WOW. THIS IS ASS.
I cannot comprehend how people like this, holy shit. i dont even know where to start. I guess by the only positive thing i have to say about it: the animation is beautiful. Now onto everything else:
Literally nothing happens ever in this anime. All the character conflicts (wether internal or with others) are pulled out of their ass and are so so so painfully overdramatic for no reason. The main character is super insecure or whatever the fuck because he is tall, blond, cool, sexy, intimidating, has piercings, and his family owns a bakery. Like PLEASE BE SERIOUS. GET A REAL PROBLEM!!! Same thing with all of the other characters, they all have a severe overthinking and schizophrenia problem. It's like they want to turn every very minor inconvenience into this huge terri…

Story:
Every single thing that happens is painfully generic. Its like the author made a list of every overused romance trope and made a story out of it. I've seen some people praise it for not relying on drama to be interesting but stories still need conflict to progress so that means we have to watch the main characters have stupid misunderstandings every episode and (as everyone is aware) apologise over and over and over and over again to each other. Even some of the more "interesting" ideas are completely unused, like literally what is the point of the romeo and juliet school thing? It's barely relevant to the story and it doesn't even make sense for the girls to act like that when literally every single male character is just a regular normal guy. Some explanation would maybe help but…

It's my favourite romance anime of all time I don't know what fucking happened to them who are saying it is trash but it is very beautiful plot twists and story telling character buliding everything is peak. must watch for rom-com fans the best thing about this anime is it doesn't have any fan service like modern rom com anime.the story is not unique but story telling and pacing is unique in this anime. The art style is very good it has very good animation compared to other rom com anime. The characters reacted to situations and events like realistic. I am fan of kauruko because she is very cute and beautiful. Everyone will love this anime because anime like this comes in a century.

The vibe of the pilot and the forthcoming episodes have a theme, I believe. The way I see it is clear: Two neurodivergent folk meet and hyperfixate upon eachother. That's it, that's the way the plot will make you feel, how each scene, how each line of dialogue will make you feel. The way everything is constructed, the story makes you feel like a compass, dead set on your direction. You already know where you're going, and the characters always remind you where you're going, and most of the things that happen on-screen are in service of that direction. A show with a compass.
I wouldn't call it bad, though. The animation is nice, and while I believe the writing to be transparent, everyone can appreciate a story that foretells itself. Still though, the convenience might come as a shock for n…

I'll be honest here, I don't get why this anime is so well-received. Like, I watched all thirteen episodes while taking breaks, and I still don't think this is peak romance. Kaoru Hana is something that I used to like. But yeah, bear with me as I write this review. Also, doin' something new for my reviews, let's hope it works.
=== Positives ===
+ I must admit that the art & animation are superb. I mean, it's CloverWorks, so of course you're going to see beautiful art, followed by very, very fluid animation and great directing. The way they animated Kaoruko's hair is outstanding!
+ My favourite character from the entire series is Subaru; she's a kind, caring friend to Kaoruko. Her arc in episode six, and her overcoming her fear of men, are what make her a loveable, unforgettable character.…

The anime Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is one that touches upon the first inklings of developing a relationship. The story takes place with two rival schools being the main conflict for the two main characters. Tsumugi and Karuoko go to different private schools which hate each other based on history. The story uses this as the main conflict that the two main characters have to overcome before they are able to openly spend time with each other. The show also touches upon how people form friendships and how complicated it can be for some people, especially those with trauma. One thing that the show really touches upon is the concept of being a good friend. The main character starts off with being a little reserved but eventually opens up and develops deeper friendships with the kids…

Love is a drug.
If i could describe this anime in one word, it would be a combination of sweet and funny and emotional and beautiful, all in one.
It was beautifully comforting..... Like a warm hug.
I wish i had a friendships like Rin chan & Kaorukochan had, in real life. To have that special bond of trust.... I wonder what that'd feel like....
The friendships portrayed in the series, just got to me...
Oh! To being in love and to be young again.... 🍻
(Not that I'm old! Lol 😂 but to be 20 again...)
Its crazy how much we take our precious moments... Life... For granted... When each one of those are priceless.
Also, i would ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO HAVE A SPINOFF ON SUBARU & SAKU.....
It'd be amazing.
PS : Rin chan's parents were.... Sugoi!

