The first ecchi anime I ever watched.
This anime left a strong impression on me, not necessarily because of its quality as a work of art, but mainly because it was my first experience with the genre. I think that inevitably gives me a soft spot for Prison School, even though I acknowledge it’s far from a perfect anime. It’s the kind of show that instantly evokes a sense of nostalgia whenever I think about it, largely due to the absurd situations and the scenes that have stayed etched in my memory.
One thing that still stands out to me to this day is the premise. Even after watching hundreds of anime, I still consider the scenario presented here to be extremely unique. I can’t recall many, or perhaps any, other anime with a concept as specific as Prison School's. The idea of placing a g…

Watched like 3 eps when this came out but didnt really grab me at all.
Now, probably the BEST COMEDY anime ive seen, especially if you are a man, since the show is pretty male-targeted.
Ive seen entire other animes that dont have 1/3 of the INGENIOUS PLOT this anime condenses on 12 eps and with such a ridiculous premise. The jokes are really stupid, the situations absolutely REDACTED, the characters completely dumb, still its one of the most original animes ive seen. Direction, music and animation is spectacular too.
This show has massive amounts of FANSERVICE that I didnt really noticed (obvi) since I was too invested in the plot, laughing or focused on the characters.
This shows so good it even had me reflecting on male-female dynamics/ relationship between lust and love/ building re…

Prison school is the most absurb and WTF anime I have ever seen. But the thing is that despite being overly weird and uncomfortable at points , the anime is very fun to watch.
The anime keeps you hooked with it's intense story. They combined prison break and Echhi stuff very smoothly that kept me hooked. I felt that they over did the fan service, particularly with the vice president, to a point where it feels really uncomfortable to watch. However if you ignore that and focus on the chaotic environment and the hilarious cast you will be able to enjoy the anime a lot.
Honestly speaking, I had no expectations from this anime at all and i had thought that I will most probably drop it after an episode of two ,but however it turns that the anime is not only about fan service and adult scenes, b…

Yours truly stopped laughing after a few episodes, but when he did, he was engaged by one of the best comedic-serious plots ever. Last few episodes made him laugh, but it was so engaging omg! Such high production quality! Give it a shot!
Yours truly personally liked the artstyle. All characters look unique (unlike some other Toei anime), and the faces look so artistically gorgeous! The music enhances the comedy as well as seriousness.
And yes, Yours truly feels bad for Gakuto- Bro had to do *that*.
And does anybody else hates the vice president like Yours truly did? Like that fan service was so distracting lol.

10/10. This is genuinely one of the greatest comedy animes I've watched. Every single episode had me rolling on the floor in tears of laughter.
This anime makes great use of dramatic irony throughout the entirety of the 12 episodes, which kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Each episode just seemed to build more and more suspense, nearing the inevitable climax of the prisoners' freedom.
Furthermore, the plans and schemes that the prisoners come up with only contribute to the humour of the anime even more. The plans are so ridiculously over the top and infinitely unlikely to succeed that when they inevitably do, you can't help but laugh in awe and surprise.
In addition, there's a sense of brotherhood created by the inmates which I believe is best shown with Gakuto's social sui…

Me and the boys going to the school prison for peeping at the girls (we're fucking masochists)
or
What if me and the boys had to survive absolute femdom hell?
This was an anime I heard on and off years ago, didn't expect much of it, I honestly expected some alternate reality psychological torture thriller kind of deal...now that I think about it, Kakegurui is exactly the type of thing I expected.
But what I got instead was a very delightful surprise. Prison School is a fucking PEAK, it's absolutely amazing from start to finish.
I haven't laughed this hard at a sex comedy in ages, it does both sex and comedy so goddamn well but then it gives you a very engaging plot with real stakes and characters with bonds you really come to love and care about.
There is nothing quite like this and it…

