Based on the premise I expected this to be very bad. It was better than expected. However, it's not good by any means.
- Dialog is mostly retarded. I am not talking about the MC, it's every other character that talks like they come from a children's book.
- World building is bad. The locations/world itself also has no reason to be the way it is. This would have been better with a more generic fantasy world.
- Characters are a mix of annoying and boring. They are mostly one-dimensional.
- Story is not that interesting. Stuff happens, people do things, nobody has a plan.
- Power levels make no sense. Fighting extremely dangerous magical boss-level enemy with basic throwing knifes kind of thing.
It is also annoying how the functionality of the Vending Machine is handled. They started out wi…

I typically despise Isekais due to their lack of depth, and dull uniformity. I got interested in this because I expected more of a silly satire but it is actually just a pretty wholesome slice-of-life anime. I do like the fun little work-around that the protag has to figure out in order to live in a fantasy world as a vending machine that can't move or speak freely. It was cool to learn about the crazy types of vending machines that exist too.
Reborn as a Vending Machine has a relatively typical Isekai plot/world, but it was refreshing to see an Isekai that doesn't have some egotistical, misogynistic NEET as the protag (even though it still is a harem, which is kinda funny for a vending machine lol).
The show knows that it is not something super deep or revolutionary, and it doesn't try to…

This shit's ass
Due to the premise, I watched this expecting a lighthearted and silly comedic story only to experience a show with seemingly no self-awareness or irony about its stupid idea. I saw the rating and didn't thought much of it. "I've enjoyed stuff that hasn't been received that well", I thought, "It couldn't be that bad", I said. Oh how wrong I was.
It follows the story of a dude obsessed with vending machines being reincarnated as one after trying to save one from falling over a cliff. He wakes up being unable to move until a girl shows up and starts carrying him on her back. After that"Hilarity ensues".
This show stumbles into every Isekai trope and executes them poorly. Characters are one dimensional, the world building is weak and by the end it's uninteresting at best.…

Never in my wildest dream did I expect to like an anime titled "Reincarnated as a Vending Machine", but here we are! Hahaha
I actually can't believe they put in a decent amount work in this anime. Good voice actors, good songs, good animation.
I love how unique the premise with Boxxo not being able to speak normally. I like the problems, misunderstandings, and learnings they encountered early on.
But of course, in due time, Boxxo just became the usual OP MC but I still like the creativity.
Also love the feel-good vibes. Great characters too. Pretty sure I'll be watching season 2.

I just finished re-watching Reborn as a Vending Machine, and I have to say it’s just as enjoyable as the first time I watched it! This comedy isekai truly shines thanks to its quirky tropes focused on vending machines and the hilarious scenarios that naturally arise around them. Who knew there were so many ways a vending machine could help beat monsters in a dungeon?
What surprised me so much about this slice of life comedy was how the anime occasionally dives into themes of trauma and loss. These moments give the story some depth and made it easier for viewers to connect with the characters, balancing the humor with genuine emotional story beats. Overall, it’s a fun, unique, and surprisingly heartfelt isekai that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fresh comedic twist about a man Reinc…

Reborn as a vending machine at first sounds like a trash isekai. Surprisingly though it is actually pretty good and a fun watch if you have some time to kill. The Way the character uses the rich history of vending machines is unique and informative. The side characters are your typical generic character types like yandere, tsundere and so on. The Art style also fits the series for well cant wait for season 2.
Boxxo shows that he is very respectful to the opposite gender and respects the characters and their desires.

