Introduction

"This is a prophecy for you, where five people will meet huge adversaries, and only you can protect everyone." Daisuke Dojima is a second-year high school student who was abducted when he was young. He was involved in a special phenomenon—Shibuya Drift—with his childhood friends Gai, Lu, Marimari, and Keisaku. They were transferred to the center of Shibuya over 300 years into the future. What's waiting for them is endless wilderness and forest, Interspersed ruin, future citizens, and "Revisions" which are huge mechanical monsters. Trampled by the monsters without understanding the situation, a girl who has the same name as the person who saved Daisuke when he was abducted, Milo, provided a mobile suit "String Puppet" and told them to save Shibuya. With separated paths, adversaries, destined prophecies, the boys, and girls are on their journey to return to their original time. (Source: MAL News)

Revisions is a show that ultimately was kind of just mediocre to me. Let's start with the plot, five teens find themselves in a situation where they need to fight for humanities survival with in cool mecha fashion. They need to fight 'Revisions' (title drop 0^0) while also figuring out the mysteries around them. Not a bad story, and the executions were not terrible. My real gripe is with the main character, Daisuke Doujima. if one thing describes who he is, it's Hero Syndrome, Hero Complex, or Savior Complex, whatever you call it. This aspect of his character is one of the MOST ANNOYING THINGS EVER! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate all characters with this trait, infact I think it's something that can be fun and/or entertaining, like Izou Motobe from this recent Baki season. However, Dai…

The show starts off focusing on by far the most insufferable character ive seen in awhile. The protagonist has a hero complex and never shuts up about needing to save everyone every scene hes in it really grated on me for the first 3 episodes and he really only admits hes an insufferable twat 2/3 into the show. But he has character growth i guess. It ends up being a serviceable but not amazing story about five teenagers having the responsibility of saving humanity thrusted upon them. In the end it feels like your typical power of friendship stuff you see in alot of these Shonen shows. it tugged at my heartstrings a little at times but its nothing ill remember in a year im sure. Atleast its short.

Does it make sense to trust a stranger who just tried to kill you? Does it make sense to consider an enemy the stranger who just saved you from them? Logic says this makes no sense at all, yet for some reason the adults in Revisions are that incompetent, but this in turn is a non-spoiler example of how the show isn't thought out in the slightest. And sure, perhaps one can explain Mr. Muta's actions away as a very corrupt man looking out for his self-interest, but this only adds more questions on top of the ones already asked, such as how did such a person, corrupt as he is, becoming the leader of Shibuya in the first place, or why any of the adults would accept his decisions without ever questioning them. And this is where the plot falls apart -- well, that, and how annoying Daisuke is fo…

While Revisions shows a lot of promise in the first few episodes, but I think needed a much longer season to truly make sense. I feel it is probably another one cursed by Netflix. In some episodes not much happens, in other episodes you get Lore Dumps, Battles and confusing exposition. This is very typical for your average anime but for a 12 episode season it feels very confusingly paced. The closing 3 episodes are very chaotic and don't really make me feel like watching the previous ones were worth it. Additionally Daisuke's character kills any mood I had in investing in the show. Their only character trait is to complain and show off because they feel their destiny is to be awesome. With a few more episodes and some slightly adjusted items my review would be higher.

Summary: Revisions is a sci-fi thriller with an excessively annoying main character, somewhat intriguing plot, and decent animation. The overall story is interesting, although the pacing is a challenge. There are many intriguing parts of the plot that seem to have been slapped together, and the ending feels extremely rushed. If you like plot-driven stories and don’t mind a main character with a hero complex, this may be a good fit for you; however, I would not recommend this to most people, as it lacks substance and is overall a low-quality story. Story: 3/10 The plot could have been interesting, but the pacing ruins all the potential. Characters, especially the main character, go on absurd rants for ten minutes and then there’s action spontaneously. If the plot were woven together smooth…

