It feels like someone watched a handful of other fantasy anime and thought, “I can do this better”—but unfortunately, that’s not what happened here. The premise had potential, and the core story could have been compelling. But instead of developing the world and characters meaningfully, most of the 12 episodes are filled with filler-like, directionless content.
The pacing suffers immensely from trying to compress a potentially rich narrative into too few episodes, leaving behind a hollow shell of what might’ve been. The atmosphere of the anime feels stuck between eras—too dated to match modern visual standards, yet not old enough to be considered stylistically retro. Visually, it's forgettable.
Overall, both the story and the art style are unremarkable. I struggled to stay awake through…

This has to be the worst anime i have ever watched. Not only are the characters as interesting as paint drying, there is AN ENTIRE EPISODE OF FILLER IN A 12 EPISODE ANIME, there wasnt even an ending it just cuts off, it wasnt funny, the plot twists didnt make sense, also why does the mc not even have a name? They just say "hey you" or something like that. Its hard to even make fun of the show because nothing is worth watching ironically. The animation was pretty boring and stiff, there was cgi used which didnt look awful. Nothing about the anime was enjoyable, though there was one scene that made me chuckle because i didnt expect it, but its not nearly enough to save this dumpster fire of a cash grab.

The first 11 episodes are ruined by such a poorly written ending. Like the whole series just ended up being set up, with no clear indication of what it was setting up. So the audience has no understanding of what they're supposed to be anticipating in a potential sequel. Apparently the source material was a game? Was this supposed to be a 9 hour cutscene to set up the plot of the game? an Advertisement maybe? A writing team forced to only use material that didn't interfere with the plot of the game? I really don't know. And frankly, I never will know because I never plan on playing the game after the time I wasted being led along and then dropped at the door of some cash-grab mobile game.
Overall, this series was a complete waste of time. The concept was great, but I question the real goa…

I've never written an anime review before, so let that tell you something right off the bat, this anime was so horrible that I feel compelled to write a short review to warn anyone who may be interested in watching this absolute garbage.
I'll keep it short: The plot is all over the place, the story is brutal, the characters come and go and their motivations are shallow at best and make literally no sense at worst and this is by FAR the worst ending I've ever witnessed in all my 400 ish series I've completed.
That is all, this is absolute trash and I wish I didn't waste my time on this garbage.

The fact that this show had so much potential but at the right moment takes the worst and most unexpected turn with every episode ending there stays a new hope of a better next EP but this show messes up that so bad overall worst anime I ever watched you better watch boruto that this dumb excuse of an anime.
The character design were pretty good art style decent enough but the plot it just skips from being a peasant who lost his family to a knight in just 1 EP.
It had so many time skips and unnecessary the potential was good two kingdoms light and dark they can't be united heroes goal unite them by becoming the dark king...

I was drawn to this anime, because the art looked like final fantasy with a moe edgelord as the protagonist. I wasn't expecting it to be great or anything, but I was hoping it'd at least fill the gap while I was knitting something for a friend's kid.
WELL. Fill the gap it did, just not in the way I expected. The first episode moved so fast that I couldn't remember if they'd ever said the protagonists name. By episode 2, I realized they were avoiding it entirely, and by episode 3, I realized that the terribly generic and uninspiring moniker of "Prince of Darkness" WAS his name. Now, this is not the first anime to use generic roles or titles as names instead of you know, actual names. Maou to Yuusha did the same thing to great effect a number of years ago. But you see, Maou to Yuusha was GO…

Another POS anime with a horrible ending!!!
Even if the game, manga or w/e did not have a decisive ending why can't they at least make a decent ending for the anime?!!!
WTH.. lets leave the viewers hanging with no clear clear hint of what to really expect!
This is so bad there will probably be no season 2!
It's just so infuriating to watch an anime hoping for a good ending or at least a decent conclusion!!
But no they have to screw it up & end with a person just floating and laughing like a lunatic!
The worst part was the ending!!!! Again, WTH, REALLY???!!no conclusive ending!!
THANKS A LOT, WHAT A F****N WASTE OF TIME!!
I enjoy watching anime!
A lot of people do!
The Male protagonist was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
I was expecting him to make it in time since he grew wings to save the day!

