One of my very first anime that I started watching 12 years ago, and finally sat down to dig up old PTW anime.
It's been some time, and I don't remember all the details, but I cannot forget the feeling of just enjoying and all mellow while watching this film and the series itself. It reminded me of school time, of making friendships back then, and enjoying my time and watching this anime without any worries.
The film reminded me of the animation from the last decade and how beautiful it was. It just felt so smooth and just enough. Really liked the intro sequence, and was a bit hyped about the girls changing their style even for a brief, funny skit.
The whole premise of the film is okay, better than a beach episode, or so the tropes go when it comes to anime and their extras. It was a…

Okay, here we go for the thirty-second time: (if only my last review hadn't magically disappeared...)
Characters:
-Main characters: They are the largest group of girls I know who complement each other best, although I have no doubt that as soon as I see “Love Live!” it will take the title. (6/7)
-Secondary: Although they didn't do much in this movie, they are still likable. (1/3)
Logic:
Despite some unlikely events, this anime has managed to maintain its essence until the end, so I have nothing to complain about here, which is surprising for a comedy. (10/10)
Entertainment (Personal):
There's nothing that makes it stand out from its anime seasons, which is fine, so I think it's just me that I don't really like watching movies with such everyday scenes that it should be considered “Slic…

This movie tells a story where K-On girls go overbroad. In here we will see about their relationship in depth. You will be taken once in a while to a nostalgia trip down the franchise. I'm amazed about how they can make my heart touched the second time in this franchise. Its really a great ending to the girls journey. Even though they still have the manga, it will never change the fact that this is the true ending for the series.
Story 9/10
At first it kinda confusing when this movie take place. Because the last episode of K-On anime didn't match with the beginning of this. But as you gradually watch the movie, you realize it. I didn't mind to much about it tho. Beside from that confusion, the story is good overall. They still keep the wholesomeness, moe, and cuteness this girls bring eve…

This is actually the first time I watched an anime movie based on an actual series, so I had high expectations. Perhaps a little too high.
Going in, I was hoping this was going to be a direct sequel to the second season's finale. I thought the film was going to show us the girls' first real taste of adulthood where they learn what it might be like to be professional musicians. Realizing that their graduation trip happens *before* they graduate was a bit disappointing, and more than a little baffling. Maybe this is a Japanese custom, but as an American, vacations are for *after* you actually graduate.
However, this was counterbalanced by the fact that the film is about them getting the inspiration to write their graduation song for Azusa, which was my main criticism of the show itself. I…

Story:7
The story was okay, I was a bit confused because it follows the ending of the anime. To my understanding, they were going to go on a trip after graduating and taking exams in college, in the anime. In the movie, they went on a trip before taking the college exams. idk Im a bit confused.
The story focuses on the trip while adding to the ending of the anime, it is more lively and the music is more prevalent than in the anime which was a pleasant surprise considering they are a music club.
I wasn't sure how to feel when Sawako showed up by the end to help the band. Mostly because at the end of the Anime Sawako was not planning to go to the trip, but she ends up contradicting herself in the movie for no reason other than to just be there.

K-On! was my first anime since pandemics ecloded and also marks my return to anime world after some years on hiatus. And... omg, there's so much I want to say about this masterpiece!! I don't even know where to begin. But I'll try...
First of all... we must go back to April 2012.
I was a only-action shounen fan. In my class, a girl said to me: "you need to watch K-On!, is so cute!" and I said no. Because I liked action, I liked blood. Years passed by and I lost contact before high school begins. And now I... I want to apologize so bad. I want to hug her and say I'm sorry, say we had to talk more... I don't know where she is right now... but I hope my feelings touches her -- and whenever I cry listening to Tenshi ni Fureta Yo as well, hope she hears it with me.
Ok. Anyways...
This show i…

Ugh I feel it as if it were an extra chapter felt, it shows that they understood perfectly where to put the film chronologically, and this makes it work very very well. Both in chapter 24 and at the end of the film, I cried for the song they wrote for you, it is very beautiful. In the film there was much more music than in the series I liked that. In other words, they play 3 times, but if I'm wrong, they are the times they played in the last season. Nothing very cute anime, very unique makes you want to have a band.

And so, my re-watch comes to a close. I don’t know where to begin... My heart aches, but it feels so full. I just HAVE to say something about this, even if ultimately I don’t have much to say, but it’ll be difficult keeping everything coherent as my brain desperately scrambles to put all the words in place - even finding the right words to use is hard. I’ll try my best.
K-ON! The Movie is the last hurrah for the series, and it is every bit as spectacular as the TV series that preceded it. Nearing graduation, the girls decide to go on a trip abroad, and thanks to divine intervention from Ton-chan, it’s decided they’ll go to London. The trip to London is fun and all, but that’s secondary to the true intent of the senior club members – to make the best gift they possibly can for their junior…

Where should I begin, I never took K-on seriously and took a break from it. Decided to watch this movie and I regret it 100%.
I watched both seasons and nothing happened even the comedy was cringe but it kept me entertained.
I bought a 4k TV just to watch this movie.
The movie is still plotless but it still tells a story. The coming of age themes from season 2 are in and are more prevalent than ever. It's done in such a way that a younger person can understand while an older person would be able to get deeper meaning out of it.
Overall I give it a solid 7.5/10

