An absolute shock of a masterpiece that proves no one is too far gone for the power of a real friendship.
Honestly, I was completely shocked by this anime. It completely blew past my expectations and delivered a truly profound journey of self-discovery. What looks like a standard superpower thriller on the surface actually transforms into an incredibly deep exploration of humanity, guilt, and emotional growth.
The character development in this show is brilliant. It handles the psychology of its protagonist flawlessly, beautifully proving that nobody is too evil to have a loving and caring friend. At the end of the day, it all matters what the person does with that friendship. The plot keeps you entirely on the edge of your seat, and the characters react to their intense, high-stakes situ…

I have somewhat mixed feelings about this show, but mostly because I absolutely loved the character development! At the beginning, I really thought I wouldn't like Nana at all, but as the story progressed, the ending totally changed my mind and made me genuinely care about her.
The story itself was super engaging and kept me completely hooked from start to finish, constantly making me wonder 'what is going to happen next?'.
I ended up giving this anime an 8/10, mainly because of that cliffhanger ending that desperately begs for a continuation that we unfortunately don't have—otherwise, it would have easily been a solid 9/10 for me. Since there are no updates or news about a new season, I guess I will just have to dive into the manga to find out how the story continues!

This "Among Us" anime is surprising in many ways.
Munou na Nana was one of the biggest surprises I’ve ever experienced while watching anime. I went in expecting a show about students with superpowers facing threats to humanity, something along the lines of My Hero Academia, but it didn't take long to realize that was merely a facade. The series quickly shifts gears entirely, delivering a psychological thriller centered on investigation, manipulation, and an intense cat-and-mouse game that keeps you hooked until the final episode.
The premise follows a class of youths with special abilities sent to a training island, ostensibly to prepare to fight the "Enemies of Humanity." However, it soon becomes clear that something much darker is afoot. From that point on, the narrative moves the supe…

I usually like it when a series goes against my expectations and that's exactly what Talentless Nana does in the very first episode. While I can overlook the fact that most of the characters are too ignorant and insensitive, I have to say that I enjoyed this series quite a bit - there are interesting tricks, unexpected variables and a solid dose of "psycho-game". The plot quickly slips into a kind of repetitiveness, but this is interrupted by the Arc with the cat (paradoxically the weaker part) and finally redeemed by the partial finale in the 13th episode, when we returned to the core of story, but in a very different direction. I have mixed feelings about the main character, but as the protagonist of the story she actually works quite well. Overall, a fairly good darker-buddy story full…

Talentless Nana got me interested in the first episode, but the combination of iffy plot points and cartoony characters kept me from truly enjoying it.
I'll try to keep this as vague and spoilerless as possible. During this show there's a lot of deduction going on, and so much of it relies on ignoring basic things, and a lot of convenience. It didn't bother me too much, but it made me not take a lot of it seriously.
The characters were my main issue. A lot of them just act like caricatures/stereotypes without having much depth. It makes me not care about them, which is maybe the point.
Toward the end of the show, I was starting to get more interested, but then it ended abruptly. It seems like it won'e get another season, so this is an unfinished show. If it interests you, and you're wil…

This show feels like wasted potential. Like other reviewers said, it's hard to give a detailed review without spoiling plot details, so instead I'll say this: the writing feels like a blend between AoT and Death Note, but ends up being poorly executed. We had the capacity for a deeply morally ambiguous conflict with lots of mind games, but instead this show ends up having very slow character development, a plot that isn't very interconnected, and our detective ends up being very dumb. Despite this, it was still decently enjoyable, especially if you are willing to look past the few pivotal moments where the writing fails to deliver. Also the intro and closing themes were very good.