I don't understand all the hate. it had real potential................til the ending.
WARNING: Small spoilers included for the ending of show and for ending of kong vs godzilla.
which is literally one of the worst endings I ever seen. A nobody wins, everyone loses ending. hell even the new Kong vs Godzilla movie ending was better, atleast there was a clear victor if it wasn't for Robozilla interfering and then they all of sudden become buddy buddy. Literally no winner when the entire damn show was around a war.
so in the end if you don't mind disappointing endings, its a decent show.........til he end................... then its just awful. like 1 point score bad

Well... It's not a good anime is the best way to sum up Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle.
We start out really bad, with a nameless character who by the way never gets a name. The largest problem is that he is the most interesting character. Now the main character being the most interesting would be a good thing if we actually spent any amount of time on him, but we kind of don't.
At first we do get to see him quite a bit as we see him become the prince of darkness and the first heir to the throne of darkness. However after that we just start focusing way too heavily of the queen of light's side of the story. We still see the main character, but honestly we explain the kingdom of light way better than dark. The same could be said for the queen vs the prince.
There are a few points whe…

The only way to summarize this anime is a waste of time - as a viewer you will garner absolutely nothing from this awful series.
I was drawn to watch this because of the beautiful art - the artists have really done an incredible job and it is a shame that their efforts have been put into a terrible script.
As for the story - almost immediately you are disoriented wondering 'what is going on', as characters are very poorly introduced. This confusion is not resolved, only worsened as the story progresses. We are led to believe there is a war and two nations who have a poor understanding of the other think poorly of the other - yawn - cliche. However these nations will for about two episodes become friends in a total abandonment from the original genre.
Most of the characters are extremely…

Somewhat generic, but not at all at the same time.
Its refreshing to see anime with darker story without overblown fanservice. Without over the top action and MC, that doesnt behave like a generic teen moron.
Why would i rank it in so high regard? Well... that would be the ending. Without sunshine, rainbows and glitter, full on melancholy and dred.
Yes, there are stereotypes, but i cant say i remember other anime with the exact same spin and flavor on them.
So yes... Id say it was refreshing change of pace to all those isekais and whatnot, that studios spits out all the time now

This anime really tested my patience. The pacing and even genre of the whole show is up in the air for every episode. Starting off with an episode that sets up the main character in a brutal world of monsters and survival of the fittest. A couple of episodes in we are treated to slice of life cooking and joking around in the forest.
Honestly it just feels so disjointed, and characters that act idiotic or does things that their character has not built up to just ruins the series for me. The main character, if you can call him that since he's on screen less than most of the side characters, is so apathetic that there is no way for anyone to identify or relate to him. Smiling from time to time and reflecting over the status quo is not character building.
If you value your time at all, stay…

NGL, by far the worst anime I have ever watched. I honestly hate the creators for stealing 4 1/2 hours of my life from me which could have been used to do literally ANYTHING but this garbage.90% of the show foreshadows an OP protagonist powerup/moment, but when it actually happens, he gets to the scene too late and doesn't achieve anything. If he hadn't arrived, the outcome would still have been everyone dying.
This is what pissed me off the most. Either you let the good guys win but die, or you let the good guys win and live happily ever after, or you let the bad guys win and the good guys die. What you DON'T do is make EVERYBODY lose, so that it's absolutely pointless from start to finish.
And I thought the jewel was supposed to be sentient. If so, it should have just told Iris to wait 5…

This was the WORST anime i have ever seen, i can’t comprehend what the hell they were thinking when they made this. And the ending, THAT was the kicker, worst and most pointless 12 episodes to ever exist. If you’re thinkIn about watching it, prepare to be disappointed. I LITERALLY MADE AND ACCOUNT ON THIS SITE JUST SO I COULD ROAST THIS ANIME, IT WAS THAT BAD LIKE COME ON WTF. IVE NEVER DONE THIS TO ANY OTHER ANIME AND I PROBABLY WON’T DO IT AGAIN BECAUSE NOT MUCH COULD TOP THIS CRAP STAIN OF A SHOW. OH MY GOD!!!

