Skeleton Knight in Another World

Skeleton Knight in Another World

Introduction

After falling asleep while playing an online game, a man wakes up and finds himself transported to that game's world as his in-game character, Arc. He wastes no time adjusting to his new environment, but soon realizes that he is using the skeleton avatar he chose when creating his character, which forces him to hide his visage to avoid unwanted attention. Arc goes to the nearby castle town of Luvierte, hoping to become an adventurer and take on quests to earn money. With his overpowered abilities, Arc embarks on a fantastical journey—exploring diverse territories, looting various monsters, and helping people get out of sticky situations. However, his seemingly innocuous actions may soon involve him in a brewing large-scale conflict that will forever alter the fate of the realm. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

In short, if you have ever played an RPG and imagined yourself being transported into that world as your overpowered character, Skeleton Knight in Another World might scratch that itch. Beyond that, however, it is mostly another familiar isekai. The anime has almost everything you would expect from the genre: an overpowered protagonist, a beautiful companion, comedy, fantasy races, villains, adventuring, and a very loose objective. Instead of feeling like a story constantly moving toward an important goal, it often feels more like “just enjoy the adventure.” One important warning: the anime contains sexual assault scenes, particularly early on. If that kind of content is a trigger for you, this may be better avoided. Art: 5/10 The visuals are fairly average. Arc himself is an interesting…

Though this gets compared to Overlord, I can't for the life of me figure out why other than the MC being a skeleton in his new body. He is overpowered, but also doesn't have a clue about how the game he plays works such as guilds and other races relationship with one another. He's doesn't have some crazy goal of conquering all the nations in an especially evil manner. It's better to think of his character as a paladin knight that happens to have a skeleton avatar instead of an lich King or undead sorcerer. He mostly just wants to quest for gold and riches but gets swept up in a political conflict between race nations because of his good nature. I found it to be a good watch and the world building interesting. There is one thing I'm not a fan of and it's attempted rape that only happens in…

TL;DR This is comfort food isekai. Everything about the synopsis screams generic Isekai and yet it's one of the shows that just ended up shining through. Likable lead, one strong heroine carrying a lot of the emotional weight, fun dumb power fantasy energy. It's not gonna convert anyone who already hates this genre and I don't think it should have to, but if you're already into the Overlord-adjacent power fantasy stuff and you can tolerate (or fast forward through) the rougher moments like in EP 1, there's a genuinely sweet, fun show buried in here. Sasuga Momon-san... No, Skelebro! First off let's talk about the skeleton in the clos- I mean the Overlord thing first because there is no way around it. Skeleton guy, absurdly OP, hides his face, gets mistaken for something way scarier than…

First thing to say is, this has to be one of the single worst adaptions I've personally ever watched, so if you have read the light novel, avoid at all costs and just continue reading, alternatively if you have watched this already I heavily suggest starting the light novel from the beginning as they cut and change far to much just from the first volume alone. The changes made make the pacing of this series far to quick, they also butcher how the main character actually acts in the original source. Secondly, how almost all characters act is completely different from how they should act based off of the original source, I couldn't even bring myself to enjoy hate watching this after I realised how much had changed within, and I'm not joking, the first 2 minutes. Avoid at all costs, a very…

This might be one of best Isekai Anime I watched. Hear me out. Many people might have problem with Overpowered mc but Our Mc might be powerful but not undefeatable. You can see him struggle. Well at the end it depends on you. But remember it's very mature story. IT has dark elements a lot. The story is top notch too. It's not for kids. It's mature story. There are dark moments but comedy is too. Everything in the story felt perfectly handled. Comedy, serious moments, sad moments, action and brutality and others you can call. There are fan service moments too. As for animation, the animation is overall fine. There are few scenes where CGI is used, listen carefully, few scenes. But it's used in small scenes, the main fights are properly animated.I think you can overlook this. Overall ever…