First things first, this is a spoiler free review :) This anime is kinda unique because it has no manga or source material at all. At first, the main lead can be annoying and cringy, because of him mentioning his destiny and mission to protect everyone. But as you watch more episodes you see the character development happens. He slowly becomes a likable MC that just grows on you. There are a good amounts of emotional scenes too, as well as action scenes I really liked. I was annoyed and thinking of dropping the anime at first, but decided to watch more and eventually I really enjoyed the anime. Really hoping they make a Season 2 for this anime :)

The area this anime suffers the most is the animation... The CGI makes the characters look doll like and almost expressionless, which is unfortunate as there are some very emotional scenes that fall short of their potential because of it, the only scenes that are well animated are the flashback scenes of when the characters are kids. But what lacks on the outside is compensated by a good, if short and simple, story, even with a limited time to develope them the main characters, for better or worse, don't feel empty. An overall enjoyable 12 episodes which i wouldn't mind a sequel to, just improve the animation.

Whoa boy, where do I start? There’s a lot to take in here without trying to spoil too much here. Story: In the current day, a portion of Shubuya, Japan is transported into the future and most everyone doesn’t know what’s going on. After this happens, monsters, known as the Revisions, start showing up to capture and kill various citizens. A girl known as Milo shows up and gives five, seemingly normal, high schoolers mechs in order to fight them, known as the String Puppets. What we see on our journey is how these students, along with the leaders of the city, and Milo, deal with this occurrence and find out why it happened. A lot of the first few episodes gives us the information that we need while, in parallel, gives us various fights between the students and the Revisions. We’re given sh…

See this anime thinking the following: many people saw kaifuku an anime that is terrible that only gets a note for being basically a hentai that supplies the fetish of some.(That's my opinion) This anime has the problem of heavy CG so watch him thinking only about history and some moments of struggle. Taking into account this big problem, there are other small problems like the lack of impact in some scenes, but I believe that if this anime were made by a bigger studio it would be better in several points, but it is what we have for today. About this anime I can honestly say that the only problem is the heavy CG. I hope you like the anime !!!

It was one of the first anime I saw. I think the animation could improve. As for the script, I really liked it in the end. However, I think the beginning is a bit slow, and really the best part of it comes in the last chapters (where they made me really excited). It's a good script, but has it flaws. Maybe in the second part we'l see more development in this area. The characters are interesting, however they could be developed further. They are endearing, but they do not stand out much or make you fall in love with them. Without a doubt, I think the best thing about this anime is its latest chapters, which take a good turn, and a promising second part.

At the beginning, I really hated this series. The 3D graphic and character movement looked so unnatural and the protagonist was so annoying. The story was weird, the monsters ugly and I didn't like the behavior of the most characters. The protagonist thinking he was better than everyone else and he aggressively was hard to endure, but on the other hand, this made a great room for character development. Unfortunately, this happened way too late, and even if it made sense from a story point of view, but for everyone who might not like the protagonist, the first part of the Anime would be relatively horrible. (The same thing with Milo by the way, just in a little bit less annoying form) But episode after episode this Anime got better. I started to like the characters, the story begun to beco…

A lot of people say that the main character is annoying because he has a hero complex. But in my opinion, that is the least annoying thing here. First of all, all characters in this anime have an average IQ of 60. Something like this can often be seen in anime but in here it is just too much if you ask me. Next really annoying thing is, the character have unrealistic personalities and everything, from their emotions to reactions is over the top. It is just really forced. Also, those little scenes that will make you angry and wanting to beat up someone because you feel the injustice are also too obvious in here, but they are still on the usual(awful) level that is seen in poor anime and even in some better quality pieces. The story is pretty mediocre, and the world-building is nonexistent…

Revisions is one of those anime series where you just have to accept the insanity and go along with the ride. It’s the best way to enjoy a series like this and judging from the kind of stuff that’s in this series, probably the intended way. For a science fiction anime, the story is fairly original and not really anything I’ve seen before. I’ve always loved stories about groups of people being stranded somewhere unknown and fighting for their survival, and Revisions takes this concept to an extremely large scale. Instead of just a few people, all of Shibuya is transported into a post-apocalyptic future where dangerous creatures begin killing and kidnapping the residents, leaving only five teenagers with the ability to pilot mechs to stop them (can’t really get any more anime than that). O…