INTRO = "Manazashi wa Hikari"
OUTRO = "Hare no Hi ni"
BOTH ARE MY FAVOURITES .
So Let's start with the conflict between Chidori Public High School and Kikyo Private Academy was an interesting premise that draw me into this anime by it's trailer and synopsis but rather it was very badly executed filled with cliche , it didn't tell us the reason behind why girls of Kikyo high school hate the boys of Chidori , the girls from Kikyo Private Academy treat the boys from Chidori Public High School as if they were criminals or something , but when you look at them, you will see that they behave like normal school children misbehaving , having poor grades , there aren’t any huge conflicts even inside the school like bullying, misunderstandings, group rivalries , you don’t see them behaving badly o…

WOI DIABETES GUA GILA NONTONNYA!!!!!!

This is one of those romance animes that intends to, and does, bring comfort and warmth to the viewer through a serene story. No big plot twists or huge emotional turning points to cause negative affects, those that many of the other romance animes tend to include (*I Want to Eat your Pancres*). In contrast, this story follows the development of a relationship between two high school students, Tsumugi and Kaoruko, who attend neighbouring single-sex schools. However, the girls foster an intense hatred toward the boys, perceiving them as all thugs and delinquents because they go to a community school. This only makes Tsumugi and Kaoruko's relationship all the more beautiful and satisfying, as they learn to look beyond the feud and toward the other's true self.
The romance aspect was truly…

This is my review of Rin to Saku as someone who actually enjoys school life/romance anime.
Lets start off with the good of this show:
Character design/animation quality (8/10): The character design and backgrounds in this show are very nice. No surprise here from Clover Works great job as always. Waguri Kaoruko is very cutely drawn and is literally the best part of the show. I also like how the characters wear different outfits so it's not as boring to look at.
Now the bad, which is everything else:
Characters (1/10): The characters in this show all have no personality whatsoever (Waguri is the only character that is likeable cuz waifu). Lets start off with Rintaro, the most garbage MC i have seen in a while. No confidence and can only say sorry wtf. Don't know why Waguri even likes t…

All i can say that this anime is seriously great! like this is one of the most purest form of love i have ever seen in an animated series ever. Such a great watch and it shows that not all romance animes are dedicated to fan service.
Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku really hits different because it actually focuses on wholesome vibes and real chemistry instead of just throwing cheap fanservice at you the whole time. The way the main characters interact is so sweet and genuine, it’s honestly crazy how well done the romance is. Like, nowadays it feels like every other romance anime just relies on clichés, but this one is a straight up masterpiece with how pure and authentic the love feels. If you're looking for a legit good romance show that actually has a beautiful story and makes you feel happy…

The Fragrant Flower Blossoms with Dignity is a romantic Shounen and slice-of-life anime from 2025 that truly touched me with its delicacy. Produced by CloverWorks and distributed by Netflix over 13 episodes, it tells the story of Rintaro Tsumugi—a boy who looks intimidating but has a heart of gold—and Kaoruko Waguri, a girl who loves sweets and is completely free of prejudice. Their story is complicated by the rivalry between their schools: Chidori High, a boys' school for those considered "low-achievers" from humbler backgrounds, and Kikyo Girls' High, an elite school for the daughters of wealthy and prestigious families.
Visually, the anime is a little gem. The drawings and animation emphasize the sweetness of the story but also manage to do justice to the darker, more menacing moments…

