For anyone that doesn’t know, this is a spinoff for Jojo Part Four starring Kishibe Rohan. To be frank this wasn’t a character I was necessarily interested in but decided to check it out anyway since it’s only four episodes.
Honestly, it’s pretty fun and while it’s nothing groundbreaking, it doesn’t really need to be. Firstly this has a very different vibe than what your used to when it comes to Jojo. While Jojo revels into the action space more, this deals with more mystery/horror elements which I can appreciate it. Every episode was just fun and never felt boring.
This review is going to be pretty short since there isn’t too much to talk about, it being four episodes. If you like the character and want a nice spin on things, I would say this is worth the watch. I mean I’m honestly not…

"goddamn, you see that shit? that was fucking crazy. anyway, i'm kishibe rohan."
this is a hell of a fun little miniseries if you like horror, standalone short stories, and rohan in weird gay little outfits. and it is horror! i could find mutsu-kabe hill or the run next to a collection of ito shorts and wouldn't even bat an eye. i love it when araki makes me cringe and feel more dread in a 24 minute animated television episode than like, any given blumhouse film does. personal highlight for me was the running theme of getting really, inconceivably stressed about having to eat food around other people, he's so real for this. kyoka is also incredibly cute.

I can't help but feel that Araki-sensei, the author of Jojo, has a bit of a particular liking for this Rohan character of his. Perhaps it is Araki's way to insert himself as a character in the Jojo universe and have his own adventures.
This OVA series contains four individual stories of Rohan, happening shortly after Jojo Part 4, Diamond is Unbreakable. And while it's a different context, it's still the same Jojo vibe and universe. Each of the stories features Rohan in various adventures, as he perpetually looks for inspiration for his manga. Yet the law of attraction between stand users never sleeps, and he ends up again and again in the most bizarre situations.
If you've loved the Jojo series, you'll also love this, just like I did.

The character kishibe rohan from jojo bizarre adventure Diamond wa Kudakenai now get his own ovas narrating his bizarre adventures that use as inspiration for his manga, kishibe since his appearing in the series i found him an really interesting and really well rounded character that to me ar least was oustanding from many others of the cast, this time we can get a little more in depth an handful of stories in which our main protagonist is kishibe itselft this time takes the spotlight.
To me the atmosphere , direction and the stories were top notch it actually to me was to an certain degree so much more enjoyble that Diamond wa Kudakenai BUT its not the same at his core if we compared both of them, though it still hold the same values. In this ovas we see the stands making his appearances…

i am a simple woman. i see rohan kishibe and i must consume the media. i have made this man my entire personality and i am simultaneously in love with him. but seriously, this ova is so cool. i honestly found parts of it more bizzare and disturbing than most of the actual anime. i love that it's just rohan telling stories of things that happened to him, from his perspective. i might be biased because im obsessed with rohan and jojos in general but i would definitely reccomend this it was super cool and ive rewatched it a few times

Pretty cool direction for something in the universe of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure to take that manages to feel wholeheartedly like something that fits right in with the series, while being its own thing. The supernatural, urban horror route here is executed pretty well and made to feel very unique thanks to Araki's sense of humour, worldbuilding, and story writing all playing into giving this a very different vibe to your average anime ghost stories. Sure, you've got things like vengeful spirits and mysterious haunted villages out in the middle of nowhere, but you've also got elements such as treadmill-based competitions and a guy's life being decided by whether or not he can catch a piece of popcorn he threw in the air. The juxtaposition in these more grisly themes and creature being juxtap…

Tired of watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Series? Watch these OVAs.
So, I just finished watching the spin-off of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable" entitled "Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai or Rohan Kishibe Does Not Move" with four episodes of OVAs themed and I'm going to make a review.
Before starting the discussion, I think I know why the title is "Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai or Rohan Kishibe Does Not Move" probably because the content in the OVAs only contains Rohan-sensei's the Comic Artists who sits quietly outside a shop in Morioh City and doesn't move while telling his friends about his random journey. He also filled several monologues with good messages.
Okay, now we'll start to the the first episode whose title is "Fugou Mura" which means "Millionare Village". So the…

