I’ve finished watching the anime and i genuinely cried during the last episode (╥﹏╥). I really loved seeing Bocchi’s growth as she faced her social anxiety and slowly learned how to open herself up to others. Watching her struggle, try her best, and eventually manage to make so many kind and understanding friends felt really meaningful
Bocchi is just so adorable ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂)⸝♡ and her interactions with her friends were super entertaining >< I laughed so much in every episode!!! Even during the awkward or chaotic moments everything felt so relatable and heartwarming at the same time
I genuinely enjoyed watching this anime and it honestly made me feel comforted and happy in a very gentle way. It reminds you that its okay to take things at your own pace and that you dont have to be perfect to…

Just a quick and simple review on the simple show Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu or Hitori Bocchi's Life.
This anime is another that fits with the motto "Simple but effective." or "Keep it simple but do it well." it stars our very awkward (and possibly autistic seeming) main character Hitori Bocchi's Life. It's a show that's very focused on slice of life, specifically on Bocchi's life, with entertaining writing and a very enjoyable main character and cast. It doesn't have a big story with a complex main plot, nor high stakes, but what it does have is good characters, entertaining writing, and of course is filled to the brim with enjoyment for the viewer. The biggest flaw with the show is one generally associated with it's genre, the lack of a large or grand story with a interesting or…

Loved watching this anime. It was fun to watch this. This is a very relaxing anime.
The art for this anime is very good, especially the characters. They are made to look super adorable. I liked how cute each character is especially the main character Hitori Bocchi. Each character has a unique personality which makes this anime quite amusing.
The voice actors did an amazing job, each character's voices suit them quite well.
This anime shows how an introvert lonely person faces difficulty communicating with people and how good, kind and understanding friends can help overcome such challenges and help them grow socially. It also shows how different people have different troubles in their lives and how helping one another can help overcome such troubles.

This was a cute "cute girls doing cute things" anime. There's nothing wrong with it. The OP was pretty good, the animation was decent, all the girls are cute, there's plenty of humor, just enough unrealism... there's nothing I can really criticize this anime for too much.
There's also not a whole lot that makes it stand out.
Hitori Bocchi, an unrealistically named just-entering-middle-school girl with extreme social anxiety, is given a challenge by a friend - make friends with all of your classmates or I can't be your friend. So, wanting to get her friend back, she starts the "process" of making friends with everyone in her classroom, to varying success.
At points, this anime is cute, at times heartrending, at times beautiful, at times funny, at times cringey. It really does tick off al…

I am simply delighted with this anime!
Extremely fun, enjoyable, and great for moments when you just want to relax...
I loved Bocchi's character; honestly, I have a tendency to connect with "shy" and "socially challenged" characters, so seeing Bocchi "almost" overcome her challenges and successfully make new friends made me very happy.
The way Bocchi is funny, shy, and extremely innocent is phenomenal, not to mention the character's voice actor who did an excellent job dubbing her.
There's not much to say about this anime adapted from a 4-koma, a story about a lonely girl struggling to make friends in a new school with the goal of becoming friends with all her classmates.
Could anything be better than this?
This anime provided me with numerous laughs and a lot of happiness.

First of all, Kai is a piece of shit. No actual friend would do that to you. The main character should have ditched her. She is a not a good friend at all.
Second. I hate the fact the main character goes through with it and tries to make friends with this reason. I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who would only be my friend because she needs to make friends.
The comedy was horrible, I did not laugh ones and I just find the characters very unfortunate. The jokes were unfortunate and unfortunately it was repeated too much to make it even slightly entertaining. Unfortunately I had to watch it to the end because it was for my anime club.
The characters were annoying too watch. The character I hated the most were the main character because her whole personality was based around the…

Name: Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu (S1)
🟢 Genre: Comedy / Life stories
🟢 Token: C2C - 12 Episodes - 2019
🟢 Synopsis: Bocchi is a girl who suffers from a kind of social phobia, yet decides to take on the challenge of being friends with all her new high school classmates.
🟢 Opinion: Initially I expected it to be the funniest series of all, and although it is not, it has its strong points, mainly centred on the sympathy and tenderness of Bocchi and her classmates. It's impossible not to get attached to them.
Recommended: Funny and tender, for the whole family. 🟢 Continuity: there is talk of an S2, but no official confirmation yet.

