Introduction
Alcia is a world governed by "Count": numbers engraved on a person's body, representing any number related to their life. These Counts determine a person's social status and power in Alcia. If a Count reaches zero, the person is sent to the Abyss, a place rumored to be worse than death.
Hina, a traveler whose Count is based on the distance she traveled, witnessed her mother get dragged down into the Abyss. Determined to fulfill her mother's last wishes, she sets off on a journey in search of the legendary Aces—heroes of the war that happened three hundred years ago, bearing a white star next to their Count.
While wandering around, Hina encounters Licht Bach, a mysterious masked man with negative Count, and Nana, the owner of a tavern. In the midst of having a good time, Hina is tricked into a battle with a military soldier. However, despite his negative count, Licht rescues Hina and reveals that he has another count, one with a white star, one of a legendary Ace.
Plunderer follows the journey of Hina and other inhabitants of Alcia as they discover the truth about their world, the Abyss, and the legendary Aces.

Plunderer is... quite complex to talk. The series establishes a very interesting concept, it has some cool mysteries but I don't feel they are used correctly. The series is clearly character-driven but many of them aren't interesting to follow. It's a series with potential, but it often stumbles over its own feet.
Let's talk about a few points. Yes, it has ecchi, but you can't watch a 24-episode series with ecchi and complain about it. If you don't like it, stop watching after the first episode because it's clearly the type of ecchi from the beggining. But I often feel that these moments are unnecessarily long, especially those used in jokes, like you might find it funny when it starts but after 5 to 10 minutes of the same joke, you start thinking, "When is this going to end?".
For a se…

Anime story and the count concept is awesome. However the execution, scenes matching, character development and approaching were too bad, tbh.
The description is something that makes you fell this anime is a hidden gem while it's a chicken anime covered in GOAT skin! You will see first an isekai world (it's not an isekai anime) with some magics and old era things. However the story says something else and thats the most interesting part. That isekai-like world is not the actual world. So ofc you will be interested. But thats all there is. You will keep watching just bc of the mystery reveal. It has literally one of the worst fighting scenes with no artstyle and no real skills/power.
The ecchi scenes were fine though but if you are onto only action, then this anime is clearly not for yo…

3.25/10 ~ what year is it lol
My statement above is both for the fact that this show feels rough out of 2001 with horrible nonsensical anime, but also for the fact that the best part of the show is the odd twist of, what year is it.
The first few episodes felt right out of "Mahou Senshi Louie" or "Rune soldier" for the few that got sucked into that hot garbage 25 years ago on promise that we were getting more Lodoss War... sorry if I wound up some old wounds there lol. then took a drastic turn and just started slowly turning into something closer to "Kiddy Grade", a few episodes latter it was just "Full Metal Panic!" and then at the end it turned back into "Rune Soldier", the plot for the most part was a bit of a mess but honestly a bit close to greatness if not for the so many flaws. In short:
If you want an anime that has a really good story, is somewhat fun, and you don't care about 90% of it being fan service, well, this is for you! And keep in mind when I say fan service. A LOT OF IT.
Intro:
The story is centered around a cute, naive, ingenuous, pure (insert more nonsense shoujo tropes here) girl, that sees a harasser and kinda likes him out of nowhere(???) because she is seeking someone to take the "power cell" that was given to her by her mom.
Yes, this is a cringe show.
This anime is really... messed up. It has an interesting story and really cool characters, but lost its way with all the fanservice. I know that a little bit of fanservice is good, and sometimes fun if executed in a good way, but this anime goes too hard with it.
I was a teenager a long, long…

This show is the definition of a mixed bag. There's a pretty decent story in there, but they buried it under excessive fanservice, a failure to really explain some important worldbuilding elements, and a half-hearted conclusion.
It feels like the show was put together by people with competing and not terribly compatible visions of what they wanted to produce. It's like it had three directors: one who wanted a pure fanservice show; another who wanted to tell an interesting story; and a third who wanted to make a shounen action flick.
I have to stress that the fanservice is really really excessive. They should have cut 90% of it and done more worldbuilding exposition instead.
Then there are the characters, who range from deep and complex to entirely forgettable cookie-cutter tropes.
And…