When I first saw Rohan Kishibe and his Stand, Heaven's Door, in JoJo Part 4, I thought, "This guy sucks!" After that, though, I grew to love him. For that reason, I was very happy to get into the OVAs dedicated to him. I was admittedly a bit disappointed by some elements of it, but it was a very good concept - an "Illustrated Man"-like account of the many experiences of and stories surrounding Rohan's everyday adventures - and I enjoyed it a lot.
STORY
I very much appreciate Araki delving more into horror for this series, and it makes for some engaging well-executed moments (e.g., the ending of "The Run" and almost the whole of "At a Confessional"). That said, there were other moments that I thought were a bit too ridiculous (e.g., Gunpei's death in "Mutsu-kabe Hill") as well as some hard…

If you liked Rohan from part 4 then this is just some more of him. I would say the 1st 3 episodes are pretty mediocre but the finale episode out of the 4 was a lot better and probably because it was the only one that Araki fully wrote already. I would say you could skip this one if you want but if your bored and waiting for part 6 this could do for now. Not much to say on this one because its soo short and describing everything just takes the fun out of it.
I would say I can easily give this a 6/10 nothing crazy but nothing amazing....

I wasn't expecting much going into "Thus Spoke" but I'm happy to say my expectations were for the most part fulfilled. This is a very short OVA series so I'll try to summarize my thoughts in a short manner.
Story - 7
TSKR's story goes completely unaffecting the rest of the Jojo canon, so it's easy to see how many fans may have skipped out on it. However, the story is largely focused on local mysteries which surprisingly don't have much to do with stand powers.
Art - 10
The art style in each OVA is very reminiscent of Araki's current manga style - from my understanding, these OVAs are adapted from a standalone manga. Araki's current style is by far my favorite of his work, and seeing it in animated form is wonderful.
Sound - 7
Not much to talk about here. It's passing, nothing stood out…

Finally Rohan sensei got his own show! Kishibe Rohan is definitely a type of character that deserves his own series. Introduced at the beginning as the antagonist of Diamond is unbreakable, now telling his stories through one shots. The character had already charisma and character depth and his own way of story telling along with unpredictable story writing (talking about Heaven's door). In the show we will learn about manners, solve mysteries, experience obsession and have a trip to Italy with Than sensei. JoJo parts may be full of violence and blood but not dark and extreme horror than this.
The show starts with Kishibe Rohan on conversation with his editor regarding one shots for the manga publication. In the conversation, they happen to talk about a number of luxurious house situated…

Did you enjoy S4 of JoJo? You might enjoy this title as well.
Story: It's basically 4 standalone stories being told by Rohan about his past. They are all decent and fit JoJo setting.
Art: Art style of the anime is a darker version of S4. It's not as colourful while still on the same great level.
Sound: OP is very atmospheric and unique. ED is fine. The music in anime is good as always.
Character: As it's basically Kishibe Rohan and 1-2 supporting characters in each episode there is not so much to describe here. All the characters are just right for their story arcs.
Enjoyment: I guess enjoyment here depends on if you like Rohan as a character or not. I personally do find him interesting. Plus all the stories were decent and had their twists.
Overall: light 9.

I've just saw the trailer on YouTube on Netflix's channel. Oh my god, I thought, another Jojo series? Nope! An OVA... With 4 episodes... And not the right episodes too! It starts off with episode 18 or something, and then goes lower. I got that confused that I had to search it up. However, it's the correct sequence.
The story is about Rohan telling stories, and their very creepy, and that's why I give it a 10 for the story. The stories are good too and interesting as well.
The art, however, is kinda off from Jojo Part 4 I think, I didn't exactly like it unfortunately. I wondered why they did that. Just the shading is off, the rest is alright.
The sound design and voice actors are the same as Part 4 I think. The OP and ending songs I've not listened to, but I think it'll be okay.

