Honestly, after episode 1, I thought I was just going to finish this for the sake of finishing it 😂 Like, who summons an entire class without a really strong reason just to defeat someone? The whole setup didnt really give me a solid foundation for an isekai story, so at that point I was already thinking of giving it a 6/10.
But somehow, here I am finishing the whole thing in just 3 days lol. The story sequence really started getting better as the episodes went on. The way things were revealed and how the story connected one event to another actually kept me interested. Before I knew it, I was already clicking the next episode.
The fight scenes were also much better than I expected. Some of them had that satisfying feeling when the MC finally gets to show what he can actually do. The CG…

This anime won my best action anime of 2024 and surprised me.
Failure Frame is funny. If this show had been done by A-1 Pictures, the studio behind Solo Leveling, or Madhouse, it would have easily been one of the biggest anime of the year. It wouldn't have even been close. It would've been a landslide.
But because of the ridiculous amount of CGI and the fact that they clearly went cheap with the animation, Failure Frame ended up flying under the radar and getting attacked by a lot of people. But the truth is now coming out and people are realizing how good of a show this really is.
I'm going to cover three major points quickly, because these are really the key reasons why you should watch this show and why it's slowly become somewhat of a cult classic. Over the last year or so, I've st…

There's an abundant overuse of CGI in this one but it's alright I guess.
Not quite the start that I like and has game related stuff
But the MC's struggle seems like an interesting plot line.
And it got stupidly ridiculous with the amount of levels gained.
Character development gets interesting
And it gets even more interesting, the BGM is kind of loud though.
This has a feel like Death Note because it actually gets kind of crazy halfway.
It doesn't get much exciting but there's endearing moments.
2nd season should be a finale if there will be one.
I can't wait.

I sat down and watched every episode of this gosh awful anime, laughing about how bad it was the whole way. If you want something that's awful to laugh at levels of funny (and not just pure awful), feel free to sit down and make fun of this anime with your friends. Whether it's the ugly unicorn horse's muscular back legs that rotate like wheels, the random sudden CGI just for the characters walking around, the long piece of hair that almost reaches the ground from the MC lowkey trying to copy Asuna's hairstyle without actually copying it (and failing), or the sheer ridiculousness of characters winning for the sake of plot convenience, or the gosh awful attempts at abrupt romance, there's no shortage of things to make fun of.
This is one show I would not watched subbed. The dub makes it 1…

The first episode was rough. But the thing is that it gets better each episode for the most part. Once the story is underway i was very engaged in the story and wanted to see more!
For the most part the anime consists of a pretty generic loner using low level status changing powers to solo level and do whatever he wants in the new world he was transported in. I really enjoyed the concept of using low level spells to defeat everything. And the storyline of the discarded lowest level hero rising in levels and power was awesome for me. It's so OP how he can stack effects on top of each other. It reminded me of pokemon battle system where sleep and paralysis were op, but in this anime he could stack them with poison. Crazy good!
Now, for most I assume the cgi in this will put them off. For…

Oooooo, anime, why you so good to me? Wasn't expecting much from this one. I couldn't stop watching from the first episode. It was that enjoyable. What struck me as unique is the relationship between the protagonists and their mannerisms/speech patterns in general. They react to things and converse in very human ways. Conversations in anime are often exaggerated in one way or another, whether it be a total lack of any common sense among the characters or overblown reactions when dealing with members of a preferred sex; it's so refreshing to see a show where that is almost entirely absent. The antagonists are by comparison, comically evil and usually devoid of any humanity. I think that would normally get tiresome but as it seems real world examples of these behaviors are becoming more comm…

I can't give it less than a 7 just out of respect for the author, but the animation is truly awful. How can you reduce yourself to CGI-animating a simple walk? Damn, do something about the budget if you're even vaguely thinking of giving it a second season, even though I think you'd look better if you reanimated the first one properly. I recommend everyone read the manga or the light novel. It's really well-crafted, and the monsters are well-designed. Even the level management seems to suggest that it's mainly due to how you use your abilities rather than your class, which is a very commendable thing.

