Premise: I chose Akebi's Sailor Uniform based on its trailer, as I usually do when deciding which anime to watch. I went into it with genuine curiosity and few or no expectations, without any hype. From the very beginning, I found this anime beautiful. Its art direction is outstanding, although the CGI was a significant drawback for me, as it often is with anime. Some shots and artistic choices also worked better than others, but these issues never stopped me from appreciating the series as a whole. There were already plenty of funny moments in the first episode, and I quickly grew fond of the characters. Kao was particularly surprising to me. I can't remember seeing a younger sister quite like her before, and I found her behaviour both amusing and endearing. Komichi, Kao, and their moth…

What is remarkable about this show is that it does not have any deep dramatic twists or thrilling sort of emotions. It is just telling a story of the daily life of a simple, energetic, kind country schoolgirl. Looking back at all that happened in the show, it’s actually very normal school life, and yet you can’t help but get drawn into its beautiful drama. I was never bored with perfect writing, the astonishing production, the amazing OST, and the warm characters. I won’t say this show is great for you if you’re looking for cozy, cushy entertainment, cuz I always get hooked on hyperemotional twists. In this show, I never needed such a thing, and it’s remarkable to me how it kept its charm until the very end.

As a slice-of-life or CGDCT no-story no-drama no-goal nothing-burger this probably deserves 10/10, it delivers perfectly what it promises (which is nothing). It just shows random and unimportant moments of the school life of main girl and her fiends for no reason other than wasting some time if you have too much of it. Ok, technically there are some episodic plots here, like this or that friend's existential crisis to be resolved with the power of smiles and songs, but nothing really real when you get down to it. The main focus remains on the girls constant carefree smiles and giggles and not the reason behind them. If you want to be charged with some unrealistic silly positivity, this will do nicely. Maybe it's wrong of me, but I do expect something deeper from my anime though, even in th…

due to the absence of male characters it was peaceful to watch. i love how joyful komichi is,, almost woke up the good in me. also my girlie is gay af i don't know why it's not mentioned clearly but it can't be just my thoughts i'm going to read manga to make sure. a good SOL tho. might be good recommendation to distract from real life problems or some episodes can make you remember them if you're teenager, idk, might also help you not worry about them that much. there's a fine thin line between finding this series peaceful or depressing, if i were around 15 i'd probably feel not good enough and go depressed. it's up to your mental.

Upon watching Akebi's Sailor Uniform for the first time, the thing that immediately stood out to me, outside of the phenomenal animation, is its odd fascination with feet and its focus on the allure of these schoolgirls' bodies. That focus is the strangest part of the anime for me, and it took me some time to know how to feel about it. The characters are undoubtedly sexualized, and their bodies idealized, but it feels very considered and deliberate. It feels more that the show is finding immense beauty in these girls' bodies instead of having these oggling shots just for a male audience to lust over. It's strange to say, but this unabashed admiration for every part of the girls' bodies exudes a sincerity unmatched in any other anime which does this kind of thing. Even though it's obvious f…

Basically, this anime wins with its visuals which are too stunning for an animation. There are probably many anime that certainly have good visuals too, but this anime takes it even further to the point where it's sometimes hard to tell whether a scene is a photograph or a pure animated frame. Great visuals certainly won't be enough to say that this anime deserves a good score. I personally really enjoyed the story which was so relaxed and I was able to get carried away with the flow of the characters' lives in this anime. If I have to compare it to another anime, maybe Non Non Biyori is the anime that is very similar to this anime. What makes it different is that we are brought to focus on one main character, unlike Non Non Biyori where in almost every scene, the audience is taken from o…

"A lot of quality wasted" Pack your backpack e be ready for best time of your life, full of joy and fun; is that how people remember their days of school? hard would be one experience that doesn't share their bad days as a student, and that's something "Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku" should've treated too. The anime is beautiful; really beautiful, extremely gourgeous, artstyle and soundtrack is the two aspects that impresses for the detail excellence, the ambient is perfect craved, and that will make the viewer discomfortable at some point, the excess distracts and make it difficult to connect with the world, the magic is on the moments viewers are deserved of beauty, if everything is wonderful at all time, nothing is trully a highlight, but the hobbies kinda benefits from that. Art here is…

