Domestic Girlfriend

Domestic Girlfriend

Introduction

In their teenage years, few things can hurt people more than the heartaches that come with unrequited love. Such is the case for Natsuo Fujii, who has found himself entranced by his school's ever-cheerful teacher Hina. Deflated by this unreachable desire, Natsuo humors his friends and attends a mixer. There he meets Rui, a girl whose lack of excitement rivals that of himself. After bonding over their mutual awkwardness, Rui takes Natsuo to her house and asks him to have sex with her, hoping that the experience will stop her friends from treating her like a clueless child. With his hopeless feelings towards Hina still on his mind, Natsuo hesitantly agrees. Equally unfulfilled by their "first times," the two decide to part ways as strangers. However, before he even has a chance to process this experience, Natsuo's father drops a major bombshell: he is getting remarried, and his new wife Tsukiko Tachibana is coming over now to meet Natsuo. As if that was not enough of a shock, her daughters—and, in turn, Natsuo's new sisters—are Hina and Rui Tachibana, the woman he's in love with and the girl with whom he shared his first night. Now, Natsuo must come to terms with the feelings he has for his step-siblings as his eyes open to a darker side of love. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Good anime, and the opening theme is absolutely badass! Domestic na Kanojo is one of those anime that’s hard to forget once you’ve watched it. Not necessarily because it’s a masterpiece, but because the premise is so absurd and unique that it grabs your attention right from the start. It’s a romance that completely breaks the mold, relying on shock value to drive its story. Many people started watching precisely because of that reputation, and honestly, it makes sense. Right off the bat, we meet Natsuo, a boy who ends up sleeping with a girl he just met at a group hangout. There was no love, passion, or romantic buildup; it was impulsive, practically a fluke. The kicker is that he’s actually head-over-heels in love with his teacher. If that sounds strange enough, the real craziness begin…

If you watched the anime and desperate that what will happen to "Hina Tachiban" then i suggest go and read the manga it will be worth your time and also as far as i remember there is one more chapter in the manga which you have to find yourself i read it was an extra chapter i think but even after all this reading you will say why the author did not write one more chapter just one extra chapter i need. i total understand but never judge the manga on the basis of anime or other people opinion make your own opinion by reading a manga or watching a show because different people have different views so understand this first.

At a group outing, Natsuo — our ineffable protagonist — is approached by Rui, who asks him to slip away with her. She isn’t looking for affection or romantic gestures: she simply wants to have sex for the first time, and she chooses him because she believes he’s an inexperienced high‑schooler eager to learn, just like her. Once the deed is done — satisfied or not, but both no longer virgins — they go back to their own lives. Or so they think, because soon after they discover they’re about to become part of the same family: Natsuo’s father is marrying Rui’s mother, who happens to be the younger sister of Hina, Natsuo’s teacher and the woman he secretly loves. The premise is intriguing, isn’t it? The series starts with a bang, hitting the accelerator from the very first episode. The casual…

Honestly, this whole show feels like some kind of fever dream that just keeps getting more chaotic the longer it goes on. The premise is wild from the start, and instead of settling into something meaningful, it just keeps stacking drama on top of drama. At times it feels less like a structured story and more like a rollercoaster of questionable decisions and awkward situations. That said, it’s not completely terrible. There are moments where the emotions hit, and you can see what the story is trying to do with relationships, love, and complicated feelings. Some viewers might actually enjoy the messy, over-the-top drama, especially if you’re into romance that leans heavily into shock value and tension. but at the end of the day there's nothing to it and its pretty average, some scenes ma…

I loved it. It doesn't do what many romcoms unfortunately do, which is BAIT the viewer, making them wait five seasons for the characters to even kiss. Here, things HAPPEN, there are kisses, there is sex (not explicit), but things really HAPPEN, and VERY FEW ROMCOMS HAVE THAT, this is one of the few, you gotta appreciate that! It seems that this anime is very hated, even from the mangaka itself, and i don't understand why. I read something that the anime skipped a lot of things and the manga ending being really bad. It's a shame we never going to have a 2nd season Opening is fire though

