Scissor Seven

Scissor Seven

Introduction

To the casual eye, the amnesiac bounty hunter Wu Liuqi looks quite intimidating. With his deadly telekinetic scissor techniques and his ability to seamlessly transform into anything, one would not expect his modest demeanor. In fact, Wu is quite terrible at his job. Often times the freelancer can be found botching an assassination or targeting the wrong person. While his failures could be due to his subpar skills, it usually boils down to him being a normal kid, with a heart unsuited for his line of work. Accompanied by his feathered friend Dai Bo, Wu is on a simple quest to regain his memories. Although his inconspicuous day job as a hairdresser and his after-hours occupation are simply a means for him to repay debt, his various ventures seem to intertwine with his pursuit to recover his lost past. Without a doubt this is the best example that the Donghuas are very underrated, Animation and Drawing of 10, Super Funny, Good and Unique story and Spectacular and Epic fight scenes, they combine serious scenes very well, adding comedy scenes and making them a very good mix, Literally the only bad thing about it is that the episodes are very short and that it still unfinished, Thanks to this donghua it left me wanting to see more Chinese animated series of this style, if you like fight and comedy animes with good animation you have to watch this. 10/10 recommended ✂️.

Im really into kung fu, so this show already had me hooked because of that. The fight scenes and martial arts style were probably the biggest reason I kept watching. There is something about seeing different fighting styles and techniques that just hits different for me 😂 The episodes are also really weird and funny, sometimes I was laughing at how random things could get. The comedy worked pretty well for me, especially when the show suddenly goes from serious moments to some completely ridiculous shit. Tho I still feel like something is missing. I cant really put my finger on it, but there were moments where I felt like the show could have given me more. What really pulled me back in was the MC's past. Once they started revealing more about who he was and what happened before, I becam…

I mark all the anime I watch as “I’ve only watched the first season,” but I actually watch all the seasons. Wow, this is a true work of art. You should frame this anime and hang it in a museum. Like any anime, it has a few flaws, but they’re easy to overlook. I really loved (Seven)’s personality—it was amazing. Even though the plot is absurd, watching it is a real pleasure. I never got bored while watching it. The mix of comedy and seriousness kept me glued to the screen... The art style is beautiful and the characters are wonderful. The bond between (Seven) and Chicken Island is so cute (the way he warms up to it over time, showing he belongs there). The voice of the boss character, the blue bird, is quite good. The supporting characters are great too.

Scissor Seven is an often comedically absurd, action-oriented show about a wannabe amateur assassin posing as a hairstylist on an island chock-full of eccentric characters and situations. This season feels strongly like a pilot that seeks to establish a solid enough foundation while attempting to convince you of its potential. Episodes are notably short as an original net animation, and sometimes lack additional details, but this fast-paced formula actually works surprisingly well. Most noteworthy was the nonsensical humor and its consistency, minus the cringeworthy fourth episode. Though the series balances its comedy and more serious narrative tones excellently. This story certainly has more to tell.

After finishing the 5th season, I figured I just count this review for the whole series Honestly this is really good, It's got really good comedy, A decent plot that you can get immersed in, Some of the best animation I've seen which was surprising especially in its fight scenes, I liked a lot of characters in this as well I'm not gonna go into any spoilers but I will say that this was worth a watch My ranking for this is a 10/10, Definitely a series worth watching and one you can finish pretty easily since it's not long

Short Review – A Hidden Gem That Has It All. Personal stats: As of May 2025, I’ve finished 161 anime with a mean score of 7.31. Scissor Seven rating: 10/10. I found Scissor Seven by chance — I saw a funny clip online and decided to check it out. At first, I thought it was just a comedy, but I was really surprised by how much more it offers. The comedy is top-notch, but the story gets serious and emotional too, especially as the seasons go on. There’s great action, touching moments, and characters that actually stick with you. The animation uses a unique “shadowless” style, and it looks amazing. The fights are creative and fun, the music is incredible, and the opening videos are some of the best I’ve seen. It’s a Chinese anime, so it doesn’t get as much attention as others — but it rea…

