May I Ask for One Final Thing?

May I Ask for One Final Thing?

Introduction

Ever since childhood, Scarlet El Vandimion has preferred to deal with wrongdoers by using her fists. However, to preserve her family's image, she suppresses her instincts and tolerates the abuse inflicted by her childish fiancé, Second Prince Kyle Von Pallistan. Only Kyle's brother, First Prince Julius, is aware that there is more to Scarlet than meets the eye, but she cares little about his growing interest. In the middle of a ball, Kyle accuses Scarlet of harassing Terenezza Hopkins, a commoner that has taken his heart. Scarlet's engagement to Kyle is nullified, leaving her outraged that all of her efforts to endure thus far have amounted to nothing. Scarlet dons her studded leather gloves, once again becoming the "Mad Dog Princess." Joined by Julius and werebeast Nanaka, Scarlet is ready to give filthy nobles a taste of their own medicine—one punch at a time. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

So how to describe this anime in a short review? Well the animation is fine tho i feel like animation havent been a problem for most seasonal shows since like 2019. The characters are often paper thin tho their one personality trait are in most cases quite funny. My main complaint about the show is how it feels like it tries to compile three seasons worth of material into a 12 episode runtime which is to the shows detriment as the conflict barely manages to get started before its solved. So if you like a show where the plotlines are made for the tiktok brain then i can reccomend it but if you arent im hesitant.

Absolutely amazing! She's a strong female lead who doesn't let herself get taken advantage of. If you like to see people getting punched or what they deserve, you'll like this anime. It's unique and funny especially in a kingdom where there's magic. The art is very pretty and fits it so well to her strong personality. I think people would enjoy it, it's short and cute. I watched this after a break up and it made me feel way better. The prince is also not perfect, which makes him more realistic, he has his flaws. That's what makes him likeable. The other characters are also have their own charm.

The anime is good and immediately engaging; the fight scenes are solid. However, the romance between the protagonists is really tedious. There are so many moments where Julius is on the verge of winning Scarlet over, only to make a joke that causes her to pull back. I mean, if you like her, just say so, you know? There’s no need for all that drama. That’s on Julius, really; Scarlet held back precisely because of those ambiguous comments. Basically, he was sabotaging his own chances. I definitely preferred her with Alphreim; he always called her "dear" and "my fiancée." His intentions were clear from the very start, as were his undeniable feelings for her. Their interactions were great and funny—far more interesting than the dynamic between Scarlet and Julius. Another thing: at one point…

I’m going to start with this WATCH THE DUB! Having watched when it was originally airing I didn’t think to much of the show, thought it was just the average fantasy world show I believe I originally gave the show a 5/10, it wasn’t bad just average. When a friend recommended I watch a couple of episodes in dub I thought, sure why not let’s see what happens there, and I ended up binge watching the whole show, Scarlett’s English VA was, and I don’t say this lightly, PERFECT! Her delivery of every single line, every bitch used, every emotion change, she just fit so well I was shocked. I didn’t find it anywhere near as funny when I watched in the sub compared to watching the dub and that has surprised me. Never thought I’d say it but the dub carries this show so heavily, I haven’t properly e…

I'm a huge fan of this anime! Definitely one of my favorites from the Fall 2025 season. Very, very rarely do we get a female lead who's badass in a shoujo or josei anime. But finally, we get a badass female lead, I love it! It's such a breath of fresh air. But not only is the female lead awesome, but the dialogue and story are funny. Seriously, this is one of the best josei/shoujo anime I've seen. In recent years, I feel like many shoujo/josei animes have been half-assed. They're usually given poor animation and don't have the greatest stories. But this one, the animation looks great and the story is pretty good! Usually, I prefer romance anime, but I really wouldn't call this all that much of a romance anime. And honestly? I don't think that's a bad thing. I really like seeing Scarlett…

What the fah did I just watch bro.....it was an overall ok watch until last episode where everything was resolved with the power of love and I almost died from cringe to the point that I started to feel bad for the villainess. The fl was ok but the ml is so tacky oh lord, I am just so tired of the typical "shes not like other girls" troupe for the ml to get interested in the fl, like ok I get shes different and its such an overused troupe and the ml being ur typical sly dude whose always smiling but shows a different side towards the fl just feels cheap copy paste of what used to be popular troupe. On top of that, the fl and mls dynamic is rather meh and their romance is extremely bland and progressed fast due to being "I have always had an interest on you" troupe. Overall, its somewhat ok…

