This anime was very different than expected. I wanted a funny rom-com and obviously expected some harem elements if not the straight up echii that is delivered, but it also has a main character that just wants someone to love him for him. This creates a believable reason for the main character to turn away from all the girls throwing themselves at him, as he is looking for pure love, and each girl that likes him has a warped character trait that makes their affection less genuine in his eyes. This set-up kept me from mentally posting the "pass the controller" meme as you might normally do whenever a main character rejects the physical advances of an attractive girl. As he gets to know each girl, he deconstructs his idea of what love is as he learns to appreciate the ways a particular girl…

It is my first review: I have no words to express how much fondness this anime holds for me. I watched it about a year ago, and Sayuki is still my number one anime girl. I traumatized all my friends into watching this masterpiece, and we all agree on one thing: it's absolutely hilarious. Seriously, a harem of masochists and fetishists of all kinds—isn't that pure bliss? Each character, especially the female ones, is unique. You won't find these atypical characters anywhere else, and it's so funny... Thanks to this lighthearted romance, you can clear your mind and start fresh. It puts you in a great mood. Plus, the animation is perfect—cute and well-crafted. The opening and ending themes are fantastic. The humor (which you have to appreciate) in this anime is truly heartwarming, and I would…

This anime has alot of modern slang used throughout it. There is about as much substance of a cheese sandwich and the twist at the end can be easily guessed by anyone who watches anime in this similar genre. What good is there to say?
Well, a bit. Personally, I liked the character designs. Yes that is alot like saying "I enjoy the sun", but still they are very cute and unique for the most part. Each girl can be identified and each has something that'll make you remember them. Outside of that, the score isn't too bad. Good when it needs to be and there when you expect it.
Is there anything bad? If you aren't into blackmail, slave, or petplay might wanna avoid this. The last couple episodes play into a divided area of anime fans so without spoiling it kindly look past this if you are oppo…

A decent anime with gorgeous artwork but a predictable story.
I picked up this anime solely based on the promotional poster's artwork, and I have to say that it really is a pretty show. The sheer amount of colors is like candy for the eyes. However, you can tell that the art may have been a bit more than they could work with, as you can see some glaring animation faults throughout the series, some to the point where it became too cringy to watch at points. While it's an ecchi anime, I would say it's more on the tamer side than some others out there. Probably still don't watch it around someone that isn't into that kind of thing, but it's nowhere near the levels of many others.
The story starts with an interesting premise and keeps you gripped sometimes to see just who "pantyrella" real…

Keiki (Cakey) Kiryuu wants a girlfriend. He moans and whines to himself about how badly he wants a girlfriend.
One day he finds a love letter addressed to him with a pair of panties attached.
The culprits are narrowed down to 4 girls (including his younger sister). He crosses his sister off the list because there is no way it could possibly be her...yep the twist is obvious.
The three girls initially come off as being very normal highschool girls. But turns out they have very kinky fetishes.
Keiki is a strange character. He finally gets what he wants, he has these girls who are into him, but goes running scared just because they are a little bit kinky. And the fetishes aren't even that weird at all.
Its like "oh no this girl wants to spank me, oh no this girl wants me to spank her, oh n…

Hensuki: A Hilarious Subversion of Expectations
In the vast realm of anime, where tropes and clichés often dominate the landscape, Hensuki: Are you willing to Fall in Love with a Pervert, as long as she's a Cutie? emerges as a refreshing and uproarious subversion of the typical harem anime formula. With its endearing characters, unexpected plot twists, and top-notch animation, Hensuki is a must-watch for anime enthusiasts seeking a lighthearted and comedic escape.

