Skeleton Knight in Another World

Skeleton Knight in Another World

Introduction

After falling asleep while playing an online game, a man wakes up and finds himself transported to that game's world as his in-game character, Arc. He wastes no time adjusting to his new environment, but soon realizes that he is using the skeleton avatar he chose when creating his character, which forces him to hide his visage to avoid unwanted attention. Arc goes to the nearby castle town of Luvierte, hoping to become an adventurer and take on quests to earn money. With his overpowered abilities, Arc embarks on a fantastical journey—exploring diverse territories, looting various monsters, and helping people get out of sticky situations. However, his seemingly innocuous actions may soon involve him in a brewing large-scale conflict that will forever alter the fate of the realm. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

This might be one of best Isekai Anime I watched. Hear me out. Many people might have problem with Overpowered mc but Our Mc might be powerful but not undefeatable. You can see him struggle. Well at the end it depends on you. But remember it's very mature story. IT has dark elements a lot. The story is top notch too. It's not for kids. It's mature story. There are dark moments but comedy is too. Everything in the story felt perfectly handled. Comedy, serious moments, sad moments, action and brutality and others you can call. There are fan service moments too. As for animation, the animation is overall fine. There are few scenes where CGI is used, listen carefully, few scenes. But it's used in small scenes, the main fights are properly animated.I think you can overlook this. Overall ever…

Do you like: Big boobied boob babes breasting boobily? Sexual assault? Saving slaves? Saving slaves? What about saving slaves? But how about saving the slaves though? SAVING SLAVES? Random violence? Eating food at taverns and inns? Ending racism dozens of times and still finding time to solve sexism? "Maybe we can get along after all... heh.."? Big booby booty babes thirsting after a skeleton? OP nonsense that doesn't ever matter? Well then this is the show for you. I'll be clear, I like OP isekai. I like the idea of someone being godlike and using immense power to make the world a better place. It's just that authors who typically write these kinds of stories don't really know how the world works most of the time. They just kinda make it spectacle and just free some slaves and…

Here's more or less an old review I posted at time of watching this. It's pretty underwhelming. There's not significant spoilers only a mention of which themes are explored and how they could have done it better. 5/10 It can be funny but that's about it. Any seriousness is quickly ruined for me by simply bad writing. The weird PS2 graphics 3D animations are kinda weird. It's obviously not the worst show ever but Average 5/10 or at best 6/10 seems justified. Not sure how the hell this has an 8.54/10 over here. Even 7/10 MAL seems high. Bonus points for some of the music and soundtracks I guess those were pretty neat. The MC himself is also fun enough so there's that without that I'd have not even come back to the show after leaving for a while due to simply bad writing being painful. The e…

Your typical isekai. Gamer gets teleported to video game world. He becomes his game avatar and inherits its powerful abilities. Its nothing special, but I still found it entertaining. The main character is a skeleton in large shining armor. He encounters an elf girl and helps her in freeing her captured kin. At the same time he’s trying to break the supposedly undead-curse his avatar has. Typically these isekai main characters are over powered. But they tried to change it up just a tiny bit. He is overpowered but not fully skilled. Meaning he does need to train. The story is not particularly deep or complex. But I wouldnt call it shallow either. There is a side plot involving the politics of some kingdom, aswell as siblicide. There is a lot of focus on female abuse. Attempted rape. T…

To fans of the isekai power-fantasy genre, Skeleton Knight will be an enjoyable 4 hours. Many call it a simple Overlord copy, and the reasons are not difficult to see. I had a hard time distinguishing the protagonist, Arc, from Ainz. That said, I feel a more apt description would be as a hybrid between Overlord and How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. There is perhaps a warning to be given about the portrayal of attempted sexual violence. The show literally opens with one of the most explicit and real-feeling scenes of attempted rape I've ever seen in a modern TV production. That being said, that felt like mostly shock value, because the rest of the show is relatively tame. There is other dark content in the show and disturbing themes do get explored, but nothing that will make your skin crawl…

English. I think that many of us have seen this story before and we may also know what this series can be based on, it is nothing innovative to see a person reincarnate in their favorite video game, we have seen it before and it is a genre that can be said to be A point of being exploited by low quality series is coming, this is not the exception, it is not a bad series, don't get me wrong, I think that if you have not seen this genre before you will really like this first taste, but yes You already have a background, you are going to see this series as a mediocre series that does not innovate at all and is not very entertaining, as it is in my case, I could make this review simpler by saying that it is just a mediocre series of the bunch and that's how it is, I would recommend it... maybe…

I don't know why but I totally loved this anime. Hope there will be a season 2. The story as it suggests is an isekai anime about a man who wakes as a skeleton knight and jis adventures in this new world. I guess it can be said as a just above average anime but still I felt it to be great. I still want to watch this more and see his absolutely high powers. The plot is a nice and simple one but it is a best anime to watch for all isekai lovers who just wants to immerse in a fantasy world like me. Hope this review helps anyone to watch the anime and hope you find it nice.

