than 5 minute ones that are just grouped together on streaming sites. It would have been easy to take the show in a different direction with more long form story telling, but they still do these quick cut sequences that never linger too long in one place. The show grows incredibly fond of the "We have a new transfer student today" device. It even pokes fun at itself for using it so much, but the steady stream of new wacky characters never seems forced and somehow they manage to juggle all their idiosyncrasies pretty well, mostly by preemptively Flanderizing them all down to a single…

They made the episode count as 24 this time instead of 120 or whatever it was on the first season lol. It's still got than short episode presentation however so keep that in mind. The interlude breaks here are funny, the characters look super muscly lol. But I preferred the more calm relaxed ones of the first season. Other than that it's about the same in quality as the first, which isn't a bad thing. There is an arc where they are stuck on an island. I honestly think it's dragged on for too long, but it doesn't get annoying or anything. The ending is reserved for the final special which is all good. Overall it's just a regular continuation of the first season. My thoughts on the first season are the same as on this one. They up the stakes more though which is cool. Still about the same…

Saiki K Its an incredibly hilarious and silly comedy that is almost guaranteed to make you laugh. This " review " is just me talking about what I like in Saiki k so if that doesnt interest you , feel free to stop reading. If you haven't watched the show however , hopefully this gives you enough motivation to start it. Characters Saiki k is a show with an incredibly hilarious cast of characters , the foundation for a good comedy. Each character except Saiki is a troupe that is taken to their incredibly illogical extreme . Nendou is so dumb that saiki cannot read his mind. And Hairo is so passionate that he literally creates heat and fire. This makes for incredibly dramatic but never exaggerated character interaction. ( well they are exaggerated in a way but never forced ) This cast of cha…

This is going to be a review for both seasons, since they are basically the same thing with some improvements here and there. *********** What I really like about parodies is exactly what makes them “parodies.” They take every single cliché we know of and throw them at anyone's face who takes them so seriously. The first season of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan was more like this. Playing with everything we have accepted -just as a regular parody would do, breaking the fourth wall, talking about how these “accepted” basics are actually accepted, and more importantly, pacing its own story alongside with each of these short and mostly unrelated episodes; these are what the first season of anime is about. But the parody and comedy part of the series is just one of its two main aspects. The second a…

The moment I started watching the 1st episode I knew it was going to be awesome. And I wasn't disappointed. It has a very hilarious way of showing the life of overpowered characters. I really wish that they make another season to wrap it all up. But the specials also complete the story in a way. The character development of the main character was also well planned and the character design of side characters were taken to extremes which made it more hilarious. It's definitely one of the anime I'd like to erase from my memory and watch again and again...

no i did not just cry because of a comedy anime. ok maybe i did but that is none of your business anyway this show is great and you should watch it right now. ( i have also made a similar review for the first season of this show, this is technically an updated blog but with more knowledge on my part ) it is similar to one punch because of the comedy, but it really capitalizes on that aspect here. Story: 7/10 Ok so obviously this is not a story based anime, it is a comedy, so the story isn't going to be the greatest aspect, but considering i AM the one that just cried and somehow became invested in this story and the characters, i guess i'm not the one that should be judging the story. It is comprised of skits that show "the disastrous life of saiki k" Art: 7/10 On my previous revi…

There is a lot of cringe and a lot of frustration in the realm of anime comedy. Most animes try to employ comedy in a way that fails to be funny, and in many cases take away from the anime's story or visuals. However, there are a handful of anime that succeed in making all audiences laugh, and Saiki K is one of them. Saiki K is one of those anime where you just watch it to have a good time. Whether it's after a long day at school, or on a Sunday afternoon where you have nothing to do, Saiki K always finds a way to fit itself into your anime watching schedule. While the art and soundtrack aren't quite amazing (which holds it back from being a true masterpiece) it is very enjoyable and, chances are, you'll like it no matter what you're tastes in comedy are. So let's talk about what I though…

