If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord

If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord

Introduction

Eighteen-year-old Dale Reki is a skilled, kind, and respected traveler, acknowledged as one of the leading adventurers in the city of Kreuz. One day while on the hunt for magical beasts, he comes across a sweet devil girl named Latina. She is alone, dressed in rags, and bears the devils' symbol of a criminal: a broken horn. Concerned for her wellbeing, Dale decides to ensure Latina's safety by bringing her to his home, eventually leading to him adopting her. Latina is sweet, innocent and compassionate, charming Dale beyond his expectations. He begins to enjoy the life of parenthood— experiencing the trials that come with raising a child and coping with the heartache he feels whenever his busy lifestyle as an adventurer parts him from her. Although work and life as a new parent become reassuring constants for Dale, the mysteries surrounding the girl remain. Why was Latina alone in the forest, and why does she harbor the symbol of a criminal? At the same time, Latina also begins to learn about the world and herself as she adjusts to her new life with Dale. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

English/Português Well, I don’t think it’s possible to analyze this anime in the usual way since it focuses so much on a single thing, so let’s start with the basics, and then I’ll explain why you should or shouldn’t watch it. Animation: 5/10 Design: 6/10 – Generic Characters: 8/10 Story: 7.5/10 – Basic and simple, but well executed at what it sets out to do Soundtrack: 6.5/10 Comedy: 8/10 Now let me explain why I liked this anime so much. I love love… simple as that. The father–daughter relationship between Dale and Latina is simply captivating, and that’s the biggest, if not the only, reason it’s worth watching. You’ll leave it feeling satisfied, happy, and at peace with life. Considering the oversaturated amount of anime in this genre, full of harems and fanservice revolving purely a…

The first episode is the real banger here, if you're into the premise then I would say at least watch that. Its peak wish fulfilment for saving a little girl and taking care of her. Afterwards you can drop the show at your leisure or leave it on hold for as long as you want, because it doesn't move an inch for it's entirety. Its not that it gets worse, because the cuteness of the heroine remains throughout, but the generic mediocrity of it all and the annoying screams of the MC lead to further and further diminishing returns as the show continues. About 20-30% of the show is magical descriptions and setups for little things that I'll never know about cause I'm not reading the light novel (lol), but that stuff really only serves to distract you from the fact that the entire point of this…

Watching this anime is eating a big bowl of pure sugar, full of teeth-rotting empty calories. You've got a cute little girl who is some writer's embodiment of wish fulfillment for a perfect daughter. She's smart, easy to care for, loves her daddy, and doesn't cause trouble. And the daddy MC never stops going on about how cute she is, that it gets annoying. The characters and situations just lack any sort of authenticity and don't resemble real people at all. If you don't mind that and just want some cheesy happy cute series with no drama, then maybe you'll enjoy it. But if you want something to ponder, then stay away. The story mostly avoids difficulties in child rearing. Any other potential difficulties are resolved quickly without effort. The animation is slightly below average, with g…

Being a guardian melts the rigid and adventurous heart of.a brave and stoic young man; himself barely into manhood. Warm, vulnerable and piercing grey eyes and a genuine winsome smile makes Dale adopt a shunned demon girl. He soon realises fate had brought him a gentle, loving and obedient child on the brink of starvation. And connect they do; becoming her protector and the prime object of her affection; as she instinctively is drawn to his kindness and care. A wholesome delight to see her grow out of her self-castigation and bloom to be the sweetest and most cherubic little girl, far more mature than her 8 years old. Yet despite her intelligence, industry and unintended popularity; she remains an earnest and sincere friend to all, granted the rare ability to see the good in others!

A cute slice of life anime with a cute demon girl (named Latia) and her defacto adoptive father MC (Dale). Art: So, the art is a little bland but manageable, dont expect demon slayer kind of animation, but it was okay. Music: The music were also average, the op and ed are not bad, not great, just generically good. The BGM is good most of the times, but there are several instances where the music really does not fit the scene (sometimes bad music choice, sometimes the completely different music is left after a previous scene). Story: Well, this is where the show kind of fall apart for me (usually in other reviews worldbuilding is mentioned as a separate point, but I will include it here). How can a slice of life series have a bad story, when they usually dont have one at all? Exactly what h…