TRIGGER WARNING: SEXUAL ASSAULT Skeleton Knight in Another World is another shitty Overlord clone with an added creep factor. All of the villains are sadistic rapists and murderers. From the first minute to the last episode, the excessive sexual assault scenes are drawn like sexy fanservice and framed as titillation for men. It's disgusting, awful, and uncomfortable to watch because it is grotesquely fetishistic and does nothing but remind you the creators don't care about victims. Anime is infamous for sexualizing rape to appeal to the lowest common denominator rather than portraying it as it is; a brutal life-altering crime. "But it's entertainment" no, it's creepy, and it's lazy writing. Every female character (even the ones with swords) is victimized or threatened with sexual assault…

I, like many others who probably saw Overlord and then this, figured it would be another low tier isekai but was baited into watching it anyways. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying it. Don't get me wrong; The plot is mediocre and on paper this should be bad, however the cast is adorable. I loved watching Arc run around and do progressively more insane things and being completely oblivious to everything in the world while Ariane fails to keep him in check. Ponta, Arc, and Ariane were such a fun cast to watch interact with each other and the world. A lot of it was definitely a feel-good show which I was totally down for and loved. The art and sound were above average for this kind of show but nothing to write home about, with a decent amount of well animated shots. The gore…

I watched this anime mostly out of curiosity after watching Overlord and really enjoying it I watched the trailer for this anime and thought it looks like Ainz chose to live his life a little differently and thought I would watch it. All I'll say is it's no Overlord. I'll get on with the review. Story: the story isn't really all that original for an isekai, it's another character waking up inside a video game with all his OP abilities. There are some more mature themes to this anime that might throw some people off, no nudity or anything but talk about sexual violence and slavery are topics in episodes early in the season. Art: the animation is good, it's got a modern style. There is a few 3D or CG animations in a few episodes that are viewable and it throws off the scene because it is n…

First of all, I feel that when this anime suddenly ended, I was disappointed and hurt, this is an exciting journey story, what are the characters Arc-kun and Ariane. Although this is still a cycle of legendary isekai fantasy, the story is the same as the others, but I can say this has a unique and interesting side, so you just watch it more. another thing, the animation is for some reason a little different from the other gifts, it's smooth and even the 3D is amazing. ohya I like the additional effects of the writing which is very suitable for Arc-kun. Story enjoyment? hey I told you this is suitable for all of you, all of you who saw my reviews. I wrote this even a lot of things I wanted to write but all of them forgot, if from me I really enjoy the whole of it in any way.

Ok, so that was awesome....I think.. so: Story Pros: I may have some reference from another anime with the MC of having to look like a the Grim Reaper, but here it was more like a version where the MC wasn't playing both sides of the fence...Instead, we really have a plot where it was straightforward. Which is player getting transported into another world and plays a straightforward protagonist who saves the day... Cons: There were just a lot of cliches. Verdict: 7 over 10. Art Pros: The usual sidekick girl eye candy.... Cons: The usual over the top fashion...... Verdict: 5 over 7. Sound Pros: Given that in this setting characters needed to be matured, I'd say that it was good , given that them seiyuus need not act like teens. Cons: I hate both opening and closing theme. Verdict…

This review will be spoiler free. This show was really enjoyable and better than the sum of its parts. It may not win any rewards or be anyone's AotS but it's definitely one of those hidden gems. It's got your stereotypical isekai troupes. Overpowered main character. Transported to a medieval world. Beautiful FMC. Adorable mascot character. Yet somehow in this show it all comes together nicely. Other reviewers complain that the MC has no motivation. That's not the case. He just got transported to another world. Doesn't it make sense to explore and check out what's happening? Having newfound powers in this new world compared to the powerlessness of his old life, why wouldn't he try to do some good? After he meets a cute girl, why wouldn't he want to spend more time with her? The other co…

