Overall, it was a unique and incredibly relaxing experience - no bad parts whatsoever.
ARTSTYLE
- Amazing; the most common style felt very "soft" / smooth with how everything looked, yet still maintained a grounded / realistic presentation. It was akin to a world from a happy dream, with warm and vibrant colors, and overall very aesthetically pleasing look - I loved it.
- Additionally, there were moments where certain colors would fill up the world, basking everything in a warm glow / "fog", and it was always absolutely beautiful - it was usually used during the most heart-warming and cute scenes, and it added a really nice visual layer to those moments.
- The other style was mor…

“Yubisaki to Renren” is a genuine anime which touched my heart. The moment I started watching it, it captivated me with its delicate nature. The way it conveys its story makes me admire it. This anime does not use any exaggerated drama to impress the viewers, rather, it creates an emotional bond between the viewer and itself.
The thing I love most about this anime is its gentleness and respect for depicting interaction and communication between humans. It feels like every little thing about their connection and their ability to communicate better and better each day comes from their hearts, which makes everything so touching.
The animation is delicate and beautiful, perfectly matching the calm and emotional tone of the series. The character designs are expressive in a subtle way, and the…

I fell in love with this anime. The main couple is so cute and honestly I dont need more.
Some people like to think that the dudes are creeps in shojos animes. But let be honest some people really met in the train. And instant crush exist for real.
I believe that Itsuomi didnt have the best approach at first with Yuki. But I believe that its the point because its the first time his meeting a deaf person. And as the anime is going, he learns not only to do sign langage but also to respect her more and more.
I love them both with the fact that there are learning about love and communication, they are really patient with each other.
But I can understand that this anime is not for everyone.
And for me, its a 10/10 😍

Hmmm hmmm, a difficult show to review indeed. I'll keep it brief.
If you don't overthink while watching, this is a really sweet anime to watch that I think can be enjoyed by anyone who likes romance shows. Thus my recommendation. Yuki can be adorable and Itsuomi very charming. The side characters have their moments too. There's some great moments and a lot of cozy ones too.
However the show definitely lacks depth in its story and characters. They do all feel reasonably one note and aren't really overly memorable. I definitely got attached to Yuki and was rooting for her and wanted to see her happy. However she is definitely a bit of a blank slate. Itsuomi is definitely written well as a very good heart throb, but he was also kinda boring. Oushi feels like he's there just for like unneces…

The romance between the MCs doesn't feel believable. It's more so about a deaf girl who falls for the first guy who shows consideration for her disability. At first, you'd think Itsuomi's behavior is "unique" just because he adjusts to her situation (e.g., lip reading, texting, etc.). But after a few episodes, you realize that anyone can do that. Itsuomi isn't anything special. He's just the first hot guy who gives her attention. Then Yuki instantly falls for him and thinks he's her entire world. Instead of navigating problems on her own (e.g., independent thinking, managing communication barriers, etc.), she just lets Itsuomi do all that for her. The whole relationship is based on Yuki's one-sided affection and dependence towards Itsuomi. And Itsuomi being this "perfect" pretty boy who th…

this is my first review im publishing, so hopefully it doest suck, here goes. so i just wanna preface this with HOLY FUCKING MELODRAMA. this is undoubtably the most over exaggerated and theatrical anime ive ever seen. it reminds me of a cringey hallmark movie with a weird play on words name like "love on frost sight" or "waves of passion" . i mean, "signs of attraction"? thats just way too much. and same with a predominant amount of the show.
sure it calmed down and mellowed out near the end, but at the start, holy shit it was just too much. i genuinley had to pause it to be like "wtf am i watching rn" or just from pure cringe. Yuki always says things that are way too detailed and poetic like(and im just making this up here but you get the idea), "i watched as the glowing snow fell down…