✂🌀Who Knew There Was That Much Crack In The🌀✂World? 💈Excellent💈 Only minor spoilers 🌀 Here he is! Running in 1.5 dimensions, scissors in hand, with his battle cry: "I am The Senior Hairstylist at Dai Bo Fei Hair Salon!!" The author picked the right day to sniff glue. S7 somehow comes together as a series that is pure pleasure to watch. Snip and a clip with him at least until Ep10 before you make a decision about the show. Episodes are under 20 minutes, so they fly and spin by. S7's so strange that one cannot tell in the early episodes what it really is. I'm still slightly confuzzled (though pleased). Seven. Scissor-007, is his name. License To Kill is his game, and ✂ are his weapon of fame. He gets some blame, he thinks it's a game, but it's 💴 down the drain. So his partner is poo…

I wasn't sure what to expect when coming into this show. It's got a very unique art style, and kinda reminds me of a saturday morning cartoon. After the first episode, I was entertained enough to keep going and see what the show had in store. It's a bit of a slow burn, despite being 15 min episodes, but the payoff was worth it. The show revolves around Seven taking on different hitman jobs, and we get to learn about a lot of the inhabitants of the island. They've all got quirky and unique personalities, but they feel realistic, despite the absurdity. This show has a few moments where I'm wondering why they did something a certain way, and a character will outright call it out. I should mention I watched the English dub, so I'm unsure if the dialogue is changed much from the original, but…

This show has got to be out of my age range but I'll still give my pretty exact POV of it. First and foremost I'm just going to say it, I thought the show was boring as hell all the way until maybe the last two episodes where I guess something actually... happens? The wait for the climax was excruciatingly long and I could only have made it this far because the episodes were short. Why did I think it was boring though? Well it pretty much got overhyped for me when I was seeing bits of it (mostly action) on my socials and I was surprised to find out the show was from China after wondering where the Japanese sub was (which I will touch upon later). Anyways yeah basically I got disappointed at the lack of action and the amount of what was basically a version of Peppa pig to get near the end.…

Scissor Seven is an example of alternating serious, emotional scenes and comedy done right. Finding a show which can provide their audiences with such an emotional rollercoaster and good comedic timing quite like this one is no easy task. This season features a cast of diverse characters who do a great job at capturing the viewer's hearts within the relatively short amount of screen time each one of them gets. Each one of them has a unique backstory and their own reasons for being the way they are, you can't help but feel attached to even the ones who don't seem very likeable at first glance. (savage granny for the win) Hopefully we will get to watch the show explore the character dynamics in more detail in the next seasons seeing as this one did not focus one that aspect very much. Alth…

English. What a beautiful series this is, at the beginning although it convinced me from the first minute, I didn't expect much from it but after the passage of episodes I found a great gem, I would like to start by emphasizing that the animation is a gem, different types of animation together to denote fluidity in the movements of the characters, also unique scenes where the animation changes completely that is greatly appreciated, a story that, although simple, is creative and sows what will be seen in subsequent seasons or a mystery that, although it has not been told It has me super excited, the characters, in addition to being creative, are so charismatic from the beginning of the series, each one keeps a little piece of my heart. If you have not seen this gem, it is highly recommende…

When i first begin this show, i had little to no expectations for this show only because the first ep was pretty much that, there was little to no interesting characters or plots that I wanted to see. But let me tell you the show started to become more and more interesting as each ep went by, turned out to be one of my favorite shows to watch that season. The story begins with a guy who wants to be a professional assassin. What happens next is where it gets really interesting. I believe the method in which the creators take this average guy and take him down a world of mystery to something that is super interesting was executed beautifully. You start of with a pretty boring introduction and then you get slowly pulled in to the story and it only gets more and more interesting with every e…