This anime could have been a 10/10 if it had some sort of depth or drama. The animation is freaking beautiful, the colors, the characters all of it. The music is top notch, and flows so well with the animation. The characters appearances were amazing, and the main character Akebi has so much personality. The show has no depth. All the ladies are all so nice to each other, there’s no romance, there’s no deep sad story behind any of the characters. If this show had some sort of mean girls, drama, romance, like some sort of life hardship, etc something to give it more depth I would be freaking 10/10ing this show on my list. However I found myself dreading the finish the last few episode after the hype of the beautiful animation and music wore off.

Let me start by saying this series isn't going to be for everyone. There's no huge dramas, no super-tangled romances, no hidden dark plot. This series is purely a celebration of youth, and the joy there-off. Our protaganist is a young girl full of energy and a go-get-em attitude who enjoys being who she is and is excited for the future and to see new things others are interested in. She has a happy family life with a cute as a button younger sister who is just TOTES adorable and a caring mother. Her father is obviously often absent for work but still obviously a loving and loved part of the family. The story revolves around life at a new all girls school, and the other people who go there. The animation is .. quirky at times, at first I was slightly disconcerted by some of the art, but it…

Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku it's just a story from a countryside girl that dreams about using a sailor uniform. Is it good though? My answer is... Yes. Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku animation it's just beautiful. Even though they develop the characters little by little the main focus is Akebi in her uniform. But for having such effort to develop them, it add something for the story. The effort it's not in vain. The consistency it's a great point in the anime, they really did a great job. There a few things you need to know before trying it. It's a slow paced anime centered around a little girly brat and her daily life with a sailor uniform. The show it's enjoyable but the narrative can be boring to some people. Keep that in mind if you wanna watch it. I've enjoyed, so I recommend it.

This "cute girls doing cute things" anime was absolutely amazing, from start to finish. The animations were top notch and among the top quality I've seen, anywhere. The world this anime draws you into is beautiful, and leaves you wishing you could live in that world when you run out of episodes. After this anime ended, I just kind of sat there, not wanting to start anything else for the time being because it would ruin the mood. This anime is also flawed. Well, "flawed" isn't maybe the best word for it. It's ambiguously fanservicey in a way that's ambiguously inappropriate. Akebi is a middle school girl who wants to wear her sailor uniform to school and make lots of friends. She's an outgoing, friendly, lovely, and beautiful young girl who spends all her time at school making friends wit…

This is a very good slice-of-life anime work with many unique advantages that have greatly increased my rating of it. The script and the way the story is portrayed, even as a slice-of-life work, completely avoids using traditional conflicts or backstories to intensify the plot or the emotions of the characters. For example, there are no tragic backstories, regrettable pasts, or misunderstandings in the entire show. For the characters, almost everyone is like a blank paper, with only differences in personality and interests. There are no deliberately constructed contradictions in the interactions, such as accidentally damaging items, misunderstandings from unintentional words, impending separations, or regrets from a failure. This makes it difficult for the story structure to have exciting…

It's not the kind of anime that I usually like, but it's an interesting discovery. I recommend this anime if you wish for a quick and peaceful anime to enjoy freely and not worry about deep concepts or a very long and difficult storyline with a lot of plot twists, this anime is not about that. The anime is just about a girl with her sailor uniform in an elite school full of talented girls who get to know each other better. It's fun, and quiet and some episodes are (surprisingly) very good. Do I think that this anime is one of the best slice-of-life anime that I have ever seen? No, but it has some interesting little things and unique details that you may find suitable for you. I do have to say that the animation is absolutely immaculate! There's nothing bad to be said about how the ani…