This OVA ends up having a totally different style than what we see in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, don't watch it thinking that there will be stand battles, because the only stand that appears is Rohan's, this OVA tells stories that Rohan ended up witnessing in his adventures in search of content for their manga, the OVA ends up being more drawn to the horror genre due to the stories told, in my opinion it is a very good OVA, as it shows a little more of Rohan who is one of the best characters in part 4, and the stories are very good and well produced, those who watched JoJo will like it, and it’s also a great gateway for anyone who wants to start watching JoJo, since you don’t need a context to understand the story. Sorry for any mistakes in writing, I used the Google translator.

The OVA Thus spoke Kishibe Rohan is an series of 4 relatively disconnected stories told from the perspective of Rohan Kishibe from Jojo's bizarre adventure part 4: Diamond is unbreakable. While it is not absolutely necessary to have seen Part 4 to enjoy this series it is advised that you do so to better understand who Rohan is as a person. The individual stories are very unique and unexpectedly different from what Jojo's is traditionally known for, that is there are no protracted stand battles but rather Rohan's odd experiences in the wider world. He travels to Italy, forests outside Morioh, the gym etc. I found one or two of the stories to be delightfully creepy and unsettling (that's a good thing) despite being told in anime format which generally struggles to convey creepiness. I caught…

A spin-off series about Rohan Kishibe and the many adventures he has in his quest to come up with real-life stories to adapt for his manga series. These don't really have any bearing on the main story of JoJo, but other characters from the JoJo universe make cameos and the stories are the same sort of cleverly stupid and over-the-top that made me fall in love with JoJo as a series so naturally, this spin-off show was easy for me to fall in love with as well.
Ep1: At a Confessional *This was probably my least favorite of the bunch as it reminded me of a goofy Simpsons Treehouse of Horror type of horror skit as opposed to a JoJo episode in terms of the plot where a beggar put a curse on a laborer saying he would come back to kill him on the day he is happiest. But it turned for the better w…

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is an OVA that I had been waiting for for a long time to reach streaming services. Rohan is one of my favorite characters from my favorite Jojo part, Part 4, but sadly after finally getting to watch this OVA, I was still thoroughly disappointed.
The OVA is an anthology series centering around various mysterious happenings that Kishibe Rohan comes across. The returning characters from part 4 seem to all be in character, but there is one thing that is noticeably off about all of them: the artstyle. This OVA is animated in the style of Part 5's anime rather than Part 4's style. This leads to characters like Koichi looking bizarrely angular compared to their Part 4 designs. This was somewhat disappointing since part 4's artstyle was unique and suited these characters…

WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS FOR THIS SERIES
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is a spin of series of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, and includes characters from part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable.
It has 4 different interesting stories from the perspective of Kishibe Rohan, each episode being independent from the others.
Personally, I enjoyed the non-stand-based stories, and I enjoyed learning a bit more about Rohan.
However, it did include some confusing details. For example, episode 3. This episode was about Rohan explaining one of his experiences. In this episode, he competes on a treadmill with another side character not mentioned in part 4. After, he realizes that the person was an avatar for the Greek god Hermes. This was very strange, considering “avatars” had never be…

A unique aspect of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable compared to other parts of the series was that it didn't really have to end where it did. While other parts have very specific goals that left no room for further expansion, the story of the strange little town of Morioh and it's inhabitants could have continued after the defeat of Kira Yoshikage, but was ended so that the series could move on to new storylines.
Seeing an opportunity to expand on DiU's open ending, Hirohiko Araki came up with the series of spinoff one-shots known as "Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan", which follows the fan favorite character through various weird anecdotes from his life. These one-shots have been written intermittently throughout the years, starting in the middle of Part 5: Golden Wind, an…