Despite of the graphic and the animation and how they animated this series. This anime story really really unique, it's better than other Isekai with a revenge flavor. That the mc are naive just to kill one person and be nice at her word, this anime MC are different. If he want to kill, he will do it.
A loot of person here maybe not recommended it just because how they animate it with 2D and 3D combine. But for me I do really really enjoy it. So you will enjoy it too if you looking for a story where the MC took a revenge.
hope this got 2nd season. With this animated are fine for me. No need for upgrading it.

I'll start by saying I'm a huge fan of the source material manga and had pretty high hopes for this anime.
Story - 8/10 - I will start by saying im glad that it didn't stray away from the manga and I'm thankful for that. The beginning of the story isn't all the original but where it goes from there is where I think it sets itself apart. It's the main character receives a seemingly under powered and unnecessary ability that turns out to actually be unmatched. He has status ailment skills such as poison and paralysis that usually have a low chance of effecting the target. In the case of the MC though, they are extremely effective and sure hits. Along his journey he meets other outcasts of society and forms his own brigade.
Animation - 6.5/10 - The animation wasn't what I had hoped it woul…

I saw a latent irresistible vitality lurking in the murky depths of this show. This potential enchanted me as I drew breath of it’s oh-so familiar aroma.
A racket of criticism surrounds this show swamped primarily with remarks about bad CG or bad animation. That’s mostly incorrect and lacks context. There’s a rampant “CGphobia” amongst anime fans in general. What’s hypocritical is that Unfortunately there’s a great deal of people who will take any garbage drawings over even decent CG, it’s practically a mental illness. When you’ve watched decent CG you will understand the power if it when done right. The show however, suffers from what I call “Still-shot syndrome”. I watched the show in the absolute best definition possible and the drawn art looks stunning, the CG on the other hand is dec…

I’ve always liked anime where the main character starts off weak and slowly gets stronger, and this one fits that pretty well. That kind of progression is usually what keeps me interested. What I liked most was seeing the main character gradually improve over time. He doesn’t just start off super strong, so it actually feels like he’s working his way up instead of things just being handed to him.
The fights were also pretty fun to watch, especially how he uses different strategies instead of just brute force all the time. It keeps things from feeling repetitive. There’s also a supporting character who adds a bit more depth to the story, and I thought their interactions with the main character were pretty interesting. It helps make the story feel a bit more engaging overall.
The main chara…

Its no doubt that there is no stop of the isekai slop garbage that comes out yearly, and this could very well be considered one of them. The cgi scenes were unnecessary and they usually occurred in very lackluster scenes which provided no substance to the animation change. The plot felt familar with the usual summoned to another world to be a hero trope, however the twist to this trope they used was creative.
CHARACTERS : The designs of this anime were... unique to say the least. If you're into girls with their chest half out and fanservice then by all means this anime will be great for you. The MC lacked any sort of real design, basically your average guy that you can put yourself in. But those were the only designs that truly bugged me; personailty wise, I actually liked how the MC's ba…

think the concept of this series could be done really well. Other series with similar premises have nailed it before. This one just fell short for me.
My main issues:
The CGI
I’m not someone who automatically hates CGI in anime. When done well, it can look great and add to the experience. But here, it was rough. The models looked stiff and unnatural, and the lighting never blended right with the rest of the art. What makes it worse is how often they used it in scenes that didn’t need it at all, Like when a character is simply talking or showing emotion. It breaks immersion and looks lazy.
The main character’s abilities
They never evolve in an interesting way. We barely see any real progression or creative use of his powers. It’s the same move over and over. So much that I feel like I’ll…

I don't understand why people don't like this anime. In my opinion, this anime has an interesting story, unlike “Arifureta.” It's important to note that every anime has its own uniqueness and its own fans.
I think if you’re just an anime enthusiast, it’s better to enjoy the anime for its storyline or animation quality. If you feel it doesn’t align with your preferences, I suggest watching another anime.
We should appreciate the people who created the storyline and the people who made this anime, because in my opinion, this anime with its “isekai & superpower” theme is very interesting. It's no wonder that many anime don't get a second season just because they get low scores and bad reviews from you guys.
What makes it appealing is its animation and color composition, even using CGI tech…