Story: It's not perfect but it's not bad. As you can tell from the title, it's about the MC adopting a young child (a devil). He meets her at the forest and decides to take her as her guardian. They both have great relationship as the story progress. There isn't much action while there is a bit of adventure and some good slice of life. I don't usually watch this kind of story but this is quite a unique one. Character(s): None of the characters are not bad except that one teacher from school. The MC is quite a doting "father" but he's a great warrior or "hero." Latina is a very cute young girl and I like her a lot. Animation: Not much. It's good. Music/Sound: It's good and likable. Conclusion: I can only recommend this to someone who's looking for a cute and more-than-a-family relation…

I am SUCH a sucker for this trope. Anytime there's a guy who knows nothing about kids suddenly in charge of raising a kid who he ends of loving more than life itself, I'm gonna be there. It never not makes me cry tears of joy. This is a fun fantasy version of that. The plot isn't jaw dropping and it's not the most life changing anime you'll ever watch, but it doesn't need to be. Watching the character grow throughout is so nice to see, and the father/daughter bond development is such a sweet thing to see. If you're like me who enjoys a lot of the intense, gory, action anime this is a nice break. It's cozy, relaxing, and just a short little watch that will make you feel good. (I'm told the manga goes much farther and gets super uncomfortable at the end but we're not gonna talk about that…

Would I recommend this anime? I don't know, how much do you just want to see Latina being cute? There's a chance that Latina being cute is the whole point of the anime, but it's extremely counter-productive. This adorable demon-child is left in the woods to die and is later loved by everybody because of how cute she is... and you can't expect me NOT to wonder what lead to her circumstances to being with? Sure, they touch on it a LITTLE bit, but not enough for it to be satisfying, and Latina's past is just something that you can't play the mystery-monger game with very long before you end up pissing people off. And if you aren't going to elaborate on Latina's past, why did you mention in the title that you'd,"Even Defeat A Demon Lord"? Congratulations: you've got me emotionally investe…

Adorableness overload. End of review. Seriously though if you need a wholesome pick me up this is definitely one to watch. Ryan Bartley really put in some work on this one as Latina's English dub VA. It's so adorable it hurts. That being said... don't expect a lot of action or even really a great story or memorable characters. It pretty much gets by on pure adorable wholesome cuteness and not much else. If you go into this expecting a guy's gonna be fighting against a demon lord to protect his daughter, well, you're gonna be very very disappointed. So don't. Wholesome cuteness aside, the story and characters are probably the weakest point of the show, both coming in at like 3/10's for me. But the enjoyment due to all the wholesome cuteness is a 9/10. There's definitely way better whole…

This show just makes your heart warm with it feel good vibes. Not a super deep story but that's ok not everything needs to have this epic story to be good. The feel goods really don't stop and you don't want them to. Not trying to spoil anything but the little girl growing up just feels right and the voice acting is not bad. I have only watched dubbed but the person who voices the little girl is pretty great too. I have just got into this type of anime but I can tell this one is a good one.

A Fantasy show regarding a fabled adventurer and his chance encounter to a Demonkin. Surely the people that enjoy the Fantasy genre more than the next guy will certainly bite and savor the show right? Well, I'm one of them (currently) and due to my binge watching of Isekai/Action/Fantasy shows recently I've seem to come across good and bad ones. This one falls into the "eh" standard since: The story has a good world built in my opinion. The lore of every race, how magic works, how each race interacts and interprets each other. It is to be said that this show feels right because the show's world is pretty much highly minimalistic in terms of setting. Albeit fleshed out to flatten, I don't think it really got in the way of the main story set aside some questionable moments surrounding our…

An anime piggybacking off other demon lord animes, to get attention was my first idea, and to a degree, it never changed, as you never see a demon lord. Your basic synopsis is, adventurer finds a girl in the forest, she points out her dead dad, he buries him, then takes her home. Slice of life continues from there. Initially he is looking for ways to palm her off on the orphanage, but overnight somehow miraculously decides to keep her and raise her. The change of mind is sudden, and unrealistic, especially for a guy who hunts demons regularly, their minions, etc. With the human war on demons, and demons not having any normal interaction with humans it seems, it makes it even more surprising he never slew her on sight. The sickening sweet attachment he and everyone around her form, just…

