Hinamatsuri

Introduction

While reveling in the successful clinching of a prized vase for his collection, Yoshifumi Nitta, a yakuza member, is rudely interrupted when a large, peculiar capsule suddenly materializes and falls on his head. He opens the capsule to reveal a young, blue-haired girl, who doesn't divulge anything about herself but her name—Hina—and the fact that she possesses immense powers. As if things couldn't get any worse, she loses control and unleashes an explosion if her powers remain unused. Faced with no other choice, Nitta finds himself becoming her caregiver. To let her use her powers freely, Nitta asks Hina to help out with a construction deal, which goes smoothly. But while this is happening, a rival yakuza group covertly attacks his boss. To Nitta's shock, his colleagues later pin the blame on him! Tasked with attacking the rival group in retaliation, Nitta steels himself and arrives at their hideout. But suddenly, Hina unexpectedly steps in and helps him wipe out the entire group. As it turns out, Hina might just become a valuable asset to Nitta and his yakuza business, provided she does not use her powers on him first! And so the strange life of this unusual duo begins. Good anime. It was funny. The main point here is comedy. Characters are interesting. Focus is more on quality than quantity. So don't expect non-stop laughs, there's a lot of slice of life here as well, but it's so easy to watch and very enjoyable. Whenever the laughs do come, they are for the most part very good. I had a few good laughs every episode. Don't usually watch comedy anime, actually the only comedy anime I remember watching was FMP Fumoffu, which was hilarious. This one is also very funny, but again note that the laughs are not that many. Also it does end in the middle of nowhere, and even though it is mostly slice of life and a string of not too related events, there is a story here and I would have liked to see the end of it. But since it's not really that important, as the…

"What if Tony Soprano and the phantom arms girl from Elefen Lied teamed up?" I'm not a "le Japanese humor" guy. Kaguyasama and GTO at most made me smile. Gintama makes me sick. This is the only anime that's ever actually made me laugh out loud. It's honestly kind of jarring how funny it is and how mature it's sense of humor is here, compared to the average fan whacking looney toons "baka senpai onichan nani uh oh silly time!" humor you see in most of the anime out there. Like, there is really nothing else like it that's ever been made to my knowledge, in terms of that sense of humor. It's hard to describe. If you watch, you'll see what I mean, genuinely really different, I'd almost call it un-anime.

This is an anime about a girl with telekinetic powers, or that’s what they say, but instead you get an anime about the struggles of capitalism, where the main girl protagonist it´s not even half as interesting as the others characters and doesn´t even has that much screen time, and I love that the show knows it. Even the powers part it´s not even important, the only part when it matters it´s at the presentation of the characters whit it and episode 2, there are entire episodes where they don’t even mention it. The comedic part is not that good, but I think the characters of Anzu, Hitomi, and Nitta are worth a chill watch.

i started the anime after reading about 3/4 of the manga and i think that was a good decision. i then begun already loving the characters and having a stronger understanding of them which allowed me to quickly follow along. otherwise i think i would have been lost in what the point of the anime is. i probably would have rushed through it without fully grasping the themes or caring about the characters as much as i do. the anime is far quicker paced yet does not conclude the plot, instead ending toward the middle of the manga. so i get why it does not click with some viewers. i would recommend anyone to read the manga as it is a truly moving experience and i feel its messaging and ideas are hearty and valuable.

TLDR: cute series but unfinished; please read the manga I really enjoy this anime. It's got cute characters, a good art style, and it's funny. Hinamatsuri is also very wholesome, especially considering Anzu. It dives into her life as a homeless person, and shows her struggles, as well as her wins. The series can get a bit boring at times, but hey, that's slice-of-life for ya. If you like charming father-daughter bonding moments with a hint of chaos, then you'll probably like this. However, if you ONLY watch the anime, then you're missing out on a lot of critical information. Once you finish watching, you'll be left wondering "Who even are these girls? What about the scene at the end?". I highly recommend to anyone interested in watching Hinamatsuri that you read the manga afterwards. Fo…

Hinamatsuri is a really fun anime when it actually focuses on the main characters. A yakuza named Yoshifumi Nitta. And a cute emotionless alien girl with telekinetic powers named Hina. Whenever the show diverts away from these two its very dull. The supporting cast just isnt that good. The pacing suffers because of it. One minutes you are laughing. Next minute yawning. I really love seeing Hina's evolution from showing no emotions to starting to show smiles later in the episodes. She really is the saving grace here. Yoshifumi Nitta being yakuza doesnt actually add anything to the story. Its pretty superfluous. Unfortunately its a "nothing happens" anime. There isnt much of a plot.

