Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Separation

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Separation

Introduction

After a brutal surprise attack by the forces of Quincy King Yhwach, the resident Reapers of the Soul Society lick their wounds and mourn their losses. Many of the surviving Soul Reaper captains train to battle without their Bankai, the ultimate technique wielded by the fiercest warriors. In the previous assault, Ichigo Kurosaki narrowly managed to help fend off Yhwach's fearsome wrath. However, to ultimately defeat his godly adversary and save his allies, Ichigo must now undergo severe training that will push him beyond his physical, emotional, and mental limits. Though Yhwach already holds the upper hand in this ongoing blood feud, he also successfully recruits Uryuu Ishida, Ichigo's close friend and rival, to be his successor. Yhwach strikes out once again at the weakened Soul Society, intent on finally obliterating his long-standing enemies. As Ichigo struggles to attain new power, the Soul Reaper captains fight for survival and borrowed time. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2 was a decent watch, but it never became much more than that for me. I’d give it a mid/10 The biggest strength of the series is the presentation. The animation is solid, the soundtrack is excellent, and many scenes are designed to create hype. If you’re looking for flashy fights, powerful transformations, and cool character moments, TYBW delivers those consistently. Unfortunately, that’s also where most of my praise ends. The story felt weak and often existed primarily to move from one fight to the next. Many of the characters lacked depth, and outside of a few major figures, I rarely felt emotionally invested in what was happening. Instead of developing characters or exploring meaningful themes, the series frequently relies on power reveals and esc…

Probably the weakest part and stretch of this arc but still a great experience - continuing on from season one we were bound to expect the same level or even better but the story slowed down quite a bit and at some parts became slightly repetitive and was not as memorable as its predecessor - we are introduced to squad zero and they topple the power system showing how op they truly are compared to even the likes of Yamamoto - one problem I had with this season is that I really disliked the bg colour where the battles were taking place - overall tho was a solid continuation and left off at a great spot

In this review, I'll talk about Unohana's story. In short: Unohana's story and her death leave a meaningless void. The script treated it as a quick training session before the next fight. It lacks development and coherence, and this ends up becoming just an "anime with incredible animation." I found the story of Unohana and Kenpachi Zaraki in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War meaningless. Unohana, a powerful force, is also an incredible doctor, having to die to Zaraki in a pointless fight. The poor script rushes this story, leaving it somewhat awkward. First, the context for the revelation that Unohana was the first Kenpachi is thrown in abruptly. Throughout Bleach, she's portrayed as a calm, kind, and wise doctor, and then, suddenly, it's revealed that she was a sadistic killer and the…

The 2nd season of Sennen Kessen-hen is a step forward, but only slightly so because the 1st season was an unhinged mess. One could say Bleach was about superpowered characters becoming so overpowered, that they needed to put constraints on themselves, and you would be right. But besides that, Bleach was actually capable of creating dramatic moments between characters and building them up for fights. And outcomes where usually villains were favorable and, most importantly, memorable. Is there anything like that in this arc? No, not really. It's very rushed by throwing in a pitload of characters with no background and really no connections between them. There are no developed training arcs, save for... 3 characters hardly. But the main problem is that everything is just extremely formulaic t…

I mean...... it's Bleach..... It has good fight sequences and a lot of "let me tell you exactly how my power works". The manga would be worse, thank god the anime is better. I believe it is a solid 7. If you have time, go watch it. But if you don't watch it, you won't lose out on life. One can engage in an academic differentiation of this anime, but it would be an exercise in futility. Ichigo's struggles in his quest to his newfound powers consists of a lot of sweating and all he has to show for it is a sexier telegraphing of his one-trick-pony technique and some kick-ass dodge mechanics. To the uninitiated, this continues in his future clashes, where he has a lot more of nothing to show for it. His claims proved to be empty bravado and nothing in the show highlighted anything significant…