There is a conspiracy theory or rather.. 'conspiracy joke' going around that every anime, manga or light novel with "raising of a child" as its main subject has been secretly funded by the Japanese government in order to raise the low birth rate of Japan. Two well-known examples are the adorable Usagi Drop, and the very funny and sweet Kakushigoto. While this anime is not quite at the same level as the above it belongs to the same subgenre. The setting might be very different, since the genre is fantasy, and the little girl Latina is not even human, but that's largely decorative. The core, the heart of the story is, again, the "raising of a child", and the joys and difficulties of being a single parent. I rated the story with '6' because, while it's cute and nice and all, there is barely…

Latina and her every little interaction with others has NO BUSINESS being this adorable. Dale saves her in the woods and spoils her with caramel (kindness) and like a god damn yard sprinkler Latina sprays that to everyone (audience included) and gives you both type one and two diabetes. The story falls a bit short though and it really needs a second season to tie up loose ends. The question that the synopsis presents still remains unanswered, unfortunately, and the ending was a bit underwhelming (Why was Latina alone in the forest, and why does she harbor the symbol of a criminal?) Regardless do you need a lot of wholesome in your life? Fan of moe and all things cute? Definitely pick this up!

This anime is about a young girl named Latina, a girl from the demon tribe, who is adopted by Dale, a brave man not long after Latina's father had passed away, Dale more of a "father figure" to little Latina then a guardian, The story follows Latina growing up and being raised by Dale. Although the story is pretty cute, and the artstyle is pretty good, something feels....missing. The father-daughter love between Dale and Latina is adorable, who wouldn't love a wholesome bond between a parent and their child? and if its so admirable, why did it all go wrong? Dale, even though he seems like a cool guy, he can get seriously annoying at times, he seems to be obsessed with Latina, I know many fathers are overprotective for their daughters, but Dale, he is a bit too much. And yes, I know L…

#9 *Spoiler Free* I miss this series already. The best way to describe this series is as a wholesome story about someone discovering the world created here and learning about it and its people. A journey like this is sometimes taken in the direction of action and focuses on that to keep the attention of the viewer however for this series its focus is on the people in it and the mind, essentially the core of what makes any story good. Keeping its goal in mind I'm able to tell that there is a solid foundation for a long and branching story about growing up in a world where people look at you differently and the experience this character goes though as well as the history of both of the two main characters. The potential for a great story is there and I hope they deliver in the next season…

If I go strictly on the anime before the very last episode i loved it. its a cute story about a demon girl and her adopted loving father. But at the end it gets a little...''i want to marry daddy" and not in the innocent " i don't know what I'm really saying" way. i thought the little boy with red hair was a great love interest for the girl but she only has eyes for...her dad. And this is a spoiler for the manga but yes her and her dad do get married...ew. honestly i just like to pretend the last episode and the manga don't exist and its great.

tl;dr: A light series about a girl slowly growing up though one that feels a bit too slow without enough substance. UchiMusume is a series that's about a little girl slowly growing up. There are points that are serious and that deal with some pretty dark matters. For example, the most prominent of these is the portion focused around prejudice against devils and how that's especially damaging when its done by adults in power over the children they are in charge of as children pay attention and are impacted by adults even when said adults are not worth listening to. There are also parts that discuss how devils age differently from humans and how that can lead to issues when it comes to bonds between them. Both Dale and Latina also seem to have somewhat complex backgrounds. Dale is an advent…

Ok the 1st reason that makes me rate this anime so low is: LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTELATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE. LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTELATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE LATINA is so CUTE. The author spam that sentence so many time!!! Rly annoying. 2nd reason: the story is bad, it's just characters' daily routine and small travel. I dont understand why so many people love it ??? To my view, Uchi only deserve 5/10 or lower. *sry if my english bad* P/S:

So, one day, Dale, a big time adventurer, goes to a forest and while hunting finds a little demon girl called Latina. With no one around to take care of her and no family to speak of, he decides to adopt and take her in. That's the basic story of Uchimusume. Moving forward, Latina grows to be part of Dale's life and she learns and develops everyday. That's it really Uchimusume is similar to other father/daughter dynamic shows like Amaama to Inazuma, Somali of the forest, and Usagi drops. Similar to these shows, it has a cute little girl at the center of everything and usually a guardian trying to cope with the new responsibility. Unfortunately, Uchimusume does nothing to add to this concept. Worse still, there is little intriguing about the show besides Latina. Dale is like a cardboard cu…