I love this anime so much and am so sad it did not get the attention it deserves. It is funny, wholesome, and really heartwarming and the story has an emotional impact in only 12 episodes. It is a hidden gem and I hope it gets more recognition in the future! The characters: Every single one of them goes through their own journey which is able to bring them together. Their differing personalities leads to comical situations and interactions. There are 3 main girls which each have their own story but there are many other side characters who only add to it. The show: Very hilarious and the funniest anime I have seen. None of the jokes were predictable and I loved the unexpected timing. Despite seeming like a slice of life comedy, the show does follow a plot and you learn more about the char…

I seem to enjoy anime where a person of underground figure adopts a child. For example: Buddy Daddies or Spy X Family. But the key difference between those anime and Hinamatsuri is that the Characters in other the other Anime of this niche are Adorable and Charismatic. Hina is just lazy, spoiled and self-centred. Nitta was not an enjoyable character too and they had no real chemistry. The show did try his best to put some wholesome moments in the Relationship between those two, but managed to step back again and undo all the progress they made. I was not interested in the Sidestories of those characters and quite frankly it was boing to watch whenever those two were on the screen. They did nothing with the yakuza theme in term of relationship between Hina and Nitta and the rest of the time…

8/10. Oh, that was so good. Once in a while you get a comedy gem that leaves quite the lasting impression. We follow a good-natured Yakuza, Yoshifumi Nitta, whose life takes an unprecented turn when a mysterious object teleports into his living room. Inside the object is a powerful teenage girl Hina, who possesses super human abilities like psychokinesis. She quickly bosses her way into living with him and despite the absurd situation he finds himself in, Nitta allows her to stay. Hina isn't the only super-powered teenage girl who crash lands in Japan either. Others follow, one of whom is Anzu, who quickly grew on me. I will confess that the first 5 minutes had me seriously consider dropping it. I was confused and had little idea as to what was going on. But I am glad that I sat through…

Hinamatsuri is a short but sweet series. It's really funny and has a lot of heart to go along with its humor. The show is about Nitta, a yakuza gangster who unexpectedly meets a girl named Hina with psychokinetic powers. While it's a bit rocky at first, Nitta comes to view Hina as his own daughter, and their relationship is really heartwarming as the series progresses. While it's short, I really enjoyed Nitta and Hina's father-daughter relationship. Anzu's storyline of dealing with homelessness also had a lot of heart. I enjoyed the anime (short as it was) so much that I've even started reading the (comparably much longer) manga, and I'm enjoying that a lot so far too! If you want a nice quick funny anime about found family, Hinamatsuri's a good choice.

While I didn’t watch everything I would have liked from any year in the history of the medium, 2018 is easily the worst year in anime history that I remember, based on everything that I watched so far that came out in it. I still have to watch some other titles to see if I’m wrong or not, but until the moment I write this, there’s only one show in it which I gave an above average rating, this one, and even then I only consider it to be just decent. Initially I didn’t care about it much because I tend to dislike anime comedies, but this one had certain good reputation, and I watched so many awful to meh titles from that year so one more wouldn’t hurt. To my pleasant surprise, a story that begins with an esper (alien?) girl falling over the head of a yakuza didn’t go for the usual over exa…

"Hinamatsuri" is about a yakuza guy who suddenly finds a superpowered girl in his home one day and ends up adopting her as his daughter. The whole vibe of the anime is super chill and funny, packed with Japanese humor, illogical randomness, and tons of witty banter. The side characters in this show are really well-developed, so you won't get that "too much main character focus turning everyone else into NPCs" problem. Their interactions are also pretty hilarious. There isn't a strong main plotline, probably because it only has 13 episodes. I've heard the manga has a lot of important story arcs that didn't make it into the anime, which might leave some people feeling like the show is a bit disjointed. But honestly, it doesn't ruin the viewing experience. Just treat it like a slice-of-life…

I'm gonna say it simple, "Hinamatsuri" excels at its main challenge: to entertain. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard that tears were rolling down my eyes or binge-watched an anime with such enthusiasm. This show is perfect for anyone who loves silly humor (yes, that's me), funny expressions, a straight-to-the-point narrative (you won't be surprised by the unexpected plot development), and relatable characters. The comedic timing is impeccable, and the characters' reactions are priceless. Each episode brings a new level of hilarity, making it impossible to stop watching. Literally, I had to put my project on pause to complete it. In summary, if you're in the mood for a good laugh and an enjoyable storyline, I highly recommend "Hinamatsuri." It's a comedy gem that should not…

