Good looking and well animated.
Full of funny moments, good action and thrill, mysterious scenario and backstory.
The way that magic is presented in the classroom by the replacement teacher is interesting and more so how it works in this world.
Although not explored that much the variables in how it works is cool.
The characterization of each personality is good, there was a vast cast but ofcourse still limited.
There was even a character in specific that was a big lookalike on another popular anime that I wondered where this was going.
The Main Character our replacement teacher seemed to be a worthy and capable fighter.
But it wasn't always like that.
I'd really like that 2nd season to come soon.

Lazy mage becomes a teacher, and the same character is taken hostage in every arc of the anime.
Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records is an anime with a simple story. We follow Glenn, who initially becomes a teacher against his will and now teaches a bunch of forgettable characters with little importance to the story, except for Rumia (the heroine who is taken hostage in EVERY conflict in the anime) and Sistine—Rumia's friend and the main heroine.
As mentioned before, Akashic Records (I won't write the full name of the anime) has a simple story. The order of events always follows the same pattern—heroine is captured and taken hostage, our protagonist fights someone, gets seriously injured, defeats the antagonists, and saves the day. I feel that the way magic work…

I was expecting a generic magic harem series, but instead I got a surprisingly engaging story about a once-great magician turned teacher who becomes involved in epic battles and dangerous conspiracies.
The series starts with some ecchi elements, but as it progresses, the story becomes more focused and compelling. We get entertaining arcs centered around a magic academy reminiscent of Harry Potter, secret cults, and powerful mages clashing behind the scenes.
The main character is a degenerate with a heart of gold, and his personality truly carries the show. His laid-back attitude, hidden strength, and sharp wit make him far more interesting than your typical overpowered protagonist.
I really hope we get a second season someday, because the story has a lot of potential and remains genuine…

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records was honestly such a pleasant surprise for me. I went into it with huge expectations, bit turned out to be absolutely amazing and even more than I expected. The mix of comedy, magic, action, and emotional moments worked so well together that I was hooked almost immediately. Glenn, especially, is such a fun and interesting character, he starts off looking lazy and unreliable, but the more you watch, the more you realize how much depth he actually has. The world-building is engaging, the magic system is cool, and the story keeps a really nice balance between lighthearted moments and more serious scenes. I found myself genuinely enjoying every episode, and by the end I was completely invested in the characters and their relationships. Overall, it’s…

This is totally pointless, there's still funny scenes here and there and animation is good. But besides that there's nothing that makes it stand out, story is pretty generic and bland.
It's like a wannabe GTO mixed with fantasy, but you have no reason to care about any character and there's little to no development even though they want to make things very romantically tense.
Magic system is also very generic, even the whole class characters are generic.
Do not waste your time with this. It's not even similar to trash Isekai where you know it's bad but it's somehow enjoyable. Maybe if they skipped to the real meat of the story ( The titular akashic records) it could've been interesting.
As is, I don't even know why I watched the whole thing. It's rather watch the vending machine Ise…

If you value your life and your time, do not watch the show; it is absolutely terrible. If this show were brain-rot, it would be an improvement. The story itself is not unique; it uses the exact opposite of good principles of storytelling. The characters were one-dimensional at best, nothing was realistic, and nothing was logically done. I don't know who this was made for. It was a struggle just to get through each episode. It took me way too long to get through episode one; it was so bad. It took me 10 attempts per episode to even try to get through the show.

