This is a good second season for Baka and test. The comedy is the same as in the previous season and OVA but there is slightly less of it. This is partially due to there being a few episodes that are more dedicated to character's backstories leaving less time for a lot of jokes. Overall these episodes do add a lot to the characters so this trade-off was definitely worth it in my eyes.
In the later part of the season the love triangle stuff starts playing a larger role which I did not enjoy. The characters do become a bit less two dimensional which is nice. The animation is lovely and very vibrant and suits the tone of the anime really well. The sound was still great as well with some nice OSTs.
Overall this is a great second season with the same good comedy but with a bit more time spen…

*Brief Review-Reflections*
~~
Minami. Minami all the way. Ssssh--no, don't say another word. It should be Minami at the end. Minami deserves everything.
Season 2 of *Baka to Test* breaks the common curse on sequels as the weaker flagbearers of a story's previous installment by actually advancing the romance route and allowing a full-blooded chicken fight to properly commence on top of the consistent quality of the gang's shenanigans. The jokes ring with invention and style, the forces between the love triangle and the legally-bonded-couple-to-be compelling enough to root for everyone, the orientation of how scenes play out so alien from bland visualization, that watching every episode promises a good time with no drawback. It's been 14 years and I've heard no tell of a third season. Sob…

Ah, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!, or as I like to call it, "Stupid Kids and Their Magical Avatars - The Sequel". And let me tell you, it's a mixed bag.
On one hand, you've got some seriously funny moments. The humor is clever, the gags are well-executed, and the characters are all a bunch of lovable idiots. It's like watching a bunch of clowns try to solve complex math problems.
But on the other hand, you've got some serious flaws. The pacing is all over the place, the story is all over the place, and the animation is...well, let's just say it's not exactly top-notch.
And don't even get me started on the whole "magical avatar" thing. I mean, come on. Are we really supposed to believe that a stuffed animal…

Everyone loves a good underdog story. Seeing the little guy come back from the edge of defeat only to snatch away victory from the clearly superior force, there's just some so human about that sort of story. Only problem is that it's hard to make it realistic when it's a contest of wits with characters that are all this dumb. They have to cheat and finagle their way through each round barely scraping by and you know that even if they somehow win it's going to feel like an ass-pull. None of their victory really seems earned.
That said I did still enjoy watching this. I like the characters and the comedy is still pretty funny, even if it's getting somewhat repetitive by this point. This is even one of those shows that has a half-way tolerable English dub, which is a plus for people who hate…

Overall I felt series 2 was a bit of a downgrade from series 1, the first couple of episodes with the beach and festival were fun but the 3 episodes about Akihisa, Kouta and Yuuji trying to see the girls bathroom was shallow and got old really quick and was garbage. The other episodes were below-average, though the finale was pretty good and a return to the usual.
The characters are still as likable and good as before, we do get some backstory episodes for Yuuji, Minami and Shoko but they felt out of place in a comedy anime, though character development is always welcome.
Overall, this series was a mixed bag, there are fantastic episodes at the beginning and end but in the middle is a terrible 3 episode arc and some character backstory episodes, I enjoyed this series more than I disliked…

What a fantastic surprise. I left this anime on hold for over two years, only to find out how fantastic it is. During the COVID-19 pandemic I was looking for something joyful and I only found those tedious harems where the hero is extremely kind and full of virtues while the heroines are weak and always in need of help, in Baka to Test, forget all that!
Story: 8
The story is completely unreal, which already makes the purpose of the work clear, making you laugh with the most stereotyped events possible while playing with jargon from other works like Saint Seiya, Yu-gi-oh, among others. The school's students are divided into hierarchical grades based on grades that fight each other for privileges. It looks horrible, but it's fantastic (and it's not because of the synopsis, it's how it was d…

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! 2011
A continuation of the beloved series. This one adds for some of the most ridiculous and hilarious scenes to date. It also finishes off nicely but would have been great to get more seasons up until the final. I guess that is what the other source material is for though.
The story as said literally continues on as you would expect. It does throw in some new curve balls and the events that happen this time are another level of hilarious. It is great to see more of the cast from before being developed.
The art is the same standard as before. Maybe slightly more refined as time goes on. The scenes with the FFF inquisition are as well done as before.
The OP and ED make for a fun listen. The voices as before are great and varied. The sounds going through…