What an absolute hidden rusty warn down gem. I say this because it isn't gold or really even all that great, but its unique with an interesting power system that is applied to all parts of the verse. The protagonist starts off being pretty creepy and the female lead is also quite boring. Getting to the middle of the season is where things sit at enjoyable to watch. If I had to choose a show that was most similar I'd probably say Black Clover.
Unfortunately though, for whatever reason, the writer of this story attempted at some kind of philosophical backstory to try to give the protagonist some kind of trauma the audience is supposed to sympathize with. This backstory then proceeds to consume the entire rest of the show, and it's sloppy.
If the show continued on the pace it was going in t…

Plunderer is a series that fluctuates between good and average... But the constant humor, the characters and the action scenes make up for the average animation and the questionable and flawed script. I was going to give it a 7, but since the last episode has many hilarious comedy scenes and even a good hint of romance, I decided to give the anime a 8. It's a shame that it will apparently never have an animated conclusion to the story, the only way is to go after and read the manga, which ended in 2022. Anyway, a 8! Date: 06/05/2025.

I´ve would recommended this Anime Plunderer because just have to see it, it has everything fun, you can enjoy it, you can laugh, nice fight scenes the anime quality is also very high. I like anime like this when the characters can live so freely and show their traits perfectly. Plunderer is an anime that you could watch every year and you´d never get bored like Black cat wew
I think everyone would enjoy this, cuz its unique.
Art Style is like its own story.
When Licht Bach comes up with funny moments the only thing you can do its watching him until the end cuz its Loveeee

Like so many of the majority of Anime series that get overlooked and finally lost to obscurity, this series albeit sizeable for 1 season, should have definitely lasted AT LEAST 1 to 2 more seasons!
Plenty of source material, an AWESOME storyline arc, and a great cast lineup of memorable, loveable, and unlikeable characters. I love how each episode had me glued to the remote, ready at any second to hit next or enter when asked if I wanted to bypass the credits and move on to the next episode or skip the intro music. I love to keep the party going nonstop with no breaks. Many a bladder pains can attest to my refusal to pry my eyes away from the screen lol.
Anyway, even though it's been an extremely long time since the series aired season finale, many other pandemic time framed series hav…

Plunderer is a show that is held back by tremendous amounts of what people could call "fanservice", especially in the first half of the show. It's that, but it's also just full of straight up sexual harassment as a "joke" or fanservice - our male MC is straight up harassing and touching women against their will. To me, the way this show portraits that as a running gag is honestly really embarassing. I know that for some reason this is a common trope in some shows, but it is so much worse here because at its core Plunderer has a really imaginative story to follow. If Plunderer got rid of a select few deus ex machina moments during its run and would have scrapped about 90% of this "fanservice" stuff and instead focused on exploring its themes more, it would have been a lot better to me and c…

The writer(s) should just go to horny jail, but still a lot goes down in this 24 prologue-like episodes.
The characters are fun and most of them are really interesting. Sadly, the anime - in most cases - leaves those backstories and interesting details for the viewer to imagine, since it does close to nothing in that regard when it comes to most of the characters.
Some, however, have serious development which is really hard to squish into 24 episodes, but they did it and it's most fulfilling. Obviously this means other characters will lack any kind of complexity, so just keep that in mind.
These days people seem to focus a lot on looks, and this one lives up to those expectations, it's beautiful, well saturated and nicely animated.
The story has tremendous potential. These 24 episodes…

Unpopular opinion but here goes.
By the whole idea and concept of the world itself in the anime is pretty good yet a lot of it was taken away by really random horny stuff. If someone would cut up those 24 episodes into your usual 12-14 episode anime, it would be way way better.
Premise - 8/10
The whole idea of everyone having a "count" which goes up or down depending on your oath to yourself is pretty good. Considering the idea arose from essentially WW3 (Waste Wars), it's a really nice concept. Only and major flaw is that quarter of the anime in it wasn't worked on anymore and became more of a regular fighting comedy.
Art style - 10/10
Character clothing, design, animation style is top notch yet this is still opinion based. Nothing I can add here. For me it was perfect.
Story - 6/10

RULE #1
A writer of fantasy fiction only has to follow whatever rules he or she makes up for him- or herself.
RULE #2
There are no other rules.
RULE #3
But you really really *really* need to follow rule #1!
--- The creators of this show chose to ignore these rules completely, and that's the reason the result of their efforts belongs in the giant heap of trash anime that provides too little return on the viewer's time investment to be worth watching. The author's just made up shit as they went, and didn't care about following any kind of plot logic. When there is no logic there is no plot to spoil and no suspense to sabotage, so I won't ruin anything for you by giving a simple example:
Someone gets shot right in the chest and is left for dead lying motionless on the ground in a rapidly…

