WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?

Introduction

Putting his life on the line, Willem Kmetsch leaves his loved ones behind and sets out to battle a mysterious monster, and even though he is victorious, he is rendered frozen in ice. It is during his icy slumber that terrifying creatures known as "Beasts" emerge on the Earth's surface and threaten humanity's existence. Willem awakens 500 years later, only to find himself the sole survivor of his race as mankind is wiped out. Together with the other surviving races, Willem takes refuge on the floating islands in the sky, living in fear of the Beasts below. He lives a life of loneliness and only does odd jobs to get by. One day, he is tasked with being a weapon storehouse caretaker. Thinking nothing of it, Willem accepts, but he soon realizes that these weapons are actually a group of young Leprechauns. Though they bear every resemblance to humans, they have no regard for their own lives, identifying themselves as mere weapons of war. Among them is Chtholly Nota Seniorious, who is more than willing to sacrifice herself if it means defeating the Beasts and ensuring peace. Willem becomes something of a father figure for the young Leprechauns, watching over them fondly and supporting them in any way he can. He, who once fought so bravely on the frontlines, can now only hope that the ones being sent to battle return safely from the monsters that destroyed his kind. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

The first episode starts with scenes from the last episode and the end of the show, and you understand right away that this is the kind of show that will slowly walk you through the story to show how things get there. After that, the real opening begins, and right away you can notice good editing, camera movement, and strong composition. These are all very good signs going in. When the music hits in the first episode, it is honestly just chef’s kiss. The fantasy world of this anime looks pretty interesting and somehow feels like a Jun Maeda-style show. The story itself is very much built around one of anime’s oldest cliches, the horrible pain and suffering of little girls. There is not a lot of explanation when it comes to the world’s history or the main protagonist’s past and backstory.…

I probably wouldn't have watched this if I knew it was 90% focused on romance, but I did anyway since I didn't know that going in. It's... not bad, I guess? There are lots of interesting and redeeming features of this show, but for some reason it doesn't quite come together as a satisfying package. Fresh off completing the show I'm left feeling that the main story, the main characters, and the world building are all quite solid; the animation is good enough. At the same time I'm feeling that a lot of the biggest questions about the world they built are left unresolved, and that an awful lot of the show's run time was people sitting around talking, and there was a lot of "tell me" where "show me" would have been better. In theory there's an untold prequel or sequel story, or both, that c…

WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Will you save us? Are you busy? Will you save us? This is one of those Anima you say "This could be a Cool Over Powered anime OR maybe a funny Harem anime, It is but not in the typical sens, it is better. All the elements are there, but put in a different layered set up and hits a lot harder. You start to watch not really knowing what it is and what to expect, and then you get hooked, not for the action, (it is there and build the story but action becomes seconded to the story, through the series.) but for it's thoughts, the feeling it brings, the emotionens, and fantastic Sound track perfectly matched to the scenes and story (especially in the later episodes.(English Version)), and the realisations of what is being (and sometimes not) sai…

From the very beginning, the series invites you to explore a universe where every scene is imbued with quiet wonder and thoughtful detail. The animation stands out as a true masterpiece. Is it worth it to be happy in a world which will strip everything away in an instant? And if granted the opportunity, would you allow yourself to cherish life knowing that at any moment it can end? If not, can you say that life has any meaning in the first place? Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu... Long title, presents the audience with these questions from the perspective of broken characters in a broken unfair world. It's a heart wrenching tale of self sacrifice and learning to love regardless of if your efforts are ultimately fruitless. The greatest strength of this show comes from its premise. Set 500 odd years after the collapse of humanity, the world has become a somewhat brutal place. The remaining bestial races have fled to the skies and are tormented by unkillable magical entities which…

i feel like this show is the epitome of wasted potential, on one hand it's world building is incredible, on another it's never fully fleshed out. on one hand the progression between the heroine and the main character is incredibly natural (albeit seemed forced as ctholly's love for him seemed spontaneous) but never fleshed out due to the show juggling between the world building and relationship. however putting the contradicting story telling aside the show is quite enjoyable, it's akin to a slice of life with REALLY great soundtrack, but i just can't get the feeling that this show could have been something so great and special.