I feel that most of the reviews are misleading. The overwhelming majority hail this show as hilarious and interesting, but I certainly didn't get any of that from watching it.
I binged all of this series (season 1, Matsuri, season 2, and the specials) and I can say that it was only enjoyable for the first few episodes. The gags quickly became overused and just annoying rather quickly. All jokes in this series center around the following:
- Akihisa getting attacked by two girls out of jealousy
- Hideyoshi being a tomgirl or an ambiguous gender
- Yuuji getting stabbed in the eyes by Shouko due to jealousy
- Ninja Pervert spraying blood from his nose
- Minami being called flat-chested and getting violent
That pretty much sums up the entire series. These same gags are repeated ad nauseam to…

This anime is pretty average (or below average) in all aspects, but it manages to somehow be charming enough that it no longer matters whether the technicalities are good or not. Somehow, it's refreshing and funny in a way that's difficult for shows nowadays.
To begin with, this season has even less of a story than season one. At least in season one, there was somewhat of a point to what was happening and some sort of build up and climax. In this season, it's become short story arcs, each one spanning over a couple of episodes. Somehow, the lack of an overarching plot (other than the overly cliche romance) didn't make it boring. It was still fun and engaging without occupying my mind for the whole day. It was laid back, to say the least.
The art was nothing special. I really liked the…

Just like first season.
Simply and boring, i think there was a good joke somewhere however i may be wrong. Those jokes are so simply that only kids that have not seen many animes would like this.
So basically this season maybe a bit better but still very generic to a point where you dont realy care. So there is no story, drawing and story is just okey, characters are boring stereotypes.
Well if you like simply animes then you gona like it then you gona enjoy this but be warned, Dragon Balls is very complicated compared to this anime.

Warning possible Spoilers
Whats interesting with the second season of Baka & Test is that it goes for the path of expanding the characters instead of expanding the story.
The story continues with F-class as they carry on their crusade to make sure they have the best equipment in their class while also doing completely stupid things along the way.
Now the second sseason doesn't have a coherent story instead it has few episodes concentrating on a specific subject and then moves onto something else, but this doesn't affect the anime at all since the main reason the first season was good is because of the characters and instead this season decides to concentrate on the characters and it was actually very fun and entertaining since we even get to know more about the origins of some characters…

So...
I have watched this Anime Last January 2016 Right after Watching the First Season.
And it was Very Very Different from the First Season (For Me)
I saw How much Himeji and Minami's character developed regarding their feelings about Aki I was really touched by Minami's backstory (EPISODE 8) specially on how Aki reached out to her trying to be her friend. So this words came from Aki's mouth "Tu ne voudrais pas devenir mon amie" I was thinking what does this words mean. Then as soon Minami realizes the fact that this words aren't Japanese nor German but French and was surprised the Aki even though an idiot did this for her but yeah wrong language though LMAO ..
Still MORE MORE MORE better than season 1.
P.S Hideyoshi besto

Actually this season is 50-50 Comedy-Romance and normally i should probably praise that and in general be really happy, right? WRONG! (Will mention on the 'thoughts' section bellow)
It still contains a lot of ideas but it uses them more efficiently than the last season. The jokes and humour are updated and innovative. . . but its still hit or miss...Not anyone's cup of tea!
The Story is still the same and as the premise suggests its getting deeper into the characters.
Characters are slightly better than last season, better explained and their actions and reactions more justified and orchestrated in a weird way.
Sounds are actually a lot better! The OP more fitting its theme and the ED were really delicate. Also there are OST for some moments and without a doubt fitting and making the show e…

just to let you know, i tried to watched the 1st ep of the second season in english dub, but since i was so used to the jap dub, the eng dub sounded so bad, i only watched like the first 3min of eng dub then switched to sub.
Baka to test season 2 was a great anime. but you may be thinking, why did i rate it a 7? not higher. well, the beginning was bad. first like 3 eps were so bad but the rest were okay. i really enjoyed the last 5 or so episodes.
story: 6/10
what do u expect from this honestly? it's a comedy anime. don't get me wrong here, i really do like comedy anime. i just dont want to ratings to be biased (i want to rate everything equally, so if the story is bad, then so be it) so this is why i rating the story low. there is plot here and there but it gets blocked out by the com…