This review is only a spoiler if you are going in blind.
Lemme say, this anime is not the best thing ever but it's different in the best way.
This anime grabs all of the clichés of a garbage anime then turns into Death Note on a whim which is really funny conceptually.
I love how every character has this heightened stupidity because they live up to their cliché magic plain ass personality archetypes. The story telling feels pretty stupid tho, as if the author is making things up as they go per-episode, and lemme tell you: if you read the manga it really shows.
I want to see more, but we've been sitting on Nana Season 1 for a few years now and I don't got many hopes for the anime in the future.

The first 8 to even 10 episodes feel like the story was being written on the spot while the anime was being made. It's illogical and painful to watch. Characters behave like NPCs—if they’re not currently on screen, it’s as if they just stop existing or do nothing useful off-camera. Only the last few episodes start to make some sense and actually begin to develop the story, but waiting that long for things to get moving? Yikes.
Honestly, after the first episode, you could skip the next 5 or 6 and not miss anything important—you’d save time and frustration. The art style is mediocre at best, and that’s really all there is to say about it.
I can’t recommend this anime. The ending sets up a second season that most likely will never happen, and the story is boring, shallow, and meaningless fo…

I watched this when it first aired and as I am trying to watch the rest of the top 1000 animes that I have never watched or heard about, I have wished more of them were like this one.
This anime has a clear purpose and follows it all the way thorugh with concise and entertaining sequence of episodes. Then I come back to this page and it is in the low 7's, when some of the worst and most boring animes are sitting on really high 7's and I cant help but wonder the flaws that people see in this.
This show is just so good, and most importantly it is such a fresh air when you see these poorly excecuted plot twists in other shows

Long summary short, the story line and idea of this anime could have been great. I dig the whole assassin feels like they are doing thaw right thing because they believed they were wrong by the humans who have supernatural abilities.
This anime is suspenseful, and entertaining. However, along the way it definitely starts to eel repetitive and loses the art of guessing towards the end simple because you can see however will pan out. I think the reason why it turns that way is because it is only one season. This anime could easily have had 24 episodes for season one or wat least have been a two-season anime, but it was rushed in the end. Yet another good anime ruined because they had to rush.
I recommend watching for yourself and come back and tell me what you thought of the anime and wh…

Writing "intelligent" characters and plots of two "geniuses" trying to unmask each other requires the author to have a certain amount of cleverness so as not to seem forced, full of "Deus ex machina" and still understandable. That's not exactly how things happen here.
Everyone is a bit stupid, things don't make sense 90% of the time, the visuals are a bit lame, BUT I was actually entertained for most of the episodes, so it was worth the experience. I really liked the "girlmance" between Nana and the healing girl, it was fun to see things growing between them at the same time. In fact, the biggest low for me this season was exactly this attempt to "do the Light and the L" between Nana and the indestructible guy.

I recommended this anime, because is almost similiar to Boku no Hero Academia with mix elements from famous series The Boys. Btw this mc with her name is Hiiragi Nana is similiar to Billy Butcher, who equally hates the superhuman or talented people and both have past trauma and revenge.
Even though they both hate superhumans, they both have different ways of killing superhumans/talented people such as Hiiragi Nana who kills secretly using different methods or Billy Butcher who kills superhumans/talented people frontally.
According to my review, the anime is good, suspenseful, not too sadistic, interesting visuals, unpredictable storyline, etc.
If you are a fan of the The Boys series, i recommend to watching this anime!

To say talentless nana is an underrated anime is an understatement. This anime will hook you from start to finish and lemme explain why
First episodes are really crucial in any anime specially short ones like talentless nana. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone but the first episode will exceed your expectations and it just keeps getting better.
The inner monologues of the two main leads is most likely the best part of the anime. I also like how everyone confronts each other. And the mystery is so simple yet so complex. The only thing that kind of disappointed me was the background characters. We could have seen more of them but considering the show covers a long story in a fast pace that's kind of understandable.
Nana is by far the best character in the series followed by kyoya…