I have finished re-watching this anime 4 times in different periods of time. I think this anime is still the best, even though I have watched it again, there are still parts that can make me laugh. This is different from other anime, where when you re-watch it, you will feel bored and not feel like laughing at the comedy in it. This is a complete anime, with a bit of Romance, a sad story, comedy and some not too prominent Action. It's just that I think this anime has missed several stories, when one story that I think is still unfinished is suddenly moved to another story, Maybe the episode factor causes this, so that some stories seem to have just been missed. I hope there is a continuation of this anime, with the same comedy, style and all aspects of the previous season, but unfortuna…

This world takes us all for a spin, regardless of age, size, thoughts or feelings everyone takes this ride. Who knows at what time or what situation there is going to be a naked girl in a metal container to appear out of thin air! That's right, we don't know, and neither did Nitta. Hinamatsuri is not just your average slice of life nor your lets go boom boom Jujutsu Kaisen. its something we see all the time, just people living their lives. Sometimes we go down with a little girl bringing destruction to our building, sometimes we go up by the same little girl laughing over food, cry with it or laugh with it, folks we got a good one here! Not always one can write a plot which follows the story, builds character, shows its funny humor and makes you cry, however seldom we get these shows tha…

Longnines

A well-to-do member of a perfectly legitimate syndicate organization, who dabbles in socially acceptable practices and promotes health and welfare within his community, is one day visited by an aberrant science-fiction version of a stork and is given a gift that keeps on taking. No longer alone, this is the journey of a great communicator and the daughter he never wanted. Hinamatsuri is a comedy that dabbles in irony, wit, absurdity, and deadpan delivery, and it masterfully parallels its laughs with moments of sincerity and heartfelt character development. Every character is memorable and though many of them have different trajectories as far as their own storylines are concerned, all of their paths intersect at various intervals and create a beautifully misshapen web of captivation that…

Hinamatsuri is a pretty cool anime that blends comedy, slice of life, and some supernatural elements. The characters in this anime are a highlight. Hina is this deadpan girl with crazy powers, and Nitta. Their evolving relationship is sweet and funny. Anzu, another telekinetic girl, adds the most interesting bits to the story with her character development. The humor is a big part of the anime. Whether it's Hina or the wacky situations Nitta and his gang find themselves in, it's good for some laughs. The animation is solid, and the telekinetic battles are visually impressive. The character designs match their personalities well. Overall, Hinamatsuri is a fun and heartwarming show with a good mix of comedy and emotional moments. If you're into comedies with a touch of the supernatural and…

Hinamatsuri was a weird one. I saw it since someone told me it was similar to Spy X Family. It was not. I still enjoyed it. It is about a girl who fell from a different world and is being taken care of this yakuza. Weird coincidence as I finished watching Way of the Househusband recently haha anyway this is a good show with good comedy. Really good comedy in fact. Music: OP was meh so was not the biggest fan and not much music in the anime animation quality is also good, stylistic choices are weird but it makes it unique so I'm for it. It has been 5 years. Why is there no sequel?!?!?!?!? Is it not well received? Idk Anyway yea good comedic anime! Final score: 7/10 Thanks! -CyanCheetah

( . .)φ__ hinamatsuri is a fun show if that's what you're looking for﹗however, is it something i would recommend to people? based on the naked minors.. my answer would be, probably not. unless you can somehow.. ignore that.. and other inappropriate adult jokes of preteens— so heads up﹗now with that out of the way— you'd think it'd at least excel in humor from all the reviews; but it's nothing unique and you're better off watching a different anime¿ the jokes are funny in a questionable way but not enough for it to actually send you into a fit of laughter. by the end of the show, you leave feeling like it was a wasted opportunity.. in other words, it's underwhelming. not boring, just mild. but it'd be lying if i said it was all bad. it has a way of making you care. plain in a good way— char…

Finished. 9/10. 16:14. 22/11/2022. The one quality that pulled me in to the world of anime is the fact that there are countless genre to get yourself mixed in, with limitless potential in storytelling, whether that story is linear or just slice-of-life with no stakes or goals in mind. In the case of slice-of-life animes, they have to deliver a specific quality that can portray an anime that almost only resembles daily life in reality while still finding ways to be fun and compelling. This anime, Hinamatsuri, is absolutely a well-done anime in that genre. The premise, as far as most animes can go, is just one of the most normal that you can find while still keeping a creative twist on it. Try to think of it as a mix of Higehiro and Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. What makes an anime fun f…