Story
The story is simple with no focus but it is still good. It have the necesary plot and situations so it can work efficiently without loosing the main object. The episodes fit together into a continuous story. It could go better with more episodes but it was good enought. In other matters, the story was Simplistic with little miniplots for complexity but they work for the main story. The ending is predictable but still enjoyable. The ending is satisfying but open so you can´t have a complete ending.
Art
It has an amainzing art. The drawings were made of especifics situations and make and hilarious moments that become Memorable. The backgrounds were poorly desinged but maybe with a purpose so i wont discard that option. The desing of the characters were complementing with the personali…

To save myself some time, I'll write this review considering both seasons and the OVA.
Let me say this beforehand: some details were changed from the light novel, some of which are major details. (What those are is up to you to find out.) And the anime did not cover all of the light novel. Nevertheless, Baka to Test is still one of the best anime out there, and is a classic must-watch. The review will be based solely on the anime.
Story - 10
Baka to Test has a very interesting premise: a school where you "fight" for your classroom status based on your score tests. That in itself was enough for me to grab this anime to my watch list. The story has a nice plot twists on it. Very humorous. The side stories does not bore you, and develops the characters thoroughly.
I have no negative though…

A lot of times, the second season is not really as good as the first one but not here. Everything is just the same fun as the first season and it doesn’t really get old at all. Some jokes are played off but they put it a little different so it feels new. Some of it actually becomes even funnier because of Yoshii’s sister playing more of a role in it.
Again, the show follows the characters and actually doesn’t really have much of the avatar battles that I would have liked to see more of. I feel that they sort of skipped out a bit on the battles again. If the name has summon the beasts in it, wouldn’t you think that they would have more of the beasts in it instead of a romantic comedy?
The episodes do have a lot more about romance and what the characters are feeling to one another to a poi…

From someone who honestly didn't enjoy the first season much (gave it a 4 on MAL), I can say this was clearly an improvement. The humor was better, the story-driven moments were well done and it was, overall, much better to watch than before.
I personally don't like this style of humor. I really don't. Most of the time I simply don't find it funny, and sometimes I get some embarrassment. Still, I found myself laughing a lot in some episodes, and even pausing some of then to breath. It's considerably funnier than the first season.
It's natural to get attached to the characters after a second season. However, the personality of everyone seems too thin to me. We get some background story at a point, and those parts are really good, but that's it. If you hate to watch beta male characters, t…

I almost forgot to do a review for this anime. Well, here's my review for this anime.
Baka and Test: Summon the Beast 2, or Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni!, is one of the greatest anime I've ever watched. If you guys watched School Rumble, Angel Beats, or Lucky Star, then you would most likely enjoy school comedies. Baka and Test basically exceeds those three previously mentioned. It reaches to new heights with it's amazingness. There is so much to talk about with this anime.
Let's begin with the story. The story is easy to keep up. It also had some funny moments, which I shall not mention. It kept me laughing. There was no dull moment in this anime. You could be in the worst mood possible, and watching one episode of this anime will get you excited.
The characters are so respectable. It…

Overall: After rating each separate aspect of the anime, the overall score averaged to 5.6, which I rounded to 6. For my review, I decided to break it down into the five parts.
Story: I felt as though the plot was just continued because of the fans that wanted more, like me. What happened to the summoner test wars? They were fairly nonexistent here. Most of the season consisted of what should be filler episodes. I'd expect something better especially from a season opening, which was a useless trip to the beach. The flashback episodes were good, though. I loved the one showing Shuoko and Yuuji as children because I was always wondering what the cause of Shuoko's infatuation was. I actually liked the last two episodes with the haunted house too. To make things short, the anime took a big di…