A very cute anime with both comedic and serious tones(tho mostly comedic honestly).
While the show portraits of a real life problem many people have, it's not really shown in the most realistic way, it mostly appears more goofy than anything else; So I wouldn't take this anime too seriously when it comes to that specific issue.
The characters aside the main one aren't really overly complex when it comes to personality and traits in general, but I suppose that's ok considered that show is literally named after the main character, which is also the focus of the "Action" 90% of the time.
This anime is more enjoyable for the moe / cute relaxing aspect, there isn't much more and that's fine with me.

I went into this show with pretty decent expectations as I read reviews saying it was good.
Starting off with the premise, it was decent, you know the shy, socially awkward girl trying to make friends so she can change for the better. But the fact that her friend Kai de-friends her for the sake of her making friends is kind of iffy for me.
But Bocchi as a character was someone that frustrated me more than I could even empathize with her. Like I can look past her being very shy and bad in social situations, but at the same time, she's pretty dumb and naive too. I don't understand how a main character can be both shy/socially awkward and dumb/naive at the same time, its just a recipe for disaster in my personal opinion. Bocchi was just a poorly written character. What also triggered me was…

This show was a rather pleasant one, with a pretty simplistic plot and funny moments.
Nothing to make it worth remembering in a year, nor to say that it was a waste of time.
The art is very cute, the way they chose to animate the expressions was fitting making it overall pleasant to the eye.
The characters are named after their flaws which is rather funny (mostly because it’s not pointed out constantly during the show). These flaws-gags are a big part of the characters but in a way that manages to stay funny& not too repetitive. So, they end up likable and cute. Don’t expect any crazy character depth though.
Something that it managed to do well is to portray the extreme social anxiety of the main character in a way that is more comedic and less "realistic", which was something I was worri…

The plot is pretty straightforward and simple that there's not much explanation needed. Simply put, a girl who's a introvert and only ever have one friend, that one friend told her she needed to befriend her classmate if they are to be friends again. And there you have it, she goes through the whole season just trying to make friends.
If you don't love Bocchi by like the first 3 episode, you won't really enjoy this show at all. Either you find her annoying or cute, that's how you will feel about this show. As I stated above, the plot isn't anything special. It is all about the characters and how you feel about them. I personally love them all and it's easy to love Nako, because she's the most level headed person.
There's nothing too special or crazy with the plot or amazing character g…

What can i say, it's one of those anime that you can re-watch every few years and take great joy in it, because of its episodic nature and lack of a serious main plot. The characters are great and the humor is fitting for such a "cutesy" series!
The voice actresses all did a phenomenal job, and as a piece of interesting trivia, there are no male characters in the whole anime.
Hitoribocchi does suffer from a somewhat ambiguous ending, giving the impression that a 2nd season or at least a few OVA episodes were pretty necessary, but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet, and probably never will, but i like to think that they all went on to have a lot of fun in their remaining school life!

The only thing that pissed me off in the entire series is Bocchi herself and also Kai-chan. Every episode Bocchi is gonna cry like a baby (I know because that's part of her personality for being overwhelmingly anxious.) and it pisses me off even a slightest mistake that she did she's gonna cry. Now, I'm gonna explain why I didn't like Kai-chan from the start of this anime.
Kai gaslighted Bocchi. She told Bocchi that she will end their friendship because Bocchi should befriend all of her classmates in her new school because Kai and Bocchi are gonna be in separate schools and if Bocchi succesfully did that Kai will go back to Bocchi and resume their friendship. Kai is aware of Bocchi's emotional and psychological state that's why she did that.
On the positive side of my review, I only en…