It could of been so much better had it not been so rushed. There was no time shown to prove any bond between the prince and queen. He only ever fought once in the whole series basically.
If this had had 24 episodes and they showed more character development it could have made a decent anime. Sad to say i wasted my time.
The ending was confusing as hell, did the queen die?? did the prince die?? what happened to their friends??
Also the main character never had a name at all during the series
Havent seen such a rushed anime in a while.
There should of been more development on, his Power itself, his friends, his time with the queen, his time with his instructor (who should of played a bigger part), the man who gave the main character his sword (never saw the battle between him and the king)…

First off let me say the Synopsis does not reflect the current 'Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle", but likely refers to one of their other works or planned works.
I also don't feel quite as harshly about this show as others have, I do agree that last 2 episodes felt like they phoned it in and didn't try but it could simply be a weak set up for their next 'step' if there is one. This is not a show that pushing the limits, it's not trying to do anything ground breaking and will likely never be anything more then a 'decent' watch at best. It follows a fairly generic trope as most anime do and it does so fairly well, I can only imagine the other reviewers expect every show they watch to cause an epiphany or be some groundbreaking masterpiece.
It's a fun and somewhat cute 'decent' watch tha…

This anime started out soooo good but it changes soooo sudden; the pace of the anime can best be described by the anime "Angel Beats!" except Angel Beats! has a better 12 episode anime summary of the story.
The anime absolutely needed another 12 episodes, at least, to feel like a well-paced anime but I understand...budget. Keeping *BUDGET* in mind, what they delivered is decent (to good) but definitely INCOMPLETE and rushed (because they were constrained to 12 episode); I hope the manga isn't actually like the anime in pacing lol.
Most of the characters were flushed out and guessing what some of their personalities were going to be was quite obvious, nothing new as far as anime goes. The same kind of goes for major plot points that occur in the anime.

Honestly, if you're on the fence and aren't sure because of the top reviews and rating, give it a shot anyways. People ripped this series a new one, and it was already on my list to watch, so I just binged it. I don't regret it at all!
This series gave a great foundation to the plot for the first half, and then was fast-paced in the 2nd half, as is typical in a 12-13 episode series. However, I felt the build-up and twists that come in the second half are really not that bad. If you think back on the story and how each action lead to where you end up, it really does logically make sense. But, you need to view it as a game progression and as if you're watching the video for a game versus watching an anime based on a webcomic or manga. Game construction is very different than other stories,…

Up to watching and completing this anime, 11 eyes was my least favourite anime just because I had some moral complaints about part of the story, which ruined the anime for me personally.
HOWEVER, Shironeko Project takes the cake. There is no comparison to anything I've ever watched, it's just that bad.
In my opinion it started off okay and I was able to at least enjoy the setting and the genres, up to episode 7.
After episode 7 however, things just go downhill faster than light travels and it just got the point where I'm so annoyed at the anime, so frustrated so irritated that even after complaining about it on social media and after thinking about it, it still is getting on my nerves.
If you want to watch anything decent, DON'T WATCH THIS ANIME, it's not decent at all, it will only trigge…

Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle is about the struggle between light and darkness. In general, it is an underdeveloped story, being its weakest point. And also a very hurried ending.
The characters are quite correct, although they don't really get to be passionate. There's a lack of depth in them. The male protagonist has a somewhat flat personality, but he does his job well. The female protagonist also looks good.
As for the designs, they're medium level, they're not horrible, but they don't stand out either.
The ending is very rushed, and I'm sure it will leave many people unhappy, but it's not bad at all.
The Opening is of a high level, while the music in general doesn't stand out too much.
In general, it's an entertaining anime, but with great shortcomings in its story, lack of d…