May I Ask for One Final Thing is harmless if a little repetitive, and it focuses on its badass Mary Sue punchy punchy lady with gusto. Some might find that a con but I don't think the series is even long enough to really see that as an issue. Honestly, it's a cute and short little show that sticks to its gimmick from start to finish with no deviation. It has solid animation but nothing totally mindblowing and a plot that has very little in the way of interesting hooks beyond its premise. I won't go into spoilers about the big twist I think is an interesting shake up from the normal formula you see in these sorts of shows, I'm sure other reviews will already do that. But I'm gonna give my honest take and give it a 6.5. I'm ranking it a 7 because I can't do half way and I think for the fac…

May I Ask for One Final Thing is a very pretty anime. I love the design of both the heroine and the villainess. The story itself is nothing spectacular but I love the overall pacing, the comedy and the fights. It's a really fun watch. The premise is a bit unique but at the end of the day, it's really just watching a strong female main character beat the crap out of everybody. There's slight romance but it's tame. I love her banters with the prince. The fight scenes (though one sided for the overpowered mc) is fun and satisfying to watch. Overall, it's not world shattering but it's a very enjoyable show.

This is a good one to add to the list of “villainess-esque anime for when you want something of that flavor but don’t want a heavy romance focus.” I remember “May I Ask for One Final Thing?” being promoted hardcore online, leading to a lot of hype, but I can’t help but feel overall lukewarm about this one. As mentioned above, this one definitely has more of a comedy and intrigue focus to it, but it also taps into a pretty whatever romance every once in a while. This “blah” feeling mostly comes from the fact that a handful of different romantic interests exist around the female lead, and of course, she ends up with the least interesting one that she high key has very little chemistry with (the crown prince). I was so disappointed that she didn’t have more interactions with Vankish, who wo…

(EN-PT) The anime starts off decently, but falls apart very quickly once the initial novelty wears off. After a few episodes, it becomes painfully repetitive and feels like it keeps recycling the same ideas over and over again without adding anything interesting. The comedy completely missed the mark for me, and since the series heavily depends on it, a lot of scenes end up feeling empty instead of entertaining. The villain is also terrible, with a motivation that feels dumb and nonsensical, making the entire conflict hard to take seriously. The characters overall are bland, forgettable, and poorly handled, which makes it even harder to care about what’s happening. In the end, this anime just feels generic and mediocre. There are way better series out there doing the same thing with far…

I must say the anime started of great, like most of the reviews mentioned, but man, the romance does ruin this show for me. The art, especially Scarlet is just so nicely made, shes gorgeous, but when it comes to the guys, i feel its made more for the female audience. Especially when there is a FM. Over all the show wasnt bad, and if your into the "noble/highness" type romance you might actually fancy this. But personally thats the one thing that ruined this show for me. i suggest just giving a watch, for me personally since i cant drop shows, it was really hard to finish the anime. Even so at least the characters grew slightly. expect from the "noble" prince or the main love interest, which again, ruins it for me. I dont know whether its just a bad character, or that its actually just n…

I almost dropped this once or maybe even twice, but kept with it because an anituber I follow really liked it. I'd like to say it just isn't for me, but an otome character that solves all of her problems by punching them should be interesting. It should be funny, or hardcore, or compelling in some other way. Unfortunately, it feels like the show peaked with the first episode. I was teased with this unique character that people don't understand, but once she got a steadfast ally in the prince, it just turned into a standard war plot. I can't say it's bad. It introduces a couple good characters and stages a few good fights after the introduction. There's just so much opportunity in the premise, including in the nature of the ultimate antagonist, and the well just doesn't feel tapped. Make t…

The characters had alright but cool designs. (7/10) The art style was fine. (6/10) The MC: I thought she was good. I liked her because it did not feel like forced girlbossing, if that makes sense. The plot was pretty good. (8/10) The Antagonist (8/10): Just an insert evil human in a fantasy world, but wholly, it was nice seeing her get Mike Tyson punched at the end. Side Characters (6/10) Some were annoying, and some of them actively cause more problems for the MC. Somewhat Rounded Story (7/10) Notes: - The dub is good and really funny. - The plot does get slow at times. - The love interest is kinda bland and uninteresting. Overall: 7/10. Would recommend.