"Hi there. It's me, Arc." -- the following is a brief paragraph or two on my overall thoughts, followed by spoilers about boring world building, the lead MC, and the creepy factor. reader discretion is advised. -- When the word "generic" is thrown at something, it's almost more insulting than calling said entity "bad". Something that's described as bad can still have that connotation of originality while generic media already has the disadvantage of being similar to other entries right out the gate. This isn't to say that that quality is an immediate reason for discouragement and original != good by default, there can be great reinventions of something tried and true, but when we want to elaborate on something having a lack of uniqueness in a positive way, generic isn't the word that get…

Another poor adaptation of already not-great-not-terrible source. Some spoilers ahead. Story: basically you know it already: stupidly OP MC tries his best to be useless and humble. Arc, the protagonist, has insane powerlevel if you compare him with any being currenly living in the world, yet what does he do? Basically nothing. The whole anime follows the arc of our MC freeing the elven slaves. He can teleport anywhere by using his blink, he can kill anyone in one shot cause of overwhelming power he posesses, but instead half of the time he is nothing but a mere clown with stale unfunny jokes. No epic quests, no exploration, just a waste of time and one job he really drags on. Characters? Welp, they are all the same level of quality as the MC - all the villains are just bad, with no redeemi…

Skeleton Knight in Another World focuses on our hero who was a previous gamer being stupidly overpowered, so effort from this guy is thrown out the window. It tells the tale of a hero turned mercenary meeting all kinds of people he has only seen behind his computer screen. Arc, being an actual skeleton behind his in-game armour goes to experience the game world. As the story went on, he eventually meets the heroine, Ariane, who is on a mission to save her kind from humanity's cruelty such as trafficking, raping, etc. She teams up with the skeleton boi, who randomly agrees to go with her just because he's bored as hell and together, they would save the elves. So, what are the good things about it? The art and animations look really good, being that it's handled by Studio Kai and HORNETS,…

I’m catching up to Overlord as I write this review, and yup, this show is indeed a Walmart Overlord. Arc is basically Ainz but nicer, and Arc is overpowered as well. The cast isn’t too big, as it’s only Arc, Ariane, Chiyome, and Ponta basically, the other characters are so insignificant they might as well be specks in the wind. I enjoyed this series at first, but then it got rather repetitive as it’s mostly just saving various groups of people, usually elves, and that got dry rather quickly. My grading criteria: Story: /25 Art: /10 Music: /10 Characters: /20 Enjoyment /15 Thematic Execution /20 STORY: 11/25 Another typical isekai where the protagonist is overpowered and there is little to no reference to the person in the real world. Just your typical protagonist that goes around saving…

Remember when the Overlord franchise took the world by storm with a talking skeleton back in 2015? What if we have another talking skeleton as a protagonist living his life in a fantasy world? No, I'm not talking about Aiz but rather Arc, a skeleton knight covered in armor. Don't let your eyes full you because he's not a disposable game avatars from Dark Souls. Arc is a skeleton knight with an ambition but also a character who takes opportunities for his deeds. Still, what makes you want to get invested into Arc's character and the show itself? Watching Skeleton Knight in Another World is like taking a journey as you venture into a world of unknown with our protagonist. If you put yourself in Arc's shoes, it becomes that much easier to understand his character and the story. That's becaus…

Looks like I have to play the Devil's Advocate in this one since everyone HATES this to oblivion. AYEEE BONE ISEKAI DADDY IS BACK...yet again, not like so, that many people are hating this the way that Goblin Slayer is much maligned from the get-go. And yes, I will admit that Overlord (that has Season 4 coming up next season) plays a huge part in novelist Enki Hakari's only derivative work that is this show, while actually playing the "goblin rape game" much earlier than Goblin Slayer, and the plot to Gaikotsu Kishi-sama a.k.a Skeleton Knight is simply just that. And you thought that Goblin Slayer was the first to do this (well, technically it is through anime). It must be said that there're two camps in this one: - The overt haters whom feel that everything done in this show gets a free…

If I had to describe Gaikotsu Kishi in one word, that word would no doubt be "infuriating." Gaikotsu Kishi-sama, Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu is the most generic power trip isekai imaginable, but this time with a twist: the main character is a skeleton! Incredible. It truly is an ingenious choice, as without being a skeleton Arc would be the least interesting character of all time. Besides for Arc's overly formal speech patterns, I struggle to come up with even a single aspect of his personality. He has no discernible motivations for anything he does, and neither does he seem to care about much of anything. After being isekai'd he just decides "oh okay I'm gonna live here now :)" and that's it. The entire reason the second half of the show happens is because he goes "oooh elf! fantasy! wo…