The plot twist when the "demon of the abyss" shows up gave me a lot of hope that this was actually going to turn out to be a great show that mislead me early on with a slow buildup and derpy sex humour, but pretty quickly it descended back into bad clichés and nonsenscial plot points.
I can't recommend it, but maybe the nonsense is a result of adaptation rather than inherently bad writing. I have no idea because I haven't read the Manga, but I would hope that it's better.
Apparently the review needs more information (I don't think it really does, but here we go)
Is the story unique? --- Sure, the premise is interesting enough. It's handled in some very predictable and unfortunate ways, but as stated above, the demon of the abyss creates a suddenly very interesting dynamic in the world…

3 years 2 months and 1 day. I started the Anime January 11th 2020 and did not finish it until March 12th 2023.
I got to episode 17 as it was releasing and have not picked it up since. I cant really say why other than maybe it was because I enjoyed it so much at first. So, I didn't want it to end hearing how it was going south, and how it wouldn't be able to finish properly. But most of the questions I had were answered in the anime after episode 17 (I had already spoiled a good bit for myself 3 years ago to answer my questions however).
It is a bit of a cliff hanger ending and there has not been any updates to the anime since but I think it had a nice way of bringing down the curtain. That's coming from someone who waited 3 years to come back and finish it.
I would recommend this anime…

Alright.
All I can say is that, to SOME extent, I agree with the reviews that were made so far.
HOWEVER,
I did not find the anime itself to be as bad.
There were numerous unnecessary moments - yeah, the story did not have its explanation or development, and from time to time was also super dramatic (for no reason). I won't lie; it raised a lot of questions for me, and I understand why everyone is so disappointed - it had the potential to be much more. Let's hope for season 2, I guess.
While the poster, the first few episodes and ecchi elements give the impression that this would not be a show that would leave viewers with heavy emotions, the further the story goes, the darker it gets (I even cried). There were times when the plot and direction of the story really disturbed me, so be min…

Honestly, I don't understand why this anime is getting so much hate. It's not bad but not a masterpiece. It's something to watch when you have nothing else to watch.
The story itself is pretty bland but not in a bad way. More or less you can pretty much predict what's going to happen but again its not bad. If it had a little more oomph in it it would be pretty good.
The Art style is pretty basic too. But it's not horrible. Like I always say it could be worse. also boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The characters in my opinion are really likeable characters, main chick is kind of bland and annoying but still likeable in a way
(boobs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ). Main character is a funny perv (like issei from Highschool DxD) and he is hella op (if you like OP MC's this is a anime for you). Finally, all the side cha…

tl;dr: An anime that starts off enjoyably light hearted and simple, but becomes a convoluted mess trying too hard to have depth.
Firstly, I’d like to state that I in general do like Minazuki Suu works and downright loved Sora no Otoshimono, so I have no problem with there being a perverted protagonist or random and major shifts from serious to comedic. Now, I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume that the anime adapted the manga terribly, but to put it simply this anime is nothing like his other works and does a pretty bad job at pretty much everything.
The anime starts off kind of feeling mostly like his other works. There are definitely some hints about there being some pretty dark things going on and that a serious story is going to pop up eventually, but it’s fo…

Its not what you think it is, it begins as a harem, comedy and fantasy anime but it becomes something more. There are a lot of twists in the story, the anime does not do the manga justice, there is alot of filler despite the fact that manga was ahead of the anime, it's worth watching nonetheless, there is alot of ecchi but some good serious moments and the season ends on a big cliffhanger. There is an air of mystery about the world and how it became like that, its almost completely missing from the anime except for a few moments, If you're disappointed with the anime then I suggest reading the manga, it is actually good, the twists keep the story interesting

I finished this anime in 2 days it was fun anime to speedrun kinda... Story is solid and if you like ecchi anime you won't be disappointed. I gave it score 8/10 maybe it's to high of a score but if I could give it a real rating it would be something like 7.8 so it's one of better animes that I have seen, still not near good enough to compare with some better shows but time I spent watching this was enjoyable. Anyways I plan to watch season 2. Artstyle of this anime reminds me of "That time i got reincarnated as a slime" and it looks really solid. I really don't know why people give this anime score 2-4/10 I mean its much better then that it deserves more... Underrated anime in my opinion avrage score of 6.57 is way too low. If you have time over I feel like you should give it a chance also…