This show is so good, its unfortunate that its so short. Its also Chinese, which idk if that still makes it an anime but whatever. Anyways this is something you should probably watch, here is why 1. the main character, he is very cool. he is who men aspire to be. he is a barber, poor, and needs to be a hitman in order not die of poverty. hes not that weak but he still takes a lot of L's, but he is a bad hitman and stays in poverty, so he is still mainly a barber. he also has a dark past that you can find more about in later seasons 2. the animation, very good. i love the animation. art is very nice, just look at some scenes. 3. its very charming. honestly while this is pretty comedy centric, i didnt laugh a lot, but i did find it very charming. it makes you feel good watching. this is n…

I have no idea for whats there to not like about the anime Pros - Action packed No filler Short intro Superb writing Great comedy Cute animation Great music Simple Lore easy to comprehend Cons - Short Summary: Its such a good anime that it deserves more recognition. Its very engaging and so fun to watch. The writers are squeezing content into every frame possible. They dont have to compensate by adding futuristic animation. You can see the passion in the writing of this show. The animation looks low budgety and the span of episode is short but the writing makes it all worth while. Unlike other types of anime, this one does not add unnecessary dragging out making it feel like a overdramatic netflix show that tries to pump out episodes just for the sake of pumping out. It certainly…

At first, I came to watch this because I heard it was a hidden gem of a show. And am I glad I listen. MUSIC WAS AMAZING. it was not annoying or way too long. plot was good too . overall, a very good anime that made me go to tears, made me laugh left me with my mouth hanging open all throughout and every single episode I was mostly expecting action and it gave me way more than that. one of the anime that i will happily recommend to anyone if i am ever asked others might critique it because it has an expected storyline but that is what gave it its charm

First Story 7/10 The story is about a barber wants to be a killer, but always fails. Season 1's story is kinda boring than s2 and s3's, due the story is repeated. Seven got a commission, it fails, next episode, do the same. Art 10/10 It has such a unique style. Amazing animation, effect, everything. Just really really perfect Sound 7/10 Some sfx are satisfying, but some voice actors got no emotion. They really did a great job, but sorry. English dub did better. Character 8/10 7 is a likeable character, some of the characters got a realistic personalities and funny personalities. Like it Enjoyment 10/10 Love the comedy, kinda reminds me of OPM. Overall 8.4 (8) /10 Worth to watch, waiting for the movie!!!

This review accounts for all 3 seasons. Let me preface by saying that this is the most underrated show I have ever watched. And by underrated I mean that more people should see this show. I started this show thinking it to be some weird niche show that only had humor going for it, and a story primarily episodic in nature. Boy was I wrong. The story and art are wonderful as long as you can deal with the occasional goofiness. This show is incredibly unique and I'd highly recommend it if you're sick of the usual generic style of anime character, art, or story.

*This review might contain some spoilers* Scissor Seven is a Chinese animation that's about a man named Seven (I think that's his name, or nickname. His real name is Wu Liuqi, but it's rarely said) who has amnesia, not knowing who he was in the past. Therefore, he goes through a journey to recover them, how he lost them, and what his true identity really is. It's a good premise, but overall, it is executed in a manner that I generally didn't like. However, there were some other elements that help me at least enjoy the story. Let's start off with the story and its building-process. It's pretty mediocre not gonna lie. Most of the episodes retain the same process of Seven getting a job, nearly succeeding it, then decides to spare the target, for whatever reason. Even though some of these…

[mild spoilers!] Scissor Seven is one of the greatest, most well thought out anime I’ve ever seen, alongside being criminally underrated. It’s fun, refreshing, exciting, and charming as all hell, and I can’t recommend it enough. While later seasons transition to a more typical anime style--still villain-of-the-week, for the most part, but with a stronger and more consistent emphasis on a continuous overarching plot--season 1 is very episode-by-episode in terms of plot: for the most part, the focus is on establishing individual characters, their abilities, and their relationships (especially to Liuqi). Part 1: Characterization The characters themselves are fun, exciting, and complex. In regards to characterization, I personally find that many people seem to confuse “complex” for “compli…