Most animes simply aren't very funny. It's up for debate whether that's from Japanese wordplay not translating well into English, or if it's from Japanese creators just not being very good at comedy in general. Anime humor mostly consists of 1) characters overreacting to things and 2) lewd cringe comedy. That's... really it. Those are the only two arrows in their quiver. While I've laughed at those types of jokes plenty of times in Western shows, that's still a pretty limited repertoire.
Prison School cranks the dials on both of those elements up to 11. This is an unrepentantly horny show that depicts men as practically being slaves to their carnal impulses, with the prospect of seeing breasts making them react like Looney Tunes characters. At first I thought this was all a bit excessive…

I literally created a account here just so I could review Prison School. This was the first true anime that I sat through and watched, my eyes glued to the screen through every episode. This is also the first show that I can remember actually belly laughing without trying or my own laughs feeling forced. I remember sitting there watching one of the episodes in the last just spewing out of me uncontrollably. This is what I've searched for and not just anime but in all media something that can make me laugh genuinely and something that can keep me glued to the screen excited for the next episode and a feeling of dread when it's all said and done. This is the show that got me also into manga because I had to start buying manga to see how the story officially ended. With all the positive revie…

To begin with, let me talk about what this anime conveys to someone like me, who was born in the 2000s.
The realistic art style, the way the characters think, and the silly thoughts that cross their minds all feel so real that I can completely put myself in their shoes! It’s as if I were back in school, but this time, I could actually get into trouble!! LOL
Even the principal has a striking personality! I love every single character, without exception!
It’s amazing how this anime brings me so many emotions reminiscent of American cartoons! I believe it’s the color palette, and at the same time, the vintage texture used is just awesome!! I love it because this anime, in particular, creates an atmosphere of a time before modern technology (smartphones and social media like today). That ma…

Where do I even begin with this anime? If I purely review Prison School on the genre I give it an 8/10 because lets be real.. There is no way you watched this and didn't laugh your ass off or cringe at how crazy some of the PLOT was. As a comedy anime within the Ecchi genre it was very enjoyable from the literal personification of LOL because who didn't LAUGH OUT LOUD when watching this? Did it also make you cringe? Hell yeah it did and I think we should leave it at that!
We could get into some of the deeper plot points dealing with misandry or the bounds of love but whats really the point when at the end of the day this anime exists to make you LOL!!!!! Speaking of cringe why was the Vice President always sweating buckets? This s why i got out of the underground student council game...…

Prison school is a hard anime to judge , considering that its jokes constantly teeter on the fence between parody and genuine fanservice/pervy-ness ; blurring that line just enough to get away with more than its probably allowed. Despite this , I think I can pretty confidently say that it has a majority of positive intentions and is one of the few anime which has been able to dredge a consistent stream of laughs out of me.
The comedy itself, whilst of course lending itself heavily towards more crass , inappropriate humour, manages not to lose the intelligence required to actually make a joke funny. I feel that a lot of other shows wouldn't run with the lack of R-18-restrictions in the way that Prison school does, where there is more than the shock of nudity or inappropriate images to get…

if you're trying to trip with something wild, funny, and over-the-top, "Prison School" is a no-brainer. The story is just plain ridiculous in the best way possible, with absurd situations that make you laugh out loud. The characters are all over the place, each crazier than the last, but that's what makes it so fun to watch. The humor is definitely not for everyone, but if you’re into something that doesn’t take itself seriously and pushes all the boundaries, this is it. Perfect for when you need a good laugh or just want to watch something completely unexpected!
"Prison School is one of the most unique anime out there with its bizarre, unpredictable story that goes way beyond the typical comedy or ecchi series. The art style perfectly fits the crazy tone, making even the most absurd sit…

I thought it was very entertaining. It kept me going like watching a movie. A lot of silly funny parts that made for a good laugh. Makes you feel like sadist watching them get beat to hell every 2 minutes. But then of course it distracts you by using a super voluptuous character exacting the punishment.
I guess it's payback for all the stuff that happens to the females in these anime.
I'm just glad it had a conclusive plot instead of these others that taken you for a ride and leave you at thr edge of a cliff with only your imagination to finish the story or you have to scour the internet to find out what happened.
Actually managed to have some suspense.
Overall entertaining hyperactive exaggerated but funny characters you can root for and get behind. Enough fanservice to satisfy those you…

