[Hood Review]
WHEW MAN… man, MAN. 😂 This show is SUPER packed with story and so many damn plot twists. I swear this shit felt like it had 100 episodes in it because it was just SO MUCH going on. 😭
Now this is NOT your typical anime if u looking for something with a lot of fighting. Every episode ain’t throwing hands, so if u need constant action, this probably ain’t the show for u gang. 😂
This is one of them shows u really gotta sit your ass down and LOCK IN, because u can miss one small detail and be completely lost 10 minutes later. There were so many times I was sitting there like “WAIT… WHAT TF IS GOING ON??” just for the show to eventually explain some shit and have me like “OHHHHHH SHIT!” 😂
It’s definitely a slow-paced, very well thought out show, but the pacing actually work…

Imagine being away from your hometown for whatever reason, and then suddenly finding out that someone close to you has died. You go back home for the funeral, only to find out that their death wasn't an accident and that something seriously messed up is going on. Before you know it, you're dragged into all these creepy and mysterious events.
That's Summer Time Rendering.
It starts off with a big shock, keeps throwing unexpected things at you, and somehow manages to stay exciting pretty much the whole way through. Summer Time Rendering does all of that really well. And this is exactly what I want from a mystery TV show. A mystery show needs to keep you guessing and make you want to see what happens next.
You know when you tell yourself, "I'll just watch one more episode," and suddenly…

It’s by far not a perfect series snd certainly wears its flaws on its sleeves but I couldn’t help be infatuated by it.
Even though the concept is very intriguing it could’ve been used more effectively.
Strangely enough I think this is most similar to stranger things but it has something that show mutilated by its inept writers and Netflix executives could never have: Heart.
I think that the main takeaway from this silly little thriller turned action flick is always hold hope and to remind those close to you that you hold them dear. Bit sentimental and sappy but it’s nice to be like that sometimes. If you love your whole life looking purely at the negatives I don’t think you can ever be fulfilled.

Watching Summer Time Rendering was such an anxiety-inducing experience that I genuinely wasn't sure how I felt about it until it was over. Once I could finally step back and reflect, though, I realised just how much I loved it. The mystery completely hooked me, the twists constantly caught me off guard, and every loop kept me invested. At the same time, the story could be incredibly frustrating, especially with Shinpei repeatedly falling into traps and getting outplayed by Shide and Haine. The time-loop mechanics and Shadow powers also became unnecessarily convoluted, creating several plot holes and making the story feel messier than it needed to be.
What ultimately made it work for me was the cast. I loved these characters, villains included, and the emotional weight behind each loop gav…

A bit of a slow start, but bear with it.
It took me maybe 5-6 episodes to really get into it, but trust me this shows picks up the pace and then doesn't stop.
It is a mix of mystery, strategy and action.
One of the first things I noticed was the quality of the production, and the appealing design of the characters.
The guys look good, as in they are not drawn like superman, but are also by no means the usual short nerds you see in a lot of anime.
The girls look fantastic, as in very very cute, but also they are not sexualized at all (for the most part).
The anime starts with our MC sticking his head into a giant pair of boobs, so this might give you a specific kind of impression for what to expect from this anime; however this basically never happens again. Other than this and showing a…

I've watched 500+ anime and this was a rare 10/10 for me.
If you like time-related anime like Steins;Gate, Erased, or Re:Zero, you'll probably enjoy this too. The story feels similar in some ways, but the whole shadow thing makes it stand out and feel unique. Even predictable parts didn't bother me because the setup is just that good.
The animation is 10/10 and the art style fits the story perfectly. Characters felt realistic, they had actual flaws and strengths, and their reactions like showing fear made sense. It never felt like they were missing something obvious or acting stupid just for the plot.
I know unique anime isn't for everyone, but if those titles I mentioned are your thing, give this a try. It might be your cup of tea.