Overall summary From storytelling prespectives, it is great at the start but I do not appreciate any form of cliffhanger in any story. I understand this anime just a promo for LN but at least put some teaser or breaker episode at the end. Story The story is quite good.It keeps me entertained enough untill horrible cliffhanger at the end. Thats is my only problem with the anime. Character Typical weak and cringey male MC that past his best time paired with OP waifus. Art I dont worry too much about art when it comes to anime except kid type stuff.

In short, this ‘World End’ is fantastic, and is highly recommended to watch. I would give this anime the top priority on my recommendation list. The catastrophic background amplified the beauty of characters significantly. The hero and heroine of the anime show theri brilliant lives in the short 12 eps. The story is a simple love tragedy, however, the background intensifies the touching emotions foundmentally. It has some minor flaws in the logic of the story route, but in it, youthfulness, hardworking, love, happiness, family affection, and sacrifice, the beauties and greatness overshine stars. In the infinite darkness of the World End, the characters and their qualities enlighten the lands people stand on and the shades in people's minds. Their radiance penetrates the barriers of the h…

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka? (2017) A good story in a very dark world of prejudice and history affecting everyone. I will say the whole weapon side is dark but what gets me more is how rushed everything is to help the romance side progress more. This could have been an epic show about combat with a strong action storyline but instead, you get romance at the forefront. This is fine since it was sweet apart from the whole age situation. The artwork looks nice and the general characters, ships, surrounding, etc are pretty cool. The monsters either look tip-top or average. The sound is fine, nothing crazy but nothing too bad. The characters are interesting but the issue is everyone is so rushed over that the story is lacking in this regard o…

The plot of WorldEnd had some moments of predictability but was still enjoyable to watch nevertheless. None of it felt like filler and each episode ended with me excited for the next. The animators outdid themselves with this one. The detail on the wings and the flow of hair really sets a strong tone - it felt like the animators really enjoyed working on this piece and put their all into it. I really felt the emotion from the voice actors and also felt that the sound design as a whole was done well. The sound design always seemed to fit well with what was happening onscreen - the background music had a strong but slow crescendo when building a scene up towards the end. Willem Kmetsch (Pops, Black Agate Swordmaster, Bilem) - A 2nd Grade Technical Officer who works for the Guardian Win…

Yeah yeah.... maybe this is not the best anime ever. It is wasted potential but! This anime has the best supporting character ever - Ithea Myse Valgulious! the main plot is just good, the main characters are just good. But Ithea's background story is brilliant! For this character, this anime is worth watching. A plot twist that causes the jaw to drop. It hit like a truck. don't be fooled. This anime has the characteristics of a psychological drama. At times it gets more serious and moralizing than in NGE or GITS. I'm serious. btw. OST has few gorgeous pieces of music. Im listening it over and over! Introduction The first time that I saw the series in my recommendations by Crunchyroll, I was wondering what was that and I read the description. My first impression was not as great as my actual opinion. So, let's check the review point by point. Story : 8.5/10 At first, the story didn't seems to be interesting and that's right. We need to persevered if we want to see the worthy part of the series. But that absolutely not new nowadays, a lot of series do that. If you don't understand why, let me explain it. If they do that, that's not for fun, that's because they want to create their world and make everything that they can do for us to be impregnate inside the world. So, when we come to the interesting part, everything just blow up. Well, that could be better if the series had more…