A masterpiece of crack and random humor. It might be uncomfortable for some people because of it's ecchi nature, but despite not loving ecchi, I have loved this one from start to finish. There's not much doing sense, the characters are really weird. But that's the core of this anime.
The artstyle is very good and enjoyable, while the story is interesting (Not serious tho) and keeps you interested all throughout the season.
If you want something deep and meaningful, don't bother watching cause all of the fanservice and ecchi scenes are totally unnecessary and random. But if you enjoy the cringe and unexpected, this one is for you ~

I really wonder how the Japanese regulatory departments allowed such an anti-masculine anime to be made.
Throughout the anime, we see boys being humiliated and girls who seeking power and sadism.
Boys are defined as sensual animals who only care about physical and sexual desires, and girls are creatures to be protected.
The foundation of a normal school and education has been questioned and we are witnessing the promotion of a wrong kind of feminism and anti-men.
And worse than that, we see boys who accept and adapt to the unreasonable tyranny of girls instead of dealing with it rationally.
In no country and no school does the student council have the right to beat and physically deal with students, even if the student is a murderer.
I really feel sorry for the creators of such animes that…

I have a lot of thoughts about this anime but ultimately as a woman viewer I know I'm the target demographic. I rated this a 6/10; and if not that a 5.
What I liked:
The different Archetypes of the main characters
-I like how different all of the main characters are and how they all have unique silhouettes emphasizing good character design.
The art style worked well with the anime and was unique. It worked really well for the show's poster and marketing.
The premise and plot of 4 boys going to an all girl school and immediately being put in jail for their gross behavior (suffered actual consequences)
my favorite character: Mari (The president) and Hana
-i loved Hana's character and how she was introduced
Kinda liked the Comedy aspects
Kiyoshi's "Save the cat" moment was a goo…

Watched this first alone thinking it was hentai...
Really was just lying down with my tentacle in my hand thinking to myself
"man, why tf is this hentai so interesting"
Only to get to the rooftop scene, pull up my Grinch black and green pj's, and begun hysterically holding my laughter hoping that my parents wouldn't be able to hear me at 3 am.
Later, showed the anime to a friend and turned it into a staple reference point within our conversations Literally re-enacted the shower scene with da bois which later cut to us chasing after our other friend like AOT titans.
good times
well anyways, GO WATCH THIS ANIME

Normally, if you are caught peeping at school, your punishment would be suspension. At Hachimitsu Academy, you go straight to the school's prison, hence the name of this anime Prison School. When I first heard the name, I found the concept to be very intriguing, and I patiently waited until adulthood to give this anime a try. Prison School's story was indeed, interesting.
Hachimitsu Academy was normally a girls-only school, and then the rules changed allowing boys to enroll. Only five boys made it in, and they are the main characters. Their names are Kiyoshi, Takehito, Shingo, Joji, and Reiji. As you can easily guess coming from the introduction paragraph, they tried to peep on the girls and they were easily caught by the Underground Student Council (USC), an elite trio of girls that prac…

I might hate ecchi anime but i gotta say Prison School is quite the show, I was going to drop it when i realized it was an ecchi but i gave it a chance and boy am i glad i did.
The whole show just feels right, and although i wish some of the more obscene imageny was stepped down it was never really portraid as mindless "sexy girl good", everything was a caracature and exagerated on purpose, the principal's echo when he speaks alone shows how the show doesnt take itself too seriously.
The animation style is top notch, i especially like the bold blacks that are used to represent the male characters when they are depressed or serious, and their cersur here and there, as for the female characters, eh, they look alright but the panty shots will have you rolling your eyes soon enough.
As for…