The title of this anime might scare you away, but honestly I found it quite enjoyable even with the stupidest premise I have ever heard. While it is an isekai, the thought put behind the vending machine mechanics are strangely original and intelligent. I never thought I would see a vending machine attacking enemies with soda bottle explosions but this story did it... somehow. The protagonist sure knows his vending machines very well and always figures out an unique solution that can be used in this fantasy setting.
Something that surprised me was that periods and sex protection are mentionned (very briefly) in this anime, which while it obviously doesn't have anything to do with the story, it is rare to see that side of any fictionnal civilisation. It's so simple yet I appreciate those de…

I can't say I'm an expert when it comes to anime, but "Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon" is an enjoyable anime with a unique gimmick. It's about what you would expect from the genre: Born again, discovering your true powers, and generally being the key to resolving the problems your friends face. However, I still did find myself enjoying this, despite how copy-and-paste it can feel. I do think the gimmick does work out in this anime's favor, as it does present an interesting story.
The first few episodes are, admittedly, a little boring and very safe feeling, but the story line does get a bit more intriguing as Boxxo learns his role in this new world, and the people around him adapt to living with this piece of miracle technology. Characters were, for the most part, i…

Y'know, I've been staring at this anime for a while, seeing it whenever I scroll through Anime recommendations, and I've constantly put it off because it just seems like it'd be bad. And yet, here I am now, having watched it, and its safe to say, it's surprisingly good.
This is one of those shows that seem like they'd be terrible, but somehow are pure gold.
I'm not saying this is actual gold, but it sure smells and sure looks like gold. Watching this is an absolute joy, its simple fun, and yes, the premise is absolutely idiotic, but that's part of the joy. There's a clear love for the idea and premise by the original writer, and sure the adaption likely lost a lot of the touch, but its clear that the team that worked on this clearly loved the idea.
Overall, this is a solid watch, its not…

"Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon" (2023) starts with a premise that has a lot of potential as an absurd comedy and fantasy parody, but it quickly turns into the same fluff that makes up 90% of isekai stories that began as web novels.
The story boils down to mindless action with few plot twists. Occasionally, it offers some interesting moments—mainly because the protagonist (Boxxo), having no arms or legs, must rely on his vending machine powers. It's in those moments that the story becomes a bit more creative.
From soda machines to jukeboxes, Boxxo’s “weapons” are just everyday conveniences from our world, but when used at the right moment, he manages to turn them into tools—or even weapons.
I was quite disappointed that the story took itself so seriously and rarel…

Alright I want to start off this review by saying I had decently high hopes for this show! As dumb as that sounds for a show with this premise, mean how could a show about a man turning into a vending machine not be funny?? Right??
I was sadly disappointed this show takes itself way too seriously at times it puts no effort to even attempt to make a joke!! It’s one of the biggest wastes of time it is horrible!!! It’s boring, the animation sucks and the plot is nonexistent!! Please don’t waste your time with this show. It’s not even a decent hate watch lol 2-10

Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon – Another Isekai Anime! 😅
I just started watching this anime today, and I’ve already completed 6 episodes. The main reason I picked it up was the bizarre yet unique concept—being reborn as a vending machine! I was really curious to see how they would execute such an idea. At first, I couldn’t even imagine how a machine that can’t even move could be part of an adventure anime! But the storytelling takes an interesting approach, making it somewhat engaging.
But don’t take this as high praise—it's no masterpiece 😅. The story mostly revolves around Boxxo (the vending machine MC) and Lammis (his companion). The vending machine can change types as needed—sometimes a food vending machine, sometimes a book vending machine, and more. The con…

I have so many questions. It felt like I was on a weird trip. I thought the show was going in a completely different direction. I thought it would be more of a comedy, playing on the stario type of isekai, but it did not. The fact that it took itself seriously most of the time was really weird. It felt so bizarre.
The show over all isn't bad, but it's not necessary good. It's very middle in the road. The plot is as generic as a isekai show can be. Its very basic. The only thing that sticks out is that this dude is a vending machine. That's it. The animation is fine. Nothing to write home about.
It's the most 5/10 show ever.