A Sign of Affection is a soft, pretty shoujo with a sweet premise that unfortunately didn’t fully land for me.
First off: I’m usually a dub watcher when it’s available, but I could not get through this one dubbed. The English VA for Itsuomi (ML) made him sound…like a creep. The constant low, whispery tone made him sound unintentionally creepy, which completely threw off the romance and made every interaction uncomfortable. Watching subbed is a VERY different experience. Switching to subs was the only way I could watch without cringing—and honestly, the show already leans into secondhand embarrassment territory frequently.
As for Itsuomi himself, I don’t agree with the more extreme takes about his character. I don’t think he has bad intentions, and the “predator” accusations feel misguid…

I started watching this only knowing that this was a romance with a love triangle involved, but after just watching a few episodes I realised that this anime was much more than just that, the relationships in this show felt so pure and loving that I wanted to see more and more of it, the writting was amazing and I could tell a lot of love was put into it, the animation was also amazing and beautiful.
Overall this was an adorable romance aime were the main leads actually share an emotional bond and have real comunication, slowly falling deeper and deeper in love with eachother throughout each episode.
I binged this show in one night and loved seeing them fall even deeper inlove with eachother throughout each episode, even the side characters felt so alive and interesting I caught my lonel…

I have never watched a more bland romance in my life and i have watched so many dumb things.
ML womanizer who makes moves/flirts in ways literal harassers do.
This just tells me '' if you are good looking and hot you can get away with literal harassment '' like bro you barely know her keep ur hands to yourself stop being so damn creepy.
FL is literally 19 and acts like she has 10. 0 Personality not only for her but for all characters. Bland. Bland. Bland.
I dont even want to comment on the childhood friend my guy is a insecure bihh whos a "tsundere" type. The only cute and good quality he has is that he learned sign language for the FL.
Her being deaf is literally a plot point insted of being a character trait.
The author does not know how relationships work ig? Because if he did who in…

I think most of these comments are hating a little too hard. I mean, I also had high expectations because of the different ways that the author could have portrayed the def angle of the mc but unfortunately, it felt like a tacked on gimmick inside of a very trope heavy liner story. However, I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. After the first few episodes, I realized that the vibe of the show caters to a shoujo/feminine/pure audience. So, if your down for mellow drama and a pretty shallow ride this is for you, but I think I does THAT very well. The short, poetic monologs of the mc and the long shots of the character expressions are wholesome and cute. its worth your time if your looking to turn your brain off.

A wholesome, cute and mature romance. If you're looking for this—added by a shoujo writing-style writing, go for it.
But first, can I just say how cute Yuki is? Goodness me.
Anyways, this anime got a simple plot and is mostly character driven. It's about the relationship between the two main characters—but also occasionally the side characters which is also as interesting. You see how each of the characters develop, and I'd say it's almost like a slice-of-life kind of thing.
The show also displays a mature perspective in regard to how a deaf person would interact to other people. The sign language and the character's desire to learn it provides a decent insight and depth to the story. Besides that, I like how this anime also respects other countries through the main hero (Nagi Itsuomi)…

It's an average slice of life romance anime that shows the ups and downs of the human experience, but the viewer can choose what they want to take away from it. I found myself following the motions of the sign language and gained an interest in learning it. Also, as someone who wishes to travel, seeing Itsuomi head off to foreign countries was inspiring. Did I call out the cringey moments when they came? Yes! But as cringe as they were, they were also cute. This is a sweet anime that covers a broad enough range of emotions to not be monotonous.
I'll admit, the male lead Itsuomi is a very handsome, calm, charismatic, sociable, cultured, kind, emotionally mature, and thoughtful guy. He's practically a perfect man, which makes him unrealistic, but the heart of certain audiences may flutter…

I really understand people who are calling it a Shoujo cliché. At first, I thought about giving up because the character is deaf and I thought it would be too cliché to gain an audience. However, it turned out to be a work for those who deeply understand love. Love is born from a glance, born from admiration, born from the deep desire to know the other. For me, that's what happened. For me, it's a pure and beautiful work that speaks of love in its most beautiful form. I loved every episode and YEEESS it made me cry.
Of course its predictable, is a love story but its constructed really well and it makes sense for me.
The art is glorious!!!