I have a habit of completing an anime that I start. So I got this anime recommended by Netflix and it's cover was really appealing so I gave it a shot. Took me 4-5 days to complete it because this anime is complete shit and I wanted a break from episode to episode from this shit show. I'll be straight to the point, I've never seen such a shit anime like this before. 1. Story - Well, story is nothing but they made it bit complicated because it has time travel in it. You will never know what's actually happening and where the series is trying to get to. Each episode doesn't really build up a story for rest of episodes but each episodes creates new plot holes and some of stuff doesn't even make sense because of characters. Each episode is rushed but it doesn't really matter because there is…

I'll make this extremely succinct: overall, the anime is interesting and a good way to pass time if you have nothing else to do (like I didn't). The story is decent, the construction of the characters could've been better, but, in the end, it's ok. Gai is plainly REAAAAALY annoying most of the anime and Daisuke is mildly annoying most of the anime (though they do redeem themselves in the final). The story could've been better structured and elaborated - as the characters could've been better thought (specially Gai and Daisuke); however, where it counts, the anime was really interesting and entertaining. The art of it was decent - although I do think the action scenes could've been improved: the animators just used waaay too much of CGI (and not in the good sense, such as Shingeki no Kyojin…

Whilst looking through Netflix I came upon this show and started watching it knowing absolutely nothing about it. It probably would have been better if I'd continued knowing nothing. My life is certainly none the richer for having spent any time with this show. Where to start? Well I suppose the appearance of the show. It looks disconcertingly ugly. Every character moves like an NPC in a mid-2000s video game. The facial expressions are borderline uncanny valley territory. Everything just looks and feels off. Then there's the dialogue. I've only watched this in dub, so maybe it's an issue with the dub, but I think it probably goes beyond that. At any rate, there's barely a line delivered that sounds like it came from the mouth of an actual human being. To describe the dialogue as clunky…

NOT ACTUALLY BAD I think the main reason people give it a bad rating is because either the art is SUPER cgi or the MC can be a whiney bitch. But I honestly hated how it looked but I got used to it eventually, and the MC *minor spoiler* has great development. lowkey reminds me of how eren from attack on titan can be. If you can just manage those 2 things, you're in for a treat. this anime has a pretty cool concept and even if it isn't the deepest or original anime, it definitely has a good story to keep you interested. The pacing can be a bit wonky but not too bad. I honestly really enjoyed this even though I considered not watching it just because of the animation style. PLS watch it despite the bad animation style! I give the character an 8 because maybe they kept the mc an annoying brat…

I almost didn't watch this because of the reviews. I am so pleased that I did. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Binged the entire thing in one evening. Each episode seamlessly moved into the next. Was like watching a long movie. The character development was good, the story was fun and the animation was great. The CGI weirded me out for the first several minutes but then I got used to it and actually started to like it. Basically it shows me that I really need to try things myself and not base my decision to watch things on others opinions.

"Anime is filled with goody two shoes white knight virgin MC's why wont we get some flawed MC that isnt the complete embodiment of a nice guy?" "Wow Daisuke is so annoying why wont he die already?" Anime fans can never be pleased and this anime proves it. Story: Time travel shenanigans, mutant time travelling aliens gonna give it to ya, hero complex, time travels, my special power is to be pedophile and HARV help us for the love of god. Art: After episode 2 or 3 you are totally inmunized against the CGI in this anime. I felt that the art was great and the characters looked good, i also apreciated the character design of most of the characters (except the revision sisters). Sound: There are several instances in which you could imagine a evil guy laughing maniacally because anime, some…

Gotta be honest, there is a lot of ass and female contrapposto. They managed to slip in lots of crotch shots, fan service, a bath scene and some typical anime cliches. I don't understand why such a dramatic anime needed to be sex'd up so much. CGI is one of the worst I've seen. Like more stiff than Kingdom Season 1. Characters are generic. The story is sub-par and should have finished with only one season. It would be better if the story ended here but it looks like they will drag it to another season. Main character is super annoying and bratty for the most part. Mc has major hero complex and is way too arrogant to the point nobody likes him. It's not a very fun watch but I grinded through it to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The story was decent but many things just felt lack…