Warning: this is an enjoyable comedy without any meaningful plot: there's simply this psychic teenager who, as problems arise, uses his supernatural abilities to benefit himself and, to his own surprise, others. But this anime should not be misjudged simply because it lacks sophistication. A funny show already is, as the descriptor implies, fun. Naturally, the success of such a desultory, plotless show depends on the strength of its characters. In this regard, Saiki Kusuo is worthy of praise. All the characters have distinctive, memorable personalities and remain in character throughout. Together they give the show its signature forward momentum that keeps it enjoyable to the casual viewer. I get the feeling that the director knows exactly which character to introduce in a given comedic s…

I gotta hand it to this anime! I first came upon the manga by sheer random chance about a year ago. I was bored at the time, and wanted something new, didn't expect much, just thought it was gonna be yet another average series, but boy weren't I in for a big surprise! I had only read a few chapters and I knew I had to see this animated! The plot is simple enough, jokes are funny (even when repeated a hundred times), and many of the recurring gags have me shaking with laughter whenever I just happen to remember them. For example, every time I remember Nendou's voice (which is a perfect performance by the seiyuu btw) asking his "aibo (pal)" Saiki to go get Ramen for the 100 psychicillionth time, it genuinely cracks me up! The series also takes the anime trope where we get to see characters'…

Saiki K is such a great anime. Season 2 came out on Netflix the day after I started watching Season 1, so I was super stoked for that. Anyways, if you enjoy slice of life comedy animes, then this is the one for you. This anime is an example of overpowered characters done right. Saiki is basically an all powerful psychic, who is able to do pretty much everything, but he just wants his classmates to leave him alone and be normal. This makes for some super funny scenes. I found myself greatly enjoying every single episode of this series. The best thing about this anime is that it isn't meant to be taken seriously, but is instead a parody. I love how it makes basic anime tropes like brightly colored hair being normal, even in Japan, how injuries heal immediately, and how when clothes get blow…

This is a short review of the whole series and my first ever review at the same time. 2018 really graced us with so many good comedies! Humor is very subjective but as far as the gag comedy anime series go this one is one of the best. What I love the most about this show are its characters. First season had a great cast and some new characters are added in the second season. Every one of them is unique and funny in their own weird way. (My favorites are Saiki himself and Teruhashi). The show is also full of great recurring characters, well executed gags and constant 4th wall breaking. The show's weak spot, as with many comedy anime, is it's story. It is kinda episodic, with some overarching plots, but the show is just so full of heart that even the slower parts are just as enjoyable as t…

This is largely the same deal as the first season. Meaning gag comedy, with multiple short episodes crammed into one anime episodes. Summary: Story 6/10 Art: 5/10 Sound: 6/10 Character: 6/10 Enjoyment: 6/10 Overall: 6/10. Compared to first episode one thing that I noticed is that intro and outro music became better, however, I felt like the show become slightly weaker compared to the 1st season, and I felt like animation quality dropped slightly. Meaning 6/10 instad 7/10 total this time aropund. One of the reasons for that is probably the fact that they introduced huge number of characters, and because now there are "multi-episode" mini arcs. Those lack the pace of short stories of the first season and as a result felt less entertaining to me. In general: The story is a gag comedy, and…

When I saw the cover photo of Saik K on Netflix, I thought “what the hell is this…” There was some ridiculous pink-haired boy with freaky horn-like antennas sticking of his head. So naturally, I overlooked it, and ended up watching something else at the time. A few months later, a friend recommended “Sakamoto” as something light-hearted and funny to watch. I loved it - it was a show that didn’t take itself too seriously, but still clearly put some thought into its comedy sketches. Then, when that same friend recommended Saik K, I had to take his advice and watch an episode. I was hooked immediately. The premise of show lend it the ability to be a most masterful comedy. Saiki Kusou has ridiculous physic capabilities (telepathy, teleportation, insane strength, …. the list is practically…