This show is one of the most plainly average shows I have borne witness to in a long time. This is not a testament to its quality, but rather an indictment of its lack of attempt to be anything more than a cash grab. There are various issues with the product as it is, but the biggest one being that it is only supposed to serve as a poorly disguised advertisement to get people to purchase the light novel. I don't know anything about the quality of that product, but as a standalone product this story lacks almost everything to be seen as a good show.
The story is nothing unique. We follow a scumbag temp teacher at a magic academy who engages in lecherous and lazy behavior unbefitting the position of professor. We learn that he is actually a good guy at heart and only acting this way to hide…

It has it's moments but it's pretty average overall.
I took a long break after watching the first 2 episodes, and now just finished it.
It felt both Rushed and Dragged out at the same time.
We've only really scratched the surface of the actual "story" the whole season feels like a prologue. But at that the same time the actual episode and story arcs feel somewhat rushed and predictable, like all the answer become clear right away. It's very predictable.
I'd say the world building and characters is probably it's strongest side... but even the characters are real up and down, even though I like the few characters that they do develop, overall all the "character drama" feels stupid and mostly just a lack of communication.
Without spoilers "the moment with the mother, and the moment with the b…

Below average. The comedy was decent, and the story was kind of okay, but the MC's power showcase was downright infuriating. From the first episode to the last, this guy got his ass handed to him in every major fight without someone swooping in to save him. You keep hoping, "Okay, maybe this time he’ll finally show what he’s made of," but nope. Never happens.
His behavior and talking style don’t scream "loser MC" at all. The way he interacts with his students and others actually makes him come off as confident, strong, and even charismatic. Personality-wise, he’s got that leader vibe, and you’d expect someone like him to back it up in fights. But nope. When it comes to actual combat, he’s painfully average—scratch that, he’s downright disappointing. It’s like the writers forgot to match h…

Man, just thinking about this anime Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records brings back all the good vibes! I mean, this anime is seriously one of my all-time favorites, and for good reason. The story's got everything: action, humor, heart... and a healthy dose of magic, of course!
Glenn, the main character, is literally the coolest. At first, he seems like your typical lazy teacher, but boy, does he have some tricks up his sleeve! His magic skills are insane, and his sharp wit and cleverness make him a total boss. I love how he always manages to outsmart his opponents, even when the odds are stacked against him.
And the action scenes? Whoa. They're intense, they're epic, and they're ridiculously well-animated. I mean, the production team seriously outdid themselves on this one. Th…

Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor has all the elements to be one of the most entertaining anime but ultimately ends up being very meh.
The story/characters are either cliche, disappointing, annoying, uninteresting or boring.
Its about a seemingly incompetent bastard substitute magic teacher (Glenn Radars) who ends up being quite knowledgeable.
And of course you have the two cliche female main characters. One is a tsundere (Sistine Fibel) who ends up falling in love with the main character. The other (Rumia Tingel) is secretly a princess with a hidden power.
You also have the emotionless kuudere childhood friend who shows up to create a love triangle. Very by the books anime.
Its very similar to The misfit of Demon King Academy especially in terms of character design.
This is…

I first knew this through Facebook reels and thought that this show looks good so I'd give it a try. A truly underrated show. For me, I really enjoy and like this show. The story has good plot, humors, tad bit of romance for me, some characters even have their own story to be shown in 12 episodes show. For me, it doesn't really matter if it is realistic or not but the way they react on situations is somewhat okay. On to the last few episodes, it felt like it was forced instead of taking it slow. This show is a cliffhanger but it doesn't disappoint me that much, what I'm disappointed is that it has already been 6 years and there's still no season 2.

If you are someone who enjoys watching bad movies because you enjoy watching train wrecks in action, this anime is for you. This is definitely a guilty pleasure anime for me that I come back to when I need a cringe pick-me-up.
The story is kinda awful and campy. It is very enjoyable with a pint of ice cream because you already have a spoon you can gag on.
The majority of characters are archetypal AF and don't have the time to really grow, but you get enough glimpses of humanity that the character tropes are worth groaning through.
The music is actually pretty good - it is exactly what you would expect for a Shonen magic school anime. They did really well getting the vibes down.
Overall, this is NOT the kind of show you come to for something serious. It just isn't. This is something you…

