Holy peak - one of the most wholesome and incredible romcoms that I’ve watched - genuinely don’t know the last time I watched a show with so many green flag characters and a show without unnecessary dragged out drama and basic tropes like love triangles - the trio of takeo rinko and sunekawa was so fun to watch and absolutely incredible charachters - one of those romcoms that established the pair verily early and built something incredible off of it - genuinely an all timer watch only thing I dislike is the useless no need of ichinose who I think is a an arrogant asshole that there was literally no need for - other than that a special watch and I can’t wait to read the rest in the manga

The trio of Rinko, Takeo and Sunakawa Carey the whole show. They're the whole thread through a good and goofy romance story of high school love and friendship. It took me a while to be hooked to the random comedy especially from Takeo with his energy.
Sunakawa had the better dry humour approach and was the logic helping Takeo, even if he didn't want to at times🤣
Rinko is the love interest of Takeo and from the time they meet,they're opposites that attract. And the chemistry and story progresses as they progress with their relationship.
The reason why it may be a little dry is because the story has nothing much too offer except standard romcom-anime tropes, so it's enjoyable to fans who are used to the genre.

This is my first review, please forgive any mistakes, It's a masterpiece, is very romantic, I feel that is different from the others animes, for me is very romantic and fun, and it doesn't need the fanservice to be awesome, it has a romance very pretty, innocent and sweet, the characters are too realistic and completed for their defects and mistakes, and Yamato is very cute, is too cute thanks for that design, the art is beautiful and different, the design is strange but functional, that more can I write?, I recommended it, it's worth it watch,it's just perfect, it speaks for itself, for me is perfect.

Welp, I definitely went ahead and ruined every single other romance I'm gonna watch this year, that's for sure! Cuz there ain't NO WAY this one is getting topped! I am actually deceased! This was an absolutely perfect series! So I've known about this show and its premise for years and I always had a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I was going to hate it. Takeo is a boy who doesn't fit into the Japanese aesthetic standards. He's super tall and wide, and is admired by boys for his strength and rejected by girls, unlike his best friend, Suna, who is the handsome boy in his class. Hell, anyone I talk to that has seen this show loves this show. Even the people I know who pretty much only watch shōnen loved this.
There aren't many stakes, and the ones that show up are very common in slice of life ones. Things that most people will experience some time in their lives, but they balance those with the romance and comedy throughout it. It's great. A very wholesome story to watch. The romance between Takeo and rinko is great. It's so sweet I felt like I would get diabetes from it.
They focused a lil bit too much on Takeo's side of the story though and left out a lot of the story from rinko's side. Like rinko got introduced to Takeo's family but takeo didn't get introduced to rinko's family. They focused on rinko in the last two episodes and left a feeling of incompleteness. The characters are very well made although I feel like they could have focused a little more on suna and his story.

optimistic slice-of-life bright dramedy with a focus on the small stuff that we try to sweat and then leave to fester, self-doubt, body / self-image, petty problems, in the tangle of new love. Pop the bubbles and water the soil.
prefer the manga. Decent adaption, but stylistically adapted too cleanly, like not-all-but-most mainstream stuff post 2000's digi-paint era. Decent-enough translating and intertwining of Aruko's illustrative quirks into movement and set-pieces.
Both voice acting teams did a decent job as well, it's good, it's fine ! The whole endeavor just feels redundant to me, would still recommend to anyone interested who prefer watching anime instead of reading manga.

This anime has got to be one of the best romance comedies I have ever watched, the characters are lovable and funny, the romance and relationship development between Yamato and takeo is very heartwarming. Also,suna's and takeo's friendship is so tight they're always there for each other it makes my heart melt, I was sad that suna rejected amami but I didn't think they are a good ship anyway, I really wanted to see suna Falling in love he's one of my favorite characters for sure. He's so hot kind and smart and he reads people's actions and emotions very well and pays attention to his sorrundings unlike takeo lol, the op and end songs are so good .there was definitely moments where I felt bored while watching but overall I give it a solid 9.

I have no clue why I waited so many years to watch this show, but I'm glad I finally got around to it! As a fan of the shojo genre, I'm used to all the different character molds for both female and male protagonists and love interests, and this somehow manages to go completely outside of the box! A male protagonist is a rarity in shojo, especially one that is not "conventionally attractive", and it's even rarer for a male character like that to have someone fall in love with them literally at first sight! Despite this, it doesn't feel forced at all, and the love between the two characters is believable and above all else- adorable!

While Ore Monogatari or My Love Story doesn't reinvent the wheel or redefine anime romance stories. Ore Monogatari is a good chill time and is very inoffensive in the best way possiible. To me personally it felt like a breath of fresh air. There were no gimmicks such as "Trying to get him to say I love you" or "I'm in love with a really shy girl"; (btw not bashing the anime I am referencing, both are absolutely fantastic and I highly reccomend both series) instead it just focuses on the two main character's budding relationship as they just simply enjoy each others company in the most innocent way possible. Ore Monogatari!!/ My Love Story is couple's slice of life anime. The story shows a nice progression of a relationship during very common goals. The storyline is clean for a romantic type anime ( no sexual situations). The art style is fun and dynamic. Though there isn't stunning scenery it gives a very comforting feeling to watch. The characters have a great balance of equal interest for the relationship. By the end of the series you should feel satisfied though I wish there was a second season. Overall there is a good layer of comedy, romance, and slice of life.
I would not recommend for children however there are no situations I would find adult or mature.

I give it a high rating for personal reasons, the story is enjoyable but its not that interesting, there is not conflict and it doesn't show nothing new, what I mean is that you are not going to be excited when you watch the show, neither suprised, but if you like pure romance you are going to be amused and you are going to have a good time.

This anime is very wholesome and funny. There wasn't a stereotype at all for Takeo's character, the story is very loving, Rinko really loves Takeo and that's awesome. Falling for someone not for their appearance but for their heart. It was a bit annoying how every character was struggling for love, but it's in the title so of course it was gonna be like that. I would have loved it if we could know more about Rinko's family, if I'm not mistaken; they were never mentioned.
It is one of the few anime's that make me genuinely smile and come back to home excited to watch another episode. Totally would recommend it.

The truth is that I started to watch this anime with a broken heart, recently the person I love rejected me with this in mind, I am going to say what I think. The protagonist is very endearing, I feel that he represents very well the boys who are never lucky in love.