About what you'd expect from a typical revenge story. Main character is deceptively overpowered, those who wronged him are irredeemably evil and he gathers a party of his own. One of the main things that makes this stand out is that the main character is more morally detached than others - but his skill set doesn't allow for a goody-two shoes kind of person anyways.
However, the villains (major and minor) are all ragebait evil brick walls. They follow the standard "attractive female character = I will do naughty things if I get my hands on you" style villainy, which makes them easy to hate and hard to remember. It's regrettable, but I guess it doesn't matter if they get washed by the main character spamming the most overpowered combo. Every fight is some variation of him waiting until he…

The Name says everything!
Animation
The animation quality is appalling to say the least. The close up during conversation is not bad, but as soon as there is the slightest pan-out occurs the quality goes down the drain and it looks like a low quality Final Fantasy animation style. Along with bulky unrefined movement from all characters and living beings the art style is also completely different.
Story
The anime lacks content. This was set-up to have the possibility to be a top ranked revenge anime, but fell short. The premise that the anime has set on is lacking depth. It is a straight line from beginning to the middle and stops. There is a second season needed to be able to complete the anime, but the first season lacked character building and needs to adjust the power s…

So, like everyone who saw this absurdly long title, I expected the worst. But from the very first episodes, I was pleasantly surprised.
First of all, the animation isn't bad at all, quite the opposite, it's pleasantly smooth. Sure, there's a lot of CGI, but if that's the compromise for good animation, I'm more than fine with it.
Then, there's the plot. The basic idea, a revenge story in an isekai setting, is nothing new. In fact, here it's applied with a terrible level of banality. But the idea that the protagonist fights only using status effect spells is something I really like. It forces him to think carefully about how to get within range to use his spells. Aside from that, after a somewhat dull start, the plot flows quite smoothly. Yes, it falls into an infinite number of clichés an…

Skip it.
Over use of very bad 3D, like I'm talking you bought a model and put a basic toon shader on it bad. Its so bad that it will distract you every time it happens. Every, single, time. And they do it a lot. Its not a stylistic suck type thing either it just sucks. Sorry to say. Which is odd because when its regularly animated it isn't bad at all. If there was a budget issue they should have at least shopped around for someone who can do better shader work cause good LORD is it bad.
Story is pretty much the usual bullied guy wants revenge type shit but the main character makes fewer idiotic decisions. The same powerfantasy type tropes are there but they honestly don't get a lot of time to use them due to how much was seemingly cut out of the story. There are a lot of jumps and skips…

I love this anime.
I love isekais where the MC is smart and makes sensible decisions with a clear ambitious goal in mind, and you know he's going to reach it because of his undying resolve.
If you are not going to like this, it' going to be because of animation or maybe you just hate isekais that are serious, then I suggest you go watch "that time I reincarnated into a vending machine".
Seriously, how do you not like this? How can you call this trash isekai? Personally, I would call trash all the mainstream high rated bullshit. Honestly, just sort animes from lowest evaluation first, because people on this site vote after watching 1 episode and deciding "this is not cool, I didn't see a naked underage girl in the first 10 minutes of the show, 3/10”.

Man, I have no idea how to rate this. The show is your typical trash isekai with cartoonishly evil characters, a revenge plot, edgy protagonist, fanservice, etc. On top of that, it has heavy use of CGI which makes some scenes look like a video game sometimes. By all intents and purposes I should have dropped it after an episode or 2.
But I kept watching, and didn't want to stop. I'm not sure if I was just starved for some power fantasy story, but it hit all the right notes. I mean, I really didn't like any part with the classmates. They had no personalities, and were very boring to watch. That was a small part though. The main character was a lot of fun to watch. Yeah, they are some edgy protagonist that constantly tells us he's not a good guy, but I couldn't always predict how things wou…