I have watched many shows, I have watched many shows that were bad, I have watched many shows that were utter garbage. I, however, have never watched a show that has gotten me more upset than this dumpster fire. With every passing episode i could feel myself hating every single character in this show more and more. I never wanted to punch a protagonist as much as this walking nightmare of a human being... After watching this i turned on redo of healer and thought "damn, what a nice guy this protagonist is." Every single episode is an absolute nightmare that drags you deeper and deeper into the abyss. Every single episode you will think to yourself "this is the worst shit i have ever seen" and then you will remember that theres still way too many episodes left, that you just know will som…

story was fine, character motives were appalling, ending of the manga sucks worse than a Hoover. Only way to watch this show is to get to the bottom of the bottle with friends. watch at your own risk natsuo is a loose cannon, teacher-san is bad news, Rui hachimura is like one of the few redeemable characters. The fruity bar tender is kinda funny you will only enjoy this series if you cant remember it (please use ANY methods of inebriation to help get you there) teacher san needs to find God or something, smoke some weed more information to help filler: me and my friends made fake show called "I got reincarnated as my mom? what the hell" following a reincarnation of the MC as his own mom and he finally learns about his mom's crazy work schedule

There are only three reasons this show might be pleasing to somebody 1. They're a fan of soap operas 2. They want to want the show where the popular opening 'Kawaki wo Ameku'/'Crying For Rain' came from 3. They heard this show was bad and wanted to check it out for themselves If you're here for the third reason, Congratulations, you've made it to the right place! If not, this may not be the show for you, even if you like soap operas. In short, Domestic Girlfriend host a wide variety of poorl written characters, making the viewer think "Did they really do that?" to "That would NEVER happen in the real world?" From stupid character decisions to the absurdity of the situations they find themselves in, this show feels like a comedy that is only enjoyable to watch and laugh at with friends. If…

If i'm being honest, don't watch this. You can find the opening on youtube. The characters certainly are bullshit blazing. Male lead is a bit of a wierdo and loves his sisters yum yum. Female leads are sisters and love their brother yum yum. Not much to say here, very shallow at the end of the day. The plot... the plot... if you ignore the part where they are related you get something watchable. I do not recommend this approach, you will most likely feel like shit afterwards. The main outline of the plot is the male lead is in love with his teacher, but due to circumstances, is forced into a position where eloping would be frowned upon by society. At the end of the day, this is what it boils down to: When is it right to challenge preconcieved boundries set by society. If you already know…

As someone who appreciates a well-constructed narrative, I found "Domestic Girlfriend" to be more of a promotional piece for the manga than a fully fleshed-out anime. The story progression felt hurried, which led to a noticeable lack of in-depth character development. While there was some growth, it was executed too quickly, making it difficult to fully connect with the characters' journeys. On a more positive note, the voice actors delivered exceptional performances, effectively conveying the emotional nuances of the story. Their efforts ensured that the emotional weight was felt, particularly during the more intense scenes. "Domestic Girlfriend" does not depict a conventional romantic storyline; instead, it explores a romance born out of pain and suffering. This unique angle provides a…

This is probably going to be the only anime I ever review on this site. I am leaving this review because how utterly terrible this is as an anime. I personally don't see how a single soul could like it. I may have been slightly fine with it when I was 15, but as an adult, it is vile. The amount of awkward shots that last for 10 seconds and have no audio at all is pain inducing. The predictability of the plot is boring. There was a multitude of times where I wanted to stop watching because of the combination of the last two points, but I had to force myself to to finish it. The way the characters treat each other is absolutely insane. From what I've heard, the pacing is terrible. I can't get behind this show at all, and I enjoyed kiss x sis when I watched it (tho that was about 4 years ago)…

Overall 4/10 A forgettable title for a forgettable story. It would have been better off called "I can't choose between my two sisters". *Character design: 4/10; The MC is too tall, not necessarily too old, however, you can't say he's 16 and then make him look 27. *Music: 6/10; a half-decent selection, that was poorly implemented. *VA: 4/10; (dub) Everyone except the MC is fine, his voice screams beta-male. This happens when a VA tries to play a character who's half their age. Swing and a miss. Shingi from N.G.E. looks like a Chad, by comparison. *Cinematography: 4/10; (bad) Camera angles are too tight. You see this more in modern-day animes. I believe this to be a budget-cut strategy. "Let's save some money and animate 1/5th of the scene." In addition to the lack of proper light shadin…

pretty fun anime. semi sad ending that is continued in the manga and the author gives a conclusion where everyone is happy. only weird thing about the hate of this show is idk why people are so mad about the incest, I'd understand if they were cousins or even 50% blood related but they're completely unrelated. think if you were in love with someone for 10 years then your parents married. would you break up? my only critique of this show was that the main character was kinda shit, he randomly went for a kiss on a sleeping girl along with other unprecedented moves and is the classic afraid of women character who gets extremely shy and isn't assertive at all so women walk all over him.