This is a very simple anime. So, the review shall be simple too.
Story:
This is kinda like a dating sim. MC receives an anonymous love letter and he's trying to find the girl who wrote him that letter. There's a total of 5 girls (or quests?) in the harem where each girl has a different fetish. The whole story revolves around the weird fetishes and finding out the mystery confession girl. Focus on one girl at a time, develop the character somewhat and move on to the next quest/girl. repeat 5 times.
This anime is basically
40% fanservice -> significant amount of underwear shots + fetish stuff. basically girls fighting over the most boring MC.
40% comedy -> its not super hilarious, but its fine for a harem ecchi anime.
10% drama -> This is honestly my favorite part. they don't spend much…

Have you ever dreamed of getting a very cute girlfriend? but you can't do it because everyone seems like too perverse for you? then alas this anime is kinda just like you!
Jokes aside. This anime almost sucks for me, but the mystery plot is what I like the most, solving it by getting with other girls but it's just thru pervert acts, it's like watching hentai stuff but no sex involves, it's okay, ecchi animes is known for buzzkill scenes. If you want to watch this anime because it's just ecchi go ahead but if you want with interesting "thicc" plot action, nope your gonna be disappointed so go now and just watch erotica anime if you want to watch 18+ action.
Lot of things is very undesirable especially the characters, all of them for me is forgettable and no redeeming quality.
The art…

I really did enjoy this. It was very cute and not really sexual, crass, or 'fan servicey' so much. IT was a kind of honest exploration into what people are like and was often very funny. If you have kinks this will probably pay off more and be funny for you. It was for me anyway.
I watched the dub. It was pretty great. a lot of it was very funny. Particularly the insults from konojo (i think that was her name) to the other girl... I can't imagine what these would have been in the original sub.
story as very base at times. but style and idea or concept was top notch i thought.
art is okay. there arent many characters. this is basically doki doki literature clu the anime show.

Kawaikereba Hentai demo Suki ni Natte Kuremasu ka? or Is it wrong to fall in love with a pervert as long as she is a cutie is 2019 harem seasonal show.
Here is my thoughts on the show. As i have seen many harems across my years of watching harems there are many few that stand out to me like Hensuki did. It has a very similar story to all other harem animes like school boy wants a girlfriend so he receives a love letter and etc. But it is the first harem anime to use Fetish based troupes for each of the girls. Now normally that would be weird but the comedy of the main Character Kiryuu, Keiki is soo good that its funny as hell . Not to mention that the Dub version is 10x better imo as the dub voice actor nails the emotions of the character .
To summarize my review i think Hensuki was a v…

I would start off by saying that this series really *pulled my chains* - okay, do I have your attention now? Great.
Let me tell you why you may find this anime fair- or even good! (Or why you will absolutely hate it.)
Hensuke is an anime that explores how our (rather vanilla) main character deals with the fact that all of his potential love interests are actually is lil' bit freaky; some of them enjoying BDSM - pet play, faux incest or body odours. A little odd, but sounds hillarious - right?
First of all, you probably won't enjoy a series like this if you are not willing to at least tolerate some of the niche kinks mentioned above. When I watched it, I went in blind, expecting something vastly different. Was I disappointed? -Yes, but that would not be for the reasons you may imagine.…

tl;dr: A rom-com lacking in romance but solid in terms of having comedy centered around perverted heroines of different types.
Hensuki is an anime about a high school student named Kiryuu Keiki that wants to find a girlfriend for a normal wholesome relationship, but it turns out that all the girls interested in him are massive perverts. This all starts when he finds a love letter addressed to him, though with no information on whom it’s from. The only hint he has is that a pair of panties had been left with the letter, and thus Keiki’s friend dubs the mysterious love letter sender Cinderella, though with panties instead of a glass slipper.
The anime’s plot is centered around him trying to figure out who the letter is from. This is an adaptation of a light novel series that goes well beyo…

I want to preface this review with two things, one this is my first review and two I have nothing against the harem/ecchi subgenres (I actually have a bit of a soft-spot for this genre in all honesty but in my view that means I ought not spare the shows that do the subgenre dirty). Those prefaces out of the way on to the review. This show was honestly painful to watch for me as the story basically devolved into 'which fetish is the male lead least freaked out by?'. Kiryuu Keiki is basically a blank slate as a protagonist anyways with almost no character traits that the viewer will be able to remember two days after finishing the series. The lack of characterization is a problem for the female characters as well with all of the main girls losing their original personality once their fetish…