Overall: 8/10
In short, if you enjoy anime with drama, mystery, time loops, suspense, and a story that actually feels planned from beginning to end, Summer Time Rendering is definitely worth watching.
However, if excessive fan service is something that really annoys you, then this anime might test your patience. The story is strong, but the constant sexualization of some female characters can be irritating and, at times, distracting.
Art: 8/10
The art is very good. The anime looks clean, the character designs are appealing, and the darker scenes work well with the mystery and horror atmosphere.
The female characters are especially well drawn, but that also connects to one of my main problems with the anime: the fan service. There are too many scenes focusing on thighs, exposed bodies, a…

This is 9/178 of trying to watch every single Time Travel anime on MAL
Recently, I asked my friends for an anime to recommend me that is time travel, the suggestion I got was from one of them was this, Summer Time Rendering, and yeah, it's interesting, I have quite a bit of thoughts on this anime.
What It's About
-------------------
This show follows Shinpei, as he returns back to his hometown island after one of his old friends died. When he gets there, he starts to witness strange things. There's something deeper going on, and it's involving these mysterious beings called "shadows".
What I Liked
----------------
The mystery was really good in this show. For the first 3/4 of this show, there's a great deal of some amazing mystery and suspense. I won't spoil too much, but the time trave…

Watched it last year. It was better than what I expected and the mystry that surrounds the whole show kept you to stick to the show. The main villian twist was very awsome. overall a great watch.
THE animation is amazing and over all show is very beautiful and plottwists are amazing and the whole story bunchups in just 25 episodes is amazing and no more wait for another bunch of seasons to complete the story.
The main character is not a simp, this anime is not about love but about friendship more and also about how some one with their intrest to seeing their love ones can destroy others.
The side characters are good as well, their decisions impacts the whole show, but the intensity that this show builds at the end is another level

Theme
Something between slice of life, thriller, and mystery with aspects of battle shounen.
Why giving it a rather high grade?
The story is very interesting and has you basically hooked immediately.
It's not your generic storyline; it's extremely hard to know what happens next, even if you consider all the information the anime gives you. So for the ones loving to speculate, it's great.
Characters are distinct and detailed; there's lots of unique characters.
Setting is unique and simple, but definitely not boring. Why not 10/10?
The story looks written linearly.
So, episode 1 got written without thinking about episode 2–25, then episode 2, then 3, and so on. <- *Speculation*
This causes the story-writer to build rules or set flags to what's about to happen without even knowing what con…

Do you remember the classic 1956 movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers, or its 1978 remake? There, the aliens look exactly like humans and try to take over humanity. And the 2012 Bruce Willis movie Looper? The main characters travel in time, and sometimes they even have to fight against themselves? And of course, you all know those stories where the main character returns to the city of his childhood and strange things start happening there. That's what this anime consists of in a nutshell. Here we have everything it is loved for, an interesting plot, high-quality graphics, and a large portion of fan service. It's really a very interesting anime, but for me it was overloaded with action, pathos, and standard anime clichés. A little too much action, the story always keeps you in suspense. Th…

Right off the bat its mystery is very engaging and keeps you on edge. It's the kind of setting where anything could go wrong at any moment. Having watched The Boys, whenever there was a still shot of someone smiling or something I would immediately imagine that their head would be cut off or something. Really engaging and because of its shocking scenes, really emotional. I was attached to the characters almost instantly.
Soundtrack was good (excluding OPs and endings), it had a recurring theme and was effective. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding though. I’ve thought numerous times that some sound effects sounded familiar like I’d heard them somewhere else.
It’s got a fair bit of mythology which kept me engaged but in the end it did not turn out perfectly. There are also some details that…

This anime is undoubtedly a hidden gem.
The characters (and their development), the story, the plot twists, the subplots, the settings, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the explanations of unusual concepts, the conceptual idea behind it all, everything is very well done and very well connected. Except for a few details, such as some things not being explained sufficiently, leaving you with a few doubts, and Shinpei's character may seem intolerant to some, but otherwise it is a great work.
This is the kind of anime that generates many emotions at once, one of those anime that convey their entire essence and draw you fully into the story. Being highly immersive, you empathize with the characters and understand the difficult situations they face in each episode.
Personally, I highly recomme…