Now why tf do I keep choosing animes that are hella short and not confirmed for a second season!! Like this anime was a little weird at first as these types usually are, there's the usual revealing outfits for the girls and specifically our main women characters. But the main character Glenn, even though his personality is odd he's definitely a lovable character and one who would go to the ends of the earth to protect his students. It's an amazing story that should have the rest of its manga adapted. Glenn's storyline before he came to the academy isn't talked about much but it's so incredibly interesting and we low key get left on a cliffhanger at the end of the 12 episodes. But I would highly recommend this anime to people who love action packed animes with cute girls, a strong main guy…

I've been watching this anime for quite a while, and now on my third rewatch, I think!
And here I decided to Mix Feeling, I want to say it's a recommendation but it's not very good, I want to say it's not a recommendation either, but I liked this anime at one time.
The weakness I feel is that the story has too many problems, and the only one at the center of the problem is one character, If I don't count wrongly, maybe around three times he got into trouble and that many times the MC had to save him.
In other words, this character is really a burden, and I feel that the problems in this story are placed too quickly, and there is little time to see them relax.

It's incredible how this anime managed to lose itself so much in just 12 episodes. Magic anime isn't really my cup of tea, but I found Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records promising, at least in the beginning.
The start is quite entertaining and introduces you to a world of magic with characters that captivate you for a brief period. However, strange things start happening in this anime, and it loses its value.
At a certain point, the story became somewhat confusing; it felt like it wasn't going anywhere. When new characters were introduced, this feeling of incomprehension became even stronger.
In short, the anime seemed like it was going to provide me with some enjoyable entertainment on a lazy afternoon, but it ended up leaving me with the feeling of "please just end already.…

Magic academy story which follows teacher and a pair of his pets. First intro ark (1-3ep) is great but after that it feels like chain of fillers based on generic japanese school events which you see a lot in anime. Minimum of character growth, absence of good worldbulding, lack of decent romance, couple of instances of fanservice, jokes are few and far between. All this combined and story feels quite boring.
We are shown that MC becomes aware of danger from some secret magic society at the end of intro. This group becomes constant source of struggle to him and his class and yet he only reacts to momentary dangers and does nothing to actually resolve this situation. Even worse, this conflicts are inconsequential and telegraphed in a straightforward way. They are resolved in inconsequential…

The series main protagonist is definitely a over-powered sleezy/lazy dirtbag, but they did some decent justice to his character development. Overall, this is a pretty standard harem in a fantasy realm school type of anime. So why did I give it a 9? Overall, it had a great level of comedy sprinkled in, with a decent enough plot to keep me entertained. It probably doesn't help I checked the score before I watched it, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but it certainly delivered more than what I had anticipated.
Overall, it's funny, entertaining, and the plot is reasonable enough that I would definitely rewatch it.

Akashic Records is a decent action-harem anime, with more emphasis on action sequences and character development than on romance fan service. It's a show that, while lacking in plot development and confusing at times, is entertaining enough on its own to keep you watching until the end. Additionally, if you enjoy watching shows with an OP protagonist, you'll feel relatively at home here. Overall, I would give it a 7.5/10 rounded to 8, and a 5/10 rewatchability score.
Plot: 6/10
Akashic Records' plot development leaves a lot to be desired. My biggest issue with it was the seemingly random lead-ins between arcs. In a strange way, the show is lacking in filler episodes that would help with the flow of the overall storyline. If Akashic Records was a 26-episode series, it probably would do a l…

It was an Ok anime in my regard, there wasn't any flashy/overpowered magic used it was decent, there are a lot of mysteries you will see, but many are still unsolved. Hoping for season 2. The main female cast overpowered the male MC, sad that the male MC was hyped up at the start and all of that went downhill in the later episodes, the story is interesting, and the female cast is more interesting.
The teacher and student relationship was good, the villains were interesting, and it's an OK show you can watch it if you want a magic anime with less violence and some character development is done. But a lot of that falls off.
What I liked about this show was the teacher and student relationship.
I give this series 5/10.