When i first saw this anime, i was still an innocent wee man and.. hell, this sh*t for real traumatised me! i started to hate japanese R+ anime from that day forward. I still cant cope with that and im afraid of rewatching this anime again although im kinda interested to rewatch because a lot of people talk about this anime in particular. Now, i just watch iyashikei, CDGCT(Cute Girls Doing Cute Things) and some LGBT(GL, Genderbend, BL and so on) anime. Thanks, Domestic Girlfriend. Its basically kinda like incest.. but not because its a step siblings(its plural because.. iykyk) but.. Also, i cant remember the story and just fraction, i dont know if this feelings are real or just exaggeration but i really cant bring myself to rewatch it so i cant really tell.

This show is such a complex thing to explain as I really enjoyed the show as you can tell by the score but it definitely isn't for everyone. The shows plot just made me laugh so hard and its one of those shows that you say its so bad that its good. The scenarios that the characters were put in were so predictable as I would see something coming and the anticipation would make me anxious and when what I had predicted came true I burst out with laughter as I couldn't believe I was right in guessing the worst possible scenario. I don't know if it was written this way intentionally but it was a very fun watch and it was probably the most i had laughed at any show ever. the plot is essentially something you would get from your typical hentai but the crazy thing is that the story was writt…

This Show is absolute garbage! I had gone into this show completely blind looking for a "Wholesome Romance" to watch and had heard from a certain "someone" on a podcast that is was good so i had started it. immediately i was thrown into an incestual mess that all i could say was that i was stressing. And throughout the show it just seems to get worse. episode 7 had me completely broken and making me think about my existence and what was i even watching. i am on a streak where i am yet to drop a show so i had forced myself to complete it and it was one daunting task. if you like the feeling of post anime depression then go ahead and watch this piece. Final thoughts is just go watch JoJo's instead.

If cringe was a genre, i am sure this anime would have been the top pick. Its plot is sooooo complicated that if someone asks me to describe it in short, it would become a 300 words essay. In short, its fucked up. And if that's not enough, then go read the manga. Its even more fucked up. Even an incest hentai plot is less complicated than this anime. Its not like i absolutely hate it but its not what i expected from a romance anime. The only saving grace for it is its fireeee opening. The MC is really trying to bag two sisters, and if that's not enough, the elder one is having an affair with a married man. The ending was also pretty depressing. Its categorized under slice of life but i am pretty sure this doesn't happen in a regular slice of life anime. Hell even fantasy anime doesn't go…

Domestic na Kanojo offers a unique and somewhat unconventional take on romance that manages to captivate viewers with its compelling storyline and fantastic music. As a fan of romance anime, I found myself drawn into the tangled web of relationships and emotions depicted in this series. At its core, the anime explores the complexities of love, desire, and personal growth in a refreshingly honest manner. The characters grapple with their feelings and navigate the challenges of romance and family dynamics, creating a narrative that is both engaging and thought-provoking. One of the standout aspects of the show is its exceptional music. The soundtrack sets the mood for each scene, enhancing the emotional impact and drawing viewers deeper into the story. From poignant piano melodies to upbea…

The anime ends well and is decent, so why all the hate? Is it because of the manga? I haven't actually read it, so I can't say how it compares, but personally, I believe the anime shouldn't be judged alongside the manga, as they're different products despite sharing the same story. I enjoyed the anime; it's entertaining, and while there are moments where you might dislike certain characters and some interactions don't feel very organic, overall it's quite acceptable (especially compared to the generic trash that comes out year after year). At least it stays true to the characters' personalities. The soundtrack is good, both the external (opening and ending) and internal, fitting well with the anime and conveying what's being shown. The use of licensed songs at certain relevant moments is…

I went in to watching it thinking it was a weird, brash almost vulgar sort of a anime. just watched the first episode cause a friend just said watch one, and see, and boy was i surprised. like it's not black and white at all. but it has so much emotions and real life emotions rolled in to it. it's actually very good. and would watch season 2 if it ever comes out. the story is somewhat unique and the art style was good. very adult type artwork. and seeing the character development in some of the bland characters was quite interesting.
