This was the season that made me understand why The Seven Deadly Sins became so popular in the first place. Before everything started getting increasingly chaotic, this story was simply fun. The characters had great chemistry, the fights were exciting, and I genuinely enjoyed following this group of completely dysfunctional people somehow becoming a family.
I especially love the earlier feeling of adventure in this season. The Sins traveling together, meeting new characters and slowly revealing their pasts made the world feel much bigger. Everyone has their own personality, which means there is always someone doing something stupid while another person is trying to save the situation.
It definitely has its problems, and looking back there are things I would probably criticize more now, but…

I rated The Seven Deadly Sins season one a 7 out of 10, mainly because the story itself is genuinely strong.
From a narrative perspective, the anime does a very good job. The world building is interesting, the main plot is engaging, and the backstories of the characters are well done. Each member of the Seven Deadly Sins feels distinct, with a past that actually adds weight to their actions. The emotional moments connected to these backstories work well and help the characters feel more human.
The combat system is another strong point. The fights are entertaining, easy to follow and feel meaningful within the story. Power levels and abilities are introduced in a way that keeps things exciting without becoming confusing. For a newer generation anime, the writing is surprisingly solid and…

The Seven Deadly Sins is actually ✨your✨ thing if your eyes don't hurt with several ecchi and gags.¡BUT besides that! The show starts well and flows easily, taking all your attention piece by piece. (Almost) all main characters appear in this very first season and tell their background stories meanwhile the battles or other crucial points. The most important thing for you, as a watcher, is to bare some slow narration in the beginning + partly annoying MC's behavior considering poor Elizabeth.
The worldbuilding here is nothing special nor annoyingly common. It's fine and never bothers much. The author purposefully ignored all the idea with elves, dwarves, gnomes, orcs as no one already cares about that. There's only a few distinctive races, each of which play their storytelling and lore r…

i can't do it dude the main character is just way too fucking gross
That's really what it is
I was gonna come in here and go on about how derivative and creatively barren it is
how the premise hits like it's straight off a text-based roleplaying forum, circa 2008
and the fucking awful munchkin mascot who why is he even here? who wanted him??
and the faux-fur fairy tail story
have you ever wondered "what if dragonball z was written by that guy who never bathes"
but i shouldn't even waste my breath and like it's not even the main character is gross and he is the one gross guy who gets to be gross
The whole anime, is gross
it's so gross...
They're all that guy...

The Seven Deadly Sins is an incredibly captivating anime that manages to pull you in before you even realize it. One of its strongest points lies in the dynamic and chemistry between the main group – the Seven Deadly Sins themselves. Their interactions are engaging, full of charm, humor, and emotion, and it’s hard not to grow attached to each of them as the story unfolds.
Visually, the anime has a lot going for it. I especially appreciated the outdoor settings — sunny fields, rustic villages, open skies — which create a bright and adventurous atmosphere that sets it apart from darker or more confined fantasy stories. The world feels alive and open, and that sense of space really enhances the viewing experience.
However, despite its many strengths, I couldn’t help but notice some inconsis…

I think my love for this show is largely based on nostalgia, as it was the anime that really got me into the genre. While it wasn't my first anime—that would be Pokémon, followed by Glitter Force—it was the first one I recognized as anime, since I was older than five. It introduced me to shonen, and it sums up the genre well with its highs, lows, and quirky relationships, which I find charming and comforting. It's a guilty pleasure, and I believe it serves as a solid introduction to shonen for those new to anime. It's a good benchmark for comparing other anime—is it better or worse than The Seven Deadly Sins? The premise isn't overly complex or inventive, but the characters are solid and enjoyable, especially if you're building your anime journey. I realize that intermediate anime fans mig…

This anime isn't bad at all.
It has some solid fight scenes, a cool storyline, and a cast of great, unique characters. Overall, it was quite enjoyable to watch.
Now, for my personal downsides:
There’s just way too much shouting. Stuff like:
"Oh no, please! No! Survive! Sir Meliodas! Oh no!!! How!!! Oh wow!!! Sir Meliodas, don’t die! Everything’s bad! Oh no!"
That’s honestly the best way I can describe it. It got really annoying. A bit of dramatic shouting is fine—normal, even—but this anime really overdid it. I’ve seen a lot of anime, and I can’t recall another where it was this excessive. It felt like it took up too much screen time.
Also, at times, it felt a bit too childish. I get that not all anime is meant for people 30+, but still—it came off as more childish than, say, even Naruto…