This kind of made me cry because of how wholeseome and beautiful it is, usually I'm kinda of unimpressed when I see the "tiny woman who looks 12 and has a really high-pitched voice and cries easily" female protagonist and the "absurdly tall and muscular" male love interest trope in romance animes, but this one didn't bother me because of how well written the male lead is- he's good at communication, well-spoken, mature and so sweet to her that it made me actually pissed off that very very few men are like that in the real world and I was so envious of their relationship, so that's how you know it's a good show.

Look, it's simple.
Do you want a plot, believable characters who make sense and grow, a romance that makes sense? Then go watch something else.
Do you want a cute shojo where everything goes according to keikaku, people are handsome and everyone is happy without earning it? Just turn off your brain and get some fluffy moments? Go for it, but you'll have to *really* turn off your brain. I had a bad winter day and it cheered me up.
Bonus:
Do you want to watch correct use of japanese sign language? Go for it. It's aesthetically a very beautiful language. It's not even a gimmick so much as included for its aesthetic and the authors did their homework and clearly appreciate the language. I can imagine that the author saw a beautiful girl signing and decided to write the manga around that…

This started rather well in that it's a romance that doesn't follow the tired clichés of love triangles, weak male MC, tsundere love interest, etc. Instead, we have a deaf girl and a confident pretty boy that takes the lead very early on. This was a such a pleasant surprise, and it was the reason I kept watching. That and the art style is very pleasant to look at; it seems the animation budget was not a concern at all. However, as the story went on, one thing started to bug me: Yuki, the girl MC, blushes a lot. I mean, you've probably seen those "comedies" where everyone is shouting all the time because "shouting = funny", right? Well, here the equation they came up with is "blushing = cute", so why not make the girl blush every other minute? It gets tired real quick. Also, the characters…

Genuinely one of the most wholesome anime I have ever watched. At first, I thought this show would be overly cheesy—and maybe to some it is—but there are so many tiny moments that gave me the biggest smiles or the most honest laughs. I think there’s a lot of depth to the character writing and the subtleties of how the characters interact, plus the art style is truly top-notch. In addition, the music is really good throughout the entire show and the intro and ending theme are really catchy as well.
I adored this anime, and I hope you do too. ❤️

A Sign of Affection delivers a gentle romantic drama that explores communication, curiosity, and emotional openness through the perspective of two people who experience the world very differently. Rather than relying on dramatic twists or intense conflict, the story focuses on the quiet process of learning how to understand someone else’s world, both emotionally and physically. The narrative follows Yuki Itose, a university student who has been deaf since birth. Yuki lives within a relatively small and familiar environment shaped largely by written messages, sign language, and the supportive people around her. Her daily life revolves around navigating a hearing world that often moves too quickly for her to fully keep up with, whether through rapid conversations or environments where commun…

One of the best romance anime I’ver watched, from my perspective honestly!! I love the slice of life style with no major conflicts that make you stress out and worry. I think it would be suitable for someone who’s looking for something chill and VERY adorable to watch. The animation is great, no complaints and this series just filled with love and how each couple will reach to each other in a healthy way. Just one disappointment for me is that I wish they’d show more stories of other side couples instead of mostly yuki and itsuomi even though I KNOW that they are the main characters.

I watched this anime because of an Instagram reel that showed how sweet Itsuomi is. I loved the animation and the art style. And really just because I love tall, handsome, white-haired men. But watching this, Itsuomi felt too perfect to be true. His personality lacked the kind of depth or flaws that would make him feel truly authentic. I don’t know, this is just probably how I view the world, but it felt like he only displayed his “good” side to Yuki just to show her what she should only see. It left me wondering if we ever really saw the real Itsuomi. The ending is like a Wattpad story where everyone was happy, but in order for a lot of people to relate to this and kind of engrave it to their memory, I kind of wish it was as close to reality. Despite my reservations, this anime series mad…