Do you like: Big boobied boob babes breasting boobily? Sexual assault? Saving slaves? Saving slaves? What about saving slaves? But how about saving the slaves though? SAVING SLAVES? Random violence? Eating food at taverns and inns? Ending racism dozens of times and still finding time to solve sexism? "Maybe we can get along after all... heh.."? Big booby booty babes thirsting after a skeleton? OP nonsense that doesn't ever matter? Well then this is the show for you. I'll be clear, I like OP isekai. I like the idea of someone being godlike and using immense power to make the world a better place. It's just that authors who typically write these kinds of stories don't really know how the world works most of the time. They just kinda make it spectacle and just free some slaves and…

Skeleton Knight in Another World The anime felt so similar to " Overlord " in the first episode as the MC is litrally a SKELETON and we all know the great " Lord Ainz " . WELL NOW TO THE REVIEW : The anime is great the story telling the plot everything sets right somehow evern tho there are multiple mini arcs in the show nothing feels clumsy and the relationship between Arc and Ariane is too good to watch the anime , also Arc being an Otaku while naratting things is so fun to watch. As the Season 2 is set to air on July 2026, I'm eagerly waiting to watch more of Arc and Ariane !

TW: sxsual assault and few disturbing scene The story is not that heavy, it's klisé just like the usual isekai anime we used to enjoy. I personally love it because there's no harem plot with annoying pick-me girl fighting over MC. There's no get-slipped-and -accidentally-grab-random-girl-tits type of plot. MC even find a main plot for himself in the middle of his journey: to find a way curing his body. I think it's nice since many of isekai stories don't have main plot, just wandering around collecting new harem. It's a solid 7 out of 10 from me: it's good to enjoy.

Here's more or less an old review I posted at time of watching this. It's pretty underwhelming. There's not significant spoilers only a mention of which themes are explored and how they could have done it better. 5/10 It can be funny but that's about it. Any seriousness is quickly ruined for me by simply bad writing. The weird PS2 graphics 3D animations are kinda weird. It's obviously not the worst show ever but Average 5/10 or at best 6/10 seems justified. Not sure how the hell this has an 8.54/10 over here. Even 7/10 MAL seems high. Bonus points for some of the music and soundtracks I guess those were pretty neat. The MC himself is also fun enough so there's that without that I'd have not even come back to the show after leaving for a while due to simply bad writing being painful. The e…

This is a pretty good isekai anime, but unfortunately the story is half-hearted and the MC is bad, this anime actually has the potential to be as good as Overlord, it's just that this stupid MC prefers to hide his power, MC has a tremendous overpower power but can't maximize/use it (reminds me of veldora tensura, only using muscle without brain, losing a sword duel against elf mom), if this anime story was made a little more serious maybe it could be equal to overlord, especially in terms of world building, from the beginning of the episode the story is only limited to doing small missions, and freeing slaves, after that, well that's it. even after saving the princess, he then disappears, very unsatisfying, one interesting thing about this anime is only the elf heroin, that's all, and inde…

In this show, we have a "Junk food" isekai that is mildly amusing at times but quite forgettable overall. There isn't really anything special that this show brings to the table. It's a classic overpowered-but-not-human isekai a la Overlord with some clear inspirations from both Overlord and FMA:Brotherhood. The animation is not particularly great (not super bad, but it noticeably avoids any action with a lot of movement), the plot is neither novel nor memorable, and the show opens with an unsavory and wholly unnecessary scene of sexual violence, but this show can be something to watch when you just want to turn your brain off or when you've run out of better anime to watch.

Well.... It had some potential, that much i can give this show credit for... But that was about it. Not only is it generic .... But it's also a carrier of the "OP never lose MC" trope. Honestly there isn't something i dislike more..... This trope removes any sort of tension you'd feel in any supposed dangerous situation presented in the show. Generic isekai's can be forgiven . Boring predictable plots cannot. It was all about releasing slaves and all.... The obssesive focus on that topic ... made the whole story stale . Also, i really wish they'd use that R-17 rating for some actual fanservice rather then use it only for the sensitive topics. And another issue i'd have is they used the elves out of all the fantastical species ... When the only difference between them and humans are the poi…