It's an... interesting show. I enjoy the genre quite a bit and Munou na Nana does a lot of things differently.
The world is too simple, but still interesting sometimes, the characters and the setting are too cliche honestly, but still enjoyable. The plot twists are very good though, so is character development.
But it has some flaws. Character behavior is pretty flawed from time to time, with some characters having quite insane ideals they will cling to even in the face of life and death situations.
One of the arcs also feels very out of place, accomplishing almost nothing in the grand scheme of things. While the last arc destroys too much of the arc structure imo, as it is way longer and has a very different tone.
So... the show is interesting and exciting. It has some good moments an…

Initially I fell prey to the claims of plot holes and inconsistencies I'd heard echoed about this show. However, by the time the season wraps up, you start to understand that the "plot holes" are created by the subjective/limited viewpoint of the characters, and what we are really seeing is just their understanding/perspective, and not legitimate plot holes at all. It all starts to add up and give little bites and pieces of something deeper going on behind the scenes.
In the end, I actually binged all 13 EPs in a single night. There were twists I suspected and others I genuinely didn't see coming, only recognizing the subtle set up in retrospect. It's not a next level genius story, but it is very enjoyable, and I highly look forward to a SE2.
Bonus point: cats continually saved from tr…

I have years of anime and hundreds of series under my belt. I speak Japanese, have lived in Japan, and have watched anime from 12 until my current age (almost 40). So, let me say with as much experience as a person can have, approaching anime from the multiple different angles it can be approached from, and having tons of experience - socially as well as linguistically- this is the single worste anime I have EVER seen. I got trapped into watching it because I thought there might be some clever way all the stupidity might tie into some big reveal. Spoiler* it doesn't. I can't even express how much I hate this anime. It might be the worst piece of trash ever made. Do not waste your time!

Talentless Nana is a really enjoyable show from start to finish that's unfortunately kneecapped by overly repetitive episode structures and the story being left on an indefinite cliffhanger.
(This review is spoiler free with only minor allusions to events of the first episode throughout)
Let's start with the good first!
Talentless Nana has an incredibly compelling premise, as revealed in episode 1. I can't speak to the details without spoiling things, but rest assured that the gears get turning very quickly and keep you hooked. The plot is rather breakneck in speed by most single season anime standards, and it's honestly a nice refresher from the all-too-common slogs.
The show also quite easily delivers on its promise of suspense. The stakes continually seem to rise and only sometimes…

MHA meets Death Note with a dash of "The Boys".
A supernatural psychological detective thriller which takes a bit of a dive into morality and what it would mean for people to have superpowers.
Animation / Art / General Visuals - 8/10
-----------------------------------------------
It looks quite nice. There's isn't particularly much animating as a lot of the show is carried by dialogue rather than action. But the overall aesthetic is nice and clean and fits the theme. The scenery looks good. Sound / Music / Voice Acting - 8/10
------------------------------------------
I'd say pretty good quality across the board.
Story - 7/10

Everything about this anime is just plain dumb. It's not a thriller like among us because you already know who the killer is. You can deduce the killer from the title itself but the show is so dumb it just straight up tells you in the very first episode who the killer is. I watched the show thinking there's going to be some grand reveal in the end: but there's nothing. There's no suspense as you're told everything as you go: there's nothing hidden from the viewer. I don't understand how people can recommend this? It was such a waste of time. This anime is not a thriller, it's like watching a documentary.

Why do I recommend this? Why did I rate this anime so high?
The answer's not as simple as "I liked it."
If you look at the anime from a very superficial "I watch for story" perspective, you might hate it. Because I did. The show's mysteries and the ways the cast solved these mysteries felt somewhat contrived. A lot of what Nana, the main character, did felt unnaturally easy for her. There was always a thoughtful explanation to her actions; there was always a way out for her in sticky situations. Everything just fell into place like a handmade puzzle you've just made out of cardboard. Because within this school of talent-ridden kids, almost everyone else was either stupid or stupidly stubborn. And that stupidity was what made me hate it.
But that's when I decided to change my perspectiv…