Man, i certainly wasnt expecting to get hooked by a wholesome cute girls do cute things series.
That aside Bocchi is one of the most wholesome main characters i have ever come across.
Even though i wasnt sold on the first episode something about its charm kept me going andf my goodness i ended up falling in love with the series. The character development and hurdles that she overcomes are not only tangible but also you see her progression very nicely from episode to episode and see how it affects her and her friends when she slips back down.
overall its a very wholesome series and im loving it! Its got a wonderful silly humour to it as well.
The OP is criminally upbeat and catchy.
would recommend 8/10 for wholesome! I can only hope they do a crossover with Komi next time

Another meme done.
Getting friends. It has always been hard the more of an introvert you are. Sticking like crazy inside your comfort zone will never bring you anywhere and you will never be able to become a better functional person of society. But what if somebody pushes you out of your comfort zone?
Hitoribocchi is a story about an extremely shy, introverted girl with no friends ( except from one ). She decided to get some friends after transferring into another school but her shyness keeps her from doing so. As a result, her only friend pushes her away and strikes a deal - "I will never be your friend again until you befriend your entire class", and thus begins the CGDCT story of Hitoribocchi.
I've always hated CGDCT. However, my hate does not target CGDCT in general but only speci…

There are many cute, comedic Slice Of Life shows, and while I enjoy them for their pleasant light-hearted nature, there always seems to be something I find irritating, be it an obnoxious character, meandering dialogue, or the seemingly inescapable trend of Moe.
So given that the cuteness saturation is near critical in Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, I did not expect much. I mean, even the teacher gets the full Kawaii treatment, both in visual design AND behaviour.
So I was very surprised how much I enjoyed the show, and how little I found tedious.
Yes, the characters all are excessively cute, but in an innocent endearing way, staying well clear of Moe territory. They even managed the obligatory swimming pool episode without being creepy about it.
And yes the story is not very deep o…

Bocchi Hitori is a girl who suffers from social anxiety, making it hard for her to talk to others. Upon entering middle school, her only friend Kai Yawara, who is attending a different school, tells Bocchi she is breaking off their friendship until she can make friends with her entire class. Thus, Bocchi is left with the task of befriending everyone in her class before graduation.
Hitoribocchi falls under that category of anime which have technically nothing special but somehow catch you and make you like it.
Its a CGDCT anime and does exactly that. Not on a level of K-on but very solid. The anime does not have a big subplot except that the girls centered around Bocchi Hitori try to help her with her social anxiety and making friends.
There is already not much more to tell you. If you l…

Not all people can enjoy a story with rather simple premise. Not all people can find joy from CGDCT shows. Perspective is vital in reviewing any form of stories. Trying to put yourself in someone else's shoes is one way to truly comprehend a story, but when you actually have been through similar things, the story hits differently, and it makes your sense of enjoyment of the story to a much more higher level. Rather it be movies, animes, novels or anything, and this show fit in my shoes perfectly. Hitoribocchi may seems like another lame moe anime show about a girl with social anxiety. But as i finished this series, i find it to have much more substance than "cute girls doing cute things".4-koma shows are something that i consume regularly but doesn't really have that much to talk about, sinc…

tl dr; A 7th grade student on a grand mission to become friends with everyone in her class, so cute lol
Ahh, I really missed the casual day-to-day vibes without any big "the world is in grave danger", "the neighboring country is invading", or even "my boyfriend is the hottest guy in school" drama. If I had to compare its vibes to another anime, I would say that K-On! and Kiniro mosaic have the closest feel to it.
Having a 12/13 year old character as the main character is such a "breath of fresh air" on the side of all the 16-year-old first year high school students in animes that takes place in schools. And as the audience, you can't help but wish for the best for the MC who regularly shows signs of anxiety in talking to anyone that she doesn't know well.
The humor isn't the "make you…

OKEY
Bochi is funny also cute and I don't find her that annoying ,but there is something about the anime that it makes it so annoying and lame .And it is the story ,it is very slow and boring .
The characters are not at all annoying (recently i've been watching animes in which even the MCs piss me off) ,they are all beautifully developed and portrayed
If you have no other anime to watch or have been thinking it watch it for a long time(like me) then it is fine ,if not i recommend you to not to watch this ,rather spend time to watch any worthy anime
But the show is a bit cute, can be your mood lightener/lifter if you live a lonely and sad life (like me😭)