This show was pretty dog water. I mean it was cute in some senses, but the whole big reveal was somewhat predictable, especially by like episode 6 and it just didn't sit right for many ethical reasons. The show's comedy is mainly in the absurdity of the situations that Keiki is put in along with his deadpan demeanor towards it all. It works sometimes, and in the dub, I rather like his characterization, but there are so many forgettable episodes. Some characters just disappear and come back in the finale just because the animators wanted a satisfying recapitulation. It wasn't satisfying. The show is based off a gimmick and it barely keeps it afloat for 12 episodes. I only remember Nanjo's name because she looks like Uzume Tennouboshi from Megadimension Neptunia VII. The characters kinda suc…

Most school harem anime tend to have the same characters and storyline developments. Not Hensuki. This show takes the genre and turns it on its head. It tosses in the twist that each of the girls pursuing the main character has a secret fetish. This likely turned a lot of people off, but I actually thought that made the show stand out from the crowd.
Many shows attempt to use a fetish as a gimmick to get a laugh or two and then get back to the standard fan-service. But Hensuki normalizes these fetishes, and uses them as the main plot device. This creates characters that feel decidedly more human than most other characters in this genre.
The jokes didn't always hit, and sometimes they wore some of them out, but the big jokes almost always landed. It was much funnier than most harems, tho…

I generally dont write MAL reviews - because i dont consider myself an anime critic, more of an enjoyer.
It's hard for me to truly hate an anime, as slow, as boring as it may be - as long as i see a redeeming quality in it, i'm satisfied.
But this is the only anime i've yet to watch that truly just made me want to puke.
It starts off well with Sayuki and Yuika, revealing their true love to the MC, is actually just one of their weird fetishes - but it ends up being extremely repetitive; introduce a new girl, the MC dates her, she's got a fetish, and you'll never see that girl again; maaaybe in a wholesome scene around the end of the series, but that's it.
It starts off being inoffensive, (it sounds weird to call this inoffensive...) bondage and dog play, but it ends up just being creepy w…

This was an interesting watch. It is very different from many other animes in this genre.
The story was an interesting one, but it was also uncomfortable (which is to be expected for this type of anime). The Cinderella concept was very unique, and had a rather funny spin to it. Seeing the MC slowly go through each girl presented, and accidentally finding out their dark sides on the way is a nice twist.
The characters are all unique in their own way, and the animation compliment them well. There we're some scenes that felt uncomfortable, but that's because they were things I'm not into. There were so many twists that were very unexpected.
The animation is what you'd expect from your average anime. Everything is pretty average, from the environments to the character movements. There were…

Normally I dock the ecchi/harem genre because one can see what going to happen from a mile away and honestly most of the time people are just there for the fanservice and not the spineless harem protagonist but Hensuki does manage to differentiate itself by not dancing around anything plus the English dub is so Fantastic that it managed to salvage my time spent on this show which is otherwise still pretty mid.
the MC is trying to find the girl who left him a love letter and in the course of that investigation finds that all the girls have some sort of sexual kink. It is pretty fun most of the time and I do think it's a huge step in an otherwise very reserved Japanese society.
A fun watch all around, Watch it dubbed if you can as it's fantastic

Hensuki was an enjoyable watch, nothing too unbearable to sit through but nothing that really stands out. It plays on it's strengths pretty well, though its weaknesses can really cripple it from performing its best.
I'll be focusing more on Hensuki's way of telling the story it wants to, so I will not be mentioning any details important to the story.
One of its most powerful strengths is the premise of the show, having a taboo subject being the core of the anime really intrigued me. It would allow for the story to unfold in a lighthearted manner while using ecchi and romance to move the plot along and hook me in so I would care enough to want to know more about the characters and root for their possible relationship. Or the anime could've taken a more serious tone and used the ecchi and…