I am rating it an 8 out of 10 solely because of the two fabulous Episode Title Drop in Episode 14 and 21. There's nothing deep about it , I like music and i like when people enjoying what they are working on. The storyboards are fun , the choice of music is so purposeful, the output of the product itself makes me believe that the behind the scenes were a blast during the creation of this cour. Coming back to those two episodic title drops ; they just represents that jump in the stylistic presentation of this arc. That presentation works so much in favor for the show. Sue me for giving props to a visual product for being competent in its visuals. The plot isn't complex, nor the development of it is that drastic from Cour 1/Season 1 of TYBW. Heck even Cour 1/Season 1 concluded the seas…

The first part was so good. This part was a huge contrast. The main characters pretty much got no screen time. They actually went out of their way to show as little of the main cast as possible. There were scenes in the manga that progressed the development of characters that was completely left out of the anime. The scene that was cut out would've made things so much clearer, and the characters' behaviors would've made so much more sense. I think if all you care about is fighting and action, part 2 of the Thousand-Year Blood War is perfect for you. But if you think deliberately omitting moments between characters in order to fit in more fights is wrong, then maybe you agree with my review.

"Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen - Ketsubetsu-tan" is a triumphant continuation of the beloved Bleach series, delivering a masterful blend of action, emotion, and stunning visuals that will leave fans both old and new on the edge of their seats. The anime brilliantly adapts the climactic Thousand-Year Blood War arc, capturing the essence of Tite Kubo's intricate storytelling while elevating it with modern animation techniques. One of the standout features of this installment is its breathtaking animation quality. The fight sequences are more dynamic and fluid than ever, showcasing the intense battles between the Soul Reapers and the Quincy with jaw-dropping choreography and vivid colors. Every frame feels meticulously crafted, drawing viewers deeper into the high-stakes conflict and the rich, a…

these were great what a binging gold ... but i would say nowadays ichigo trains super fast which is good cause the world needs him.... though there was no ichigo in the end but what great fights never knowing who's going to win... Bleach has always had unique villains but this arc took it to another level what great villains not all because some of them are a bit too goofy but not a single one gave a bad fight.....making every episode so investing ......like the one with the power of imagination seeing kenpachi cut a fking asteroid in two made me so hyped....crazy fights.....Squad 0's powers in full display felt so good to watch great season.... . op is good and the op animation was Greatttt...i didn't feel the ed this season but it was not bad..... . i love these new seasons they make eve…

Certified Hood classic. They came back and did this series Write and Right. They cooked. I love everything about this series even the dub. The Fights the animation the Story the Voice acting the characters the Powerscaling. There's like 1 things I didn't like about this series and that is the wait for Cour 3. Binge this series. Bleach has always been a Cult classic but the way they executed both Cour 1 & 2 already lets us as a fan base know how Cour 3 will go. Let's start with the story. What makes bleach? What gives bleach it's filling? It's depth right? It feels human, some would argue that this Hurts the characters because they feel TO human and I understand the notion but the Characters and story feel real because Kubo has a talent for making these characters feel real. The charac…

Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen - Ketsubetsu-tan I can hardly decide which of the two new seasons was better or worse. Like the first, this season got off to a pretty dynamic start and delivered more Bleach lore to fans of the series. Among other things, this season also included one of the most popular Zaraki fights from the manga, which was well represented. The real problem with this season is not whether it's good or bad, but how generic it is. Absolutely nothing happens in this season that hasn't already been done several times by other shounen, one cliché follows the other, offering no variety whatsoever. The first season had already given a good start for this arc, in the sense of setting the stage for the theater act. Kubo introduced so many new characters [Sternritters] into the sto…

The next adaptation of the Bleach thousand year blood war was ofcourse one of the most anticipated animes. But the question is that do we really want to watch this anime? I would say ofcourse you need to try it. But this second part was not really convincing. The anime just goes on and on and on with battles between the Quincy and the shinigami but there is no story in it. Its packed with full of battles. The first part was was really good with the battles and the story going side by side but this part was a let down. So no high opinion its just average.

Plot: 4/25 Pacing: 5/5 Character Integration: 7/10 Character Development: 5/15 Animation: 18/25 Genre Integrity (Action, Fantasy): 14/20 Total: 53 This feels like the awkward middle child between the prequel and the sequel. Nothing really happens that can't be summarized in a few words. They could've waited before they released this season; I'd prefer to watch the following arc as well instead of leaving this on a dumb cliffhanger. The action scenes were quite nice, and because this is the middle arc between the two more important ones, they did a good job moving the pace along. All in all, its a decent watch if you are in the mood for some action and fantasy...