The same lovable light-hearted K-On! show but with a bigger budget and the girls get to leave the country...So the already prettily animated series gets prettier in the movie, they add a few more songs, and they find a way to tie into the show's finale while adding a super fun side-story in the process? Was any of this necessary? Absolutely not! Should all fans of K-On! watch and love this movie? Absolutely!
Much like many episodes in the show, this movie really did not have to be made. Yet, I am so glad that it was!
Sadly, the girls did not accomplish their goal of performing at Budakon like they said they would in episode 1, however, that doesn’t mean that they didn’t put on some great performances along the way including in this film. Plus, it’d probably be a bit far-fetched to see th…

I just finished watching this movie and can finally said that i completed watching the K-On franchise. First off i wanna say that this review might contain some minor spoilers, which i assure you that it won't affect your experience upon watching the movie. With that said this review will be using the standard myanimelist review which consist of 6 parts such as Story, Art, Sound, Character, Enjoyment, and Overall.
Story: The timeline of the movie takes place between Season 2 of K-On! episode 23-24) and Episode 27(which is considered as special episode 3 for season 2 of K-On! or K-On!! series). While watching the movie it makes me remember the song they performed for Azusa(Assuming that you finished watching season 2 before watching this movie, then you probably know what i'm talking abou…

If you’re reading this, I’ll assume you’ve already seen K-on! season 1 and 2.
The movie is really fun and enjoyable to watch. That beings said, the movie doesn’t feel like a grand cinematic experience, it just feels like more of season 1 or 2. It’s a little disappointing, but that’s not a big deal.
The story is really exciting and does a great job of keeping you interested, although I felt like there was some missed opportunities since they did not spend that much time exploring London. The Movie gives some more context the show, and K-on! fans will really enjoy that. The character relations are as relatable as always. The jokes are still really funny.
The music is really awesome. There are multiple new arrangements of classics from the show as well as a couple new songs. The sound aff…

I actually liked K-On! and K-On!!, and I like slice-of-life anime in general.
Perhaps 22 minutes of aimless antics seems charming, but you can't expand it to nearly two hours. The entire movie has about the level of "conflict" (like, say, Yui wants a guitar) as a perhaps two episode of the series spread across 2 hours or so. In my opinion, it just doesn't work. This is about 2 episodes worth of content (40 minutes) spread across 110 minutes, and it's really boring.
I say this as someone who views K-On! and K-On!! favorably, so don't be super surprised if you liked the series but the movie takes otherwise tolerable elements a bit too far for you.

To simply put I have always enjoyed K-On. From the funny story line and enjoyable characters in the first two seasons, to the stupid things that they always do. I found myself enjoying K-On through these things.
The K-On movie was no exception with the same enjoyable characters and the cute and stupid things that they always do. The K-On movie was my peak enjoyment throughout my time watching K-On. An Adventure arc that ended with goodbyes.
To me this is a very great way to end something off. I'm not saying that K-On is over however it's a great way to end off their high-school year together. The songs being used was also no exception i sometimes found myself listening to it on spotify when going to sleep... that might be off topic but i had to throw that in. Of course different people h…

K-On! Movie, ~Fuwa Fuwa time~ Fuwa Fuwa time~
K-On! the movie was surprisingly underwhelming, didn't had many expectations before going in and I certain to say I'm not disappointed but not impressed. I am going to take it that those who watch the movie watches the series as well if you don't then, what's wrong with you? So the movie is about our lovely Light Music Club on their adventures in London, one of the places where Rock and Roll were born from. Upon hearing this I was pretty excited because I am into Rock and would love to see the band react or listen to artists like The Clash and maybe even The Beatles. Even Mio said she was excited to hear about Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page, but what did we get? We didn't really get any forms of English music and it seemed like they just forgot a…

I watched 2 seasons of K-ON, the story is light, but for this one movie, I give "standing applause" because it has exceeded my expectations. K-On films can really take me into the story. when the beginning of the film began, I said whether K-On movie would provide beautiful music at the end, because for 2 seasons, I felt that the song that HTT performed not special. but apparently they can give me what I expect. beautiful music with deep meaning. thank you to all who have been instrumental in the process of adapting K-ON Films. You have managed to make me smile and hold back emotional tears while watching it.

Review in brief:
KyoAni’s last hurrah with K-On! is both everything fans could have asked for and only what non-fans have already come to expect by now. The light plot serves as a backdrop to the Keion-bu goofing off and having snacks, except when it rehashes season 2’s ending. You probably already know what to expect if you’ve seen even a single episode of K-On! ~ the question is whether that is for better or for worse.
Review in full:
The K-On! Movie encapsulates the experience of the anime series in one big, gift-wrapped package. Every element ~ strengths, weaknesses, and miscellaneities, are brought out in full force. It touches upon the very few plot points in K-On!’s story, and does far more than that in regards to its ending. It looks and sounds better than its topic, story, and…

If you liked K-on this delivers more of the same quality
I marathoned K-On seasons 1 and 2 as well as the ovas over the span over a week or so. The ending of the second season, for lack of a better word, fucked me up. K-On, although it is just about cute girls drinking tea and occasionally playing music, had tons of great characters and development for them which made it hurt even more for it to end. This movie made it worse.
Spoilers regarding the end of season 2 as well as some stuff that is talked about at the end of this movie (there's a part later on that becomes spoiler free)
Honestly the scene where HTT plays their final song for Azusa was a really nice send off for the show, but this movie adds more context to the song. Of course there is tons of context delivered throughou…