A shoujo/josei anime that feels as if it is written by a shounen writer. I know this isn't the case but it really feels like it. As you know most shoujo/josei fans are starved for anime and speaking as a shoujo/josei fan, this anime disappointed me and left me wishing it were different. Lets start with the main character Scarlet. She is a huge disappointing protagonist. Its nice that I guess she is different then your typical shoujo protag. She is very one sided and too powerful, I know that's the gimmick of the anime but honestly it feels lazy and exhausting. Her only draw back is that if she uses too much of her power she passes out, which really isn't such a draw back considering it happens after her fights and she recovers well. She is very one sided and has no real character develop…

Punching Master Scarlet-san was a fun gimmick, and probably worth a watch (or at least a few episodes of it) just for that, but it doesn't go beyond that. The series starts more or less like any other similar series, with the only difference being the punch gimmick. It was fun at the beginning, and was still fun later, although progressively less so. For a series that only had this one thing going for it, they didn't even give us enough of it, and the overall lacking animation did not try any harder for most of the punches. I would normally consider it unfair to judge a series in this genre like I would an action series, but again, the only thing this had going for it was the punch gimmick. Romance was at best a "meh", clearly an afterthought. The red-haired side character was likely a f…

Have you ever seen one of those WebToon/Cdrama’s where the MC gets betrayed by her fiancé and think: “wow, I wish she’d just punch him in the face.” If the answer is yes, this is the anime for you! Because that’s the whole thing summarized, honestly. It opens with the MC beating the shit out of her abusive ex-fiancé, his bitch of a girlfriend, and all the corrupt nobles who supported him. Then she goes on to beat up slavers, a foreign prince who is a little too into it, evil priests, and eventually a whole Goddess. Along the way she collects a harem of men, half of who want her to beat them up to some extent too. It’s just great. Also watching the dub is a must. The way Scarlett says 'bitch' lives rent-free in my head to this day. I recommend if you enjoy watching pretty girls beat the…

Blood Red Dress Are The Best May I Ask for One Final Thing? is a show about the simple pleasures in life, the pleasure of a fist hitting its target, and feeling every bone crunching. It's not a show about character arcs, It's not a show about the plot lines, It's a show about seeing evil people getting absolutely destroyed. It's pleasant to watch, the prince and main girls character dynamic is fun, but it never really escapes the surface level entertainment My biggest problem with enjoying it, it's so black and white and the villains are so evil that they are perfect for getting punched, but they are almost irritating in how onenote they are. It looks fine, It has good sound effects, There is nothing wrong on the production, and the character art style is very bright with good color.

I completed this anime series on December 28 2025 within one single day. The series primarily belongs to the Shōjo and Josei genres which target female viewers yet I enjoyed the show as a male viewer who loves anime. The show features Shōnen style action which makes its fight scenes enjoyable to watch. I do not remember all story elements. The main story begins with Scarlet who is engaged to Second Prince Kyle who creates ongoing difficulties for her throughout the years. At a party, Kyle falsely accuses Scarlet in front of everyone and breaks off the engagement. Scarlet requests one last request before she begins to fight Prince and his entire group. She works together with First Prince Julius to eliminate other dishonest nobles. You should give this anime a chance. The action delivers…

A huge slap of missed opportunities. Story: 5 At first glance, it has really good promises, but it falls short of them really quickly. Sure, it can be funny sometimes, but using the same jokes in nearly every episode is just boring. The repetitive nature of this anime is its greatest weakness. Predictable, some episodes are straight boring. The twists are annoying most of the time, because they feel forced. Another painful aspect of the title is the chain of missed opportunities. It would be much more enjoyable with the given chances of variety, but the author said no for enjoyment. The main villain has one of the worst and annoying motives for what she's doing. To make things even worse, the anime simply unable to create tension, despite the many chances for it. Characters: 5 They're as…