This reveiw contains spoilers. Well, when I read the title I was thinking like: "Ok, this sounds so dumb, this must be some guilty pleasure. Perfect braindead silly show after a hard workday..." So I jumped in to watch this blindly. Well, I had to say I couldn't be more wrong about this one. What a stupid title for a beautiful story like this. This is surprisingly good. This one hit me right in the feels or to put it better it hit right in one of my greatest fear. Loosing my memories, loosing myself, and forget what I'm. Even though the looming tragedy were obvious pretty early in the show, yet I didn't think that this one has the balls to be a real drama. It is so rare to see in anime. At first I wanted to criticize the show, because the main plot didn't really go anywhere. However on a…

I hate this anime, I hate the ending, I hate the author who wrote this ending, but, I have to give it a 9. I thought I have watched enough hardcore, cold-blooded, messed up, and emotional anime, but the ending still got me. During the last few minutes of the last episode, I couldn't stop crying. I don't understand, it's just some typical tragic shit, but it still got me. I got key VNs flashbacks from the ending. The art is amazing, pleasing to watch. The soundtrack is probably one of the best I have heard in a while. Every important scene has some music that enhance the feelings. Especially the use of Scarborough Fair. Really likeable characters, and some developments. I really enjoyed this anime, from start to finish. This anime isn't for everyone, however, if you are wondering whethe…

(No/Minor Spoilers, short review) "SukaSuka" WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us? From henceforth I shall be referring to the title as "WorldEnd". This series is primarily a fantasy with great world building and a romantic drama second. I say romantic drama because there isn't nearly enough "lovey dovey" moments that they clearly deserve and it is more about the choices and interactions they make. What really stood out from this anime was the emotion and story. I remember when I was much younger it brought me to tears, because everything seemed so sad. Having re-watched this recently many years later, without a doubt it is much more than a mere "sad story". There is much depth and beauty to everything that happens if you really just ponder th…

I like that anime very much. I love that anime. It's my one of the most favorite anime. It's story is brilliant and very beautiful and also emotional. The characters are also nice. The art was amazing. And the sound track which use is very good. This is very good example of love, fantasy and sci-fi. The story has a sad ending which I don't like of that anime but, in middle of story there is lot of fun and good things which we like most. And it's all ost and songs are amazing. The songs are very good and also some songs are emotionally sad. I like this anime but I am also disappointed because four years are gone and yet another part is not come it's very disappointed thing the story is half. So they should complete this story and make another part of that story. And I hope the another p…

Start watching after, one's song? which you find on youtube randomly, and then decides to watch the show, and it was yet both a good and a bad idea. Because, watching the first episode of this song, I already figured out what, would be the end, ''my tears said it'', but nothing can be known that it really will be. Very fit soulful romantic drama: a beautiful and tragic love story. The design of the characters is nice, there is a bit of fan service. The story tells about cute fairy girls who are doomed to a harsh fate to be a "weapon" in the world after the apocalypse. The plot for the drama is well developed. Despite the toughness, the title envelops its own tube atmosphere. One of main character Willem unusual guy saving everyone left and right, he has weaknesses (which makes him "alive"…

This could have been better. I had high hopes for this anime. The story was good enough, character development was good enough. The sounds were really good. I did enjoy the anime. BUT. There is a big but here. The anime could have been better. While watching it, I did not feel like dropping it. But also, I didn't have the urge to binge-watch it. But it sure was a refreshing anime while we are being bombarded with the isekai genre. This story follows two mc. Williem and Cutehlly (Maybe I got the name wrong). Williem is last of the mankind and he has been resurrected from his deep long certification (Sounds like Avatar, right?). Now, he has to take care of some fairies who are also the main weapons against the BEASTS. This story revolves around these characters along with some side…

A masterpiece. The truth is that I loved everything about the series. His construction of the world, characters and art. And nothing to say about the music, a marvel. The series begins with a huge cliffhanger, however despite knowing or intuiting how it would end, I thoroughly enjoyed each chapter. I hadn't read the light novel, but watching the anime immediately made me want to, and I’m glad there are more volumes. I saw it in one day, that shows how much I liked it hahaha, give it a try, I highly recommend it. An anime from my point of view very underrated.