Is the story unique? tbh not it's just how it is, i mean slice of life genre doesnt really have border to say it unique right? as long as u can found it in another person life than that count as slice of life. How about art? the art for this anime is really really good, i'll edit it and make some fotage from it. the art is very aesthetic, and instagramable. did it fit with the story? of course it fit. if there's slice of life movie without comedy genre or deep story in it, surely they need to make the art in this level to attract the people. The Mc is extrovert so there's a lot of introvert that doesnt suit while watching it.😅 Let me tell you'all my personal experience by watching it. + first episoce : really boring, uninteresting, doesnt make me fell to watch the next episode, medicor…

Akebi's Sailor Uniform is a decent CGDCT flick but there's not much to grab the viewer's attention. The animation is pretty great and there's a assortment of characters, but said characters are generally bland and there's absolutely no prodding, poking or otherwise confrontational attitude between the characters that would result in lighthearted banter and interactions. Instead, all the characters in scenes generally just wait in place to say their line to progress the episode's immensely thin plot. The original idea is cute, a girl who idolizes sailor uniforms and who can't wait to wear her own but finds out they aren't in style by the time she enters school. Of course this isn't going to carry a story on its own and that's fine, but there's really no other interesting characters to fol…

To begin with, this anime has one of the most beautiful animations and music I have ever seen, audiovisually it has many beautiful details in the setting and the atmosphere is simply magical. Talking about other things... the characters and the story itself are good, each character is nice and the development of the chapters and themes is very enjoyable, it is not excellent or perfect, but for a "Slice of life ". "It fits well. In narrative terms this really doesn't have much, but it's still okay because the story doesn't try to make a spectacular world with such complex characters, it just tries to tell us Akebi's adventures with her friends in high school. , and for me it does it well

This anime is fantastic. I found myself tearing up about eight times while watching it. I could relate to many of the things that happened in my life, which made me feel incredibly emotional. This anime can make you appreciate your friends and your family, like I felt watching this show. Also the anime showcased incredible art and landscapes that allowed me to appreciate the simple things that an ordinary person can see every day. Additionally, the main character is portrayed as almost perfect: social, funny, energetic, and exceptionally talented in many areas. Despite this perfection, it's impossible not to love her. The characters are well-developed and truly unique. I highly recommend this anime to anyone who enjoyed Non Non Biyori.

Akebi’s sailor uniform feels like your standard cgdct anime that doesn’t have anything that helps it stand out nor doesn’t really have any major flaws. It’s the type of anime that could be forgotten in the background after some time has past due to not having a concept nor execution that helps it stand out. The problem with Akebi’s sailor uniform is how plain the plot can be. Though that’s a problem many slice of life can have and is not just a problem Akebi uniquely has. However the way the relationships the protagonist felt instantaneously like you catching a Pokémon in a game. And a few fetishes do come out of the woodwork from time to time. However some of the touching moments in the show felt well earned and you can feel how some characters get closer. The animation and art style al…

One of the best first episodes I've ever seen in a series that basically amounts to people living their lives well. I like watching a good Slice of Life series that allows the audience to get blasted into a comfortable experience. There isn't any grand stakes, even for the genre, since the very objective from our protagonist was achieved around episode two. Hence, the direction reclines more on the aesthetics. The visuals of people enjoying food, observing their friends, dancing, practicing. The core of the series is all about looking at the beauty of life in a place where the city doesn't intrude. There's an emotional core to the story that didn't connect with me, since honestly, the editing had the problem here. The series tried to include this personal connection to the protagonist o…

Akebi's Sailor Uniform? More like Akebi is a Sexual Awakening for an Entire Class, the anime. Akebi is a mix of popular slice of life moe tropes done well individually, all smashed together and shoved into one character. Individually, each episode is fine and the characters are cute enough, but when viewed as one whole narrative it becomes a story about how Akebi is just the coolest and smartest and prettiest and nicest and...etcetera. Every character has to come to love and adore Akebi, whether they were interested to begin with or actively disliked her. Anything Akebi does has to be endearing and personally healing to the character she is interacting with. Akebi has so many abilities and positive personality traits, highlighted by a story focused on telling the viewer how awesome Akebi…