Summer Time Rendering was one of those anime that I watched at a time when I didn’t really prefer long series. Back in early 2023 (around 22 Jan to late Feb / early March), I randomly found it on Bollyflix while I was searching for Drifting Home. I kept telling myself, “Nahi dekhna, nahi dekhna,” but somehow I still ended up starting it — and thank God I did.
From the beginning itself, the series pulls you in with its time-travel twist and that eerie horror vibe. This was actually the first time I ever came across the word “Doppelgänger”, and it honestly blew my mind that such stories exist. The blend of mystery, supernatural elements, and looping timelines creates a very unique atmosphere.
The story begins with the MC Shinpei Ajiro returning to his hometown for the funeral of his childh…

Short review:
Animation 9,5/10. Exceptional in every bit and awesome at the end
Story 10/10: Very welll build and though, all of it makes sense and is very complete. At the end it goes to another level and becomes even better.
Ending: 10/10
Characters: 9. All of them are really good and well defined, Shinpei is a really good protagonist and the rest of the main cast is really good too. Villains: 9/10. They are very complex and in some times really REALLY evil, they are very well build too and very strong.
Music: 8. Pretty good
Openings and Endings 8. Very good songs, the first OP does not show much animation or characters but has a good song, the second has both, the endings are good too.
Final Rating: 9,75-10

The one shot anime/manga we never knew we need.
PS: Giving you guys overview without spoiling it (that's how peaked it is) I do not want to ruin the fun for our fellow watchers/readers
The story revolves around the mc name shinpe and ushio and supportings what felt like secondary mc's as the story progress such as mio, nagumo and ryou. The suspence, thrill, mystery, minimal comedy, and tears..... the way they put the background music along with the scene made it a masterpiece. You may find the story complex since they're rewritting the history and future but when you come to understand it, you'll be amazed how the author, director and the studio staff put soo much effort, dedication and love into this masterpiece. It reminds me of angel beats for some reason but in a more mystery directi…

This is what Re:Zero tried to be but failed.
Summertime Rendering has 10/10 story and pacing; with a thoroughly compelling premise, twists throughout the plotline, characters you care about, significant stakes alongside a cleverly constructed ticking clock, protagonists getting the better of antagonists and antagonists getting the better of protagonists, etc. etc., it has everything I could have asked for and didn't know I wanted to ask for. It strikes a nice tone that is dark and serious with balanced variance here and there that prevents it from being dour. The animation itself and music were also solid. Is it perfect? No, but nothing is. I loved this anime, and I think it'll be rewatchable as heck. If I were to describe it to a friend, I'd say it's something like a crossover between Jo…

A fun story, with more than a few likeable characters, and some genuinely scary/disturbing moments. I loved the ending overall, and the final episode specifically. And although some people have complained, the final villain (and their motivation) did work for me. Happy to give it a positive rating overall.
However, there are a few caveats:
1. The fanservice is off-putting enough that I almost dropped my rating to a 6. Having so many weirdly sexualizing angles and close-ups of teens is just gross.
2. The horror/mystery element is lost too soon. It's fine that it's replaced by more action-y type stuff later, but I wish the eerie atmosphere from the early episodes stayed a bit longer.
3. Not sure that all the complicated details make sense on further inspection post-viewing.

Starts off extremely good, but gets so contrived it's not even funny. Like the writer couldn't keep up with his own story so he had to just say things to make them true and hope the audience just accepts it. It's really good in the macro, but the micro is just full of contrivances, many unforgiveable, but the story just moves right through them so you just have to accept them, but at a certain point they just become so ridiculous. And then the main villain at the end is just so cliché and boring. But I really liked the ending and the overall story. If you can turn you brain off a bit and not think too much about the small details, its fine. But they really bothered me. It could have been a solid 9, but it's more of a 7.9. Shiki is a similar show and much better executed. Summertime Renderi…

Summertime Rendering is a fantastic show right from the beginning. It involves time-loops which I have a particular fondness for, and uses them as the basis for an excellent mystery-thriller. Unlike Steins;Gate, this series comes out swinging right from the get-go, and within a few episodes it's already knee-deep in reveals. The tempo is *very* brisk, with the major contours of what's causing the ruckus on the island explained in <12 episodes. It's all extremely well-done with there being a near-constant parade of "wait WTF... OH I guess that makes sense!" moments. I've watched many, many mystery-thrillers in my time and yet I was still unable to predict where things would go, but most reveals made sense in the context of what came before. That's the quintessential hallmark of a good myste…