You know what, I was really surprised when I read the reviews of the hate this anime adaption receives. This is the second time I have seen people complain about animes with similar characters. I wish people would put aside similar animes and just watch a show for what it is. It may have similarities with other titles, but it should just be enjoyed in it's own right. The art style was good as well as the fluidity of the combat scenes. It was funny & ott with some hilarious scenes. The fact they put Ponta in sealed the deal. It was a good fantasy isekai. Episode 1 however wasn't for me , due to inappropriate sexual references to rape. It's a shame we've been left with more questions than answers, as there seems to be little hope for a season 2. I want to see Arc break the curse…

Yet another isekai anime with little twist to make it feel new concept. Personally I like isekai and reincarnation genre so i dont mind. In anime we follow story of Arc who is reincarnated into game world as his game Avatar. As far as protagonist go arc is very laid back and kind person. He is always up for learning something new about the world he is put in and also makes an efferts to understand other people. And yes i almost forgot to mention but he is skeleton which has big white armour. And he is very OP. Other main lead is spirit animal called Ponta. Which only trusts people with good intentions. Female lead is Ariane, an elf warrior lady who is on quest to free her brotherin from cluches of Humans who captures other beast races and sell them as slaves. The journey of arc and ari…

I loved the light-hearted and spontaneous nature of this anime. It wasn't very complicated or completly original but it was easy to watch. Yes the main character is OP but he wasn't a scheming arrogant douche. His reasons for holding back make sense. The battles aren't long winded and over-dramatized. The cliches were kept to a minimum. No exessively cute and numerous girls, and no pompous royalty and discrimination. andi don't think there is too much else that needs to be said but the stupid website wants me to writing a freaking article about this but i don't know why and find it to be completley unnecessary.

Just watched this, I am giving it a 6/10. The first episode was amazing, a 100/10. After that it kind of became repetitive and boring to watch. Arc is a great MC and I love the way he addresses the audience. The characters were good but nothing super special, no one really stood out to me, even Arc. Although shoutout Carcy, even though he was barely on the screen he was cool as hell. I do love the fantasy setting and I must add there were some very good sound effects. Ending was good, ended exactly how I wanted it to. Probably wouldn't rewatch but I would recommend. It is a good isekai, and I feel happy with the 12 episodes, didn't feel it needed anymore.

tl;dr: An anime with a really fun pair of main characters that are easy to root for, but with not enough going on beyond that. This anime is about Arc, a guy that suddenly wakes up as an overpowered version of his MMO avatar. Yes, it’s not enough to just wake up as a powerful MMO character, but rather he wakes up with skills beyond what his MMO avatar was cable of. The catch is that his MMO avatar was a skeleton, which humans generally consider enemies. He wears full plate armor that covers everything so it’s not that hard to hide this, but the threat of discovery continues to exist. As such, he plans to live a quiet inconspicuous life despite how powerful he is. However, when he encounters an elf named Ariane he finds a cause worthy of standing out, freeing her enslaved brethren. For th…

Your typical isekai. Gamer gets teleported to video game world. He becomes his game avatar and inherits its powerful abilities. Its nothing special, but I still found it entertaining. The main character is a skeleton in large shining armor. He encounters an elf girl and helps her in freeing her captured kin. At the same time he’s trying to break the supposedly undead-curse his avatar has. Typically these isekai main characters are over powered. But they tried to change it up just a tiny bit. He is overpowered but not fully skilled. Meaning he does need to train. The story is not particularly deep or complex. But I wouldnt call it shallow either. There is a side plot involving the politics of some kingdom, aswell as siblicide. There is a lot of focus on female abuse. Attempted rape. T…

To fans of the isekai power-fantasy genre, Skeleton Knight will be an enjoyable 4 hours. Many call it a simple Overlord copy, and the reasons are not difficult to see. I had a hard time distinguishing the protagonist, Arc, from Ainz. That said, I feel a more apt description would be as a hybrid between Overlord and How Not to Summon a Demon Lord. There is perhaps a warning to be given about the portrayal of attempted sexual violence. The show literally opens with one of the most explicit and real-feeling scenes of attempted rape I've ever seen in a modern TV production. That being said, that felt like mostly shock value, because the rest of the show is relatively tame. There is other dark content in the show and disturbing themes do get explored, but nothing that will make your skin crawl…