I'm honestly kinda sick of how many reincarnation isekai have been coming out in the past several years, to the point where I just sorta avoid the genre entirely. But this one's premise was just so ridiculous, I couldn't resist. And it actually surprised me! Ya know those indie games that use a single gamepley mechanic for the entire game? That's what this show reminded me of! The vending machine is sentient and everyone else is aware of this, but he can't communicate beyond a handful of pre-set phrases. Not to mention that he can't move on his own since he's, well, a vending machine. But he uses all of those restrictions to help out as much as possible in every situation. And he has a LOT more variety to what he can do than you may think at first glance! You actually get to learn a lot ab…

It is very self-aware absurdist comedy, if that wasn't already apparent by its very concept. It feels at times like it tries to get away with a lot of contrived solutions to every problem that occurs, but then you remember ITS A FRICKIN FANTASY ADVENTURE SHOW ABOUT A FRICKIN VENDING MACHINE.
I especially like how he can communicate complex ideas to anyone without much difficulty, using only the phrases "Hello there!" and "Too bad!". Reminds me of the "Timmy fell down the well" meme from the classic Lassie series. Makes me laugh every time. The whole show is this level of goofy. I love it.
Suspend your disbelief about what a vending machine is capable of and you will enjoy this.

"Hello There!" This is the sort of anime which you watch without any real investment, you just want to be entertained and pass the time. Maybe you're doing dishes, folding laundry, or camped out in a hotel with nothing to do. You open Crunchyroll and fire this up to pass the time.
This is a show which can't decide if it's SAO or Overlord, and that's not horrible, but it's also not gonna replace Full Metal Alchemist as your favorite show. Every episode is a laundry list of how to use plot armor with no consequence for any characters who are unfortunate enough to find themselves in danger. I would not go so far as to say that this is as egregious as Overlord, which is quite frankly unwatchable in comparison, but it does tread close sometimes. The human who has somehow become a vending machin…

Reborn as a Vending Machine has to have one of the most ridiculous premises of any Isekai out there, hell, probably out of all of anime. Yet... it's surprisingly decent entertainment.
Animation / Art / General Visuals - 7/10
-----------------------------------------------
While not particularly noteworthy in any aspect, the art quality and detail is decent. Animations are unimpressive, but acceptable.
Sound / Music / Voice Acting - 7/10 ------------------------------------------
Pretty standard quality stuff across the board.
Story - 7/10
-------------
By all accounts the story really isn't impressive, yet it's surprisingly stable in quality and doesn't try to be anything but a nice relaxing, ridiculous fantasy ride.

I don't want to like this show as much as I do. Conceptually a lot of it is ridiculous, and it's not even completely internally consistent, because Boxxo seems to lack a lot of qualities modern vending machines possess, like a more varied speech processor. Though I suppose if he had them, it would make certain things "too easy." But a lot of elements of the world are interesting, and it's a new twist on things. The animation is... fine, generally. The music is nothing to write home about. I like the Japanese voice acting. The story seems to be moving along at a pretty decent pace. It does feel like it's going... somewhere. Not anywhere that special, but somewhere.
Look, on one hand, people are carting around a sentient, overpowered deus-ex-machina vending machine through a dungeon. How ca…

A boring seasonal isekai with a dumb twist. The animation is pretty standard and uninspired. Characters have no depth and are regularly annoying. The story is pretty much of the exact same quality. Voice acting is slightly grating at times, the casting is fine, and there are no stand out performances... so average for a dub. The soundtrack is alright, but not memorable. The op is good but doesn't fit the anime, the ed fits and is decent, but not mind blowing. Overall, not really worth going that into detail about. It's not terrible, but there isn't any reason to watch it. It's literally just seasonal isekai. 4.80/10 Dubbed

Honestly, I really kind of enjoyed it. It wasn't the best Isekai in the world, but it's light hearted humor and direction made me enjoy it! I would try 3 episodes? Hopefully that will tell you if you really want to watch it or not. It was far down on my list to watch because the idea seems dumb, like "Takt Op. Destiny" (which I ended up loving, the description is just atrocious), but it was a good watch! I started it because I clicked it randomly from my Crunchyroll list.
Will you want to watch it over and over again? Probably not. But if you enjoy Isekai, I think you'll find it amusing and at least worth one watch.