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity was incredibly cute and ended up being one of those romances that simply makes you smile while watching. Yes, it has that very familiar high school romance formula, but I honestly didn't mind it at all because of how charming the characters and their relationships were.
What I liked the most was the contrast between Rintarou and Kaoruko. At first glance, they seem to come from completely different worlds, especially because of the rivalry and differences between their schools, but their relationship develops in such a sweet and natural way.
Rintarou is also a character that became very easy to like. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is genuinely kind and caring, and watching him slowly become more confident was really enjoyable. Kaoruko is equa…

It's personally not super memorable to me, but has really solid characters and good friendship bonding moments. I'm always a sucker for the setup of really big delinquent-looking guy who's really nice and awkward and tends to scare people off because of his looks. Somehow they're always a part of a bakery. I think this anime also does social anxiety and isolation pretty well.
Also needs an award for one of the best pair of parents I've seen in anime. They're functional, they support each other and their son, they rib each other naturally, they're a complementary force in their family-owned business. The dad fits somewhere in the venn diagram of that meme that's like “cis white guys think women want muscle hunks, but all the women i know want an elf prince, a depressed middle age father, or…

This was recommended to me in the same breath that Blue Box. And say what you want about Blue Box, but it's admittedly vanilla characters have a decent amount of realism and complexity and layers to what they do and think, and it's slow-burn relationships have a bunch of twists and turns that change the dynamics in all sorts of ways, and it's straight up one of my favorite romances out there. This is to say, I like vanilla romance, and I like it quite a bit.
But this one is just mediocre. It's unfortunate. The animation is amazing and all that, but beside that everyone is just a one-note cardboard cutout. Protag's kind. He's so damn kind. That's it. That's all there is to him. Waguri is... well she's also just kind. They apologize all the goddamn time too. The layers and hidden reasons be…

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is a sweet anime that really captures the subtle love story between Rintarou and Kaoruko. The pacing is slow in the best way—it gives you time to connect with the characters and feel their emotions without rushing through important moments. The dialogue delivery and character development are handled with care, and the story builds naturally so that by the time the last episode arrives, nothing feels forced or out of place.
One of the things that stood out is how much the anime values friendship. You see it clearly in both Rintarou’s circle and Kaoruko’s, and it adds another layer to the story beyond just romance. The way the characters grow alongside their friends makes the bond between the leads feel even deeper. It’s not just about two people fall…

I want to say this: if this is your first ever romance anime, it's an okay introduction but other than that this anime is DOODOO CACA for a lack of better words. the plot is boring, the character development is so surface level you can walk on it, the characters are badly written and the pacing is horrible. It's like an anime that was written to be a slow burn but the author doesn't know how that works so they just winged it.
What drove me insane was that every thought had to be vocalized like I'm 12 years old and I can't understand what a character could be thinking. We have reached a point where being boring is the worst thing that a media can be and this was a SNOOZE FEST. I especially disliked how everyone seems to fawn over Waguri and she has apparently no flaws? Rintaros whole scht…

I think The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity is a beautiful shoujo, and honestly, it's exactly the kind of classic shoujo romance that is easy to love. On top of that, the technical side is probably one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in a romance anime. The character designs are gorgeous and incredibly detailed, and the whole anime has such a warm and pleasant atmosphere. That alone should be enough to consider it an excellent anime.
And yet, for some reason, I can't completely connect with it.
It's not that I dislike the story or the characters. Quite the opposite: I really like the main cast, and I especially enjoy the supporting characters. I also love how sweet and wholesome the relationships are. There are many moments that genuinely made me smile, and some of the quieter o…

Great show for what its worth, beautiful animation as well.
I could maybe understand some of the criticisms of the show like the characters not having that much depth in them falling into typical anime, protagonist stereotypes, but the slow and unique pace of the show makes up for it.
I enjoy how the show let’s the audience decide whether to believe the dislike and tension between the two schools, and also shows us that even given the history, the students from both schools can get along.
Hoshina had some trauma that maybe could have been dived into a little deeper, but I digress as she isnt really a main main character. I wish we also could have gotten a full festival episode‼️‼️
Overall 8/10