This is a big let down coming off of the amazing first season we had. While its just as flashy, the fights fail to have any substance and its just back to back of new bad guy vs good guy. Some of the fights are interesting but none of them are really memorable. We get some cool bankai moments, enough to keep discussion alive each week but its wholly empty. Ichigo is only in a fraction of the episodes and does mostly nothing. This season feels like more of a filler buildup to what will hopefully be an amazing season 3 so that I am looking forward to.

Judging exclusively the anime, it's awesome. Animation, visuals, sound, coloring, etc. Everything is awesome. The big shame is that all of this is spent in probably the worst arc I've ever seen in a major shonen. Villains appear out of nowhere with only a brief appearance on screen with their name, absolute zero buildup, stupid powers, most of them get dealt with in literally two minutes, and almost all of them are extremely unlikeable. The big bads and the badass Zero squad are also dumb as hell. Things happen just because, with no sense to it whatsoever. The structure of how events happen is awful. And I say this as someone who enjoyed Bleach all the way through the Battle for Karakura arc. This story was a disappointment when I read it in the manga and it's an even bigger one now that i…

Back with season two, a season after one I thought was a missed opportunity. The hype of the first continued into the second and after being told it was better than the first, I had high hopes when diving into season two. The thing that I feel I can confidently say was better than the first was the music. There was quite the variety of styles that fit the scenes perfectly. I say it was better than the first because for me, I cannot remember the music of the first. The second however, made me remember it's quality. I would probably give the music overall an 8/10. Not sure I can say this for the rest. Animation wise, personally, despite some people raving about how good it was, I felt it was rather box standard for the times. When you see what AoT delivered, what Demon Slayer delivered, ev…

Story & Characters: By now, you're probably familiar with Bleach enough to know that the war between the Quincies and Soul Reapers rages on in this second part, labeled as The Separation. Why it's called that, I'm actually not sure, but this marks the second part out of four. Is it worth continuing this adventure? Absolutely. This part fleshes out some more details both about why Yhwach is seeking to invade the Soul Society, and just how powerful some of his comrades are. Like Soul Reapers, they all have their own specialized abilities and even if some are a little more duller than others, they still make for some fantastic fights. What I will say is that fights are a touch less creative than previously seen in both the Blood War arc, and the main Bleach storyline, just because many of the…

This second part is very good, although it is not excellent, that is why I gave it an 8. I gave the first part a 9 and I gave the original bleach a 10, to put it in context. After the news of the return of bleach, the anime has returned to its old ways, with dozens of battles with an excess of secondary characters that do not interest me at all, both quincies and shinigami. For me the strong points of this second part are the scenes related to the quincies' past, as well as when they explain the reason for everything and everything that happens in the spirit king's palace. The battles follow a very marked pattern where it seems that I defeat you but no, then you defeat me but no, then I defeat you again and so on infinitely until they decide that enough is enough. This acts as a filler fo…

I really really REALLY wanted to give it a 10, but after finishing this part , I just get the feeling that things were left out. I read the manga like a decade ago, and while I don't remember the details, I KNOW that we should've seen some particular fights and new reveals back in Seireitei before they went to the King's Palace...... am I remembering wrong, what's going on? Did they cut the content? Some reveals are really huge so I can't believe they done this. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, or maybe they will rearrange the events timeline tho that makes no sense because some people that are now in the king's palace should be down in seireitei, will they just force them down again for no good reason? It's just a complicated mess.... Anyway, besides cutting content, everything else is a 10…

The final Bleach arc continues. Once again, the anime helped clean up pacing issues and the lack of all the stops and stars during the manga's run also helped the story feel more engaging. However, since this is a part 2 and one of the middle parts of the arc, it has the awkward placement of diving right back into things and then exiting with a long wait until the next installment. That said, it's definitely worth the watch. If you enjoyed the first part of the arc, you should like this one too, but there's not much to really say about it since it is so in the middle of everything.