The first anime I finished from start to finish.
I think it was the first anime of many, Nanatsu no Taizai is an anime that was part of my childhood and was the first one I picked up to watch from start to finish.
Speaking of the first season, I would say that it is a really good anime, even if there are some negative points regarding the protagonist, the relationship between the characters, their story and the development, it is something that I really liked, the first season of this anime is really excellent until the end, and it is worth giving it a chance.

Nanatsu no Taizai, or Seven Deadly Sins, Is a action packed story following the main character named Meliodas. Meliodas is the captain of the group of people whom they call there selves the Seven Deadly Sins. Who are a group of talented individuals who are the "Strongest in the lands". This 5 season show is NOT for Everryone. Infact alot of people hate this show for a bad story... Although I love it as you can see from my rating. I highly recommend this to people who like the main characters being strong as hell and super cool storys about them.
If you are looking for an Action packed, full of battles, extremely powerfull mc anime you've found one of the longer ones out there that fall under these categorys so give it a watch I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for reading my review!

It is a masterpiece when it comes to story telling, appropriate pacing and character development. The lore is vast, all the main charcaters have unique aspects to them and the show does well in getting us accustomed to the theme and the character nuances in a span of 24 episodes. The art style is good but the fights need better animation. The only annoying thing for me was the infatuation of Elizabeth with Meliodas, but as we will learn later in the sequels, there is a good reason why Elizabeth is infatuated with Meliodas.
P.S. the next two sequels (excluding singns of holy war) are going to be even more amazing but the fourth sequel is going to crash all your hopes for the show and story down the drain.

On paper, "The Seven Deadly Sins" has all the ingredients to be a major success: A talented voice cast, a big studio, a decent musical score, and a wide range of characters coming from all kinds of races set in a medieval fantasy world. Despite the promising elements, the series sadly falls short, which ironically is majorly caused by the "main" characters Meliodas and Elizabeth.
It's unfortunate because many of the other characters have rather interesting stories and undergo clear character development. And then there's Meliodas. He's the typical overpowered main character who can not lose and sometimes even loses on purpose to reveal his ultimate trump card, but that's not even the main issue. Overpowered characters can still be compelling if they have intriguing traits or likeable qual…

A showbi wanted to like more than i did. Theres so much potential there to be at the same level as Fairy tail. Naruto. Bleach and the other well known long running shounens.
You got the usual Sawano masterclass ost. Its not to long like the others so doesnt drag on or have as much filler. The plot is pretty good, but wasted.
The problem is poorly written characters. Especially the MC. He is so unlikeable. Sexual harassment stopped being fun, or actually it never was in the first place. The humor is so immature. Its like it was written by a 10 year old boy.
It has some cool fights and when the plot keeps its focus and reaveal backstory and connections its pretty epic along with a stellar soundtracks. But to often its focus is on immature humor and boring poorly written characters and…

This is one of those animes that 12 year olds and angsty teenagers will love for all the action, shock and awe, and ethically questionable shameless fanservice. But if you are even a normally functioning, semi decent human being, you'd be embarrassed at yourself for ever watching and liking this as you grow older.
The characters pulls powers out of their asses in fight scenes. Overused Clichés and tropes thrown around at the walls to see what sticks. Character Motovations doesn't makes sense. Main protagonist is a child looking overpowered walking deus ex machina with a hidden edgy powerup mode who fails willingly when its plot convenient. And he molests the primary female protagonist at every opportune or inopportune moments he can get his hands on her, and no one calls him out on this…

This show is crammed with so much fan service it struggles to keep a decent plot. It's a miracle I actually finished one season. All characters are basically the same outside of their designs. The men are some flavor of pervert while the women are all hapless victims to the men. Each of the sins are thrown a title of what sin they are and most don't bother keeping to it. Any time there was an actual interesting plot point that had me hoping there was something going for this story I was then thrown with fan service and fucking lolicon. I was recommended this show by a high school English teacher when I was younger and I have to ask why the fuck she would suggest this to kids. Fan service takes so much of the show the actual plot suffers. The three stars are only because Ban's design is the…

This review is for The Seven Deadly Sins.
Summary:
The Seven Deadly Sins is a story that fuses stereotypical, poorly written characters with a generic magical
European Middle Ages setting. The highlight of this anime is, for most people, probably the fight scenes and
action, though the story is predictable with stagnant characters and significant flaws. The art and music are
average. If you enjoy this genre of action and adventure, this may be an anime to check out, although the
overall quality is quite poor, with minimal character development, a poor premise, and glaring issues with a
lack of power system. Story: 3/10
The story starts off with cliché characters and story line and builds on its mediocrity with a terribly
unbalanced power system. There is no accountability or…

What, you thought that generic Not Sword Art Online clones and trash OreImo clones are all that A-1 Pictures is capable of? Well, fair enough, that's a reasonable assumption. Alas, as it turns out, they're also capable of producing shounen epics. To be fair, A-1 Pictures has already produced a shounen epic, namely Fairy Tail, but that seems to be roundly condemned as the worst that the shounen genre has to offer. I disagree, but regardless, it's not exactly the A-1's crown jewel.
Nevertheless, The Seven Deadly Sins' reception is much more positive. The Seven Deadly Sins, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover were considered to be the new Big 3. That is until Black Clover's anime adaptation turned out to be the cataclysmic disaster that it was, but that's a conversation for another time. My p…

What starts as what could be a pretty interesting premise quickly descends into a cliche ridden show with little originality,
Plot - 2/10
Very basic plot thats been seen a million times before riddled with every cliche from both shonen and medieval stories. Alot of things build up with little or underwhelming payoffs or happen extremely suddenly with little build up.
There's also a plot of one of the characters falling in love with a 3000 year old fairy who just so happens to look like a child so yeah....
Characters - 3/10
The only characters that really have any depth are king and ban, Diane to an extent also, every other character has little backstory or even development.
Every character is also either completely useless or insanely overpowered with very little in-between
Art - 5/1…

tl;dr: A battle shounen with a fantastic cast and a story that while certainly messy is still pretty good, but the terrible adaptation of the third and fourth seasons is impossible to overlook.
*Note: This is a review of the entire original series, by which I mean everything before the sequel series Mokushiroku no Yonkishi, except for the Ensa no Edinburgh ONAs which I will be skipping.*
Nanatsu no Taizai, also known as The Seven Deadly Sins, is a battle shounen anime centered around a princess and a group of seven incredibly powerful ‘knights’ known as The Seven Deadly Sins. They’re some of the best of what are referred to as Holy Knights, but the term is used pretty loosely to mean pretty much anyone that can fight using magic as it includes straight up witches as well. The plot goes t…

Look, I will start with the bad to be able to move on to the good of this series, the bad is more than logical and it is the sexualization of the girl who is a bone princess Elizabeth, I will always feel uncomfortable in the question of how they treat them (touching her breasts and the girl's butt), some will find it funny but it just makes me uncomfortable. Second point is that some characters fall in love with some girls that look like a girl. Look at this. I'm sure that in Japanese culture it's not that rare, but for me it makes me a bit uncomfortable (actually I think that the author shows his fetishes with this), another point that I did not like was that of magic here it does not make any sense that if I start to delve deeper into the subject I would stay writing for a long…

Reading the Seven Deadly Sins manga was a relatively positive experience. Although it was quite dull and almost failed to stand out from the average, it possessed charm, likable characters, dynamic fights, and decent pacing. For an average shounen, this is already a lot of praise. And having finished reading the manga years ago, I was eager to see the anime as well, despite rumors of how bad it would later become.
The first season of this Anime is practically an oversized prologue and doesn't offer anything to the viewer, other than character introductions and a line-up of the most boring fights in the manga. A big problem with this season is that the actual first arc and the recapture of Liones took way too long and the enemies had virtually no relevance. In the next…
